If we actually had more time we could have seen a lot more of the interactions with all the students at hexside, and a return of the emerald entrails. I would have loved to see Luz interact more with Ed and Em.

One of the most beautiful things TOH has done is these three these beautiful Blight siblings

When we meet Edric and Emira we see their relationship with Amity is strain at best toxic at worse and I'll forever blame Odaliea for it

This woman pitted her children against each other and made sure the three were always against each other in some shape or form

Always referring Edric and Emira as the twins, always tying them together and making it seem as they are one instead of two separate individuals

{Emiras fear of being stuck with Edric forever showed that her biggest fear was never being seen as her own person which could have caused resentment and anger towards her brother}

Edric had seen himself as burden and someone who was always messing up and doubted himself a lot

Amity was put a lot of pressure by her mother but I have the feeling that she also purposely shown more love towards the twins {referring them to adorable scoundrels in front of Amity and them never getting into trouble} to keep them further apart

Lost in Language we saw how Edric and Emira wanted to teach Amity a lesson by threatening her with her diary while Amity was always telling on Edric and Emira its moments like this that gave us a small look at how Odealia treated them.

In a way Odealia convinced them that in order to have either a) her approval or b) to not be punished they had to find a way to hurt the other so the other will be okay

And yet, and yet the twins saw the error of their ways they apologized to Amity, they still do so because they felt guilty for hurting her

Amity began to care and worry for her siblings and we begin to see how much they love and care for each other.

Emira encouraging Amity to try the spell and giving her a pep talk showing her little sister she had confidence in her

The twins helping Amity and Luz with Grom, Amity and her siblings spending time together outside of Luz Edric and Emira sneaking them in the factory

hell we see Emira doing her hair {for me that was huge because for me my hair is important and only allow people i trust to touch it so seeing Emira and Amity have that moment it meant a lot to me} and Edric in her room but also giving her advice.

Edric and Emira helping Amity with the brawl and even getting mad at their dad when he wouldn't let Amity help him etc.

Edric and Emira coming to terms that they can have their own identity without losing the other that they can still be twins but be seen as their own person

The Blight siblings could have hated each other could've spent the entire show tolerating each other and only interacting the way most media siblings do making snarky remarks to each other hating on each other and only having moments when it was convenient to the plot

Odealia could've succeeded in making sure these three hated each other that they didn't interacted as much and kept putting up with one another but she didn't instead we got three siblings who put their differences aside acknowledge their wrong doings, apologized for it, and in the end got a sibling relationship that is built on mutual trust respect and above all love.

Edric Emria and Amity have come so far and grown so much the three have a beautiful bond one that they themselves were able to save and create something beautiful

I just watched Clouds on The Horizon, aka episode 20 of season 2 of The Owl House, and BOY. OH. BOY. Do I have some things to say about Odalia Blight.

She is so much worse than I ever thought. What in the hell was she talking about with getting the kids involved with the family business??? Why does she constantly pick on Amity? She claimed that it's Amity's fault that the twins are getting into mischief. Has she MET her twins???

Also, the fact that she kept it all business until the last second, even though she claimed it was for the family- oh no-no-no. It's ALWAYS been about money. Money, and appearances.

But one thing that I have to praise for: the part where she finds out that Amity and Luz are dating. She immediately disapproves. Not because Amity is dating a girl, but because said girl will taint and tarnish the family's image in Odalia's eyes.

I truly love that in The Owl House, or on the Boiling Isles at least, it's a normal thing. A "we don't need to focus on this because it's just life" thing. No one ever questions Raine on their pronouns. No one bats an eyelash at anyone falling for anyone else or being who they are- because they just are who they are!

I'm gonna go re-watch the episode now.

Ameila Blight x Blight siblings

Summary: Ameila talks with her siblings about Sapphire.

Warnings: Fluff.

Ameila arrived back at the Manor from getting groceries. As the oldest of the children, she put it upon herself to keep her sisters and brother safe from her mother. Her father was never around, so she also took care of them in a multitude of ways. Such as today, when she got the groceries for everyone. As she set the bag down on the table, she noticed her siblings getting out over something, and decided to check.

"Heya, guys. What's the big fuss about?" "Only the greatest hero EVER!", replied Edric, and Ameila turned her head to the TV to find them watching...news footage about Sapphire. That made her feel a little weird. "Eeee, she's so cool! Look at yer go," yelled out Emira, as Amity hugged a Sapphire plush she made herself. "Yeah, she's made quite the name for herself as of late, huh," Ameila responded.

"Earlier today, the clients who were meant to meet Odalia Blight today were ambushed and assaulted by Sapphire. After which, she left evidence incriminating them of tax evasion, at which police arrested the four. Authorities are still trying to unveil the identity of this new vigilante, but results have proven for naught."

"If only they knew," Ameila thought to herself.

"Say, Ameila, what do you think of Sapphire," asked Edric. Ameila snapped out of her thoughts and quickly responded, "Uh, I don't really pay attention to the news besides what mom makes me watch, so...I guess she's cool." Amity then said, "She's more than just cool. She's gotta be one of the nicest people in all the Boiling Isles! Hey, remember when she stopped by at Hexside?" The twins nodded their heads ecstatically, while Ameila remembered the event quite fondly.

"Hey, Ameila, imagine if you were Sapphire! That'd be so cool, right?!" "...Yeah. Cool..," said Ameila, knowing full well the dangers and effects the gig came with. Just as she looked down, Ameila noticed a book, clearly written by Emira. "Wait, what's that?" Emira energetically replied, "Our new fanfic: Azura: Sword of Sapphire! It's a crossover, you see." Ameila nodded, and looked at the cover, impressed with the quality of the drawing. "Look, it's been fun, but I should get going. Been a long day." With that, Ameila got up and waved goodbye to her siblings, before heading to her room for a well deserved sleep.

...Or so they thought.
