Nothing safe is worth the drive Sam & Rosina
Summary: Rosina is fine. Really she is. People break up all the time. It's FINE. Sam knows this. And yet he keeps finding himself at her flat. Just to make sure.

oetravia replied to your post: Any idea if Rosina will be in this series?
Going off the Tom York’s piece in the media pack and Amelia Clarkson’s instagram, she’s definitely in it. When she’s going to pop up in anyone’s guess. I’m surprised she hasn’t already.
There you go, anon.
Mind, you know who we have seen? Jacka Hoblyn, Rosina’s father, in with Tess’s rabble. So that’s an interesting way into that, maybe?

Hello, Poldarkies!
Another update here. This time a bunch of different information.
As you probably noticed, I have changed an icon and the blog has a new theme. Hopefully you like it, but if anything is unclear or confusing, just send an ask. :) In this new theme there will be a link to universal rules that apply to all of the appreciation weeks, as well as to the past weeks archive. I’m still working on these two, but it shouldn’t take me too much time.
I haven’t yet decided anything about the next appreciation week, neither the date nor what/who will it be dedicated to. If you have any ideas or preferences, please send me asks and I will definitely take it into consideration.
Finally, thank you very much to all of you who participated in Minor Characters Appreciation 2 Weeks, you guys were most creative! For a few more days I will keep tracking the #poldarkminorweeks tag just in case somebody’s late to the party and wants to share their edits. :)
After these 2 weeks I decided to make some statistics and count the characters chosen by the bloggers. Here’s the list of the characters, according to the number of posts they appeared in:
1. Margaret Vosper & Tankard - both 15 posts
2. Cary Warleggan - 9 posts
3. Keren Daniel & Unwin Trevaunance & Jinny Carter - 8 posts
4. Ruth Teague (Treneglos) - 6 posts
5. Prudie Paynter - 5 posts
6. Agatha Poldark & Andrew Blamey & Rosina Hoblyn & Hugh Armitage & Jim Carter - 4 posts
7. Rowella Chynoweth & Jud Paynter - 3 posts
8. Geoffrey Charles Poldark & Osborne Whitworth & Tom Harry & Matthew Sanson & Ray Penvenen & Julia Poldark & Ambrose Warleggan & Emma Tregirls - 2 posts
9. Lord Falmouth & Garrick & Horace & Zacky Martin & Captain Henshawe & Nicholas Warleggan & Mary Warleggan & Joan Pascoe & Esther Blamey & James Blamey - 1 post per each

The Black Moon, Book Three, Chapter 1
‘Do you speak French?’ ‘Aye. Rough and ready but plenty of it. Like a native, as you might say.’ ‘This – this that I might put in your way –there might be some danger in it or then there might not.’ Tholly rattled the bones in his bag. ‘That sound like my young Cap’n. It sound like him and like the Old Cap’n over again.’ ‘Well, clear your mind, Tholly, it is not. In a few weeks’ time I am going to France as part of a French expedition which is expected to land – well, somewhere on the French coast. There will be very few English except English sailors on the ships and English marines, but I am going and thought to take half-dozen men with me who would be under my orders, though I should myself be under orders either from the English commander or directly from the French.’ ‘I’m your man.’ ‘Wait. Before you agree too readily let me make other conditions plain. There would be no raiding, no foraging, no stealing French property or taking French women. Anyone found guilty of any such crime would be shot.’ ‘All proper and above board, eh, Cap’n?' ... I’ll pay each man who comes. A fixed sum which will be his only reward.’ ‘How much?’ ‘Twenty guineas.’ The coughing resumed, and when Tholly was able to speak Ross was unable to catch what had been muttered. ‘What?’ ‘I said, make it fifteen, Cap’n, and I’ll come.’ The men he invited to join him were, apart from the one he had just asked, men who had benefited, or seen their families benefit, from Dr Dwight Enys’s ministrations. Jacka Hoblyn, Joe Nanfan, John Bone, Tom Ellery, Wilf Jonas, the miller’s son.

Chelsea Memories
By now the Royal Hospital grounds should be back to normal and this year’s Chelsea Flower Show is fading into memory. Quite a lot of my show coverage this year was elsewhere on social media, so I’m taking the opportunity to scoop it all up and keep a record of it on here.
Before I do that, I wanted to take the opportunity to congratulate Tom Hoblyn on his Dubai Majlis show garden. This was…

Pro Landscaper announces its 30 Under 30: The Next Generation 2017 winners
Pro Landscaper is proud to announce the winners of its 30 Under 30: The Next Generation 2017, sponsored by Glendale, with an official presentation to be held at FutureScape 2017 on Tuesday 14 November at Sandown Park Racecourse, Esher, Surrey.
30 Under 30: The Next Generation was initially launched to help young people within the horticulture and landscape sectors gain recognition, celebrate their achievements, and to promote them in a way that would enhance their careers.

Brief 5x08 thoughts
(while the denial is strong enough to think)
Wow. Shortest hour of my entire life. How is it already over?
I am happy. Heart full, and singing happy. Could some little things (Carolight baby...) have been added, absolutely, but I am thrilled.
Everyone legitimately destroyed me with their acting this week. Seriously. EVERY SINGLE PERSON.
First of all, Ross. I had my doubts about this arc, but it was actually really well done, and we got to see Ross show some emotional vulnerability when confronted with the consequences of his actions. “Do I love her?!” That was so gorgeous.
Demelza feeling sorry for Tess despite everything. I can’t deal with her soft heart. Honestly. Her quick thinking with the french guy, that was brilliant. But the lingering doubts and pain she’s had all these years coming up again. Ugh. I’m so unbelievably happy with the way things ended for her and Ross. They are finally at that place; true trust and belief in one another.
Dwight. His reaction to Caroline’s reminder of Keren, calling out Ross for what happened with Elizabeth. Just incredible. Yet still he supported his friend, as he always will. Luke was just sublime, wasn’t he?! Dwight’s care for not just Ross, but Demelza, was shown so perfectly tonight. So sensitively. And the culmination of the series long Carolight arc was rather lovely. I have no doubt that a Sophie Enys swiftly followed the conclusion of the series. They just happened to talk about it off screen.
CAROLINE. I have no words. I literally gasped when she brought up Keren, a little below the belt, no? Her uncertainty in asking to hold Loveday, her honesty when talking to Dwight afterwards. She’s a dream.
George. Warleggan. What an ending. I couldn’t have asked for better, truly. It was a nice turnaround for him, yet still allowed him to be true to himself. That final scene of him leaving Trenwith got me good.
Morwenna Carne is truly the great fictional love of my life (sorry Bilbo, you’ve been replaced!). The way she was comforting Geoffrey Charles at the beginning, her friendship with Rosina (and they way they’ve both been mature enough to move past what could’ve been real awkwardness over Drake - props to Debbie for that one, the alternative could’ve been an easy trap to fall into). Her bravery despite going into labour with only Rosina there (can you believe Demelza didn’t bring Dwight with her?? Leave Hanson, honestly!). She was so happy and truly thriving this episode. I am so unbelievably proud of her and will always love her with my entire heart. Ellise has done such a fabulous job.
Drake’s reaction to the birth was everything I could have ever hoped for. Kinda wish he’d had a scene with GC, since he’s been through such a similar *side eyes* situation, but I’ll take what I was given. Basically, he’s sunshine, and I’m so happy for him and Morwenna. And their little Loveday.
Sam. You’re an idiot, and don’t really deserve Rosina. But I won’t lie, Tom’s acting got me good when Rosina asked if they could be engaged again. What angels.
Rosina Hoblyn is an angel. Truly.
Kinda upset that Tess never got any sort of comeuppance. Still, having your heart broken, and by Ross Poldark has gotta suck.
ZACKY MARTIN I LOVE YOU.
I’m going to miss this so much. I’m still not ready to say good bye and never will be. These characters and this story have quite frankly saved me in so many ways. I will always love them and this story.
