Today's ever so slightly unhinged headcanon is that the Silvan Elves in Greenwood invented and were the first ones to practice Stand Up Comedy. 

They absolutely didn’t do it on purpose, it evolved organically over time among the warriors to help raise their spirits and pass the time. It started with friends telling each other stupid jokes, and then patrols would take turns telling each other funny stories from their lives. Once they started running out of stories, they began to actively think about other ways they could make the others laugh. Practicing and rehearsing idea’s in their heads, trying to get it perfect for whenever it was their turn next.

The longer the war went on, the more the ‘art’ of it evolved and the farther it spread into the rest of Greenwood's population.

Happy Tolkien Reading Day!!

It’s the 25th of March and the theme this year is Travel and Adventure. I’ll be trying to set my fics down for the day and pick up my copy of the Hobbit.

It’s okay if you don’t enjoy reading, have difficulty doing so, can’t access braille books, can’t listen to audiobooks or visit a library. It doesn’t make you any less of a fan.

You said you were a jokester and I thought of either one of the two Merry and Pippin however I reconsidered and realized Kili would be a far more better suiter for you.

Imagine you’re flirting with him in such manner and this goes wither two ways, he first tells you “now isn’t the time” and then proceeds to shooth himself up with a sly flirtatious joke. And it goes in that specific order.

That was the first way, second way is clear tension and anyone can guess where that usually ends up going to.

He’s not the type to fight with his partners as you look at his and Taruiel’s relationship dynamic, however he would seem to tolerate you would tease you about it. You’re only four inches taller than the average Toklien dwarf he could easy wipe you out.

He’s a Durin’s folk you would expect him to be serious but no he’s nothing like his uncle nor his eldest brother.

In fact he’s your typical teenager.

Reckless and likes a good thrill and scare.

You bet he’ll sit and watch horror and thrillers with you, but don’t expect him to not scream from time to time.

He’s the type to definitely be laughing while screaming.

The need for you to take a break from people or not totally socialize wouldn’t bother Kili at all, in fact he really wouldn’t mind. He’s a dwarf nephew of the Mountain King.

Or in Thorin’s words “Sister-Son”. Kili has no time to not socialize, he’s got a title, so naturally he has to socialize with other dwarfs.

Besides having you by his side, being willing to still socialize with his men yet also feeling the need to regain your energy and isolate your mind for a bit will be something he’d appreciate greatly.

Just that thought of you and him just running away from social gatherings would excite him.

He’s not much of a reader but when you guys run away I can see him joking around and being his cheerful and energetic self reading your writings. That’s if you’d let him.

Even still, the moment Kili knows you write, he’ll pester you about it with his natural charming ways.

They are so cute together- I really want them to get close- I am super excited to see whether or not Kyle and Stan grow apart because of this change, not because I hate them together, more just cause I’m curious to see how things would turn out if that was to happen.
