and now I just want to imagine him in every culturally significant or event, front row seats to bullshit he didn’t pay for.

ik that when adapting a manga into an anime it means that things are gonna get cut or moved around to make it more conducive to a television show but i just can't help but feel that i've been missing certain context while watching the first half of tg:re
#not missing as in 'i don't see it' missing as in they cut stuff that really needed to stay to make it make it sense#they've also been doing a thing that always annoys the hell outta me where they show a brief backstory#for a character that JUST DIED in order to be like see they had hopes and dreams too#its like yeah i KNow s1 and s2 spent a lot of time to be like the ghouls might be monsters but they're really not that different to humans#and even the doves are monstrous unto themselves so are the humans any different to the ghouls#i really am enjoying tokyo ghoul s1 and s2 definitely had me hooked but tg:re seems to be reiterating the same stuff but worse lol#i don't have a firm opinion on s3 since i haven't finished it i just hope the characters get a proper arc cause s2 left on a huge cliffhang

Hello.... If you don't mind me asking, who are your favorite romantic relationship's couples in books/ manga/ anime/movies/tv series (can be canon or non-canon)? Feel free if you want to write the reasons or not of why you love them...Thanks if you want to answer....
Thanks for the ask and damn I'm always so excited when it comes to these so ofc I don't mind, also warning I'm about to kinda go off. It's a pretty long list so I'll only talk about the ones that left the biggest impression on me.
Warning for mentions of twincest, incest and age gaps.
Starting off with the ship that indoctrinated me into the bl life style *drumroll*
Draco Malfoy/Harry Potter (aka Drarry); enemies/rivals to lovers, blond x ravenette, they basically set the precedent for every ship I pick up like a stray cat these days.
Bakugou Katsuki/Midoriya Izuku (Bakudeku): Enemies to lovers, plus constantly on each other's mind as a motivation in one way or the other. I love them so much.
Mikage Reo/Nagi Seishiro (NagiReo): one of my current hyperfixations, mainly cuz they're one of the few ships I have that wasn't introduced as rivals from the start as well as being extremely close canonically. They click so well despite their miscommunication (more like no communication but I'll probably get to that another day).
Gojo Saturou/Itadori Yuuji (GoYuu): Most of my blog will you a clue already lol.
Sukuna/Itadori Yuuji (SukuIta): Number one toxic ship rn, but would you believe I prefer their siblings falling in forbidden love trope?
Mikaela Hyakuya/Yuuichiro Hyakuya (MikaYuu): Found family lovers that will give anything for each other? Sign me up.
Tyki Milk/Allen Walker: I walked into the D.gray man fandom late and I will never not regret it, I need more people that at least know who they are (〒﹏〒)
Eren Jeager/Armin Arlet & Eren Jaeger/Levi Ackerman (Eremin & Ereri): Getting these two out of the way at the same time cuz while I think Eren is undeniably his best self a lot with Armin, I love the thought of Levi being there as his inspiration.
Itoshi Rin/Itoshi Sae: Their beef is adorable but they need to fuck.
Roy Mustang/Edward Elric: I love their banter and they've both been through way too much together.
Bruce Wayne/Clark Kent (Superbat): one is batman the other is superman...Need I say more?
Dick Grayson/Tim Drake: I watched Titans and they had me.
Luka/Adrian (Lukachat): I stopped watch Miraculous at like S3 but these two are the only salvageable treasure from that mess to me.
Sherlock Holmes/William James Moriarty (Sherliam): From Moriarty the Patriot not any other adaptations please. There was that one movie tho. I love how they're constantly teasing and trying to outsmart each other like yeah babes, burn that city down to get his attention.
Kageyama Tobio/Hinata Shoyo (Kagehina): I haven't finished Haikyuu S2, spare me.
Kagami Taiga/Kuroko Tetsuya: what's with sports anime and K names, that aside, I don't know but their separation leaves me in tears everytime.
Yukio Okumura/Rin Okumura: Rin cares so much, Yukio stop being a yandere you closeted brocon! I know you!!!
Wei Wuxian/Lan Wangji: I have a thing for broody possessive tops and oblivious bottoms and they were my awakening.
Hideyoshi Nagachika/Ken Kaneki (Hidekane): Receiving Tokyo ghoul spoilers of how things ended kept from finishing the show or starting the manga, what even is the point .·´¯`(>▂<)´¯`·.
Draken/Mikey/Takemichi & Draken/Mikey: DraMiTake is something I'd consume if I find it cuz I read this one precious fic I will forever cherise but DraMikey has way too much angst potential on its own. Tugs my heart to know Draken keeps Mikey grounded.
Baji Keisuke/Chifuyu Matsuno: Kazutora I will never fucking forgive you.
Hanma shuji/Kisaki Tetta: psychotic boyfriends, we love to see it (✿ ♡‿♡)
Reinhard Van Astrea/Natsuki Subaru: They are literally my banner plus he's one of the few people that doesn't give Subaru a hard time (I only watched S1)
Sebastian Michaelis/Ciel Phantomhive: Butler x master, what else do I need to add. I do absolutely adore the thought of Sebastian being cheeky when putting his young master in his place. I also love soft Sebastian, go figure.
Carnegie/Jonathan Sterling: No one remembers Darkside so I won't even dive into it. These two are the reason I'm trying to finish the series right now, book girlies, read Darkside by Tom Becker and come find me please ಥ‿ಥ
Dante/Vergil: It just makes sense ngl.

I was talking to my sister (probably weeks ago) about anime and I realized I always set out to watch the ones everyone loves recently cause DUH but I literally never do. IDC about Naruto, Spy x Family, Kaguya-sama, Komi, Jojo's, JJK, BNHA, AoT, ETC. Only mentioning cause they're the shows with the most fans as of recently. Uhhh I watched a few eps of Tokyo Ghoul, same w/ Soul Eater and Death Note and Noragami (this one I do wanna watch eventually) and BSD. I can't think of any popular others that I haven't watched.
The ones I have watched: OPM (te amo Saitama. remember nothing tho), Haikyuu!! (up to 3rd season maybe, I forgor but I want to remember 💔), KnY (was OK), Wonder Egg Priority (don't remember the end), Yuru Camp (love SoL), HxH (both 1999 AND 2011 in their entireties), Horimiya (NEED to watch S2), Eizouken (silly), Hanako-kun (remember none of it), Kakegurui (both seasons, I watched w/ my sister), MP100 (S1 & 2, probably rewatch b4 S3), CSM (funny. Denji te quiero), Erased (it was good IDC), Kill la Kill (2015 Dante was built different), Yuri on Ice (vamos maricones), Ososan (funny), Owari no Seraph (Yoichi te quiero), Mirai Nikki (it was fun IDC).
LIKE I have watched my fair share of "popular" anime but out of that list I liked ummm lemme count. 7/18. enough to remember anything about them. It's pretty hit & miss to the point I don't even know what to watch anymore 😭 it's been so long since I last finished an anime. SAD.

Like...peak lo-fi hip-hop, and the animation for this anime was fresh, cool and slick, just like the soundtrack. I still listen to it when cooking to help me stay in the kitchen long enough to finish.

This soundtrack SLAPS. This season was the beginning of the end, they were basically animating on vibes, but I loved it. It really helped me focus at work when that beat dropped, and I'm sorry but Glassy Sky is my top tier cooking song. Can go all in with my soprano vocal range lmao.

Okay so the Foot 2 Rue kids having to survive post-apocalypse. About everything is destroyed, most adults are dead. And like, they can take care of themselves, most of them don't have parents/are homeless in the first place. Idk which one is more interesting, if there are only the Port-Marie teams or if the Apocalypse thing happened when the world cup teams are there with them and all they have is that one boat they live on during s3. I kinda like the 2nd option bc that adds a lot of skills and talents, but also that means they have to find a lot more food to make everyone survive. Plus if it's, like, zombie apocalypse, it's safer for them but also easier for the epidemic to spread once one of them is infected. Interesting stuff. And so they grow up, having only themselves, having learned to fight beyond just with a ball lol tho most disagreements are solved with a match, like, might makes right but via street football

cactus - so much, still learning how to decipher all the abbreviations i read in crochet instructions and also a couple different stitches but I think I mostly got the stitches part down. rahhh when i get back to college ill probably learn more about design and marketing. always gotta learn more about drawing, trying to stuff more knowledge about human anatomy into my brain because I know I'm taking it this semester ;-;
jasmine - uhhh not movies per se but i can't rewatch a lot of animes because i need someone else to watch with me ajsjaks my attention span. Can probably never rewatch Tokyo Ghoul bc it made me too sad :((( also never finished s3 bc i was livid the whole time. they just wanted to be happy in their little coffee shop family and they felt guilty for crimes that weren't their own and they felt guilty for their survival and existence and for fighting back against a world that wanted them dead and villainized them and they tried so hard in the end. They tried so hard to be good and to live and be good by human standards. Also there were some characters that I absolutely loved that died a gory death o7 and probably can't handle watching that again :((( it was good though ahhh. s3 was unbearable bc the entire time I was like we don't villainize the lion for eating the zebra :(((
