I am SCREAMING at this Fig/Ayda flirting/kissing scene!! Bless the rest of the cast, especially Lou for accurately representing myself and probably literally everyone else watching this happen. 10/10 moment from the actual story and Fig being a disaster who kisses and tries to skateboard away, to the bonkers rager going on in the house, to Lou and everyone losing their shit about the whole thing. OK......So......I don't know if it's just me I assume not but.....here's a little bit about me. I dress in full vintage fashion. No joke, I dress from the 50s-70s fashion and I LOVE IT!! I don't care what people think. I mean I do makeup and hair from this era too. Like it's FULL ON AUTHENTIC! Of course with my little spin but I have to thank Elvis for this. I never knew my fashion style but he helped me find it through the years I've loved him. However the point is.....I dress how he told the women he liked them to dress. Now I'm a brunette and have hazel eyes and I read somewhere I think it was Mindi Miller, she said that "if you were brunette and had dark eyes Elvis had a very specific makeup look for you." in order to look more like his mum and this involved dark eye makeup too.

So ever since I've loved Elvis right from the beginning I've been acting and dressing like he wanted the girls to act (While also being me don't worry!) I don't know if this is bad or not😭😭. Moving on we all know he didn't like women to have chipped nail polish and I've found myself re-painting my nails if they're even SLIGHTLY chipped. I'm always having my hair and makeup done, and am always dressed in fashion I think he would have picked for me. Because I'm more petite (5'1") I remember he told Priscilla(just under 5'4") that because she's petite she should avoid large patterns and go for patterns around the size of her fist. So I keep to this.

Also funny story. One time Mindi Miller was in the bathroom in the shower, Elvis had gotten up before her (they were on tour) so he was up early getting ready and Mindi heard a knock on the door. It was Red West yelling through to her that Elvis was hungry and wanted to eat but was waiting for her (he never ate before his women) So he told her to "wrap her hair up in a towel and put a bathrobe on" basically. So she did and walked out to the dining table where Elvis was waiting he told her to hurry up because the eggs were getting cold (jokingly) then when she sat down and gave him a kiss on his cheek. He then wagged his finger and said "Honey, come here a minute" so she did and he said very quietly, gently and politely so the 'guys' didn't hear "Honey, you look real pretty, and you have natural beauty.....but don't ever come to the breakfast table without your makeup on and your hair done." I found this so funny and it's only later that Mindi found out that women from the south never came to the table without their hair and makeup done. Hence why he thought this way. He was brought up knowing this. I just found it so cute. I love Mindi, definitely check out their relationship it's cute!! And the way they met is also CUTE! They were together about 75-76 or 77.💗💗💗

Anyway so......I don't know if people can relate but I live my life like he's here 🤣🤣😭

my prof just explained on the syllabus that he’s included more points in the class than we needed to pass, so we could skip up like?? 20 small assignments/quizzes/participation!! and still get a very high grade!!

the idea was that we could focus on assignments that played to our strengths - only do the participation stuff if we like to talk out loud - only do the quizzes/readings if we want to do the class remotely - only do online discussions if we like to talk and share opinions but struggle with anxiety in class ect.

and that’s cool enough but then he pulled up DnD character sheets with drawings he’d done of these hypothetical student player classes and how our various accessibility needs could be gamified to ‘max out’ different aspects of the class to get high grades and like!!!!!

hell yeah!!!! let’s treat accessibility in higher education not just as a necessity but as the fun, engaging, and creative aspect of learning that it is!!! I love this!!
