Ok So About King,,,

So Like the titan has like,,,, a lot of extra bones  on places that’d definitely stick out. And Its very apparent that some of these guys had wings as well 

So Like.....considering these factors, would king look like this if he got old enough?

What we know now

-SPOILERS FOR LATEST OWL HOUSE EPISODE-

so the titans weren't just a singular beast or even one species

They were the indigenous lifeforms of the boiling sea's world

The largest were around millions of years ago and their truly massive corpses can be found decaying in the sea

But they eventually evolved into smaller, but still quite large, beings

They also were sentient and had a unique magic

We can see that with the creation of Jean Luc's kind as caregivers to the baby titans

Eventually humans made it to the world and developed bile sacs

Some revered the titans, as it was their magic that led to witches.

And some chose to hunt titans, seeing them as ravenous monsters. (Which may or may not have been the case we don't know.)

The collector was the most famous of these hunters. Catching all kinds of beasts.

Including the owl beast, whose native habitat was on the other side of the world where the trappers live.

Eventually the collector was trapped under the Boiling Isles bones for crimes we don't know yet.

King's father is probably dead but others of his kind may still be around, just deep in hiding.

The existence of living titans (even just one) will be HUGE on the Boiling Isles.

Hollow Mind was the most traumatic rollercoaster but at least we have funny storyboards for comfort:

I saw some people ( both on twitter and here) comment on the fact this episode felt off in some way.

At first I couldn't put my finger on it but I think I figured it out.

This episode felt liminal.

Like a transition point. It's purpose is bringing us from the fun adventures of the show to end game.

There's 4 more episodes left and then season 3.

We're not getting another raeda backstory episode. We're not getting another fun flyer derby episode. We're not getting exposition on characters like Hunter and King. We are stopping Belos.

The last piece was finding out King is a titan.

Now everything we do from here on out will contribute to the finale directly.

This episode felt off because it's a point you're not supposed to stay in, you're transitioning from a state of being to another. Like the gas station or the hotel you stop at when you go on long trips.

This might as well be our final chill episode where we didn't have the threat of Belos looming in the back of our minds while watching.
