After a while without uploading new things (taking advantage of the fact that we are still celebrating #MerMay and with the live-action version of The Little Mermaid about to be released) I share this pencil test tribute to Ariel, another Disney character I always wanted to animate, that she has just found a “snarfblatt” at the bottom of the sea.
It was a super interesting experience giving life to a character who is always moving fluidly and energetically underwater. Perhaps the most challenging thing has been keeping her shapes well drawn throughout the scene. I hope that, as with Simba, I have captured the essence of her.

Mixed Signals Movie Thumbnail
Hi everyone!
Not a major update to the film, really. Just wanted to show off the thumbnail for when I *eventually * upload the film to Youtube for all to see whenever they want (not before doing a film festival run with it though).The film has MINISCULE adjustments to be made before I call it finished and I cannot wait for everyone to see it. Still taking art requests from those who donated $100 or higher to the Associate Producer tier on Kickstarter. Just email at at [email protected] if you have a request. After a couple of years of not practicing acting, I felt the need to do an exercise to avoid stagnating and continue improving my skills as an artist. I found this dialogue on a website and I decided to animate a villain from the 20s in the classic Disney style. The working time in this animation test was 4 hours a day, for almost 30 days. Animation isn't easy, but the result is very rewarding...!

Season three of Lego Monkie Kid was a blast to work on! I had the opportunity to lead the character layout team, which involved helping to train the new CharLay artists and giving notes on shots, as well as working on some shots of my own here and there. It was great to get to chat with the team, and I learned a tonne! Big thanks to our Animation Director Christian, and the production and animation supervision teams for giving me the opportunity, and to the CharLay team for being so cool to work with.
