I was going to sleep... but the idea crossed my mind that if Aang and Katara will change gender (Aang girl and Katara boy).

Zukaang and Katoph would have been better received and there would have been more content from both ships.

Modern high school au in which there’s a dance coming up and Toph insists she isn’t going because its all about mushy romance OR she will go but only for the food and just stand by. A part of her doesn’t care to dress up mainly because of her upbringing and her lack of careness. However a part of her feels insecure at the prospect of dressing up and looking nice and therefore, doesn’t really give it much of a try. Katara insists she can help her out and go for a makeover and spa treatment, alongside shopping for an outfit Toph can be comfortable with. Toph is dubious of the concept, but allows her friend to do it because—well Katara is her friend and she really couldn’t say no to her.

Queue a whole makeover, makeover montage with the girls having a blast getting ready for the dance and Toph couldn’t help but admit that not only did she had a fun time with Katara, but now she feels somewhat excited for her outfit. Though of course, she has to play it cool as she thanks her friend.

While they head home, Katara dreams on about the dance and asks Toph if she thinks anyone is going to ask her out to the dance. Toph dismisses and says that she really isn’t all that interested in that romantic mush. In reality, Toph questions as to who would want to ask her out. Katara seems a bit dejected but nevertheless—very hopeful for her.

When the day of the dance arrives and during the most lovey-dovey part of the whole evening comes around, Toph sits to the side alone. She had her whole get up—a make over she did all by herself and an outfit she genuinely liked and picked out—merely sitting back and listening as the sickeningly cheesy slow dance love song plays out. As she sits there, she was the. immediately met with the very person who helped her out and brought her there tonight.

Katara sits beside her and asks if she’s alright. Toph shrugs and insists that she is. The earthbender then asks her friend why she wasn’t on the dance floor to which Katara replies that she hasn’t really asked out who her person yet.

Surprised by this, Toph encourages her to do it now before it was too late. Katara remained hesitance and said that she wasn’t sure. Toph nudges her and chuckles fondly—saying to go for it.

After a few nudges and shouts of encouragement, Katara finally gave in and gets up.

What happened next both shocked and flustered the earthbender:

A single question was on Katara’s mind as she asks Toph, in the most cheesiest, cliche way Toph could ever imagine it being:

“Lady Beifong, may have this dance?”

Katara, Sokka, and Aang all blink in sync.

While Katara pulls Toph in, she is saying, “What do you say, Toph? Just me and you. One last go. You in?” Toph has an excited smile on her face, nodding as she speaks. Toph exclaims, “You know I’m in!”

Aang is objectively the best male character in the franchise and the reason he gets so much hate is because of the violent racism against asians who aren't japanese,korean or chinese and therefore not 'aesthetic' or 'dream s/os'

Katara is neither a mom friend nor a snooty perfect prep nor a homohobic cishet girl.She's a victim of adultification and parentification,an autistic trans bisexy queen who likes her girls masc and her guys fem(Toph and Aang)and the definition of 'teenage anarchist' who only gets called a conformist because people erase her activism and direct action because she's a punk femme instead of a male edgelord and they think girls can only be rebels if it's to cater to men

Sokka is not stupid but a goofy goober and is the smartest character in the whole show and the only reason he gets called a himbo is tropeified racism.Also he owes Katara money for his treatment of her be so fr,he was a misogynist until he was 15 and she had to deal with him

Toph is a transmasc girl as seen by her getting overjoyed at her Ember Island Players sounding like a guy and it is SO unserious to pit her and Katara against eachother over Aang like they wouldn't all be a happy sapphic polycule(Aang is genderfluid tyvm)

While not her fault,Suki is easily the blandest Atla girl by a longshot and her popularity coming from Katara haters screams colorism from the Ba Sing Se rooftops.Also Zukki is not very good polyam rep unless it's tgirl Zuko,i could not care less about an mlm couple that stands on it's own with a girl slapped on but not really being part of the dynamic,MAKE HER A GIRLKISSER ABOUT IT!!!!

'Zuko was never evil' is factually incorrect and a very liberal take because it absolves him of responsibility that HE was the first person to hold himself accountable for by growing the fuck up and unlearning propaganda and giving the people he had privilege over reperations and it's not the writers fault y'all are fence sitters because of some dumbass crush over a guy who'd never even look in your general direction since you infantalize the shit out of him

And not technically Gaang members but they are in my heart so they get bonuses:Jet was more right than any yt boy you thirst after,Azula being so sexualized in canon is a result of the fetishization of underaged east asian girls,Mai is a lil angel compared to Zuko and you only demonize her because you can't accept unconventional women and Ty Lee is highly underrated and the best non-mc on the show-Autistic tgirl swag methinks

When Katara gave her necklace to Toph. Toph was acting like it was no big deal.

But seeing her out of the corner of her eye, she noticed that Toph occasionally touched her neck to verify that she had the necklace on, and smiled when she did.

Thank u J!!!💖💖💖And hmmm,i think Annabeth fits Toph!They're both brash tomboys,had a bad relathionship with at least one of their parents and have a dynamic with one of their closest friend's where they show their affection with teasing nicknames(i hate the Perc*beth nicknames but i'll take the lesbian Toph crumbs whenever i can get them).

For Frank,i'd say he's an introverted version of Aang!Both of them dislike fighting,are huge sweethearts but still realistically not all sweetness and have a destiny that they fear placed upon them(Frank's stick and Aang being the Avatar).This next one might be too on the nose but Hazel is Katara imo!They're both 14 during the main series(Rick didn't let Hazel age for some reason but realistically she should be),have gone through the trauma of their mom dying because of supernatural circumstances that had to with their powers,are girly girl's who wish they could indulge in girly things more but can't because of a war going on and are very kind and caring but also take no shit and are one of the strongest characters in their series!
