F.R.I.D.A.Y: Boss, the last time you slept was a two hour nap three days ago. I think you should rest a bit.

Tony: I'm fine Fri.

Peter:

Peter: 3 days?! And you were mad I didn't get 8 hours last night?

Tony: Well see, I-

Peter: Friday please inform Ms. Potts.

Tony: Fri don't

F.R.I.D.A.Y: Informed.

Tony: shit

Pairing: Peter Parker x Teen Male Reader

Genre: Angst and Fluff

Y/N knocked on the door of his friend Peter's apartment. Soft footsteps were heard from the otherside and the locks clicked open. Instead of expecting May to open the door, Y/N's eyes widened upon seeing a puffy eyed Peter.

"Pete? Are you okay? What happened?" He immediately became worried because the Peter he hung out with at school never cried. Ever.

Peter's lower lip trembled and his eyes filled with tears again. "Pete?!" Y/N said, hugging him tightly. Peter hugged back even tighter. The two stood in the doorway for a little bit as Y/N just whispered words of comfort and rocked ever so slightly. "You wanna sit down, Petey?" You whispered, pulling back slightly. "I can make you some food if you want?"

He sniffled and nodded. "Sure.." He muttered, pulling out of the hug. "Alright, Pete. C'mon. I'll try, and possibly fail, to make some soup without burning it in the microwave." Y/N sighed, remembering when he burnt soup.

"I still dont know how you did that." Peter shook his head slightly. "If you dont know how I did that, then you'll be even more confused as to how I burnt cereal." Y/N said, pulling a large can of Chicken Noodle soup from the cabinet.

Y/N turned to see a bewildered look on his friends face. "You are going to starve when you get into College." Peter sighed. "How dare you, Petey." Y/N grinned.

They didnt speak until the microwave dinged. And even then, they didnt speak. Not until the bowl was empty.

"Pete.. What's wrong?" Y/N said quietly, kneeling in front of his friend. Silence fell over the two. Peter lowered his head, trying to avoid his friends eyes.

"Mr. Stark died." He whispered, his eyes filling with tears again. Y/N's eyes widened and he grabbed Peter's hands gently. "Oh no.."

He knew how important Tony Stark was to Peter. He knew how Peter idolized him. Y/N hugged him and let his friend cry. "It'll be okay, Pete. It'll be alright." He whispered.

They sat on Peter's bed and cuddled until they both fell asleep curled in each others embrace.

"Fuck yeah. Happy owes me 30 bucks." May quietly celebrated when she got home.

my other thought for today is that i know there's this predisposed fixation on all the bats being Freaks™ but in my mind there are only three that are certifiably freaky on the inhuman scale

cass is the obvious, borderline inhuman combatant freak. the body is a language that she and only one other person truly speaks. she can win against any human on earth, and sees herself in every killer. she makes me crazy. imagine being the world's greatest killing machine and literally taking a life for the first time and reading that pain in the body. that's crazy. 10/10

babs is the actual mega-genius freak in gotham. there's no competition. she's out-hacked brainiac. her online persona has an almost physical presence. she got a law degree in her spare time. her ability to process information is almost unparralled, even among superhumans, and her vast swath of allies just makes her more dangerous. toxic girlboss freak behaviours

dick grayson is a trigonometry and spacial awareness freak. this is probably the more controversial take but i do think that based on his feats and abilities his ability to calculate how to land and where to fall isn't comparable to anyone else. he was an acrobatic prodigy by the time he was four. he jumps off buildings and out of planes with no gear for a good time. he can fold himself up like a pretzel and crawl into the batcave through a hole in the ground. freak!

bruce is an honorary fourth freak but just because he's Like That
