Note
I found your twilight post with the Lin Kuei brothers amusing and relatable 🤣
Can you do headcannons on watching marvel movies with the reader? Captain America is my favorite character in the movies lol
The MCU is huge so lmk if there was something specific you wanted to know about
Bi-Han
I don’t see any of them watching a lot of movies so you definitely introduced it to him
He takes the longest time to finish the movies because it’s not on the top of his list when it comes to concerns
He’s one of those overly critical watchers so he’s annoying as fuck to watch movies with
I can see him liking Ultron
Why? I think he’d like the concept of Ultron and understand why he’s thinking the way he is
The type to agree with Thanos until someone points out he could’ve just doubled the resources
His favorite Phase is Phase 3 purely because Hela is his favorite character in the entire MCU
He’s legit upset she was killed off
I’d say which show is his favorite but I only watched Wandavision and TFATWS so moving on-
I don’t know if I see him reading the comics. Maybe if he’s curious enough
The Avengers and The Guardians of The Galaxy are pinned against each other a lot, but what does he think?
I think it changes a lot. Depends on his mood
One thing’s for sure; he prefers the OG Avengers
Not one of those Marvel fans that remembers everything and he doesn’t really stay up to date
Hasn’t even watched any of the shows yet
Please bring Hela back and stop pissing him off. She ain’t do nothing wrong
Quick afterthought
He’s Team Cap
He don’t even wanna listen to Liu Kang. Why the fuck would he agree with the government controlling The Avengers?
Kuai Liang
NOT one of the overly critical watchers so thank fuck
If he spots something that’s off, he’ll call it out but that’s as bad as it gets
He likes a mix of villains and heroes
If the villains got a point, then they got a point. That’s just how it is.
He likes villains that can become better people. The pure evils ones he’s like “yeah you suck” but villains that are actually victims or who have done certain things but try to become better, he likes
Because of that I’d say his favorite villain is The Winter Soldier
He’s done terrible things but Kuai Liang feels pity for him and enjoys his story
I think either Avengers or Civil War is his favorite movie
He prefers the og era of the MCU and I think the Avengers as a whole reminds him of his family (petty as fuck towards each other but there’s ultimately love there) and Civil War was a banger
A situation where there’s technically not a right side is a topic I can see him liking
With that being said, he is both Team Cap and Team Ironman
Since he follows Liu Kang I can see him being like “sometimes teams need to be reined in and need someone to follow”
But in the same breath this is the same government that is corrupt and has proven themselves as not trustworthy
And people could always die before the heroes are able to help
Then there’s Bucky and he once again understands why Steve wouldn’t tell but he also understands Tony’s anger
He stays somewhat up to date when it comes to the new movies and shows
He knows when they come out but he doesn’t see them right away
Tomas
I can see him staying up to date and seeing the movies whenever he could
Has possibly read some comics too?
Prefers Heroes
Do I wanna say his favorite character is Spider-Man because the PS5 Spider-Man voices Tomas?
Yes
So that’s what imma do
Does he have a favorite Spider-Man?
I’m not sure. I can see him seeing the positives and negatives of all the Spidermen
Team Cap for the accords
Team Ironman for the Bucky situation
His parents were killed so are we surprised? No
The type to see the positives of Phase 4 instead of just saying it’s shit
Is it the best? No. But it’s not all ass. Damn.
He prefers the Guardians so when Gamora was killed, his heart was in SHAMBLES
“Maybe Gamora and Peter can fall in love again”
I have bad news
Favorite Phase is always changing. Each Phase has bangers and non bangers so it changes day to day
I know I said he loved all the Spidermen but his favorite movie is probably a Tobey Maguire Spider-Man movie
Do not tell him the Avengers are more like coworkers than family. Do not fuck up his day
He likes found family movies so he enjoys the movies that focus on the groups

Unsounded is an amazing comic with wonderful characters and dialogue. I have read it one and a half times now, and I think I have found satisfactory answers to a very important question. What are the characters' opinions on trans people?
Duane Adelier: I think he would be supportive of trans people if he met and talked to one. He would still need a bit more convincing to accept non-binary genders though, and he'd probably still be casually misogynistic.
Sette Frummagem: She would probably be supportive but would also make transphobic jokes occasionally, no matter what boundaries any individual trans people have set. I'd put the rest of the Frummagem family in this category, with varying degrees of disrespect, except from Anadyne, who i think would be just supportive, as she is not interested in petty bouts of one-ups-manship.
Mathis Quigley: I don't think he cares for trans people. But only because he is generally misanthropic, not because he is particularly bigoted. Nevertheless, I wouldn't expect any allyship from him.
Matty: He's a sweet baby boy. He would definitely be supportive.
Jivi: He would be supportive, but he would be prickly about it initially. Like he might get one's name or pronouns wrong and when they correct him he'd get mad, but I think that eventually he would get over it and be normal about it.
Emil Toma: There is a point where Mathis debates Duane's humanity but Emil is like "you say your name is Duane and I accept it and that's how I'll treat you". So I think he would be supportive of trans people. If a trans person committed crimes against the crescian queen, Emil would definitely use their correct name and pronouns as he arrested them.
Elka: She would be generally positive, but she would misgender a trans person she thinks did something bad.
Bastion Winalils: Supportive, but he may or may not be a chaser.
Queen Sonorie: Of course she is supportive of trans people. However, her plans as a politician do not include them, as she believes she has much more pressing matters to attend to.
General Bell: If Bell lived in the current real world he would be a youtuber that made videos about being an alpha male, so I'm pretty sure he would be a transphobe.
Cutter: Transphobic, but only because he hates everyone already.
Starfish: Transphobic. He would commit hate crimes.
Murkoph: Supportive. He would commit hate crimes.

Hi, hope you're doing well.
Yuzuriha fanarts and, of course, cosplays seem to have skyrocketed after the anime's release and while this had a positive effect on the series' popularity, I can't help but think many people are missing out on Yuzuriha's character. Plot (and fan service -_-) aside, looking at her character individually, she's a finely written character. We don't get to see many logical and pragmatic female characters who can hold their own and actually fight without being a burden in Japanese media. And I find her, for lack of a better word, "tough girl" act overall quite satisfying especially when her concealed feelings were revealed and explored towards the end of the manga. This made me want to read her part in the light novel, which I am planning to do soon. Anyway, I was wondering what you think of her and her relationship with the rest of the cast and her relevance to the plot.
Hi. Thanks for the ask, anon. I hope, you are doing well too.
General Opinion on Yuzuriha;
Tumblr media
And you explained really well. She is fine character but she is also used as fan service and comic relief a lot which is a shame so anyway, here's my general opinion on her and her relationships.
She is fine character;
Tumblr media
She is smart. She cooparates with others in a situtions that she cant survive on her own. This also means a lot of interesting interactions between different characters. She fight well and she is independent. We dont have much female characters, especially good ones so its nice that she is in the story as good character. She is pretty. She gives fan services but at least, she still has character. She is femme fatale, a pretty woman who seduces men for her own gain and drives them to dangerous situtions. Her fighting style also fits this side of her. She is funny so at least she gives comic relief to the series. Most characters are too serious so sometimes, it's fun to have a character who is chill.
As personality, she seems to similar to Toma at first sight. They both are mysterious, kinda sadistic, they always give a smile and pretend to be trustworthy only to usually betray for their own gains and they both has earth element etc but i think she is a lot similar to Chobei in a way she is independent, she is naughty girl who wants to do whathever she wants. She is pleasure person. She doesnt care about shame to survive. She lies and she is very social, this part of her is a lot like Chobe. Only difference is Chobei wants to be leader and dominates others while Yuzuriha usually prefers to play safe. She has her own agenda. She is also very realistic or negative like Gabimaru. They both are ninjas, after all.
Though her motivation as villain was explored more because it would make sense why Sagiri is so protective of her and she would actuall have an answer to Isuzu when she said 'think about her victims and their families'. And honestly she has a point.
She is Good Big Sister;
Tumblr media
The most interesting part of her for me is that she is actually good sister. She became ninja to gain money for her little sister. She risked her life for her many times and still tried to make her happy. And the reason she wants to live for long time isnt just because for herself. Its most likely a promise she made with her sister. And we only learn this when she is about to die, that story she told before is actually real. Jigokuraku is a story that explore humanity of criminals and Yuzuriha is one of them. She is not just bad guy for the sake of it. Her love for her sister and her motivation also gives depth to her character.
I think this wasnt mentioned enough because Chobe usually overshadow her as big brother but i think its different. I am just gonna say it. Chobei is crazy. His love with for Toma is crazy. Thats just him and Toma. Yuzuriha is good, great big sister actually and this should be talked more.
I am mentioning this because usually 'brocon/siscon' siblings love shine more but their love or obsessions is too much sometimes. So its sad to to see they overshadow just your usual loving big sister/brother. And thats very unfair.
Fake Death Scene;
Tumblr media
I think this really ruined her character and made it hard to take her seriously after that fake death scene. She has clearly 'last moments' scene which is perfect way to end her character but she suddenly comes out of nowhere. And not only her survival doesnt make sense, and also ruined the death scene but also, her staying in story did nothing for the plot. Whether that scene shouldnt have portrayed as death or she shouldve stayed death.
(Similar thing happenned with Chobe but it was obvious that he survived with the way Toma hold him nad problem isnt him surviving at that scene but it show it happens and the whole baby thing is ridicilous.)
At least, this couldve been good chance to explore Yuzuriha's humanity tooo, but her backstory wasnt explored the way Gabi and Chobei's story was. Not just Yuzuriha, Toma and many other characters too, wasnt explored much. Though, i think thats one of the main issues with Jigokuraku. (Another issue is it shouldve been more 'dont tell, show' thing). We didnt explore much even though there were so many different characters, different interactions, there wasnt much development. For example, it would be interesting plot if some point she betrayed the main group but eventually felt regret and came back to them maybe.
Sagiri and Yuzuriha;
Tumblr media
I think its fine ship but its full yuri fan service. My biggest issue with this is Yuzuriha suddenly flirt iwth Sagiri out of nowhere and at some point, Sagiri is okay? with it, also out of nowhere. If only we could explore why they suddenly attract towards each others (other than 'oh hot woman'). Like, why Yuzuriha suddenly likes her out of all people? Gabimaru also has idea of justice, just like Sagiri. She also has a fan, Senta who seems to admire her personality. And same with Sagiri too. She was so stubborn with her rules even against someone like Gabimaru who is victim but then she sayd 'you are not a villain' to Yuzuriha even though she doesnt know anything about her story.
Though logically you can guess Yuzuriha (also just like Toma) likes people who would do anything for her and protects her. There is a soft side to her. My only issue is that there is no development and their interaction seems out of nowhere. And also Sagiri always think about Gabimaru more than anything so its weird. But otherwise, i like fanarts. Their personality fits each others. Serious innocent girl x Chill naughty girl. Its very fun idea, but in canon story, i dont think its well explored.
Her Other Interactions;
Tumblr media
I feel like her love for Sagiri overshadow her other interactions. She was like a big sister to Nurugai and Mei. She was good ally to Gabimaru after some point. She even teased Toma. She gets to be taught by handsome teacher Shion, that was her request. There is also interesting parallels between her and Senta. Senta who is lying to himself btu honest to others and Yuzuriha who is only true to herself but lying to others. He views her as free and admires her but her hiding hearth from anyone isnt a good thing so i wish we explore more of this. Its a shame we didnt get more of it. Anyway she clearly likes them too.
Summary;
Tumblr media
I am not a big fan of her but i think she is fine character, her being good big sister should be talked more and i wish we get to explore her inner world and interactions more, same for other characters too.

hey there! I'm Sam (he/him), I'm 24 and I'm way too pretentious about absolute bullshit <3
Now running @dungeonbent, a Homestuck AU set in the world of Dungeon Meshi!
I also write for the webcomic Beasts Without Burden, drawn by the incredible @terra-toma! Set in a world of celestials where the comic itself is the magic system, it's about a cryptozoologist-turned-mock-hunter who may or may not have come back wrong after being eaten alive by a monster, the found family he makes and the secrets of his blood family that he grapples with along the way...
Read our comic on Tapas // On Webtoon!
I used to write a mix of Homestuck / JJBA fanfic on my main ao3 account jojotier, and I used to write a fair bit of Magnus Archives fanfic with a couple other buds under the collective ao3 sam_roulette, but it's been a bit since I've done that lmao. I'll stick some notable fics of mine below the read more.
I also do original fiction! Most of it is in snippets in my writing tag; whatever I post about my 120+ original project ideas is in my backburner projects tag.
As for my fics, you might know me from...
Understuck (105k) - The monstrous undertale/homestuck crossover fic I've been working on since I was 16, making this year my 7th year running! It'll be finished...! Eventually....
Emerald is Unbreakable (29k) - a series of p4 JotaKak oneshots set in an alternate Diamond is Unbreakable where Kakyoin survives the events of part 3! These remain some of my most popular jojo's fics, even though I haven't updated in a while... but maybe I should.....
and we'll meet again some sunny day (42k) - my post MAG-200 Magnus Archives fic that I posted on sam_roulette, wherein Martin gets pulled into a book and meets a monster in a tower, meanwhile human Annabelle Cane becomes Archivist Sasha's sole Archival Assistant...

ok finally one good update that you can put a read more on posts in the app like you don't need to see this yessss
anyway i watched la piscine and face to face yesterday bc i had a realization recently that when i was binge watching the romy filmography and during that i've read her biography it really made me lose all motivation to watch la piscine in particular so i skipped just that one and when i was doing the same w the gian maria filmography and read his bio also the same thing happened w face to face jsvshwnjs. and it was such a funny connection to make so i was like what if... i watched these after all, back to back, even though i still don't care about either films? like the line of thought was that bc of this experiment it would make the films at least a little bit interesting. like two negatives making a positive. well did the films turn out to be good? no they were fucking annoying i was right all along. was making myself watch two films that i was sure i would hate, funny? yes a bit.
although they varied a little like w face to face i knew it'd be a blatant didactic eye rolling moment and in the first place i didn't want to watch bc in the bio they say almost a comical amount of times how much he hated doing these westerns and i was like fine fine i won't watch any more of them then. on this note there's almost something sad about reading the letterboxd reviews calling this his best performance but what can you do. and well the film in question was not very good yes. rather annoying i would argue. the way it was put together was kind of sending me like the unbelievable dialogue, gian maria blue eyes moment (i was very hurt by that) tomas milian in an absurd wig leading the people out of the desert jshzvsubsjzjsjs uh purgatory city? random sex crazed underage girl who i think was supposed to be the mary magdalene of the group?gian maria fascist speech? him eating those weird little outfits up? so it had the potential to be trashy fun but it was too much of a mess that it became kind of a drag. but i won't lie looking back it's almost a fun film in its own bizarre way. in a sense a two star classic
but what was more enraging actually was la piscine bc i was expecting a lot of bad things (namely the presence of the lead actor in question hence my reason for not watching it before. like i really don't care to see them together. at least in christine there was jean claude brialy camping it up and in the assassination of... uh. there was richard burton also. camping it up. anyway.) but the final straw was not giving romy enough screen time like are we out of our minds. like yes the (barely existent) plot was annoying, the characters made no sense, the dialogue was verging on terrible, i only care about 2 people out of the 4 in here, but i suspected all that. and to think even in her limited screentime she tried her best and there is that confrontation at dinner scene where i was like yesss finally go give us everything queen but then we're back to alain delon staring at nothing with a nondescript expression. maurice ronet at least tried to do something, i like his performances and he had a good chemistry w romy in all their films. but people always have to hype up untalented people so tragic. and like it's literally miserable that this is one of romy's more famous roles like this is not all that she can give.... the people need to wake up. eh. also i really don't get why this film has so many remakes like what reason is there to watch besides the cast (ehhh) and the late 60s vibes. well one star for romy being cute but otherwise this was. torturous!
all in all wasn't really worth it that much but at least it reinforced in me what i already knew. and we must take all the little scraps of entertainment while we can i suppose. this was me to myself while watching these

LGBTQIA+ characters in DC Comics
These are characters who have first appeared or been revealed as LGBTQIA+ over the last year, or whom I’ve recently learned about or whom I hadn’t mentioned in previous posts of this type (though I may have featured them on my old blog). As usual, this list is highly arbitrary and incomplete.
(Yeah, I know DC Comics isn’t the only game in town, but for the time being it’s the only one I regularly read, so…)
Obsidian (Todd Rice) [he/him; gay]
Porcelain (Kani/Kevin) [they/them; bi, genderfluid]
the Question (Renee Montoya) [she/her; lesbian]
the Ray (Raymond “Ray” Terrill) [he/him; gay]
Sarah Rainmaker [she/her; lesbian]
Scandal Savage [she/her; lesbian]
Starman (Mikaal Tomas) [he/him; bi]
Steel (Natasha Irons) [she/her; lesbian] & Traci 13 [she/her; bi]
Stitch [they/them; non-binary]
Continuing the tradition from my old blog (which has been unceremoniously deleted by tumblr without much of an explanation why) I’m doing daily posts during June to celebrate LGBTQIA+ pride by showcasing openly LGBTQIA+ celebrities and various content about or created by LGBTQIA+ people such as music videos, characters on TV shows, movie trailers, …

A Pretentious Bitch's Review of Magician: Apprentice by Raymond E. Feist
Tumblr media
Rating: 65/100
Summary: A tropey high fantasy journey through a DND-esque, LOTOR-adjacent fantasy world.
I have actually read this book before, as a kid. I don't remember how old I was at the time, but I was much newer to fantasy and much less critical. I remember liking this book pretty well, but getting bored after the first sequel, and honestly that's an assessment I kind of stand by as an adult. Be warned, my review contains spoilers.
Plot: The central plot of the story is an invasion of the fantasy world of Midkemia by another world through "rift portals" by an empire known as the Tsurani. The majority of the story centers around the journey that the central party makes to the capitol in order to ask the king for aid in repelling the invaders, with a pivot towards the end to being about the warfare between the main characters and the invaders. It's also a coming of age for the main character, Pug, who, through several time skips, changes and develops. At the beginning I thought that the story was going to revolve around Pug's development as a magician, since he starts the story a poor magician, then has an incident where he accidentally uses magic to save the princess. Then he proceeds to never use magic again or really learn anything more about magic.
Some aspects of the plot are straight out of Lord of the Rings, especially the sequence where the party goes down into dangerous old unused Dwarven mines in order to pass under the mountains, where they face a dangerous enemy and are forced to leave one of their party behind. Also speaking of that incident, the author set up some tension where Pug was meant to believe that Tomas was lost, then immediately undercut it by showing the reader in the very next chapter that Tomas was alive. Additionally, Pug's reaction to finding out later on that Tomas was alive was never shown.
The early portions of the book that take place at the castle are enjoyable, and so is the journey that the main party makes. However, the war scenes at the end of the book become dull quickly, and I felt bogged down while reading them. The broadening of the story and the loss of connection with Pug and Kulgan, my two favorite characters, bored me.
Prose Quality: Nothing spectacular. It's fairly serviceable fantasy prose, with some decent scenery descriptions, a tendency towards the simplistic, and some moments of hilariously bad writing that I feel any competent editor should have noticed. A standout illustration is "waving aside Tully's comments with a dismissive wave." The author, when he choses to foreshadow something, is also typically VERY heavy-handed with it.
**Characters: **I enjoy Kulgan (the magician) quite a lot, along with Tully, the priest. In my note as I was writing I kept writing "I love Kulgan" over and over again. I'm decently fond of Pug as a character, and I don't mind Tomas. Every single other character I could quite frankly take or leave.
I will also use the space to talk about the names. The names are SO funny, in that way that names in older works of fantasy tend to be. They range from extremely common real world names to comical fantasy names. The great wizard is named Marcos. The main character is named Pug. The king is named Rodric.
I also commend the author for his willingness to let his male characters cry and be immature. Pug is, at the start of the story, a very young man, and he acts like it for the vast majority of the book, in a way that is endearing rather than insufferable. He also cries, over his friend Tomas when he is lost in the mine, and over several other things throughout the story.
Worldbuilding: The worldbuilding, especially when it comes to magic, has some genuinely interesting bits, and I was enjoying the segments with Tomas' armor that he gets from the dragon that he finds in the mine as well (although of course some of the concepts there, especially the idea of a long dead civilization that had control over the dragons, is done to death [although to be fair it likely wasn't done to death at the time of publication]). The worldbuilding on elves, dwarves, and the kingdom in general is pretty typical stuff. This book was based on the author's dungeons and dragons game and it shows. I will say that the medieval aspect of medieval fantasy is REALLY well-handled in this book. Travel times seem relatively realistic, they use carrier pigeons for messages traveling long distances, the characters typically wear tunics and leggings, which, can I just say that most fantasy series don't have the balls to put their characters in leggings, and most of the clothes of the nobility are in garishly bright colors by modern standards, which is, once again, realistic. There is a lot of death in the course of battles, although all deaths are nameless soldiers, no named characters die. (Once again, this is the author's Dungeons and Dragons campaign). There is some genuinely interesting political stuff that pops up midway through the book, with suggestions that in order to repel the invasion the characters involved may have to commit treason, but nothing comes of it.
Action Sequences: Most of the action sequences don't feel very tense. The style is, in my opinion, a bit dry, and especially some of the later scenes while the war is ongoing felt a bit dry and were a slog to get through. Additionally, they felt as though they had very little stakes. All the combat was quite bloody (in a very early sequence in the forest with the Dark Brotherhood [Drow], the party loses more than half of the soldiers they were traveling with) but no named characters ever died, and any time the fate of a main character was in question, that character's fate was IMMEDIATELY shown to leave the reader in no doubt of their survival, which cuts any tension rather brutally.
Romance: Worse than Sanderson by a long shot. And Sanderson's got the excuse of being Mormon! I will give this book that it no longer appears that Carline (the princess) will be getting with Pug at the end of the story.
Female Characters: Carline is the only notable woman in the entire book. She is pretty cool to be honest and has a couple of good moments, but we only see Carline from her own perspective towards the end of the book. I hate her plotline with Roland, like so much, but I'm glad she got her chance to do some fighting towards the end. At about halfway through the book I found myself really missing the presence of women.
Gay?: Nope. Laughed a lot at the use of the term "glory hole" in a mining context though.
Racism?: I'm hesitant to be critical of the book on this front because I don't necessarily think holding a piece of 80s fantasy to a modern standard is a particularly useful activity, especially when there are MUCH worse books in the genre than this one, but I feel the need to put this out there: The Tsurani are pretty clearly Asian-coded. It's a bit sketchy.
Was It Worth It?: I got this book for a dollar at Goodwill, so I'd say I got my money's worth, and the hardback will look nice on my shelf so there's that. As for the time cost... I'd say yeah, I got a kick out of revisiting the early scenes of the book.
Will I Continue The Series?: This book is the first in a VERY long series. I have the hardback copy that contains both Magician: Apprentice and Magician: Master so I probably will read Magician: Master eventually, just because I have it already. As for the rest of the series after that, I'm going to say no.
Final Verdict: It's a bit derivative and a bit dated and a bit slow. I suspect that although I was once, I no longer am the target audience. Here's to hoping the rest of my 2024 reads score higher.

MK: Andromeda short fics!
Yeah so sometimes I feel like writing bits and pieces of this fic before I get to the main chapters and decided to post it here whenever I have the urge to hehe hope you enjoy reading whatever my brain came up with lol
This one is with Rain, our purple ninja demi god who is very comical and different from your usual Rain.
Rain’s flirting 1
Tumblr media
Everything is like how their ordinary day goes by, Krysta is sitting at her table and buried her head reading the spell book. Rain, like the other links finds delight watching her facial expressions as she tries to understand the contents of the book that only she sees. She sometimes bites the top tip of her pen as a mannerism and for some reasons it turns him on. Not only that, everything she does or even her voice, her soft breaths and her scent every time she walks by sends his senses wild.
“I cannot hold back any longer just watching her…” Rain said and stood up from the sofa and approached the busy maiden’s table. He places his arms on the table hounding over her. She noticed him and lifted her gaze to his face. “You need something, Rain?” she asked. “I need you, baby.” he said and flashed his smile at her, awaiting a response. Krysta sighed, closed the book an placed it down. “I’m not entirely sure what you mean but okay I’ll humor you today” she said as she stands up and walked to the side of the table where he is standing. She knew it is one of those days again and she has already built up tolerance to his flirting. She also knew that it’s one of her tasks to interact with her links so she is trying her best. If she can be honest, she is mostly wary of Rain because he is a demi-god and has a superiority complex as he is the strongest one so pissing him off is one of the things she wants to avoid at all cost.
Krysta was lost in her thoughts and got a bit startled as he lifted her up to have her sit on the table and he placed his arms on both of her sides like he is caging her in his arms. Rain leaned closer and her immediate response is to lean backwards. Rain laughed at her reaction, he held her chin and stared at her eye to eye. “Relax, baby. I just want to smell your hair. Can I?”
Krysta raised one eyebrow, feeling skeptical with his request but since she didn’t feel any ill intentions from his link, she slowly leaned her head on his shoulders. He immediately caught a whiff of her sweet strawberry scent shampoo and he felt mixed emotions rumbling inside him. Rain couldn’t resist the urge to touch her wavy hair and placed it near his nose. “God she smells so nice I want to eat her like my favorite dessert” his thoughts was flooded with his desires that turned from innocent to wild in a snap and he felt his raging hormones will be taking over him anytime soon so he gently pushed her away and teleported off like a water vapor he is.
Krysta was confused by his actions and tilted her head a bit, wondering why he suddenly left. She felt a rise on his temperature when he touched her shoulders and he is somewhat flustered before he left. “It’s really hard to understand men sometimes” she whispered and went back to reading.
A/N:
(The links normally watches and is wary of Rain’s actions but as long as there’s no distress signal from the maiden, they remain on stand-by and just stares intently, looking out for any perverted actions but this time, even they were surprised he retreated like that. Good for him because he wouldn’t like it if the other *jealous and overprotective* links will have a go at him on a whim lol)
Shout out to my co-author @huepazu who always tells me to post my shits here (I still haven’t posted those of Tomas and Hotaru hehe 😅 she said it was all good but I’m not confident of my writings yet. Tomas’ was funny kinda frustrating trope while Hotaru’s was nsfw)

Turns out working 11-12 hours a day for two weeks straight effectively wiped all witty thoughts from my head (if I ever had some), but I’ll do my best to remember my November books. /3
15 Tage sind für immer (Here the whole time) (Vitor Martins): This one was unexpectedly nice. It basically made me smile nonstop throughout which was a good thing as I was reading it mostly at my artist alley table at Comic Con Stuttgart and you like to buy stuff from smiling people, right? 8D Felipe's mom is kinda the best. Also the German translation by Svantje Volkens was really good to read. Darius the Great is not okay (Adib Khorram): As the eternal advocate for friendship stories this one took me by surprise! I'm so not used to getting actual ones whithout romance. xD It was appreciated though. I also finally got the pop culture references! Usually I never notice or understand them because I never read or watch what's popular right now but just like Darius I grew up on Star Trek (especially The Next Generation). That was so nice~ But! I'm not sure if I would have enjoyed all the references that much if I didn't know the series. Because they were everywhere. Like take them out and there would be no book left. It was nice to learn about Iran and read about family and connections and stuff. There was also a lot of tea. I like tea. Darius the Great deserves better (Adib Khorram): I don't remember this very well. I didn't like it as much as its prequel but I'm pretty sure that was because of the suffering. Darius is having a hard time thoughout the book and that gave me a hard time, too. Not frustrating though at least. It handled that pretty well. More like a good message you have to work for? Bone Weaver (Aden Polydoros): This should be a fantasy book right up my alley. I realised, however, I'm so much more critical of female protagonists. "8D Toma did well though. Most of the time. I wish she wouldn't have fallen for Vanya (my heroines do not need any love stories thank you) but I have to give her credit for not falling for the first male person she meets (Mikhail), only for the second! And in all honesty, even though I might whine that it would have been better with Vanya x Mikhail, it would not. Because Mikhail lost Alexei (with or at least for whom he had a thing) within the first five pages of the book and having him move on within in three days ... errr The No. Well. I did enjoy the setting, the lore. And gawd I wasn't aware how much I love nicknames? Not "babe" or "sweetheart" etc but real names. Russian names provide so well in that department. Vanya was like "Hey, I'm Ivan but everyone calls me Vanya!" And everyone does! And then, 5 seconds later Mikhail goes "Ivan!" and I'm squealing because you know that at some point in the near future he will reluctantly come to like Vanya and will switch to the nickname as well and it will glorius. orz Anyway. I enjoyed the book but two things: The suffering. The physical pain. I read Mr. Polydoros' other books as well (The City Beautiful and the Assasin Fall duo) and in both the protagonists spend a lot of time in pain. Bone Weaver is no exception. It may not be "a long time" in here, but these guys are pretty broken up it's not funny. Second thing: I wish it would have been third-person instead of Toma's perspective only. I would have loved to learn more about Mikhail. What was his relationship with Koschei before? Will he be okay even when his people find out he has no more magic? The conversations, the bonding between him and Vanya. Gimme more! D: All for the Game series (Nora Sakavic): And finally this. This. I had a lot of words once but I'm reigning myself in. It was good. It was a lot of fun. I read The Foxhole Court back in September and then The Raven King in November and after I finished TRK, I went back to reread TFC ... I didn't want it to be over so soon. /D (And also my memory is shit and I read TFC while at airports, on planes and with my friends chatting next to me, so ... my excuses) I'm glad I read it only now instead of last year when I saw it the first time. (I'm a much more tolerant reader now.) But then, everything I like about the books are things I like in general: good characters, dialogues, self-references that make you leaf back or make you go "aaah" while rereading, and rewards after a long struggle. Gawd. For a hot second while reading TRK I got afraid that everything tumblr fandom teased me with might just be fan stuff instead of canon and I already felt the betrayal. 8D Then I remembered I already read the blurb for The King's Men and it was all there. Phew! Not that I read the books for the romance only. But it was so mind-boggling to know where Neil and Andrew end up when in the beginning they can't spend like two peaceful seconds with each other. So the journey was incredibly intruiging and fun. Haah. (Bonus fun: There were AFTG cosplayers at Comic Con. I only saw a flash of orange in front of my table and was like “Huh, it’s just Haikyuu” but I still took another look and there it was “Palmetto State University”! Of course I embarrassed myself in guessing the characters wrong, but it was still nice. 8D) To ease my AFTG hangover I went back to rewatching anime. I found the perfect little sibling: bad parents, abuse, anger issues, (kinda) gay, more queer kids, estranged childhood friends, boys obsessed with stupid sports, protagonist with an attitude problem and a bad mouth. I present: Stars Align! (Yes, that stupid series which ended on the worst cliffhanger and never got its second part!!! D:<) Speaking of anime, now that the worst of the christmas crunch is over and I'm having time again to actually enjoy stuff I should get back to finishing Yuri on Ice ... and ... Chainsaw Man. xD
