can't believe tom hiddleston ACTUALLY interrupted the interviewer to say "one last thing, i think mobius is loki's friend and i don't think loki has ever had a friend before" like king. i love how u felt the need to add that truly

no but think about the Loki from Thor. from Avengers. the fact that he’s fighting for something good that he believes in means so much. the fact that he can sit there and say he just wants his friends back. these friends. the ones who see him for him. who don’t judge him. who he feels like he BELONGS with.
when has Loki ever felt like he belongs anywhere? he’s always been the outsider, the outcast, the villain. at the TVA he has felt appreciated and accepted. no one is singling him out or giving him a hard time for being himself. he FITS. he has come so so far. and shipping aside, the main reason for that is Mobius. someone who has seen every dark crevice of his life and his bad choices and his darkest moments and treated him with compassion and understanding.
the orphaned, abandoned, misunderstood villain has been able to write his own story because one ordinary man believed in him.

I just saw a photo of val kilmer and had to run to tumblr to express my thoughts because this photo gives me such icemav moving into their new house vibes and I can't explain it
Tumblr media
The domesticity. The warmth. Mav convincing ice to just stand still for a second or getting him to pose. The soft hair. The glasses. I'm losing my mind

Morpheus's wardrobe in the comics absolutely sends me. It's like ah yes, here we have him at home. He is in jeans and a tshirt. Now he's Going Out, so he has his flowy black robe and his gear etc., oh and let's not forget the cleavage, where'd his shirt go (?). Oh wait there it is. All the way unbuttoned. Now he's got a high-collared trenchcoat. And now a different robe, or maybe a cape. WAIT WHY'S HE IN A SUIT AND TIE--

So, for those who don't know, there is a phenomenon called Chemo Curls where, after your hair falls out due to the chemotherapy, sometimes when it grows back post-treatment, it will have a new significant curl pattern to it even if the patient didn't have curls before
What I'm saying is Iceman has curly hair once he beats cancer and also he has no idea how to handle it for the longest time (Sunny educates him on how to handle curl patterns even tho Sunny has much tighter curls, same principles apply)

we are not the same because you like villains (sad background story, secret inferiority complex, likeable traits, eventual redemption arc) and i like villains (evil, completely bad morals, zero likeable traits, complex personality)

if tom riddle wasn't lord voldemort and just some rando student 3 years above harry at hogwarts... harry would be SO down bad it would genuinely be EMBARRASSING.
like... you cannot tell me that harry james potter, who still describes tom as handsome after learning that he eventually becomes the man who killed his parents, wouldn't try so hard to get tom's attention.
and harry'd be so taken with the way tom is so nice to everyone all the time...*cough* cedric *cough* and he'd be obsessed with the way tom is so smart (smarter than hermione) minus the nagging and self-righteousness, which just makes tom even more likeable.
harry would be so satisfied when tom seems to dislike draco, too. but he'd be jealous of the attention tom seems to give the blacks and lestranges.*
and even though harry can't speak to snakes he'd be smitten with the way tom does. LIKEEE
if anyone is grovelling and pining in tomarry, it's harry, who is just horrendously down bad, like you are not convincing anyone otherwise.
*: assuming in a world without voldemort, rodolphus, regulus and sirius have children

Y'all practical effects bitches are really sleeping on the Mission: Impossible movies.
"Oh everything is CGI these days!" Mission: Impossible uses practical effects whenever it's safe to do so, and their definition of safe is incredibly skewed because Tom Cruise is, frankly, batshit insane.
The man refuses to use stunt doubles because he insists the audience can tell when it's not him. He's apparently one of the best stunt drivers in the world. He drove up a cliff and skidded to a stop right on the edge for real in Dead Reckoning. He got a fucking helicopter license and spent like three years training for the climactic scene in Fallout.
Most of the helicopter chase in Fallout was real. The midair oxygen-tank swap in that movie was also real. They practiced for it in a wind tunnel and then did the real thing in freefall.
When Tom Cruise dies, it's either going to be because he realized Scientology was a crock and tried to get out and they fucking killed him (highly unlikely that he'll ever come to that realization), or because his luck finally ran out while filming a stunt for a Mission: Impossible movie (significantly more likely).
Seriously, if you have the blu-rays of any of these movies, I strongly encourage you to watch them with the director's commentaries. Especially the ones directed by Christopher McQuarrie. That man has an almost pathological distaste for CGI (and when they do have to use it, he's incredibly respectful and complimentary of the people who do the special effects).
Do yourself a favor and watch these movies. They're not just kitschy action flicks. They're kitschy action flicks with a metric fuckton of practical effects, and a production team that really cares about the stories they're crafting.

this picture is so boyfriend coded. like just imagine you randomly get a craving for fastfood at 1am in the morning and he takes you to the 24hr fastfood place near the hotel you were currently staying at, grumbling about how you were 'interrupting his beauty sleep' and since you were still tired, you fell asleep on the ride there so he has to order for you not that he minds he drives you both back home and you watch a movie together eating whatever he ordered for the both of you <33 i wish he was real.

before season 2 aired i thought we would never get our original Mobius back. I thought they were going to shove Sylki down our throats. i thought i was going to have to slough through a poorly written, unbearable season of tv just to get little crumbs of Loki and Mobius interacting.
but this. this far surpassed anything i could have hoped for. even if this story hadn’t been Loki’s i would have devoured it. it was clever and well thought out. it was well written with amazing sets and lighting and music. it played up strengths from season 1 that i thought for sure they had long abandoned. like the incredible and compelling setting that is the TVA. and making the cast an ensemble with the already stellar cast they had (and adding the instantly lovable O.B.). Tom was excellent. Owen was phenomenal. and every scene we got with them together was a gift.
the story was crafted with care and forethought and amazing attention to detail. you can’t say that about most big budget studio stories these days. i’m so in awe of everything this season was. it far surpassed season 1 for me and honored the legacy of Loki in a way i never could have dreamed. i honestly think it will go down as one of the most epic seasons of tv ever, for me.
it may have ended bittersweet, but it really didn’t feel like the end of Loki and Mobius’s story to me. it definitely feels like there’s more to tell. and i can’t wait.
