Drawings of you
Ran Haitani x fem!reader
Summary: you have an art assignment/project and end up drawing Ran and Rindou. Ran takes a liking of you and so do you.
Not proof read!
Words: 1.7k
Tumblr media
You had been assigned a new art project by your lovely art teacher. That assignment was to draw people living in the streets of Tokyo. Your teacher had kept a whole speech of how you should also draw some landscapes while you were at it.
You had chosen roppongi. It was in your list of places that you want to visit. You hadn't been out in the open by yourself or with your friends in a long time.
You had been so into your art studies that you had forgotten to have fun and go out. And now walking through Roppongi you felt at peace. All your school stress was wearing off.
Saturdays were normally spent in your room doing school work, mostly art work but you still had to take other subjects so sometimes you had to spare some time for math. But not today. Today you would have fun with your assignment like it wouldn't be an assignment. Just your own little project to dive deeper into not only your everyday life but others as well.
You seated yourself on a bench that gave you a clear view of the street and some shops at the same time.
You started by taking your sketchbook out from your bag and some of your pens and eraser.
First thing you drew was one of the shops that was closest to you and some messy passerbys.
Your drawings were messy and hurried to capture postures and styles of people hurrying down the street.
Friend groups were really fun to draw and they were mostly slower with their walking.
Some people noticed you drawing them or others but never approached to ask or to look at drawings of themselves.
When you noticed two boys around your age walking down the street. They stopped at a street corner. One of them was tall, taller than his brother or friend. He had braids that were both dark brown and blonde. The aura around them was strong and intimidating even meters away from them. Both of them looked interesting and attractive. They looked like they were art. Art that had taken human form and now you would have the honor to capture it.
You started drawing them both with little more detail than any others you had drawn in the few hours sitting down at the bench. You didn't want to make that drawing messy by any means.
You finished the drawing of them together. You glanced at them to look if they were still there and the shorter boy had left in between your last glance and this one.
You though that it was whatever and now you could draw the taller boy. You hoped you would have enough time to draw him to make details. He was leaning on a wall looking really good and unbothered. His braids were interesting and gave him a unique look.
While you were drawing him you realized that the clothing could most likely be a gang uniform. You had a cold shiver run through your back but it didn't stop you from drawing him. That piece of information didn't make him less attractive. And when you looked up again he was looking at you with a tilted head and smirk. And then he looked beside you.
You had been so into drawing that you hadn't noticed that someone was standing behind you. You turned slightly around and to your surprise the shorter boy was standing behind you not too close but close enough to see your sketchbook.
"Looks good." He complimented your drawings. His glasses had dropped a little more down on his nose while he had been looking at you drawing.
"Ran, come here! She drew us!" He yelled at his brother. You weren't hundred percent sure if they were brothers or friends.
Ran as the one behind you had called him, swung off the wall and walked slowly towards you. He flashed you a smirk while he was crossing the street.
You were so confused and not really registering what the fuck was going on. Those two had not only noticed you but they had come to look at what you were drawing.
Ran wasn't like his brother, he didn't settle for just looking at your drawings behind or next to you. He stopped next to you and took your sketchbook from your lap with quick motion. You yelped from surprise.
"Dude, what the fuck!" You yelled at him. You stuffed your pens and eraser into your pockets before jumping up. And trying to take your sketchbook back.
"You drew me twice, how nice" he hummed while studying it and dodging your attempts to take the book from his hands.
He flipped the pages and looked at all of your drawings. Everything from the beginning to end. "These are good." He complimented your drawings. And gave you the sketchbook back.
"Thank you but you just can't take my sketchbook like that. It's not nice." You poked at his chest while looking at him in his eyes.
"Wanted to see what you were drawing." He said with a cocky tone and eyed his brother most likely communicating with his look.
"That's still rude. You should have asked." Ran was not affected by your complaining.
"What's your name?" He asked and you looked at him with a look that said 'are you sirius right now' but he kept looking at you with that stupid but good looking smirk.
"(Surname) (Name), and you?" You tried to be polite.
"Haitani Ran," he said and turned to his brother. "Rindou." His brother introduced himself. He looked a little bothered to be still there.
"I have to ask why you were drawing us?" He looked a little bit more serious than before. He made you a little nervous with his look.
"It's for my art course assignment." He hummed and his face regained the same look as before.
"Can I have that drawing of us?" He asked more politely and you refused.
"It's for my course work. It's not ready yet. If you want it badly you can have it after it's graded by my teacher." Your answer satisfied him enough.
"In that case, will you give me your number?" He asked and you agreed. You looked at his brother who was side eyeing his brother. "Kakucho has come, I will go and greet him." Rindou mumbled before walking back where he had been with Ran a few minutes ago.
"Wait a second." You told him and took a page that was completely clean and took a pen from your pocket to write the number down.
"+81 xxxxx xxxxx
-(name)"
You ripped the corner where you wrote your number for Ran. You gave it to him and he thanked you before leaving.
"See you around!'
-
For the next few weeks Ran had messaged you on many different occasions. You two had hung out a few times but never for long periods of time. He told you about his life and you listened and in exchange you told him about yours.
He had become somewhat a distraction to you and your work but at the same time he became an inspiration for your art.
You had drawn him on many different occasions. You had drawn him into your History pop quiz paper and had your teacher scold you for it. Some of your friends seemed to notice the new boy in your drawings.
Someone you hadn't talked to before had seen one of those drawings of Ran and had commented something along the lines of you being obsessed with dangerous people.
The day you gave your assignment in the form of a portfolio back to your art teacher was the day you asked Ran to meet you after school. You had made some better versions of some of your drawings. You had made one watercolor painting of him and Rindou and then a colored version of the street view of Roppongi. So you could say that you altered the rules of the project.
You gave him your school's address and time after the art classes to give him the finished piece of him and Rindou.
When you got off the school doors you saw Ran leaning on the open gates waiting for you to arrive. He was not smirking but smiling. He greeted you when you stopped before him.
"How did your day go?" He asked and you were happy to answer.
"I got the best marks from that art project. She complimented how you and Rindou had some attitude and she was very pleased." You wanted to somehow impress Ran but you didn't lie. She tried to get your permission to put it up on the classroom wall or to buy it but you had told her that it was a gift for a friend. She also wanted to show it to the class but you refused because you had learned that Ran and Rindou were known to many but not out of good deeds.
"That sounds really nice. We really did good for your art." He commented and you agreed.
You opened your backpack and took out a binder where you store almost all the art you do for school or at school from the assignments to drawings in your school work.
You took the first one out of the binder and gave it to him. It was a watercolor version of that sketch that you did. A finished piece of art you did of him and his brother. He looked pleased with it but still something bothered him.
"Do you have that individual drawing of me? I would really like to have it." He asked you and you giggled. "I want to keep it to have a memory of you." You told him and he looked surprised by your words.
"You want a memory of me?" He asked. His face melted into a soft look with a tiny smile before his face quickly took his normal expression.
"Yup, I really like having you around." You confessed to him. He looked slightly taken back.
"Come, let's go." Ran was ready to leave but you were surprised to be invited to leave with him.
"Okay!" You agreed without thinking of it more. He started walking off slowly.
You put your art binder back to your backpack and ran to him.
You smiled sweetly next to him while you two walked and talked about your lives.
In the end you two ended up going to a cafe and spending the rest of the day hanging out with each other even though his flip phone was blowing up.
He made time for you and you appreciate it.
You were sure that you wanted to be with Ran more. You knew that you fancy him.

Mouse
Summary: You were an assassin sent to kill him. What happens when your cover is blown?
TW: Non-con, Kidnapping, Stockholm syndrome, Mob Boss Karma
Words: 4k
“Can you handle this task Y/N? If not we will find someone more capable” Lovro asked.
That made my blood boil, as if there’s anyone more capable of killing that bastard than me.
“I can handle it” I say, collecting my gear and walking out with only one goal in mind, Kill Karma Akabane.
I’ve been waiting for a chance to get revenge all these years. It’s only fitting he dies by my hand.
Karma and I grew up together, however we were never friends. He was a self assured asshole who used everyone for his own personal gain. I couldn’t stand him. With both of us being in E-class it was hard to avoid him.
Somehow we always got paired up no matter how many times I asked Koro sensei to not assign him as my partner. Our differences were made apparent every single time he put me on my ass. It was like he was showing me that I was nothing compared to him. I couldn’t even begin to compare. With grades or skill. But besides training he always kept his distance from me. Like he was too good to even be in my presence.
I hated him, but only because I didn’t. He was everything I wanted to be, everything I wanted for myself always ended up falling into his lap somehow.
I Just wanted to prove to him, to everyone, that I was just as good as he was. I never was though. I was a ‘little mouse’ and he was the big bad cat. No matter how hard I trained or studied, I could never reach his level. Well until now.
Now nothing’s going to stop me from completing this mission and proving how much better I am. He wasn’t going to leave me in the dust this time, I'm not going to let him. I can’t wait to see the look on his face when I'm the last thing he sees.
I had already gone shopping and chosen the outfits and accessories I needed to ‘play’ his new secretary. It has been so long there’s no way he’ll recognize me.
He’d forget someone as plain and useless as me and that will be his downfall. Like he said he would, he is now the highest ranked politician in Tokyo, however he is also the leader of the Yakuza which puts bounties on his head. Bounties that I'll soon collect.
I text Lovro and let him know everything’s in place for my first day at his office. It’s going to be hard keeping my cool around him but oh so worth it in the end.
He has a hard time keeping assistants because of his sadistic tendencies. I know them all too well from our time in junior high.
His strength will cause his demise. I walk into the building and fight the urge to puke. It’s huge and luxurious, he doesn’t deserve it, he doesn’t deserve anything.
He’s gotten his power from stepping on others and using them as pawns. I’m going to put an end to it.
I keep my head down as I walk to the elevator, there’s no need to cause unnecessary attention to myself. This is a stealth mission, I have to keep a low profile. Once I reached the elevator I let out a breath I didn’t know I was holding. Here goes everything I've ever worked for.
I press the button to the 50th floor and will myself to calm down. For now I'm just another assistant. I won’t make any moves till I collect intel on the target.
I reach my designated floor and head to your desk. The stand in receptionist eyes me with caution till I introduce myself. A look of sadness crosses her face. She gathers her things from my desk and wishes me luck because ‘i’ll need it’ she says.
She has no idea.
I quickly take my seat and set my things where they belong. I pull out my pen that’s equipped with a wire and set it with the other ones so it doesn’t stand out. I have to memorize his schedule and find the perfect opportunity to strike.
Easy enough right?
I take a look at his appointment book and fuck...this is going to take longer than I thought. He doesn’t have a set schedule, he basically does whatever he wants and everyone else works around him. Hah nothing new there. I place the appointment book back in the drawer and sigh. I don’t want to have to be around him for longer than I need to. I’ll just have to make do with what I have though. Right now Karma was in a meeting so I have a few hours to myself.
I walk over to his office door and wiggle the handle but it’s locked. There’s nothing else for me to really do till he gets back. I sit back down at my desk and go over the plan in my head, I tweak any details that have changed and try to stay optimistic. I just have to get close enough to him so he lets his guard down, even if it’s just for a second, and take my shot.
Easier said than done I suppose. It’s about two hours later when Karma arrives back at the office. He passes me without sparing you a glance as he heads into his office. So far so good, staying under the radar like I'm supposed to. I make sure to get my work done on top of planning how to kill Akabane. The last thing I need is to be fired and lose my chance to end him. It's nearing the end of my shift, the sun has already set and mostly everyone else has gone home for the day. I stand up from my desk and stretch before making my way to Karma’s office. I knock twice before letting myself in.
He’s sitting at his desk scrolling through his phone.
“I was going to head home for the day sir I wanted to make sure there was nothing else you needed.” It pains me to act so submissive for him. He doesn’t look up from his device to answer you.
“There’s nothing else, you’re free to leave” he dismisses me and I nod before taking my leave. If only I could’ve killed him right there.
I’ve been working for him for a week now. Everything has been running smoothly but there still hasn’t been an opening. Somehow I have to get closer to him but I doubt that can happen in a few weeks. I feel like I'm going crazy. I wasn’t cut out for desk work, at all.
Most of Karma’s meetings are private so I can’t attend, when I am allowed to accompany him it’s mostly to political conferences. I do my job, take notes and schedule the next meetings, nothing more nothing less. Karma has barely said 3 words to me since I arrived. It’s perplexing because all of his previous assistants I've interviewed said that he becomes a tyrant after the first day. Maybe his work has picked up and he doesn’t have time? All I know is I'm glad to stay out of the limelight.
It’s nearing the end of my shift again. I was just going to go home without notifying Karma like I’ve done the past few days. I trust if he needs something he’ll ask. I’m gathering my things to go home when I hear his office door open.
“Ah Ms. Blake I'm glad I caught you before you left, could we speak for a moment?” He didn’t give me time to answer before walking back into his office and taking a seat at his desk. I place my bag on my chair and figure I'll come back for it later. I walk in after him, closing the door and taking the seat in front of him.
He doesn’t speak, for a moment he just stares at me. It’s me who breaks the silence first.
“There was something you wanted to speak about sir?” I asked softly. A smirk graced his face as he held his chin in his palms.
“I didn’t think you were stupid enough to take the hit on me Y/N.” My breath hitched at the sound of your real name, how did he know? Do I have a rat? That has to be it.
“E-excuse me?” I say feigning confusion. “Drop the act Y/N, I caught you. I was always the better assassin.” He leered.
“Fuck you Akabane” I say standing up and leaping at him over the desk. Fuck... my other weapons are in my bag I left.
I reach for my hidden knife holstered on my thigh but before I can reach it Karma places a cloth over my mouth. I hold my breath till I become dizzy and he flips me over straddling my legs as he watches me lose consciousness. “I missed you, my little mouse,” he whispers as I close my eyes.
I open my eyes and immediately regret it. My head pounds and my mouth is unbelievably dry. How long have I been out? I sit up slowly wincing as I grab my head. That asshole really chloroformed me. I look around and my heart drops. I’m in a fucking cell... A 6 inch thick clear acrylic wall which leads to a hallway which goes to who knows where is the only exit I see.
The room is bare except for the bed, a small bathroom area with a small shower, and a desk with a chair. There’s no doubt there’s a camera in here somewhere. I’m not in my clothes anymore, instead I'm dressed in gray sweatpants and a matching sweatshirt. That psycho changed me while I was asleep. Fuck... fuck... fuck This is bad, this is really bad. I have to get out. And when I do I'm gonna kill that bastard.
I’m snapped out of my thoughts as I hear footsteps. It’s him.
“Ah so you’re finally awake, good I was beginning to think you would let a little chloroform take you out.” He sneered.
“How long have you kept me here you fucking psycho?” I spat, banging on the glass.
“Now, is that any way to talk to your boss?” He said, smiling eerily.
“When I get out of here I'm gonna make you regret this Akabane.”
“Then I suppose I'm just gonna have to keep you locked in there huh? Little mouse.”
I scream as he walks away, leaving me alone again. ‘Ok Y/N don’t panic, I'm gonna get out of here and wipe that smirk off his face’ I thought. I make my way back over the bed and sit with my knees to my chest laying my head on them. I can’t do anything right now. It felt like someone was stepping on my head and I know I haven’t eaten or drank in days. I’ll have to wait till I gather my strength till I can try and escape. But even if I do, where will I go? I have no clue where I am or how to get out. I have to find a way to get him to let me out of this damn cage. I sob gently as I clutch my knees harder. How did things turn out like this?
I must’ve fallen asleep from crying. I open my eyes and sigh. I’m still here in this hellhole. “I take it you had a nice nap?” Karma says from the other side of the glass. I roll my eyes as I sit up.
“I brought you dinner” he continues, gesturing to the bowl of ramen he’s holding.
“Is it poisoned so I can put myself out of my misery?” you deadpanned. His smile drops into something darker.
“I guess you don’t need to eat if you’re going to say something so horrible, princess.” He says turning to walk away. What is his problem? It’s not like I said I wanted to poison him. My stomach grumbles and I swallow my pride. “W-wait... please don’t go.” I call after him and he halts.
He walks back to the glass and glares at me, tapping his foot like he’s waiting for something. I take a deep breath before I speak. “I’m sorry... for what I said. Please let me eat.” I croaked. That must’ve pleased him because his smile returned.
“Sit on the bed Y/N.” He ordered. Afraid of angering him again I did as asked. He moved to the side of the glass and typed in what I assumed was a code. The glass lifted up like a window would. He walked in and it closed behind him. He sets the bowl on the desk and sets a bottle of water next to it. I look at him, silently asking permission to move and he motions for me to come and sit.
I slowly walk over and pull out the chair, sitting down. I break the chopsticks he brought and slowly begin to eat. I flinch when he moves his hand toward my head. It doesn’t stop him from placing it in my hair and softly petting. I ignore him as I continue eating. I savor the taste of the perfectly cooked noodles and rich broth.
He’s standing behind me now with a hand placed on each of my shoulders rubbing soothing circles.
“It’s still your favorite, right?” He asked. My heartbeat increased as his fingers trail across my collarbone. I silently nod, not trusting my voice to not give away how nervous I am. With my strength diminished it would be significantly easier to kill me right now, I probably couldn’t put up much of a fight. He just hums and continues to explore my form with his hands. I set my chopsticks down as I finish and grab the water bottle. I open it and take a couple sips before I cough lightly.
“Slow down princess.” he says, patting my back. Why is he acting so weird?
“I’m fine.” I say trying to get him to take the hint to stop touching me but he doesn’t. I put down the empty water bottle and stand up, I back away from him and sit back on the bed. I feel a little better now that I’ve eaten.
“I want to leave Karma, let me out.” I say in a stern voice.
“And why would I do that mouse?” He comes to stand in front of me and I scoot back till I reach the wall.
“I’m having so much fun with you here.” He answered.
“You can’t just keep me prisoner, someone will come for me when they realize I'm missing.” I remarked.
“Oh? And is this someone you’re referring to, Lovro?” He asks shrewdly. I open my mouth to say something but decide not to.
“You know Y/N, I couldn’t have gotten you here if it wasn’t for him.” He sighs.
“W-what?” I ask shakily.
“You’re so naive, that’s why I have to protect you from the dangerous world outside.” He grabs my hands and when I try to pull them away I can’t. It feels like I can’t move, my body won’t listen to me. He drugged me...
“What did you give me Akabane?” I’m seething and I hope it shows on my face as I glare at him.
“Don’t look so morose darling, I just needed you to be relaxed.” He sits next to me pulling me on his lap bridal style. I’m trying my hardest to punch, kick, do something, anything. It’s no use, whatever he gave me must’ve been a paralytic of some kind.
Ugh i’m so stupid, how could I let this happen? He holds me so my head is resting on his shoulder with an arm over my legs and the other one is behind me holding my waist.
“I’ve been trying to get Lovro to send you to me for a while. He has been on my payroll ever since I took office.” He brings the hand over my legs to rub my thighs softly.
“You were never cut out for this life Y/N, I needed to protect you, so I finally offered him something he couldn’t turn down.” He whispered and kissed my head.
“He sold you out. All for a place at my table with the Yakuza.” I can’t hold in my tears. I actually thought Lovro cared about me, he was the father I never had. This whole mission was rigged. All I can do is cry against my captor.
“Shhh, it’s ok princess he’ll die for that, but you’re safe with me now. No one’s ever going to hurt you again.” For some reason that made me sob harder.
Sure he was a rat but that didn’t mean I wanted Lovro to die. Everyone has a price, I know that but I guess I didn’t expect this. How long had he known Karma was planning this? Why didn’t he say anything to me? I never even stood a chance against the monster before me.
“You’ll stay here until I can trust you enough to join me in our room upstairs.”
Our room…? This man is crazy. His hands get close to my clothed core and I let out a scared whine.
“I was going to wait till you were settled before I indulged in your presence, but I don’t think I can.” He said, setting me down on the bed and getting on top of me.
“All that time learning about weak spots and mine was you all along.”
“Please... d-don’t.” I hiccup trying to fight with my body to move. I feel his hands trail under my sweatshirt, they feel rough against my skin.
“Don’t worry mouse, I'm gonna make you feel real good yeah? Just sit back and look pretty for me.” His hands come to my hips, tugging down my sweatpants and panties discarding them somewhere in the room. No no no… this can’t be happening.
“Karma wait… I- I’m not-“ He cut me off with a kiss. It was rough and hard to keep up with his pace. He swipes his tongue across my bottom lip and bit down hard. I cry out from the pain and he chuckles lightly, lapping at the blood he drew.
He pushes my thighs apart and situates himself on his stomach between them. I close my eyes trying to imagine being literally anywhere else at this moment.
“All that time in junior high and you were so oblivious… I thought staying away from you was necessary… that if I couldn’t control myself around you you’d end up getting hurt. But now… now I understand you need me to protect you, to look out for you.” I want to scream as I feel his fingers slide inside of me.
“Karma please just… just let me out ok? I’m sorry for trying to kill you but please don’t do this.” I plead.
“Oh baby you are not remotely close to being sorry.” He says curling his fingers and finding my g-spot.
“But you will be when I'm finished.” I gasp as I feel his tongue come down on my clit. Me and my lady parts are about to go to WAR. This shouldn’t feel good… I know it’s the biological response or whatever but still.
“That’s it princess, lose yourself for me.” I try to tune him out but nothing’s working. I clench my teeth trying desperately to hold back my moans.
“I hate you Akabane, and I'll never forgive you for this.” I mutter and he stills. He pulls his digits out of me and brings his hand to my throat.
“Take that back Y/N.” He screams. “Say you don’t mean it.” His voice drops to a whisper as his grip tightens. He almost sounds… hurt? I close my eyes trying to focus on getting as much air in my lungs as possible.
“Okay… have it your way then.” He says before releasing my throat and getting off me. He grabs my clothes from the floor and slides them back on me without a word before he turns to the door. I hear the sounds of the keypad buttons as he types them and I wish I knew the code. When the door shuts behind him and I no longer hear his footsteps as he walks away, I finally give in and let more tears fall. He was willing to go that far… No. I have to stop thinking about it or I’m gonna drive myself insane. I’ve always known he was a monster, he just proved it today.
Despite everything though, why do I feel lonely? Why do I want him to come back to hold me again, to tell me everything’s gonna be ok? It has to be some sort of trauma response right? It’s just my hormones going wild because of this whole situation. Or at least that’s what I tell myself.
When Karma comes the next day he doesn’t speak to me. I try to get him to say something, anything but he doesn’t. He just sets the food and water he brought me on the desk and waits for me to finish eating. This goes on for days until I just can’t take it anymore. “Would you just fucking speak to me? You’re literally holding me captive, it's like the least you could do.” I say.
He ignores me. I step closer to him and try again. “You’re lucky I even want you to talk to me, after everything you’ve done I should be giving you the silent treatment.” I spat.
Still nothing.
“Did I hurt your feelings Akabane? What, me saying I hate you ruined your little fantasy?” I push him against the glass with my hands on his shoulders. “Y/N… I’m warning you.” he says slowly through clenched teeth.
“What are you gonna do this time huh? You gonna drug me again? Go ahead, it's not like I have any dignity left after the first time. You took away my choices, my life, and I… hate… you.” I whisper into his ear.
Before I can stop it he flips me around so my back is to the wall and his hand is around my throat. My eyes go wide and I try to push him off of me but he gathers both my hands in one of his and holds them over my head. His knee pushes between my thighs and I will myself to not move.
“You love me Y/N, say it.” He demanded. “You’re delusional Akabane, I’ll never love you.” His hand moves across my face hard. The motherfucker smacked me.
“I’ll make you love me, I have nothing but time, mouse.” He pushes his knee against my clothed core and a needy moan escapes me. Fuck… I didn’t mean to do that.
“You might not want me but your body is honest with its desires.” He places kisses on my neck as he rubs his knee against my clit.
“Fuck… Fuck you.” I say struggling against him, it only adds to the friction against my clit and I bite my lip stifling a moan.
“That’s the plan, princess.” He says sticking his hand down my pants and feeling my arousal I knew was there.
“Fuck baby… so wet for me already.” He growls and my cheeks heat up. I swear me and my pussy are gonna have a heart to heart cuz what… and I can’t stress this enough… the FUCK?
I continue to struggle against him and he must get impatient because he pulls me with him by my hair. He pushes me so I’m bent over the desk and my hands are behind my back held in his. I squirm as I hear him remove his belt before a ‘fwip’ rings in my ears. I cry out as I feel the belt hit my ass.
“Stay. Still.” He says threateningly as he binds my hands together and tugging on them to make sure they’re tight enough. He moves to pull my sweats down and my breath speeds up as I feel the cold air on my wet core.
“Karma wait please… you’re right ok I love you just please stop, you proved your point already.” I pleaded.
“See, I knew you’d come around mouse, now let me reward you.” He said pulling out his length and rubbing it between my folds. All that comes to mind is I hope he pulls out because he’s not using protection. I open my mouth to express my concerns but fail. I gasp as I feel him enter me at an agonizingly slow pace.
“Fuck… so tight… ‘s like your sucking me in.” He slurs as he bottoms out. I bite my bottom lip trying to hold in my moans. Akabane seems too preoccupied to notice as he pulls all the way out of me before slamming back in. One of his hands finds my hips and the other tangles in my hair before he starts pistoning into me.
“K-karm… nngh fuck… please.” I don’t even know what I’m begging for as I feel his cock hit all the right places.
“That’s it baby...shit… so perfect for me.” He groans as he feels me clench around his length. A hand moves in front of me to rub my clit and I see white as my orgasm hits me.
“Yes… fuck, cum all over my cock, such a good girl.” He praises as he chases his own release. I feel his hips stutter and I try to pull off him.
“Wait Karma, not inside.” I beg but it’s useless as he rams into me and I feel him paint my insides white. Tears start to fall again.
“Shh, it’s ok… you’re all mine. I’ll take care of you.” He whispers and I cry harder as I feel his length harden again inside me.

Gyokko anon here to claim a topical emoji 🏺 and lay down a request (while also generally informing you that you're awesome and to take your time, please). Request specs: an NSFW oneshot where reader is a vase maker who gets so into her work she's completely oblivious to her surroundings, which of course irritates poor narcissistic Gyokko who came out to see who this rival vase artist is. Instead of going the violence route like he did with Haganezuka, he decides to go the sexy route to get her attention because he finds her surprisingly lovely. He pulls out all the stops, maybe even with those aphrodisiacs? Your choice if it works and have the best of days! 😄 - 🏺

The Monster and The Ceramicist [Gyokko X Reader]
Reader is Human Female | NSFW
Recomended Song - Cooler Than Me by Mike Posner
Tumblr media
Any other pottery artist was a fraud, buying clay, using stamps, air drying their work, imperfect edges that are riddled with cracks.
Everyone was a step down from him.
That was why Muzan adored him so much. After all, Gyokko's porcelain was worked in ways no human could, and sold for the highest value in all of Japan. So long as he made enough or they were bid on high enough was all that mattered; until something made a mockery of his work.
Not purposefully, not directly, but he'd notice his were selling for less, and sought out for less. They still came up to extraordinary amounts, but it was starting to pull at his ego.
When his pen name lost the title of number one, it infuriated him! Certainly no other could compare, not to his extravagant patterns and perfect composition-
At least, that was how he felt until he promptly stole one of the new number one's pots.
It was clay, more specifically stoneware, different from the porcelain he worked with. It was heavier, and durability comparable to that of porcelain, but it was also much easier to dry out and crack.
Surprisingly, no matter how long he inspected the exterior or interior of the piece, he found no such imperfections.
Not only that, but he could tell this has not been bought, it was collected by the maker themselves, kneaded, cleaned and refined until it was perfect for working with. It was mostly perfect, aside from one fingerprint left on the inside of the vase, along the ridge before the rim.
"Tch, only amateurs could make a mistake like that." He scoffed, though he'd still gently placed the pot on a shelf in his studio, to motivate him of course, not because he liked it.
Unlike him, he was certain the name you'd used was authentic, and there were articles written about you in town's newspapers, especially in larger cities with more of the wealthy folk, where he was certain some of his pots now sat next to yours in their homes.
That meant it would be easy to find you, since you'd never have expected such an attack.
Or, so he thought. Because as it turns out, you weren't some pompous artist in the most luxurious place you could find in Tokyo city.
Instead you were hidden in the rural areas of Tokyo prefecture, by the river passing Mt. Odake, the small quaint village of Hinohara. It was unexpected to say the least, considering how small the village was. But he understood you likely went by the river bank to find the rich clay you used, which Tokyo city wouldn't have much of.
Moving only at night was easy, considering the lack of a night life most people in rural areas had. There was only one ceramist sign of all the shops along the river, and it led him to a small minka hidden above the steep edge of a road, shrouded in trees and bush that almost concealed it, had it not been for the warm glow of the lights from within.
You were up later than most who had long gone to bed, with a few windows slid open, along with two doors that led to a small covered patio of sorts. It was facing the road and down the mountain to the stream.
Had it not been for the spinning wheel in front of you, you'd have been gazing out at the beautiful view of extending mountain ranges and glittering skies.
Fortunately for him, your undivided attention on the craft at hand allowed him to hide in plain sight, amongst the many of your pots was his own, which he peeked carefully from the edge of.
At the moment, the only sounds were of you humming quietly to yourself, the bamboo chimes hanging from the roof of the porch, and the white noise that was the wheel slowly turning, grinding into slit that had likely fallen between the cracks of the contraption. It was a moment of peace, which he watched you work in contemplation.
His pot stood out from yours, so he was certain you would spot him the moment you took a break from your work. It was just a waiting game, because what fun would it be for him to jump out and kill you just like that?
Your death wouldn't be a waste, at the very least you deserved an exquisite demise.
Except, you seemed very, very enticed in your craft.
He watched you pull the clay till it thinned and collapsed.
Saw your slip-dried hands slice the piece in half with a thread the moment it was lopsided.
And rebuild the same structure over, and over, and over, until several hours had passed and the break of dawn was only an hour or two from rising.
His captivation melted his patience with time, until he finally had enough of hiding, opting instead to roll out in front of you and slam his hands into the wooden floor, resulting in a large banging noise.
"I don't get it! What are you destroying these pots for! It's been hours, hours of me waiting for you to finish! How hard could it be to make one-"
"Shhh...." You raised a finger to your lips, carefully raising your foot from the pedal so the wheel could slow as you worked delicately, only glancing up at him once, "I'm working."
For an entire moment, the demon slouched, defeated by your reply. You had looked at him, seen his form, yet you paid no mind.
His frustration was reaching a boiling point when he noticed you were entirely ignoring him, was this stupid craft really that important to you? More than your life? More than being stalked by a monster?
He tried waving his claws hand before you, but the only response was an annoyed scoff, followed by your shifting to get a view where his arm wasn't.
As upset as he was, as much as he had intended to slaughter you to reclaim his title, Gyokko was holding himself back from crushing you into a bloody slurry.
Because… because...?
It surely wasn't that he admired your concentration to a point of deep envy, no, and it wasn't that he found you as beautiful as your handiwork, that'd be stupid.
It had to be him being so kind, so generous, that he wanted to best you naturally, to watch you fall behind him in skill, to prove he was not only a talented killer, but the perfect ceramist.
Even then, he had to do something to help his shattering ego, and he was running out of both time and ideas.
"Don't you know how rude it is to ignore others? You ought to learn some manners..." He mostly spoke to himself, considering his voice lay a low whisper, but his actions were anything but personal.
Whether you realised it or not, the being returned to his pot in order to shed his skin, slithering out with a new body just out of your peripheral vision. The gleam of his scales seem to catch your eyes, because he noticed you pause for the first time.
"Oh? Are you interested now?" Though you'd finally given him even the slightest of attention he craved, it wasn't enough to react to the now looming shadow behind you.
Webbed fingers wrapped around your torso, squishing his toned chest into your back, easily felt through the fabric of your top. His talons were sharp enough that the slightest drag cut through the cloth, leaving a hole for your chest to spill out of.
Be it out of stupidity, ignorance, or concentration, you snapped your focus back onto your potter's wheel, though he felt your arms had tensed, making it harder for you to work the material.
Gyokko wouldn't give up so soon, if you wanted to play this idiotic game, he would happily win.
The thin slime along his hand was cold when it met the exposure of your chest, pinching at your nipple with the flat of his finger, making sure his claws didn't get too familiar with your sensitive skin. The webbing allowed a more encompassing grab, which you seemed to enjoy judging by the sharp inhale you let out anytime he squeezed his hand.
Despite that, you kept going, and so did he.
While the clay slip on your palms dried out, his free hand slithered between your parted legs, using a nice level of force to press against your clit through the thicker fabric of your canvas bottoms. His hands were so large, big enough to keep you from closing your legs, had the wheel not already been keeping them apart.
A devious chuckle teased from each of his mouths, dancing a hot breath into your neck, which his face had shoved itself into in order to trail green lipstick marks along your sweet skin.
He was quick enough with his claws that you hadn't noticed them cut through your pants, only feeling the same cold sensation on your chest now pressing into your folds.
It was then that your hands stopped, one grabbing onto his wrist and the other hesitating just beside your pot.
His skin was all scales, which stretched under your grip. They were much harder, though, as you'd been completely unable to move his wrist.
Finally pleased that his performance was heeding results, the upper moon pushed two fingers oozing with a blue opaque substance, coating your inner walls with it by stretching his fingers throughout. It was slippery, and let him pump his fingers comfortably into your tight hole.
"That's it, finally paying attention, are we?" As happy as he was, Gyokko didn't just want to stop you for a moment, no, he wanted to leave you unable to continue for enough time to give him a head start on his next project.
Fortunately for him, he'd given you a double dose of yohimbine, an aphrodisiac that would certainly increase your blood flow, but would also act as a nice relaxant.
The girth of his two fingers were nothing like his true size, which is what made your choked moans so adorable.
"You can't take it? Aren't you supposed to be creative? Make it work~!" He teased your nature, sliding his thumb against your clit with the same substance, though this one had slight warming properties, leaving your clit pulsing beneath his teasing touch.
The mix of his cool skin to the warmth of his aphrodisiac was confusing, leaving you in nothing but a daze as he continued feeling you up.
It's as if the gods themselves had sculpted your body, every curve, dip, bump, it was all memorised by his other hand while he took in the scent of your hair, skin, and sex, which was intoxicating to the demon.
He wanted to plunge his face between your thighs, to mark you up and down, but he had restraint- for now.
Finally you seemed to lose interest in the pot, your other hand reaching back to hold onto the back of his neck with your back arched, which he happily pushed into so you couldn't unto your position, pulled back into his lap and away from the pottery wheel or stool.
"Doesn't that feel so good? I know, it must feel amazing being worshipped by me." As cocky as he was, his cheeks were still pink when your head nodded rapidly, rutting your hips into the thrusts of his fingers.
He happily obliged with your needs, meeting an inhuman pace to satiate your slutty needs. His free hand finally rose to your face, roughly squishing your cheeks to shove two fingers in your mouth and forcing your head back to stare at the ceiling.
Saliva dripped from your mouth, coating said fingers and leaving your moans strangled. It was effective enough to keep you silent when you came to a shattering orgasm, body convulsing into his.
But he didn't stop, no, he still had himself to take care of, though the rest of the night was nothing but a blur into darkness.
...Since then, Gyokko hasn't visited, allowing you to recover. Much to his plans, you had no recent work hitting the market until almost a month later, when you released something different from usual.
It was a thin, tall post with two handles, and on each side was the imprint of two webbed and taloned hand marks, indenting each side so it almost looked like they were grabbing at a pair of hips.
Not for sale, titled "The monster and the ceramicist."

The beginner's guide to the Pretty Series
With the recent announcement of the new Pretty Series installment titled Himitsu no AiPri, it's about time the Pretty Series returned after over a year since the Waccha PriMagi! series finale. In celebration of the newest installment, let's take a quick history lesson about the Pretty series.
Tumblr media
The Pretty Rhythm Saga (2010-2014) - The Pretty Series saga began on July 15, 2010 with the arcade game titled Pretty Rhythm Mini Skirt. Made by Takara Tomy and developer SynSophia, this arcade game pits players in the role of Prism Stars, performing Prism Jumps, and collecting Prism Stones.
While the one that started it all made a slow start, the folks from Takara Tomy wanted to do more with the Pretty Rhythm saga, and with that, a TV anime titled Pretty Rhythm Aurora Dream was made. Aired in TV Tokyo on April 9, 2011, for 51 episodes, this anime is the fruit of Japan-Korea collaboration thanks to Japan's Tatsunoko Production and South Korea's Dong Woo Animation. The TV anime is all about Aira, Rizumu, and Mion in their quest to take on the prestigious Prism Queen Cup.
As Aira Harune's journey to become Prism Queen is completed, Mia Ageha takes the baton as the star of the next Pretty Rhythm story; Dear My Future. Aired in TV Tokyo on April 7, 2012, for 51 episodes, Dear My Future centers on the rivalry between Prizmmy☆ and the K-Pop group PURETTY. Believe it or not, there are real-life versions of the groups as seen in the anime. There's even a live-action segment featuring Prizmmy☆ as well.
As Mia Ageha's road to Grateful Symphonia is well and truly over, Naru Ayase steps to the spotlight in the third and final chapter of the Pretty Rhythm saga, titled Rainbow Live. Aired in TV Tokyo on April 6, 2013, it features an original storyline unlike the previous two. It's about Naru, An, and Ito, who are working together at the Prism Stone Shop while trying to take good care of a mysterious girl named Rinne.
Although the Pretty Rhythm saga ended, the story continues with the KING OF PRISM spinoff films featuring male characters from the Pretty Rhythm saga. They even got a 2019 anime show as well showcasing the rise of the boys who would be Septentrion.
The PriPara saga (2014-2018, 2021~) After the end of the Pretty Rhythm saga,  the folks of Takara Tomy prepped up what it seems to be the second generation of the Pretty series. It's called PriPara and it aired on TV Tokyo in the Summer of 2014 and lasted for three seasons, four if you count Idol Time PriPara of course. This anime series centers on the life and times of Laala Manaka, a little girl who wants to be the best PriPara idol. Together with Mirei Minami and Sophy Hojo, they became SoLaMi Smile and they fought their way against the best idol teams of PriPara, especially Dressing Pafe consisting of Dorothy, Reona, and Sion, Tricolore, and Gaarmageddon, among many others. PriPara is a huge win for the people behind it and such success prompted the show to spawn four movies and outrageous merchandising rights.
In the spring of 2017, the next chapter of PriPara begins with three new main characters penning the final pages of this saga. Titled Idol Time PriPara, it's all about Yui Yumekawa, whose fateful encounter with Laala Manaka changed everything following an accident. With Nino Nijiiro and Michiru Kouda joining alongside, the MY☆DREAM trio made the best closure to this saga.
Although the PriPara TV series is finished, the story continues with Idol Land PriPara. First announced in December 2020, it was originally slated to be released in the spring of 2021 until it became subject to long gestation and delayed launch dates. It was released on August 17, 2023. It is the second official PriPara app game after the defunct PriPuz puzzle app game. This app game also features an original anime series set moments after the events of Idol Time PriPara. It introduces new characters such as Amari Katasumi, Mario, and Pololo, among others.
The Kiratto PriChan years (2018-2021) - Aired in TV Tokyo since April 2018 for three seasons, Kiratto PriChan is set in a world where fame comes from social media just like in the real world. It's about a group of girls who called themselves the Miracle☆Kiratts who are striving to become the best PriChan idols above the rest. For three seasons, we watched Miracle Kiratts taking on big challenges such as heated competition with rival teams such as Meltic StAr and Ring Marry, the jewel idol competition, saving the world, the road to the Queens Grand Prix, and saving the world...again, while they do what they do best; showcasing the world that they're the best PriChan sensations ever known.
PriMagi (2021-2022) - Waccha PriMagi! is the fourth installment of the Pretty Series that revolves around the lives of Primagistas striving to become the best of the best. The show is about Matsuri Hibino, a middle-schooler who dreams of being the best just like her idol, the legendary Jennifer Sumire Sol.
AiPri - After over a year of void, the Pretty Series has returned with the newest installment coming to TV Tokyo this April 2024. Titled Himitsu no AiPri, the new series stars Minori Fujidera as Himari Aozora and Sae Hiratsuka as Mitsuki Hoshikawa. For the first time in Pretty Series, the animation sequences were provided by OLM, the studio behind the Pokemon and Yo-Kai Watch anime series, while South Korea's Dongwoo A&E returned to cooperate for it.
Tumblr media
Welcome back, Pretty Series! The world can't wait for the franchise's comeback show this April.

GYARU!! (Various!Tokyo Revengers X Gyaru!Reader) Pt. 1
warnings! - this story may contain manga spoilers, mature content, and sensitive themes such as r^p€, su/c¡d€, death, identity issues, toxic relationships (romantic & platonic), and others. the reader is mostly addressed with fem pronouns and is portrayed as black/mixed (Black & Japanese) although it may not be heavily implied or explicitly stated.
Hoshino (Y/N) is a laidback, yet well-mannered girl who has little to no aspirations in life besides shopping, the newest trends, and having fun. Because of how she expresses herself she is what many people call a Gyaru. (This story is also available on Quotev and Wattpad!)
Next Chapter
Tumblr media
Third Person POV -
The day started like every other.
School alarm goes off, get up, get dressed, eat breakfast, and go to school. Or at least that was the simplified version.
Hoshino Y/N's mornings were anything but simple. She prioritized her appearance over anything, and no matter the day she was always dressed to impress. Face lightly beat, mascara applied, with a final touch of lip liner and lip gloss.
After all, there was no telling when her future significant other or an agent would appear. She had to be prepared, always ready for the unexpected. 'Should I wear my red pleated skirt or my blue one..both are super cute but which am I feeling more??'
Things such as picking whether to wear thigh highs or leg warmers were the most of the girl's problems.
Although contrary to popular belief the girl didn't have a certain someone to impress but she could always impress the masses.
"Mom, what's for breakfast!??" The girl yelled down the stairs as she struggled with her tie. The girls' mother quickly replied "Eggs on rice, hurry down or you'll be late. I'm not dropping you off if you miss the subway!" Finally fastening her tie the girl decided to look herself over one last time.
The girl's outfit consisted of a short-sleeved uniform shirt with a striped red tie, she also wore a red pleated skirt and white leg warmers. The girls' hair was also decorated in numerous colored barrettes and star-shaped clips. And finally, despite it being summer she wore a pink hoodie wrapped around her waist.
The more time that passed the closer it became to summer break. A time when she could go shopping all day and go to karaoke by night while getting hit on by some weirdos, who would offer to buy her and her friends, snacks or drinks.
After deeming her appearance acceptable she rushed down the stairs to eat breakfast. In the kitchen, her mother, Hoshino Satsuki, stood over the sink washing dishes. Meanwhile, the girl's older sister, Hoshino Manami, sat at the table enjoying her breakfast as she aimlessly scrolled through her phone. Once the girl took a seat at the table she thanked her mother before digging into her meal.
Between her bites she decided to ask "Manami what are you doing here, don't you have school?" The older girl sighed before responding, "I'm only here cause I was bored and wanted breakfast."
The woman washing dishes sucked her teeth causing the youngest girl to snicker. Before Y/N could continue her meal her gaze fell to the stove which read, 8:00 AM. "You should get going Y/N.." the girls' mother prompted.
In response, Y/N finished the last of her food before handing her plate to her mother. In exchange, the older woman gave the girl her bento. Y/N quickly thanked her mother again before rushing to put on her shoes. Like the girl's hair accessories, her shoes were covered in multi-colored pen doodles.
Before exiting the house the girl briefly checked off her necessities in her head. And once she was positive she had everything, she bid goodbye to her family before jogging off to Harajuku Station.
Harajuku was a district bursting with style and trendy hot spots. The streets were filled with an array of different stores, restaurants, and boutiques. However, Y/N found the people the most interesting, because most of them expressed themselves through their fashion. It wouldn't be long before she could fully parade around without being dress coded.
As the girl jogged to the station she placed in her earbuds and began playing her favorite band, 'LILITH GIRL'. The jog to the station wasn't long and was sort of serene. Sometimes when the girl had extra time she would worship her local shrine before heading to school. However, today wasn't one of those days.
After finally reaching the station the girl scanned her subway pass before rushing to the Shibuya platform. As she approached the platform she noticed that the subway had also arrived. As the doors to the subway opened the girl and multiple other people flooded in. However, due to the number of people riding the subway, the girl decided to stand and lean on one of the poles.
To pass the time the girl decided to scroll through her phone. However, it wasn't long before she arrived in Shibuya. As the subway doors opened Y/N quickly drifted out following the crowd of students, workers, and citizens before exiting Shibuya station.
Living on the border where Harajuku and Shibuya meet had its perks. However, her school wasn't one of them. Mizo Middle School sadly wasn't particularly entertaining or significant in her opinion. She would have preferred to attend a school in Harajuku but finances stated otherwise. As Y/N followed her typical route she became more and more surrounded by students. Passing the gate the girl traveled into the school before heading towards her shoe locker.
Although the girl would have preferred to keep on her regular shoes it was school policy and she already knew the results of those actions.
Once the girls' shoes were changed she walked up the stairs leading to the second floor before approaching classroom 3. However, before she could enter her name was called. When she looked over she noticed her group of friends hanging out by a window.
The group consisted of Imai Nozomi, a copper-headed girl with short hair who had a quirk for lying.
Saito Akane, a girl with dark brown hair, a red skunk stripe, and a ponytail, renowned for her temper issues.
And Kaneko Chitose, a long-haired ravenette with a hime-cut who loved gossip and drama.
First Person POV -
"What are we invisible?" Nozomi stated grumpily as I approached them. Akane and Chitose laughed in response to the question. "You guys are anything but invisible, Nozomi. Did anything interesting happen over the weekend?" I asked as I placed my earbuds in my bag.
Chitose was quick to respond, "Nothing to die for but I heard the Soccer club is having a mixer this weekend."
"No way am I going to that, half of them aren't even that cute," Akane stated as she adjusted her hair. Nozomi nodded her head in agreement before adding "I had a fling with their captain about two months ago, he ended up asking me out but I shot him down."
This piqued my interest. "Ya' know you always talk about getting asked out but you never mention going out with them??" I questioned. "Well, ponder no longer because I currently have a boyfriend," Nozomi answered proudly.
This was a surprise to the rest of us but before we could question her further, she continued. "His name's Kiyomasa, he's also a second-year and he's super tall." She boasted. "How tall we talking?" Akane questioned in disbelief. "6'0 ft" Nozomi responded with a smirk.
Chitose and I let out an exaggerated "Wooow" as Akane whistled in response.
However, before we could continue questioning the copper-headed girl, the bell rang prompting us to go to class. We swiftly said our "laters" before separating and going into our classrooms.
Once I was seated it didn't take long for the teacher, Ms. Kubo, to enter. And as soon as she was settled she began taking attendance starting from the letter "A". I decided to use this time to take out any needed supplies. "Hangaki?" a boy with blonde hair anxiously responded to the teacher's call. I stacked my erasers as I waited for her to get to my surname. "Masashi?" To which another boy replied.
She then moved on, "Hoshino?", I briefly responded. After marking me as present Ms. Kubo directed her gaze over to me before stating "Out of uniform again, I see."
I smirked and briefly laughed before responding "Yes, Ms. Kubo." My classmates quietly giggled at the interaction.
A day like every other.
☆ During Y/N's first year, she was dress coded over 20 times in the first semester. Of course, administration tried to contact/urge Mrs. Hoshino to correct her child but she ignored them.

I’m Not Coming Home || Gojo x Reader
very short and lazy angst that i wrote within 10 minutes and without any proofreading !
Summary: reader dying LOL
(slight mentions of shoko)
Tumblr media
The silence was deafening. It wasn’t any ordinary silence; it was mine.
I fell down, feeling the ground on my back. I couldn’t hear or feel anything— not even the agony in his screaming. Satoru held me in his arms, burrowing his face in my shoulder. His usual boyish and innocent grin disappeared.
All I could remember was the curse charging at me with full strength, eyes filled with a fury that I’d never forget.
“ You promised to come home— together, with me, “ he choked. White hair tickling my lips before my hands grew colder. His mouth opens and closes, as if he’s speaking to me. He looks like a mime, imitating false words and promises.
“ ….. “
“ Please— darling, please! You know that I can’t do this without you— what about all of the plans that we’ve made, “ he continued, debating whether I would truly die or not.
We thought about growing old and running a small candy shop together— you know, like some sweet elderly couple! Maybe a comforting, wooden shop in the middle of Tokyo, selling all types of traditional sweets. It would be nice to live as a civilian: no worries, no curses, no nothing. Satoru’s grip tightened with tears falling on his cheek.
“ I love you— I’ll always do. You know that, right? “
Some time later, the sorcerer was spotted exiting the morgue. He could no longer stomach in the sight of his dead wife. When Shoko realized who he had brought in, she let out a series of wails before exiting the room. The doctor wanted to point all of her fingers at the sorcerer.
Sitting on the desk, she took a pen and paper, writing every detail. Blue ink was smeared everywhere: her hands, paper, and desk. Today was the day that she decided to write with blood on her hands. Signing the last page, she silently prayed that you’d be in peace, somewhere— anywhere! You were there for her when Suguru left— now you were here, leaving her and Satoru behind.
Satoru was selfish, even more selfish with you. He came home that day with an empty living room, dinner table, and bed. The sight of a bloodied, lifeless (Y/N) burned his eyes. He should’ve been more selfish with you. Selfish enough to keep you away from the world of sorcery.
(alternate angst ending here)

Tattoo artist Raichi who is as diligent about his work as he is feral. Taking extra care to prep the skin for the ink. He gives instructions on care but never explains them as he scoffs out a
"Ya can read cantchya?"
Until one day a pretty girl like you walks into the shop. Wanting anything they could give you at all since, for you tattoos were a form of therapy. The pain felt nice and the smell of think only ever elevates the experience so after a nasty set back making you feel entirely out of control of your life a tattoo is exactly what you need. Your most recent failure confirms your belief that you didn't belong in your home town and it definitely confirmed that you didn't belong in the big city of Tokyo either.
Maybe moving here and staring anew was a big mistake.
Still your adventurous heart wasn't totally set on giving up just get despite your nihilistic brain forcing you to pack half of your apartment in preparation to move yet again. You figured you'd do what you always did before you'd flea a city or town.
You'd get a tattoo as a reminder to never go back.
It didn't matter what it was or where you got it. Sometimes you had the exact idea of what you wanted, a sunset set in monotone or the numbers to the address you stayed and hell sometimes it was just a random piece off of their cheap flash sale event. So walking to the closest shop was a no brainer to you, even if you didn't know they specialized in a variety of genres.
Browsing the portfolio books on the table as the receptionist slowly plucked the keyboard to enter you in. Nothing really stood out to you and neither did the names.
A straight, neat Iemon in strict letters. Followed by other names that come and go with each color of portfolio until you come across the leather bound book hiding at the bottom. The pen pressed so harshly into the front of the cover it left a deep groove as the writer must have gone over it once or twice to be visible against the light brown binding.
Mine.
In a rough yet legible font. With no indication of who "Mine" was.
"Oh you didn't pick an artist. The spot was left blank. Did you find someone you like?" The heavily pierced and tattooed woman asks in her song bird voice.
A smile spreads on your face, nails tapping the leather portfolio as you happily announce.
"Whoever Mine is." She gives a confused look before she spies the book, giving a giggle as she must type his real name before guiding you to the back.
Handing you off to a gruff looking blonde who scowls and groans when the receptionist gently taps at his shoulder.
"What is it Chigiri, can't ya see I'm busy damnit!" He quickly snaps out of his slouch and his spine cracks with the sudden movement. Throat and arms heavily covered in all sorts of swirling ink.
"Client wants you." Is all Chigiri says before returning to the front of the shop.
"So whaddya want?" He pushes himself away from his little desk to come to his work bench. Methodologically getting the small unopened ink pots and unwrapping the sterilized pieces for his tattoo gun.
"Whatever, I just want your natural handwriting." You chirp, settling into the chair as his thick hands quickly assemble his craft.
It truly didn't matter what he wrote, obviously no slurs of course but you didn't care if he spelled out fuck you across any of the available spots on your body, "Doesn't matter where either."
He gives a sneer and it shows off his sharp teeth, modded most likely. Filed until each one was brought to a razor sharp point.
It makes you smile, looking at his thick and dark lashing contrasting to his blonde. You liked that he knew exactly who he was, so confident in himself he didn't even feel the need to write out his name on anything.
His amber eyes rove over you slowly. You've had work done and quite a bit. Never loyal to one artist although that was a dying thing of a traditional and gatekeeping past. He liked patchwork tattoos, at least the aesthetic of them, they weren't necessarily his favorite pieces but some people could pull them off.
And damn if you couldn't pull them off.
Arms covered in all sorts of things, some work he recognized from other countries and some he didn't. He notices your exposed collar bones under the scoop of your tank top and suddenly he has to swallow thickly. His mind taking him down a stupid and unprofessional road as he thinks about sinking his teeth deep into your pretty skin until red washed over all the black ink beneath it.
Quickly, he realizes what he wants to set in permanent ink into your subdermal.
"Ya sure sweetheart?" He asks, picking your collar bone as he gently takes the one blade razor to shave any baby hairs, "I can do anything?"
"Anything." You affirm, as he swipes away the last of the alcohol to clean your skin before he pats the area dry, "As long as its in your real hand writing. I don't care."
His messy chaotic kanji reminded you so much of how life really was. Demanding order in a world made with endless and uncontrollable vatiables.
He skips the stencil, no need for it since he could easily free hand what he wanted to write. It was something he'd written thousands of times in his life, probably more times than his own name as he starts up the gun. Dipping the needles into the ink before he pulls your skin taunt and presses into you. The smell of ink hits your nose and you deeply inhale as if it were some kind of drug, the loud hum of his tattoo gun putting you in a trance.
You expect it to be more painful, rough, but his skill shows in how he doesn't press too deeply. Making sure his lines will last where some of the more novice artists on your skin lines have long since blown out and warped.
The more he works the more he smiles to himself. A feral grin as he squeezes it into the tight spot between other great works. Going over it once or twice to give it the true effect of his penmanship.
"Sat so still." He says as he wipes away a bit of the blood, hands safely encased in black gloves. Satisfied with his work he slams his vans into the foot pedal and his gun dies in his hands. Setting it down before he gets to cleaning the spot and adding the solution before he wipes at your skin again.
"Ready to see it?" Smile spread wide over his lips before he looks up at you, "Just remember you said anything, sweetheart."
You nod more than excited as he brings you a broken hand mirror, the glass jagged in the old black frame but you could still read what he wrote, clear as crystal, although a tad swollen from the irritation.
In kanji your collar bone now reads
Mine.
And for a moment it feels nice to belong.

Review of Yoshihiro Togashi Exhibition -PUZZLE-
I would like to make a summary of Togashi's Exhibition that is currently taking place at the Mori Arts Center Gallery located on the 52nd floor of Roppongi Hills Mori Tower, in Tokyo, from October 28, 2022 to January 9, 2023. After that, it will head to Osaka in Summer 2023 and to Fukuoka from Autumn 2023 to Winter 2024.
Since photos are not allowed in the venue, I will be using photos from the press and from the official catalog to illustrate my review. I focused more on the Yu Yu Hakusho Area.
The press had access to the exhibition one day before the official opening to the public. Even though photos are forbidden, you can buy the exhibition catalog at the official store. It contains the manuscripts, storyboards, original illustrations, and other exclusive materials displayed at Puzzle.
If you type "富樫義博展" (Yoshihiro Togashi Exhibition) on YouTube, you will also find good coverage from the media that will provide you with a general view of the place.
youtube
Before entering the exhibition, you can rent for 700 yen a 30-min audio guide voiced by the comedian Bakarhythm and voice actor Daisuke Namikawa (Hisoka and Prince Baka VA).
Tumblr media
Bakarhythm is the navigator, and Daisuke is the commentary narrator. The guide includes a quiz, if you solve it correctly, you will hear a message from Hisoka.
The Exhibition consists of more than 350 original drawings distributed in 6 different spaces, plus an official shop.

Area 01. Yu Yu Hakusho
Area 02. Level E
Area 03. HunterxHunter
Area 04. World of Strange Creatures
Area 05. Yoshihiro Togashi
Shop
This little map that comes with the audio guide may help you visualize the exhibition layout. The numbers 1 to 14 are also the spots where you can hear Bakarhythm or Daisuke Namikawa talk.
Tumblr media
The areas have information panels with explanatory text and english translation. As english is not available in the official catalog, I tried to take notes and copy some of the explanations.
"Prologue"
This space is basically a hallway to welcome the visitors. It introduces the author and the concept of the exhibition: "Puzzle". Several characters from all his works are displayed as puzzle pieces in the walls and hanging from the ceiling, inviting everyone to join the wonderful world of Yoshihiro Togashi.
Tumblr media
As soon as you enter the Prologue area, there is a black panel with a greeting from the organizers and Togashi's basic profile:
Profile
Yoshihiro Togashi was born in Shinjo, Yamagata in 1966. In 1987, his one-shot story Tonda Birthday Present was published in the Weekly Shounen Jump Special Edition Winter Special. In 1989, he made his debut as a serial manga artist with Ten de Showaru Cupid, which was published in Weekly Shounen Jump. Following the huge success of his second series, Yu Yu Hakusho (1990-1994), he became one of Weekly Shounen Jump's leading manga artists and went on to publish Level E (1995-1996) and HunterxHunter (1998-present) in Weekly Shounen Jump. Fans of all ages praises his captivating, skillful artwork.
There's also a handwritten greeting from the author himself. Photos are not allowed, but luckily, his greeting is included in the official catalog (scan by: @Vishkujo)
Greeting
Tumblr media
Expression of Gratitude I would like to sincerely thank you for visiting the Yoshihiro Togashi Exhibition -PUZZLE-. I hope everyone enjoys the various displays and information that are only available here. My progress is slow due to health reasons, but I intend to continue leaving new footprints.
Next to his dog avatar, there's a haiku poetry. I tried to follow the haiku syllable rule of 5-7-5 for each line.
Tip of my dip pen When it severs the sound is like That of my lower back - Yoshihiro Togashi
And next to Togashi's hips, there's the onomatopoeia "guki" (グキッ), which is the cracking sound of the joints. *crack*
Still in the "Prologue", right before reaching the YYH area, there's an explanation about the "Exhibition Concept".
Tumblr media
Togashi's works stand out in terms of "character," "setting," "depiction," and "story," all important elements in the creation of a manga. So, in order to gain a deeper understand of the charm of his series (YYH, Level E and HxH), the exhibition is focused on these 4 points:
Character
Story
Setting
Depiction
Each series also has a fifth point called "special piece", a singularity that is particular to each one. I'll talk more about them later, but they are called:
Yu Yu Hakusho: Punch Line
Level E: An Unexpected Development
Hunter x Hunter: Nen
The handwritten manuscripts are undoubtedly a piece of the puzzle that Togashi-sensei continues to create. The idea is that you appreciate all the precious original drawings, while having in mind the five points and the thought process that goes into the completion of each piece.
After you leave the "Prologue", you will arrive at Area 01 dedicated to "Yu Yu Hakusho".
The 3 main areas "Yu Yu Hakusho", "Level E" and "HxH" begin with general information, including: serialization period in the Weekly Shounen Jump, number of chapters, copies sold, and Togashi's first comment in the Table of Contents.
Area 01. "Yu Yu Hakusho"
Tumblr media
Serialization Period: November 20, 1990 (Weekly Shounen Jump 51, 1990) to July 12, 1994 (Weekly Shounen Jump32, 1994). 175 chapters in total.
Series cumulative circulation (including digital editions): more than 50 million (as of September 2022)
Comment at the start of the series: "I went back to the basics and started drawing. I aim to create a story that I myself am satisfied with. I'm hoping for you support." (Yoshihiro)
If you are interested in Togashi's comments from all the 175 chapters, please have a look on my translations: Togashi’s Comments from the Table of Contents (1990-1994)
As introduced in the Prologue, Yu Yu Hakusho is explained and detailed in four topics: Character, Setting, Story and Depiction.
There is also an Introduction section that shows a synopsis of YYH, some colored manuscripts, the cover of the WSJ#51 1990, and an explanation about the production background and how Togashi came up with the name "Yu Yu Hakusho". Actually, it's the same explanation found in the volume 6 of HxH, end of chapter 46.
Synopsis "One day, a delinquent junior high school student named Yusuke Urameshi dies saving a child from a traffic accident. It was an unplanned event in the Spirit World. The Spirit World gives Yusuke a test, and after he passes it, they bring him back to life as a special exception. Then, after becoming a Spirit Detective by order of Great King Emma's son, Koenma, Yusuke joins powerful companions and begins a life of fierce battles with demons."
An interesting panel also talks about his influences.
Influenced Works "When interviewed in 2003, he said that he was influenced by H. R. Giger, who designed the alien in the 1979 movie Alien (directed by Ridley Scott). He has also stated in the first volume of Ten de Shouwaru Cupid that if he were to choose just one manga work as his favorite, he would pick The Drifting Classroom by Umezu Kazuo."
Then, we learn more about the characters, setting, story and depiction.
An informative panel introduces the characters:
Tumblr media
Character "There's the delinquent but hot-blooded Yusuke, the chivalrous Kuwabara, the clever Kurama, and the always cool-headed Hiei. With these four at the center, even the enemies have attracted zealous fans, and their popularity has spread to readers of all walks of life around the world. The characters' ranges are broadened by the dissonance between facial expressions that are drawn with a dramatic touch despite their caricature-like look, as well as the dissonance created by words and actions that occasionally provide comic relief in the midst of serious developments, which have heightened the appeal of the work."
There's a colored manuscript of Yusuke facing Toguro after Kuwabara's "death", and an explanatory text:
Yusuke Urameshi "Until this point, Yusuke had been enjoying fighting to some degree. That's when Younger Toguro takes Kuwabara's life (his death is actually temporary) in order to draw out Yusuke's power at the Dark Tournament. Unable to forgive himself, the soft, clear eyes of Yusuke as he stands up are enough to convey to the reader a change in his Spirit Energy and a sudden strengthening of his power."
Then, following this "Character" wall, we learn more about the other main characters of YYH. Kuwabara's highlight is the storyboard of chapter 36 (Byakko's Battle Roar!!) when he fights Byakko's beasts.
The Storyboard for Chapter 36 "The storyboard of an early work that was specially provided for this exhibition as a valuable material of the time. Chapter 36 depicts Kuwabara's battle strategy of using his Spirit Sword to skewer the beasts unleashed by Byakko, which is shocking even for Hiei."
I like that the explanatory texts also include some Togashi's comments taken from interviews and the "Yu Yu Hakusho Official Characters Book".
For example, they mentioned that Hiei wasn't supposed to become an ally, like Kurama, but it was Togashi's editor at the time who suggested it (Togashi mentioned that in a interview with Kishimoto to JUMP GIGA, 2016). A colored manuscript of the second popularity poll is also displayed with a note saying that Hiei won first place twice during the serialization. It's not mentioned, but after the serialization, there was a third poll in WSJ, and Hiei got first place again.
Character Popularity Poll "Hiei topped the character popularity polls conducted twice during the series. Initially, Kurama was drawn with a conscious effort to create a popular character, and Hiei was not even planned to be a part of the group. Hiei was only put in the group after an editor pointed out that he should be, but he eventually grew to become a beloved character with top-ranking popularity."
Other interesting comments taken from the official databook (2005) and "Yoshirin de Pon!" (1994) also appear. Kurama and Hiei weren't named after the mountains in Kyoto, but Togashi came up with their names by himself. Shuuichi's family name "Minamino" comes from celebrity Youko Minamino, and Hiei's model is Skunky from "Patalliro!". If you're interested, I made a post once of Togashi's comments about Hiei and Kurama.
Another example is the text about Toguro in the "Story" section:
Tumblr media
Story "The powerful enemies in the story are not necessarily absolutely evil, and the story's ending is not defined by the duality of right and wrong. The reason why Younger Toguro stopped being human, and the reason why Sensui lost faith in humanity was because they were only humans. What awaits beyond the fierce battles are questions posed to the readers by these very human characters." Younger Toguro "In the series, Koenma speculates that Younger Toguro's relentless pursuit of strength was based on his anger at his former powerlessness and his need to redeem himself for his friends. However, Mr. Togashi tell us that Younger Toguro has no remorse for his actions and all his decisions were his own to make."
The last part about Togashi's commentary on Toguro is actually an excerpt from the databook.
The "Story" section also brings a brief synopsis about Sensui, the former spirit detective.
Sensui "Sensui was a Spirit Detective before Yusuke. The dark side of humanity that he encountered during his mission changed him. Sensui, who feels that human existence itself is evil, aspires to join the demons and eventually opens the entrance to the Demon World. Sensui goes to the demon world out of contempt for humanity, and Yusuke is a demon who tries to protect humans. Although they are both Spirit Detectives, we realize that their paths were completely opposite."
I don't know if it was a matter of space, but I wish they also had talked about Yomi and the 3 Kings Arc arc in this section.
I like that on the "Setting" wall, they included a panel of Kurama VS Kaito.
Setting "Yu Yu Hakusho features a number of battle styles, including one-to-ones, battle royale, and tournaments. Yusuke and his companions are often involved in some kind of disturbance or test, whether it is against humans or demons. On the other hand, the battle settings themselves are also wide-ranging, from strength battles to brain battles to videos games, such as the Knife Edge Death Match, a head to head battle; Taboo, a battle of words without physical attacks; and Game Master, a gaming match. Each battle has a betrayal in a good sense, and the satisfying betrayal makes the reader feel even more expectations for the story."
VS Kaito "A prime example of a "brain battle" in this brilliant battle manga is the famous game between Kurama and Kaito. Kurama proposed an unusual rule: every minute, one letter of the alphabet is banned from being spoken. Something not commonly seen before, this battle of intellect highlights Kurama's cognitive capabilities and gave birth to a new type of "battle scene" that was more than a simple clash of power and strength, what's profoundly impacted the manga world."
It is said that Togashi has been inspired by many works, and the "territory" from this chapter was based off a Yasutaka Tsutsui's novel. He actually mentioned that information in an interview with Kishimoto, from Naruto's fanbook.
Yu Yu Hakusho gradually develops to a typical battle shounen, but in the Sensui Saga, it turns into a battle of wits.
The "Depiction" is a small section with some battle manuscripts from the Dark Tournament of Yusuke VS Jin and VS Younger Toguro. It talks about the impressive fights, spreads, and Togashi's skillfulness to guide the viewers between stillness and movement.
Depiction "There are many famous scenes in the series, but the battle scenes are especially impressive. The effective use of the spread, the skillful segmentation of the frame to guide the viewer's gaze, the contrast between stillness and movement that seems to stop time for the reader, and the occasional deliberately clear background are all designed to make the movement look spectacular."
After going through the introduction, and the explanations and manuscripts dedicated to the four points - Character, Setting, Story and Depiction - of the Yu Yu Hakusho series, we reach the fifth point.
When it comes to the "special piece" mentioned in the Prologue, the Yu Yu Hakusho Area has a special section called "Punch Line". The walls are decorated with the characters famous quotes, and there are also many selected manuscripts with famous lines.
Tumblr media
Punch Line
"Words are powerful in Yu Yu Hakusho. The work captivates the readers with monologues and explanatory text that are sometimes even more convincing than the illustrations. Famous lines includes, "I'm going to kill you with a double-page spread," "Don't underestimate the power of the evil eye," and "You don't even deserve the death." Togashi says his favorite part of the creative process is by far the making of storyboards. He says the peak of enjoyment is when he is thinking of what to draw just before starting the storyboard. Many of his hard-hitting punchlines are likely to have been created during the storyboard creative process."
I really like this special segment. Yu Yu Hakusho's lines and words have marked a whole generation and continue to attract new fans. I guess we all use some of the characters quotes in our daily lives.
One of my favorite quotes is Kurama's "You don't even deserve death" to Elder Toguro.
Tumblr media
After gaining a better understanding of Yu Yu Hakusho, we arrive at a bigger hall, it's finally time to appreciate the original drawings and color illustrations. They are displayed in chronological order, following the arcs of the "Spirit Detective", "Dark Tournament", "Black Chapter" (Door to Makai) and "Three Kings" (Makai Tournament). The walls are also painted and decorated with many scenes from the manga.
The cool thing about the manuscripts is that some words are actually different from the ones published, and we can even see some fine details such as Mukuro's nipples, that were erased afterwards in the comics. You can also buy copies of the manuscripts of the last two chapters in the shop.
In the center of the Yu Yu Hakusho Area, there are those big panels of Yusuke, Kuwabara, Hiei and Kurama. Behind them, there are original manuscripts called "Battle Scene Selection".
Tumblr media
I thought we could take photos of this central area, but they are forbidden. It's understandable, otherwise the fans would form a huge queue and obstruct the flow of people. Be aware to not step on those white/black lines. The staff called me out many times (lol).
This is an example of the carefully selected battle scenes that are behind the central panels. The double spreads of Hiei VS Seiryuu and VS Shigure are my favorite.
Tumblr media Tumblr media
The battle scenes of the quartet include manuscripts of:
Yusuke: VS Suzaku; VS Jin; VS Younger Toguro; the famous scene of Yusuke knocking every one of his opponents off of the platform, in the preliminary matches of the Makai Tournament.
Kuwabara: VS Rinku; VS Rishou; VS Elder Toguro; VS Mitarai (seaman).
Kurama: VS Touya; VS Karasu; VS Kaito; VS Elder Toguro.
Hiei: VS Seiryuu; VS Zeru; VS Shigure.
The Yu Yu Hakusho Area ends with the last chapter Act 175. "And so...". Notice the big illustration of the guys, drawn exclusive for the the Yu Yu Hakusho Artbook (2005), decorating the wall.
Tumblr media
Now, we head to Area 02 - Level E.
Area 02. "Level E"
Tumblr media
Serialization Period: September 19, 1995 (Weekly Shounen Jump 42, 1995) to December 21, 1996 (Weekly Shounen Jump Double Issue 3/4, 1997). 16 chapters in total.
Cumulative circulation (including digital editions): 2,6 million (as of September 2022)
Comment at the start of the series: "I wanted to do everything myself, so I decided to make a monthly series. Each successive chapter will appear when you've already forgotten the last one. Please feel free to read it." (Yoshihiro)
To get a better understanding of the Level E series, there is an introductory panel with a synopsis:
Synopsis "Hundreds of alien species come and go, living their lives on Earth. The only people unaware of this fact are the earthlings living on the planet. One day, Yukitaka Tsuisui, an ordinary high school student, meets a young man who calls himself an alien, and his daily life is disrupted without warning. This science fiction story depicts the strange lives of various aliens through Prince Baka, the first prince of the planet Dogra, who has both the brain of a genius and a devilish personality, and gets everyone else involved in his mischievous escapades with irreversible results."
Production Background "The production of Level E began with the unthinkable idea of creating a work that would not receive votes in a reader survey. As if to say he had drawn enough orthodox manga for his preview work, Yu Yu Hakusho, Mr. Togashi made the most of all the tools in his drawers and wrote it in an omnibus style, drawing what he liked in a monthly serialization."
Then, another panel that merges the 4 themes (Character, Setting, Story and Depiction) into a single explanation called "An Unexpected Development" (想定の斜め上).
The japanese expression "斜め上" literally means "diagonally above", and it means going up at a 45-degree angle (diagonally above) from one's imagination; to describe things that are unexpected or in a way different from what was expected. Because of its relatively widespread use since the 90s, this expression recently got into the japanese dictionary. It is said to be first used by Togashi in the Level E manga, a quote from Captain Kraft. Togashi-sensei is really a genius!
An Unexpected Development "In a sense, the lines of malicious dialogue by Kraft, a character in the work, most accurately express the essence of the work Level E. The series provides fresh surprise and excitement by always taking the least expect turns. As the fifth special piece to showcase the appeal, we have chosen one of these unexpected developments."
Initially, Level E was planned to be a self-contained series that does not need prior viewing of any other chapter to understand. However, Prince Baka was so well received by the readers, that he became the main character of Level E. It was really an unexpected development.
In this area, selected manuscripts from all 16 chapters are distributed in an 8-episode exhibition.
Tumblr media
In Japan, Level E is known for its 8 small episodes or arcs:
Episode 1. バカ王子・地球襲来編
Prince Baka: Invasion of Earth Arc (Chapters 01 to 03)
Episode 2. 食人鬼編
Cannibal Demon Arc (Chapters 04 to 05)
Episode 3. 原色戦隊カラーレンジャー編
Genshoku Sentai Color Rangers Arc (Chapters 06 to 09)
Episode 4. マクバク族サキ王女・ムコ探し編
Princess Saki of the Macbac Kingdom: Searching for a Husband Arc (Chapters 10 to 11)
Episode 5. 高校野球地区予選編
High School Baseball District Qualifiers Arc (Chapters 12 to 13)
On their way to the regional preliminary site for Koshien, the entire bus containing the Kisaragi High School baseball team members gets lost in a mysterious space. The baseball team tries to solve the mystery of supernatural phenomena caused by the subconscious mind, and the readers have as much fun guessing the "culprit" as the characters do.
Episode 6. 原色戦隊カラーレンジャー・人魚編
Genshoku Sentai Color Rangers: Mermaid Arc (Chapter 14)
Episode 7. バカ王子・結婚編
Prince Baka: Marriage Arc (Chapter 15)
In this chapter, Prince Baka proposes to Princess Luna. It's said that Togashi got the idea from Goku and Chichi's sudden marriage, from Dragon Ball.
Episode 8. バカ王・ハネムーン編
Prince Baka: Honeymoon Arc (Chapter 16)
This area is the smallest of the 3 series, but it feels like you're in a science fiction movie. Prince Baka's decoration is also too cute.
Tumblr media
Area 03. "Hunter x Hunter"
Tumblr media
Serialization Period: March 3, 1998 (Weekly Shounen Jump 14, 1998) to present.
Series cumulative circulation (including digital editions): more than 84 million (as of September 2022)
Comment at the start of the series: "Nice to meet you! My name is Togashi Yoshihiro, and I am excited to be able to create my dream Jump series. Please address your letters to "Toga P." (Yoshihiro)
It begins with an Introduction section:
Synopsis Gon Freecss, who aspires to become a hunter in order to find his father, Ging, passes the Hunter Exam, which is said to be extremely difficult, with the help of the friends he meets, and obtain a Hunter License. He then train as a hunter during his journey to find Ging, maturing as he overcomes various challenges. The storyline is unpredictable, and the novel Nen battles, which features both physical and intellectual combat, are just one of the elements that keep readers engaged in the adventurous action.
As explained in the Prologue, and similar to the "Yu Yu Hakusho" Area, the HxH work is also detailed in four points - Character, Setting, Story and Depiction.
Tumblr media
I copied the english explanations from the "Character" and "Depiction" sections:
Character "The story centers around Gon, Killua, Kurapika and Leorio. However, in some chapters, characters other than the four are depicted as the focus of the story, and the individual characters have a strong presence that contributes to the distinctive appeal of the work."
Hyskoa "Hyskoa is a magician that Gon meets in the Hunter Exam. He is a combat enthusiast who takes great pleasure in fighting and winning against strong opponents. Mr. Togashi also describes him as a popular character whose next action is always unexpected. He is a master trickster who acts only to satisfy his own desires and becomes both an enemy and ally of Gon and his companions."
Meeleem "Meeleem is born as the king of the Chimera Ants. He is portrayed as the strongest enemy of mankind, who believes violence to be true virtue. However, his encounter with a human girl named Komugi gradually changed his mind, and he appears to grow as a statesman. The conclusion of the emotional exchange between a tyrant and a weak girl becomes a shocking scene that remains one of the most famous in manga history."
Depiciton "Mr. Togashi says that one of the most important aspects of manga portrayal is whether or not what the character is trying to do in that moment is conveyed. Evident in the depicition in HunterxHunter is a sense of confidence in the ability to make the reader understand what is going on without relying on explanatory lines or stage directions."
When it comes to the 5th point, instead of a punch line section, there is a special section called "NEN".
Tumblr media
This special exhibition also shows some Togashi's unpublished notes about "nen". It is called Togashi Memo's "Nen Ability Setting Material" (冨樫メモの「念能力の設定資料」). If you're interested, you can see scans of this material and translations on reddit.
My personal opinion: this is probably early notes from when Togashi was still creating and developing the nen system. It doesn't mean you have to follow those memos to the letter. I believe Togashi is still improving his ideas, and making changes over the years.
After immersing yourself in the world of HxH, we arrive at the main exhibition room. The original manuscripts follow a chronological order, beginning with Gon meeting his friends to the current arc. They are divided in 7 parts:
Hunter Exam Arc (ハンター試験編)
Heavens Arena Arc (天空闘技場編)
Yorkshin Arc (ヨークシン編)
Greed Island Arc (グリードアイランド編)
Chimera Ant Arc (キメラ=アント編)
Election Arc (選挙編)
Succession to the Throne Arc (王位継承編)
In the last arc, there is like this huge chart with all the characters that appear in the succession war. It is explained that Togashi challenged himself by asking, "How many characters can one have in one chapter of the manga?". His goal for the Succession Arc is to surpass the number of characters in Captain Tsubasa's Jr. Youth Arc (excerpt from Jump Ryu interview, 2016). They also added that counting from chapter 340, when the Kakin Kingdom was introduced, over 200 characters have already appeared in 50 chapters.
In the exhibition, the manuscripts are displayed in frames, but when you buy the official catalog or copies of Hunter x Hunter manuscripts, you realize that many of them don't use the standard HxH manuscript paper with the "Yoshihiro Togashi POT" logo, but instead, it's Naoko Takeuchi's manuscript paper. What a cute couple!
In the center of the HxH area, there's the mizumi-shiki glass (water divination glass).
Tumblr media
Unfortunately, we can't neither take pictures nor do the test :P
Adjacent to the HxH Area, there's a weird area with manuscripts of bizarre creatures, it's Area 04.
Area 04. "World of Strange Creatures"
This small area is a special exhibition dedicated to the bizarre creatures that appear in Togashi's works. I was happy to see Helen from Yu Yu Hakusho.
Tumblr media
World of Strange Creatures "The creatures (?) with bizarre designs that occasionally appear in Togashi's works leave a powerful impression. This special exhibition area features a collection of all the strange and lovable beings depicted in each work. They are an interesting bunch of designs that offer a glimpse into the creativity and tastes of the artist."
Tumblr media
Finally, we reach the last area.
Area 05. Yoshihiro Togashi
As the name suggests, this area is dedicated to the author.
Tumblr media
It begins with a timeline of his life, from his birth in 1966, the first submission to the Weekly Shounen Jump in 1986, manuscripts from his early works (one-shots and his first series "Ten de wa Showaru Cupid"), to the present day.
"Sensee wa Toshishita" was a finalist of the 20th H☆S Award in 1986. Togashi won a cash prize and got a call from Toshimasa Takahashi who became his first editor, the same who proposed to Togashi that Hiei should become a main character.
Togashi's first submission is displayed in his timeline and printed in the catalog. He used a pen name at the time, Toritome Yomoya.
Tumblr media
It was hard to tell the correct reading of his pen name (鳥留 夜母屋), because the furigana (reading of the chinese character) was not printed in the WSJ magazine. But, now, thanks to the exhibition, we know it reads as Toritome Yomoya.
In Yuusuke Murata's book, Hetappi Manga Laboratory Returns, Togashi mentioned that in his first submission he asked for sharp criticism that would kill his enthusiasm of a beginner. The late editor Mr. Takahashi had also mentioned that this particular line caught his attention.
It's funny that Togashi thought that someone else was in charge of creating the titles for the covers. That also crossed my mind. Yu Yu Hakusho, for example, has such a beautiful logo with stars (幽☆遊☆白書).
In the back wall of this area, there are color illustrations of all his works, and in the opposite wall from his timeline, a corner called "Creators Messages".
Creators Messages
To congratulate Togashi for his exhibition, there are a total of 9 messages and illustrations from other manga artists and celebrities.

Film director Chloé Zhao
Togashi-sensei, congratulations on your exhibition! "Yu Yu Hakusho" had a great artistic influence on me when I was young, and it continues to inspire my work to this day. I can't forget the emotion I felt when I first read the scene where Toguro bids farewell to Genkai on the bridge of the Spirit World. When he took off his glasses, smiled at her and uttered his last words, I was 14 years old, and cried my eyes out in a crowded bus! Toguro's last words still bring me to tears. I re-read all the volumes every year, but when I see the photo of Yusuke, Kuwabara, Kurama, and Hiei on the last page, it always brings a lump to my throat. The beautiful and complex human nature of the heroes and villains depicted by Togashi-sensei has set the standard for me to tell amazing stories. Thank you, Togashi-sensei!

Yoshihiro Togashi-sensei, nice to meet you. My name is Kento Kaku, and I am an actor. I am fully aware that it is very rude for someone like me to have the privilege to comment on sensei's great day. However, allow me to inform you. When I saw sensei's work for the first time, was deeply impressed. By the story, the characters, the development, the structure, everything. Once I came across it, my criteria for "amusing" became sensei's work. I was at a loss. I was no longer excited by other stories. How many times did I practice the Black Dragon Wave (kokuryuuha), in my youthful days? (I also tried to feel like Bui). Why can't become a demon fox (Youko)? Why can't I put out 120% of my power? Sometimes, I spent half a day practicing "ten" (纏) (I also practiced "ten" (点) like I'm supposed to). I also imagined the flow of "gyo". In my Water Divination, the leaf do not move at all. There must be people throughout the world who have had the same experiences. That's how much we're obsessed with sensei's work. Sensei, thank you very much for giving us such exciting emotions. I would like to continue enjoying sensei's work.
T/N:
纏 (Ten): "Envelop"/"Shroud", the first of the Four Major Principles of Nen.
点 (Ten): "Point", the first exercise of the "Nen of the Flame".
TV Producer Nobuyuki Sakuma
Togashi-sensei has been in a different league, since I was a teenager 30 years ago. "This manga is so interesting to me now, but will I find it even more interesting when I'm older? I still don't understand it at all, do I?". With this thought in mind, I put it back on the bookshelf and read it again from time to time. It's entertainment, it's art, a guide, but in the end it's an extremely interesting manga. I'm glad I was born in the world line where Togashi-sensei was born and is drawing manga. Thank you very much.
Writer Yumeaki Hirayama
Despite the position Togashi-sensei holds in the current manga industry, isn't his writing style itself unusual? And yet, even though he sticks to it, there is no sign the reader's enthusiasm will drop at all. This is surely rare, and I have never heard of such a thing. According to his passionate believers, one of the charms of Togashi's work is the basso continuo (severe realism) that lies in his shounen manga style. Sometimes it looks splendidly cruel, sometimes even grotesque. However, I guess it is the outstanding grasp of reality that makes his work so appealing. I believe this is the reason why it has become a bible for modern youth. For me personally, it is as if you're being challenged to play a long, long tens of thousands-moves "tsume shogi". It is always a frightening work where there is no correct answer other than the checkmate. When I think about how much trial and error goes into producing the next frame, I can only shudder and gaze at his work in wonderment. I'm praying from the lowest seat that you may continue to wield a powerful pen for many years to come.
Togashi Yoshihiro Amusement Land
In the center of Togashi Area there's the only spot where photos are allowed, the "Togashi Yoshihiro Amusement Land".
Tumblr media
There are big covers of the first volumes of "Yu Yu Hakusho", "Hunter x Hunter" and "Level E". Hanging from the ceiling: Botan & Puu (Yu Yu Hakusho); Color Ranger's Golden Hammer crushing Prince Baka (Level E); and Knuckle's Potclean (HxH).
New illustrations
Behind the big covers of the photo area, the beautiful frame "ALL☆STAR in the PUZZLE", with the exhibition visual key, is strategically placed. So, it's impossible to take any photo. I'm glad the media shared this one. This frame is absolutely amazing, I want it in my living room.
Tumblr media
Finally, when you are leaving area 5, there's a message from Togashi, "Thank you very much for visiting us", and one more big surprise:
Tumblr media
A totally new illustration of Gon and Yusuke (check HD scan on @Vishkujo)!
Some people have been complaining that Yusuke is red, but Togashi color-coded him red many times during the YYH serialization in the 90s. I guess we all have this strong green image of him from the anime.
Official Shop
Of course, before you exit, don't forget to visit the Official Shop. Depending on the day or time you visit it, you may face a queue to get in. I recommend purchasing the Exhibition Official Catalog. It's just a pity that they didn't include the english text displayed at the exhibition in there.
Moreover, check the official site to see the current status of the merchandise. Many products are out of stock or being back-ordered. They have also changed the limit purchase of some items. And, if you're buying from resellers, take a look at the original price on the site first. Some products are being sold on sites like Mericari for three times more the retail price.
The goods will also be sold after the exhibition ends. So, probably only in 2024, after the Fukuoka tour. Details will be announced on the official site.
Pieces Cafe
On the 52rd floor, next to the venue, there's also the Pieces Cafe. Contrary to the shop, you don't need to have bought a ticket and visited the exhibition to enter the cafe.
I only had time for the Quartet Eternal Bond Tapioca milk/tea drink. The photo of the quartet is precious, I could hardly eat it.
Tumblr media
Next time, I want to try the Kurama x Hiei "TWO SHOTS" curry and the Toguro Brothers dessert.
I didn't have much time in Tokyo, so I hope I can spend more time and take down more notes when the exhibition comes to Osaka. I could only stay a few hours, but I would recommend at least four to five hours if you wanna check all the details and properly enjoy the shop and the cafe.
That's all. I want to write more, but this post is already too long and Tumblr only allows 30 photos per post. Maybe, I'll do a second post, talking more about the manuscripts and catalog. It's hard to explain everything without showing photos or videos of the place, so if there's any confusing information, let me know.

I got to Experience Los Angeles Comic Con with my best friends in the entire world over my birthday weekend
We hit the road early in the morning on Thursday the 30th to form the Cross Guild (and Luffy) trip of a lifetime.
We picked up our bestie Fate (Mihawk) first and then headed out to Yeti's house to load up Mama Croc's Minivan.
Tumblr media Tumblr media
I wore all the hats before loading them into the car, where we finally started the drive to Cali around 7-8am.
At some point we stopped at Eddie World, where my partner and I bought new friends, bat and platypus plushies we respectively named Jeff and Kiki.
Tumblr media Tumblr media
On the 30th as a special gift for my birthday weekend, we stopped at Forest Lawn Cemetery to visit Dwight Frye.
Tumblr media Tumblr media
This was an extremely emotional experience for me. I got to tell him how much me and my friends all appreciate his work and how much we all still love him and three little grass spiders crawled out onto the grave to say hello.
I also gave him a rose for everyone I know who wanted to pay their respects, which I truly believe made him happy.
I also cried like a bitch, but that's beside the point. It was incredibly special, the man is one of my heroes.
After that absolute emotional break mb, it still wasn't yet time to check into the hotel, so we swung by Little Tokyo for an early dinner (we each paid for dinner one of the four nights we were there, which was so much fun) I could not have asked for better people to spend my con weekend with.
Tumblr media
The hotel was TINY. Like, you had to turn sideways to walk around the bed tiny, but we somehow managed to not kill each other despite sharing a room with no privacy or space (which is just a testament to our friendship tbh)
But, we all managed to make it work and we successfully got our room settled and sorted, picked up our badges Friday around noon (LACC did a fantastic job with their ADA stuff, despite a small hiccup with the stickers.)
We got to be Robin and Raven for the short day, did some shopping (I got some great birthday presents from everyone) and then my Rayray did a shoot in the room, which came out AMAZING.
ON THIS, THE DAY OF MY BIRTHDAY
December 2nd finally arrived! It's my birthday, I got to cosplay as my favorite character, my partner was my other favorite character, and my whole crew cosplayed One Piece with me!
My bestie Fate got to attend Thankmas in the morning, and then we all got back together to get a group photo with Jamie Campbell Bower (and I got a special solo one because it was my birthday)
Tumblr media Tumblr media
He was so sweet and nice, and he almost killed me when he called me gorgeous. The picture was me freaking out a little, but it's fine. Lol He made my entire life.
The last day of con, I had also gotten the opportunity to get Jamie's signature - to which I decided to get my fanart of Henry and Eddie/Kas signed by him.
Not only did he specifically choose a pen that complimented the art (because he wanted it to look nice - I love him) but he asked if it was him and Joseph Quinn to which I said yes, it's Henry and Eddie, and he told me it was SEXY. He also wished me a happy birthday and told me I don't look a day over 19, which was wonderful since I'm 33. So, ya know...
Jamie Campbell Bower thinks my art is sexy and that I still look young and fresh. That's my accomplishment in life, I guess. Pretty good accomplishment, if you ask me...
Tumblr media
And now Jamie also has a copy of this piece, which I hope he loves.
It truly has been the best birthday I've ever had and I couldn't have asked to spend it with better people.
I already miss my Cross Guild and I can't wait for the next event we attend together.
I never hoped to have friends as wonderful as I do in adult life. I love them so much and they love me just as much back. It's been so amazing having them in my life, I can't even begin to express how grateful I am.

Perfect timing for late Flashback Friday (or Throwback Weekend).
On May 2023, I went to Japan with my mom for Spring/Mother's Day vacation - It was good, despite my struggles. I enjoyed going out, especially shopping and food.
During the trip, while I was taking some photos, I drew five sketches on my tiny sketchbook (Stillman & Bern - Zeta) with pen(s) and watercolors. Though, they were later on updated/edited, including the time after I came home (despite the dates that I wrote).
These watercolor sketches were referenced from the photos that I took. They were different from the photos, but at least I tried. The five sketches were Meigetsu-in, The Great Buddha Temple, Tokyo Tower at Shiba Park, The Beast's Castle from Tokyo Disneyland (I went to the ride, and it was great), and the Tokyo Station.
These sketches were done with ink pen(s) and Lukas watercolor travel box (for the second sketch, I edited it with white gel ink pen and a bit of color pencil after I got home from vacation).
Edited with GIMP (GNU Image Manipulation Program) this month. (I looked up on tutorial video by Urban Sketching World for getting ideas for editing scanned watercolor sketches from sketchbook).

about this space between sunrise and sunset
"i would have drawn you for free," yuuta says. 1k. yuta/maki. fluff. also on ao3.
Yuuta gets a day off once a week.
In a city as big and busy as Nairobi, he could have easily filled it with an entire day's worth of festivities. Instead, he finds his feet always carrying him down a familiar path on the main road, towards a small coastal town that tasted of salt and curry. Different artisan shops line around the seabank, multi-colored fairy lights dusted all over the poinsettia trees and lighting the walkway. The shoreline is a magnificent thing of beauty in itself, and Yuuta fings himself being able to spend hours and hours just people watching and looking at the waves crashing into the shore.
There are always festivals and there are always people.
But Nairobi, for Yuuta, is at it's most beautiful when the sun is just shy of setting: golden streaks line up against the sand, the clouds lounge lazily in the sky, floating carelessly like dandelions in the wind. There are times he thinks maybe the world is too large to contain his heart: but then there are little pockets of humanity like this—sunlight streaming in through the trees or the sound of children laughing—that he is reminded, again, just how much room he can still fit in.
It’s a bit lazy here, the mood of the city, somehow slower and more languid. It's a stark contrast to what he's used to in Tokyo: a city that never sleeps, a city that pounds footsteps into train stations endlessly, a city that never pauses to take in all that it's contained.
It's sometimes overwhelming, that feeling. Yuuta can't breathe it all in as fast as he can, no matter how hard he keeps trying. And so he draws.
-
His favorite spot to draw at was at a small embankment by the coastline.
The sea licked at his feet and he tasted salt in the air. His hair is in permanent disarray, his fingers are coated with grains of sand that never seemed to go away. Salt and coal clung to his clothes and skin. But always, when Yuuta situates his drawing pad and pencil, this is it.
When the first stroke from his pen meets paper, it then, is bliss.
-
And then, soft, there's a touch against his shoulder.
"Penny for your thoughts?"
Yuuta whips around slowly, bracing for something. He always traveled with his katana just in case. Seasoned into fighting he was now, he still can't help but be a sorcerer first. Only when his eyes finally make out the slender hand, and his eyes travel all the way to the rest of its arm, and then its body and its person and the familiarity, suddenly there is no threat at all.
Instead it's only, it's just, it’s finally: Maki, looking like sunlight filtered in and so golden it hurt, Maki.
"M-maki?"
Maki grins. "Konnichiwa!"
"What—" Yuuta stands up. Her hair is loose and tumbling down her back, and he eyes it, even as he steps closer to her. There's a pang in Yuuta's heart he registers as longing. He missed her. "W-what are you doing here?"
"How rude," Maki snatches the sketchpad he clutched to his chest, eyes lit in amusement. "Is that any way to greet your classmate?"
There's a pencil—his pencil, he now notes—nestled against a knot of her dark hair by her ear. He doesn’t know why he notices that more than anything else, but, he does.
"S-sorry," Yuuta looks away, sheepish. "I just. I didn't expect to see you here. See anyone, really."
"I didn't expect to survive an 18-hour flight either," Maki hums, looking over his drawings. "And yet here we are."
Right, Yuuta thought looking at her eyes trailing over his drawings. Here we are then.
Yuuta coughs. "Is everything okay back home?" Else why would she be here?
"Fine, fine," Maki waves him off casually, giving back his drawing pad. She turns to the sea, digging her bare feet into the sand. "Gojo-sensei needed to pick up a cursed weapon but was called for an emergency mission at the last hour. Nanami-san was also busy. So they sent me instead," her eyes flicker to him. "Sorry if I wasn't what you expected."
Yuuta didn't even hear his feet take the two steps closer. "No," he starts, trying to catch her eye. "No—um—not at all. I—I'm glad you're here, M-maki-san." He was nervous, and she knew he was, because the honorific only spilled out when he was.
Maki clamps a hand on his shoulder, grinning. "That's good then. Cause you're stuck with me for 2 more days!"
"How so?" Yuuta asks. Her palm was so warm, it burned through his tunic.
"Ijichi couldn't get me an earlier flight," Maki shrugs, facing the sea and the sky again. “Not complaining though.”
"I see," is all Yuuta says, still wracking his brain around her in general. It was always harder to concentrate when Maki was around. Even continents away, she still found a way to leave him breathless.
"I didn't know you drew," Maki says, tipping her chin at his sketchpad and oil markers.
"I don't, not really," Yuuta looks down at his stuff. "It's—it’s really just a hobby."
"Well, your drawings are not not terrible," Maki teases. "Must be doing something right with this hobby then."
Yuuta smiles a little at that.
Maki suddenly looks around for something along the seabed, stalking over to the shallow end and digging through it. She finds an old messenger bottle and saunters over back to him, grinning in open amusement. She stops just a few feet from him and situates the bottle at his feet. Then she drops a single coin into it.
"Will you draw me then?" Maki smiles, and it’s a sweet, careful thing; like holding a bird between his hands.
Yuuta flushes, and she notices, and she laughs then and it sounded as free as he felt. The wind, the sun, the light in her eyes. He fishes for the coin and tosses it back to the sea before turning back to her.
"I would have drawn you for free," Yuuta says.

Izumi Iori - PTT Xmas RabbitChat 4/5: Secret Trip
Tumblr media
Part 1 | Part 2 | Part 3 | Part 4 | Part 5
Tsumugi: Thank you for your hard work.
Iori-san, thank you for waking me up earlier!
Tsumugi: I can’t believe I fell asleep on the desk at the office…
You really, really saved me…! ><
Tsumugi:
Tumblr media
Iori: You were plopped on the desk while holding a pen and notebook, I wondered what was wrong.
Iori: Did you make it to the job site?
Tsumugi: Thanks to your efforts, the filming ended without a hitch!
Iori: That’s good.
I’m glad I went to the office by chance, so please look after yourself.
Tsumugi: Yes… I’ll keep that in mind…!
Tsumugi:
Tumblr media
Tsumugi: Also, um… There’s something I want to ask…
Iori: What is it?
Tsumugi: Did I… sleep talk…?
Iori: Ah, yes it was truly incredible.
Tsumugi: Eh!
Tsumugi: It was incredible?!
Iori: I was very surprised.
Tsumugi: Aaaaah please forget it ><
Tsumugi:
Tumblr media
Tsumugi:
Tumblr media
Iori: I’m kidding. You were sleeping quietly.
Tsumugi: R-really?
Iori: Yes.
Tsumugi: Aah, I’m glad…
Tsumugi:
Tumblr media
Iori: But your mouth was open.
Tsumugi: Eeeh!
Tsumugi:
Tumblr media
Iori: It was open a bit so please don’t think about it too much.
Tsumugi: Ugh, this is really embarrassing… ><
Iori: Anyway, you’ll get colds if you doze off in the office.
Tsumugi: I agree… I will sleep properly at home.
Iori: Please do.
It’s our busy season, and it’ll be troubling if you collapse.
Tsumugi: Thank you for your consideration…!
Tsumugi:
Tumblr media
Tsumugi: You’re going to go out today, right?
Iori: Yes. I went as far as Akihabara(1) to buy Christmas presents.
Tsumugi: It’s for exchanging gifts during the party!
Is your exchange partner Nagi-san?
Iori: You're correct. It was decided by ladder lottery. (2)
Tsumugi:
Tumblr media
Tsumugi: I thought of it when you said you went to Akihabara! (laugh)
Iori: It was a Kokona limited merchandise that you can only buy onsite.
Iori: He was emitting a bad aura for the past few days because he had to go to work on the release day.
Tsumugi: I see… That’s why you kept asking me for Nagi-san’s schedule.
Tsumugi:
Tumblr media
Iori: I’m glad I bought it successfully.
CHOICE
1. Was the queue really long?
Iori: I went there after researching about it, but it wasn’t long.
I realized Kokona’s popularity due to the competition in distribution of numbered tickets.
2. Did you buy anything else?
Iori: I came across a King Pudding ornament and bought it.
Yotsuba-san was happy and decorated it on the Christmas tree, so please give it a look once you come over.
3. What kind of merch did you buy?
Iori: It was a chibi figure(3) wearing a Santa Claus costume.
I finally understood Rokuya-san’s boast, “Kokona’s cheerful smile is cute.”
Tsumugi: It’s no mistake that Nagi-san will be very happy!
Iori: I look forward to his reaction on the appointed day.
Tsumugi:
Tumblr media
Tsumugi: Huh?
Tsumugi: That reminds me, a moment ago Riku-san told me both of you will go out. Are you two going shopping?
Iori: Eh.
Iori: Ah, I’m going to meet him later. Since I’m pretty near.
Tsumugi: I see!
He told me the two of you ate lunch together. I thought he asked you to spend the day off together.
Iori: It just happened that we haven’t eaten lunch yet so we had to go out.
Tsumugi:
Tumblr media
Iori: Did Nanase-san tell you anything else?
Tsumugi: He asked me about the President and Banri-san’s recent happenings.
Tsumugi: Also, he told me that Tamaki-san seemed troubled on what present he could give to a girl in the facility and seek his advice.
Iori: Huh.
Iori: I see…
Iori: He certainly mentioned something of that sort before.
Iori: I’m sorry, I remembered an errand.
I’ll contact you later.
Tsumugi: Y-Yes!
Tsumugi:

TL notes:
1 - Akihabara is a district in central Tokyo famous for its otaku culture. The market is focused on anime, manga, and video games. This is where Tokyo Big Sight (where ComiKet, Comic Market, is held) is located.
2 - Ladder lottery. Lottery in which participants trace a line across a lattice pattern to determine the winner (jisho.org)
3 - The Japanese dialogue is literally "distortion figure." The "distortion" word is borrowed from the French word "déformer." These figures are typically small in size, hence the use of "chibi"... which means small in Japanese.

Scooby-Doo! and the Phantom Thieves (Formerly known as Scooby-Doo! Meets Persona 5)
DISCLAIMER: The following crossover you're about to experience is a reimagining and a reinterpretation of the main story of the hit Persona 5 Strikers video game, depicting a world entirely separate from the main flow of the Scooby-Doo franchise and the worldwide RPG Persona series. Say, it's just like the Dead Rising 2: Off the Record video game - a "new version of an existing story"
Synopsis: Worlds collide as the casts of SCOOBY-DOO! and PERSONA 5 team up in a crossover ordeal that is a re-interpretation and reimagining of the hit Persona 5 Strikers video game - an alternate version of the same story!
Scooby-Doo and the Mystery Inc. gang - Fred, Daphne, Velma, and Shaggy - embark on what was supposed to be a relaxing vacation once they visit modern-day Tokyo, but only to have been interrupted when events of something strange and supernatural occurred during their time of fun and games…literally! They find themselves in an alternate version of Tokyo in the Metaverse called a Jail, where people’s desires are being taken by the ruler’s shadow called Monarchs, complete with cop-resembling monsters called Shadows. As they try to find a way to escape, Scooby and the gang have another mystery on their hands as they are put on high alert - this time, there are no guys in rubber masks.
SIDE: SD (Scooby-Doo): After wrapping up yet another mystery, Velma got an invite from her pen-pal, asking her to come to Shibuya to visit. Once she, Fred, Daphne, Shaggy, and Scooby-Doo arrived in modern-day Tokyo, however, they are in for an unexpected and supernatural surprise! Thanks to a recently popular app they installed called EMMA, the Mystery Inc. gang ended up in an entirely, different Tokyo filled with cop-resembling monsters called Shadows. Luckily, two masked teenagers and a cartoonish-like, talking cat came to their aid, calling themselves the Phantom Thieves! Once they return to the real world, Fred, Daphne, Velma, Shaggy, and Scooby realized that a series of cases involving a "change of heart" are happening all over the country of Japan and their new friends are being under suspicion by the police for the recent cases from last year and their involvement. The Scooby gang will have to help their new Persona-using friends clear their names in their longest, most unexpected mystery yet...
But there’s another team also on the case as the Scooby gang ran into…the Phantom Thieves of Hearts from Persona 5, consist of normal teenagers-turned-Persona users Ren Amamiya, Ryuji Sakamoto, Ann Takamaki, Yusuke Kitagawa, Makoto Niijima, Futaba Sakura, Haru Okumura…and their talking black cat, Morgana! Why? Because they had stumbled into this world as well, thanks to a popular app called EMMA. Not only that, but their camping trip on summer vacation together has turned into a road trip when they are being the prime suspects of a series of cases involving a change of heart in people that is happening not only Shibuya, but all over the country of Japan, currently investigated by the Tokyo branch of the Public Security Bureau.
SIDE: P5 (Persona 5): Months have passed since Ren Amamiya left Tokyo after his probation ended, and now he and Morgana return to the bustling streets of Shibuya in order to enjoy summer vacation with their old friends and comrades - Ryuji Sakamoto, Ann Takamaki, Yusuke Kitagawa, Makoto Niijima, Futaba Sakura, and Haru Okumura. Unfortunately, despite the celebration, the smiling faces of his former teammates and comrades-in-arms weren't the only things awaiting Ren's arrival. Summoned by Lavenza of the Velvet Room, Ren learned from her that a new, potential danger threatens to consume him and the entire world, which made him become a prisoner of fate once again. This led Ren to a sudden conclusion - the Metaverse that he and the Phantom Thieves had worked so hard to destroy has return in an unexpected way! One day, while shopping for camping stuff, Ren, Ryuji, and Morgana find themselves transported from the real world and into an alternate version of Shibuya in the Metaverse in their Phantom Thief attire, all due to a popular app they installed called EMMA that somehow acted as the new Meta-Nav. There, they fought Shadows that dressed like cops, encountered an A.I. named Sophia, and in an unexpected plot twist, they are joined by Mystery Inc., consisting of Fred, Daphne, Velma, Shaggy, and their talking dog, Scooby-Doo, who are also on the case when they have accidentally entered the Metaverse through EMMA as well. Once they return to the real world, the Phantom Thieves reassembled again to unravel this new Metaverse called the Jail, only to find themselves being suspected by the police for being involved in a series of Change of Heart incidents all over the country. But what if the Phantom Thieves and the recently joined Sophia...turn to Mystery Inc. for help?
Thinking that this case is similar to their previous adventure from last year** (**See Persona 5) and that someone is framing them by not changing people’s hearts under the same reasons as them, the Phantom Thieves reluctantly turn to Mystery Inc. to help them crack the case, leading both groups to team up - that means Scooby-Doo and Morgana will have to get along, right? They are joined by Sophia, a sentient A.I. who can detect the presence of Jails; and Zenkichi Hasegawa, a member of Public Security who needs both the Phantom Thieves and Mystery Inc.’s help to catch the true perpetrator.
But when the bad guys labeled the Phantom Thieves as terrorists, Scooby-Doo and the gang bravely try to rescue them from getting arrested and Zenkichi's daughter, Akane Hasegawa, will have to play a huge role as she summons her very own Persona and later joins the fray! To make matters worse, they’re suspected of being accomplices to the Phantom Thieves. Will both groups be able to get out of this situation and solve this very long and huge mystery?
WORLDS COLLIDE: SD/P5: Mystery Inc. find themselves in a very serious and long mystery and the Phantom Thieves' plans for summer vacation takes an unexpected plot twist when two groups join forces, using their mystery-solving and phantom-thieving skills to crack cases involving a change of heart across the cities of Japan, learning more about the circumstances of the Change of Heart epidemic and the Metaverse-like Jails... Who is behind it all, and to what end? And can Mystery Inc. help their new Persona-user friends find the truth behind these strange incidents...or will they end up being arrested by the police as well? The ordeal of the Phantom Thieves and Mystery Inc. has just begun...
Pack your Scooby Snacks and summon your Personas for this is the one crossover team-up you never expected that needs both mystery-solving…and phantom-thieving.

C A M M I N G . J P / 1
warnings: camboy!gojo, teacher x student, voyeurism, masturbation, neutral gn fem bodied reader, a little shitty cause it’s an introduction lol, i’m not really happy w the result tho
There isn’t a rule Gojo hates more on the Jujutsu Tech School than the one that allows students to bring laptops to class.
It has nothing to do with his way of giving class, and he didn't vote for it when the teachers reunited not long ago. Even when his classes are usually theory – he had nothing against practical lessons, but he was extremely lazy –, talking to a group of students whose eyes where fixed on screens didn't fill his teacher ego. Specially on your class, the older ones, who decided to specialize on the Tokyo School. It was a little course, just one more than the three students he started to give class almost six years ago, when they weren't more than teenagers. Time passes fast, he thinks, as he looks at his four students in front of him.
Yuuji, who entered without knowing anything about Jujutsu, and he's now one of the strongest, still harboring the King of Curses inside him, totally under control. Gojo has always admired the patience and the inner dialogue Yuuji was capable to set with Sukuna, and he's glad to see the guy and the curse got a strange friendship respecting each other's interests. In anyway, he has still strict orders of killing Itadori if Sukuna tries to take control. And immediately after, taking his own life for being unable to control it. That's a little dramatic, and he may even think about escaping to Canada with a new name and a new life, but he's still aware of his destiny.
On the table right next to him, Megumi plays with a pen, silently listening to whatever Yuuji is telling him with a big smile. Gojo feels how his 33 years gain weight on his back. He saw Megumi grow, become the man he's today, with almost 20 years. Gojo knows he's one of his most capable students, getting ready to reach the highest sorcery grade. He works hard, and he's ready to become one of the biggest sorcerers of the moment.
On the other side of the class, Nobara Kugisaki shows something to you on her phone. Nobara is still stuck on her 15, with that capricious and teen behavior, but, at the same time, Gojo knows perfectly she uses it as a shield. After the things she suffered, well, all of them, it's normal to have psychological as well as physical sequelae. Gojo respects her, and he's always surprised for the strength that the girl has inside her. Next to her, you.
Gojo Satoru is always curious about his students, but he has to admit that you, who entered with almost 18 a couple years ago, transferred from Kyoto to Tokyo, are still a whole world of unknown things he wants to discover. You had an easy time to adapt to the existent group and easily became friends with all of them. It's common to find you training with Yuuji, talking with Megumi or shopping with Nobara. You also showed a huge capability to talk to teachers – specially, to Nanami, for some reason Gojo prefers not to know.– But you're still incapable to talk with him without taking your eyes away from his, or leave quickly. He found it cute and even amusing at first, but now, seeing how you freely talk with Nanami as if he was a friend more, it's starting to crisp him. He wants you to talk to him the same way.
Maybe his intentions are mixed and he doesn't really want you to talk to him as one more. He wants more than your usual interactions with other people. Probably he's being egoistic, but he wants you to blush at his jokes and to search him on the breaks. He wants to make you nervous, to make you want to talk to him, to rely on him. To desire him, even when he knows it shouldn't be like that. He tried not to fall, he tried it so hard, but, now that he wants you so bad, he at least desires his feelings being reciprocate. But, he has a huge problem.
Satoru Gojo is used to have people reaching him like butterflies towards light and, for the first time, he's the one supposed to talk to you first, to ask you for a date and to reach you. And he doesn't know how to call your attention, specially knowing there's less than a week to finish the course, and with it, your stay on the Jujutsu Tech School of Tokyo, under his gaze.
In one hand, he feels lucky for that. He won't be nervous about the fact that you're still a student on his class and he, your tutor. And, at the same time, it makes him think how the hell is going to keep contact with you, when you have no business there once you stop studying. He could ask Nanami if he has your number, and make up a excuse to see you.
No. He's not going to ask for help, and less to his best friend, who didn't tell him about his marvelous friendship with you. Gojo will make things on his own way, and he hopes they will result.
"Going back to the class, please open that damn laptops and take notes. And this is a direct warning for you, Itadori. I saw you playing the other day, and you suck at 2048." You all open your laptops while the teacher walks to the back of the class, having a panoramic of all your screens, making sure you all are opening your books. And he sees it. You're fast to take it away, but he read clearly the web you left open yesterday on your laptop: camming.jp
He only was able to see the big pink logo on top of the page before you closed it, blushed and looking around to find his covered gaze on you. He looked away, as if he wasn't paying attention to you. He saved the page on his memory, thinking of his first alone time on the morning to check it on his phone. Just with the name, he can even imagine about what it could be, but, at the same time, internet domains sometimes play to be called in ways that don't relate to the content. He hopes he's wrong, or else, he'll have to fight with all a community of streamers you probably like. He'll investigate a little, if it is based off videogame streaming, he can talk with you about games! a direct way to have a conversation with you. His plan was amazing, and it had no margin for error.
However, two hours later, alone on his office, he did not expect to find a half-naked man welcoming him to the page for the first time, apart from a large pink pop-up warning asking for age verification. Gojo lifted his brow as he checks twice that his door is closed and the window that connects his study with Nanami's has the blind down. His attention goes back to the phone, putting the volume down as he types.
"An adult video website, huh?" he smiles for himself as he introduces his age on the page pop-up, and once checked, it lets him access to the content. "An adult streaming website." he hums. He slides down, streamers of all genres and ethnicities showing up on home-made streams, filtered by the top favorites of the week and verified streamers of the page. Gojo supposes it works with tips that public leaves to the streamers, as he keeps looking down to the solo section, the couples, the threesomes. There's a lot of alternatives and a lot of different genres to choose from. He licks his lips softly. So this is what you do on your free time? Getting closed up on your room at the dormitories of the Jujutsu School, seeing this streams? Cute, he thinks, as an idea starts to appear on his mind. He wants to call your attention, but there's no way he will abroad you on the corridor to talk about sex streamers. But, what if he became one?
He doesn't want to be narcissist, but he's handsome. He has a nice body, and his private parts are for sure something to be proud of, he thinks. He doesn't mind to show his solo fun routine for an audience, specially, if you're between them. No one is going to recognize his hands and his moans, but he will make sure you have a way to recognize him. After all, this is the only purpose he has in mind while he starts typing information and switches the account from "viewer" to "streamer".
Under the profile name of "blue_eyed_guy", he puts all the necessary information and adds a profile pic, one he took on the beach several years ago that shows from his marked abs to his strong and pale legs. He's even excited to start, he's not gonna lie. The fact that you're gonna see him makes Gojo smile. He sets his usual stream time to your free hours, as he calculates it might be the time you get connected to the stream. He only needs to get who you are between the tons of users inside, and worse, make you get connected to his stream. They're both important steps and he has no idea on how he's gonna make it. He decides to try luck on a first stream, right after his last class, once he's comfortable on his bed.
Another pop-up appears as soon as he opens the web on his laptop, already home, showered, without the blindfold and half-naked. "Do you want to collaborate on a video with your favorite streamer? Click here for more info!" A big smile appears on his lips. Collaborations? Maybe that makes his work a lot easier. Of course, if you want to collaborate. Though, you wouldn't have why record a video. Maybe just give some orders... Ask for special clothes...
To collaborate, you need to be geographically close, which makes all the people who aren't from Tokyo unable to participate. Then, some specifications from the streamer can make the circle of people smaller, until he has some profiles to pick from.
Maybe he could use a final sentence on stream, and use it on class too! Watch your reaction to it and get if you see his streams or not. He decides to try both as he turns the led lights red, make sure his face is away from the frame and clicks on start streaming. At first, just a couple people join, as he has his hands occupied on the keyboard, searching for some video to heat him up. He's not even aroused, but he needs to get you so bad... He needs to start now.
His hands caress himself above the fabric of his pants as the video starts. Some more people enter, as he counts with an special new streamer push, and he starts to imagine. Are you looking at him? Are you connected to his stream? He takes the first layer of clothes away, only black underwear covering him. He keeps rubbing as he gets harder, ideas about you filling his mind. Will you touch yourself to him? Will you think about him - as your teacher, not as a random streamer - while?
He doesn't know that the answer to all of them is yes. You're on his stream, as the page recommended it to you, and his bony and large hands pressing his bulge made you imagine them on another places, until you paid special attention to his right hand. A scar could be seen, just if you looked really well.
If you knew where to search it.
"Sad, isn't it?" Gojo sarcastically said in class while showing his hand, with a largue scar, some weeks ago. "The strongest sorcerer gets his first scar cooking."
He didn't know you knew it was him, and blood rushes up to your cheeks as you imagine the frame of his face, his chest and his long legs. You wonder if he keeps the blindfold on or he doesn’t, as your brain questions your teacher. Why is him on a page like this? And why is him streaming?
Since you entered to study on Tokyo, the tall teacher called your attention. First, with his heavenly looks, and then, with his smooth personality. You started to feel attracted to him without noticing it, every time he took you four out for a mission, picking you up later to have dinner, when he let his hair fall on his forehead, with big sunglasses covering his eyes. You read the stream title, “i’m just trying, might delete acc” as, on the other side of the screen, Gojo’s mind started to wonder further. The video he was using is long forgotten as his mind produces specially explicit images of you. Of your body, always wrapped in that uniform, on your hands - and the things he thought when he saw you wrapping them around a katana, so tight and sliding them so slowly -. The comment section starts to move, asking him to take off his underwear or to show his face. The first low tips start to appear as well. You look attentive to all the movements of the man on the little screen of your laptop, as, doubting, you place your fingers on the keyboard, ready to post a comment for him.
It’s short, and it calls his attention because it’s different to the ones he has been receiving until now, all of them being extremely lewd and asking him in different ways to fuck them. It’s wrote all in lowercase, and it makes his heart race and his lips part in a low moan. Even when he’s usually the one saying this things, the praise sends a new wave of arousal down his body.
“good boy.”
Your shy personality makes him unable to attach you with that comment, and it will probably cover you until he deletes his account, making him unable to discover who’s the person behind the account that just tipped him 750 yens. He doesn’t want the money - he has tons of that, with a generous salary and a big inheritance from his ancestors. -. Maybe, he doesn’t care at all who’s behind the mysterious tipper, but you’ve heard of streamers who contact the best fans for a reward. It could be fun, and, if you can get it easily, you wouldn’t say no, acting surprised when you discover he’s your teacher and praying he doesn’t mind about your professional relationship. It would be an easy way to get close to him and, maybe, to have some fun without having to ask him directly. Gojo's hand presses harder on himself as you're able to hear him groan, making your body shake and your core get pathetically wet. His fingers curve under his black underwear waistband, as yours sneak pass your skirt end. Gojo playfully plays with the elastic, making the chat impatient and you impatient. He releases it, still rubbing the bulge from above, as he gets comfier on the bed, showing pale skin and strong arms, but without showing his face. You wonder how his skin would feel against yours, how deep his fingers - and his cock.- would go inside you. It makes you dizzy just to think about how he curled them to get the elastic, and how nice it would feel to get them curved inside you.
Desire has been consuming you for a long while, and you weren’t able even to talk with him, because every single little action the man does catches your attention and gives free room to all the naughty thoughts you could develop from that, without knowing, of course, that your teacher was having those same ones on the other side of the table. How many times both of you dreamed with closing the class door and use the desks for something more than studying. As he keeps a good rhythm, you get comfortable, putting your earbuds and letting your hand find your panties, caressing in circles from above the pink fabric while you put the laptop near you, opening your legs on the bed. You’ve done this so many times thinking about him that you don’t blush anymore, even when hearing his groans and moans make your heart skip a beat. Your lips part to release shaky breathes as your hand moves faster and harder against the now wet underwear, as you open your eyes with difficulty to look again to the screen. He lets spit fall from his mouth to his hand, as the other hand takes the waistband again but, this time, taking it completely away. You moan softly when he does the same, once his bony fingers are wrapped around his shaft and he starts little movements. Up, down, up, down, so slowly but so good. He’s just using his imagination, convinced that he’ll have the autocontrol to enter in you slowly, without slamming his hips against you or give too hard thrusts inside, even when he imagines your tight hole squeezing him to death. Just the image of having you naked, on his bed, with blushed cheeks and hair made a mess while you try not to moan as he fucks you is enough to make him twitch in anticipation. He doesn’t know how many time he has been streaming, or how many time he should, but if he keeps having all those fantasies, he won’t last long enough to make more content.
His hand increases its pace as yours do, the other covering your mouth to avoid being heard, even when supposedly no one is around the dorms. Is Gojo streaming from his dorm on the School? You can’t see clearly because of the led lights that cover the background, but it seems to be bigger, and an apartment, not a first-floor traditional house, as the dorms are. Gojo keeps going, his moans being more and more deep, as the chat, with several members now, burns in comments of “keep going” and “edge yourself.”. But you want to see him cum so bad… To hear him moan and to see his hips sweetly thrusting against nothing.
His hand slows a little as his breath trembles, legs tensed while he curses in deep voice, as he gets stained with cum. His chest - or what you can see of it.- raises and decreases quick, as he giggles softly, tired. He gets closer to the camera, showing only the V on his hips and his torso, to whisper against the mic, while your hands are still busy down there.
“I’m searching someone to… help me on my next stream. Please, if you’re from Tokyo and you enjoyed this, fill the form I’ll be leaving here. Thanks for watching.”
His soft, breathless voice against your ears makes you moan as your hips search your fingers harder against the wetness, as your mind wonders. You can fill that form. It’s the opportunity you’ve been searching.
He would love so much to see you moaning his name as you roll on bed, with your fingers still above your underwear and the image of himself getting off repeating on your brain while your mouth opens in pleasure and your pussy clenches around nothing as your tired body finds liberation.
Both of you sigh at the same time, getting up and going to the bathroom, cleaning yourselves before getting your laptops again. He’s quick to make the survey as you’re quick to find it and fill it up.
His smile gets bigger when the first collaboration request comes from a name he knows too well. You.

Elderly Lady adding Tanzaku Paper Strips to a Bamboo Wish Tree
Location: Jindai-ji Motomachi, Chofu City, Tokyo, Japan Timestamp: 13:57 on July 19, 2023
The Tanabata Festival: Legend has it that every July 7th, the Weaver Star and the Cowherder Star embark on a journey across the Milky Way to reaffirm their bond of love. In Japan, these celestial lovers are honored wishes penned onto strips of vividly colored paper, fastened to bamboo trees or stalks. This tradition spans across Japan, with numerous cities, including Hiratsuka in Kanagawa Prefecture, gaining renown for its elaborate Tanabata festivities.
Known as "tanzaku," these colorful paper ribbons, along with other bright ornaments, dangle from bamboo branches in Japanese homes, shopping arcades, railway stations, and communal areas. Prior to their hanging on the bamboo, tanzaku are adorned with wishes, be it a child's aspiration to become a renowned soccer player or a parent's yearning for professional success.
