Pride and joy! Look at my pretty girl! 🥰🎃👻 Ruby has always been the oddball, due to her eyes. She’s the epitome of Halloween, in my book.

Miss Catarina is so pretty and such a sweet, sweet girl. She doesn’t know the meaning of “tortitude”.

hi back again with a quick question! so, i have a seal point kitten with some white spotting, but it doesn't seem to follow any sort of patterning like tuxedo. her mom is a tortie, but we don't know what she carries, and her dad is an unknown alley cat. surprisingly, the only alley cats we know of in our area are black, besides one maybe-tortie and one orange tabby with white spotting. we cant really tell if it's really brindled, because her colouring is extremely confined to the points of her body, even if it appears slightly so. do you think its more likely that shes tortoiseshell or white spotted?
I think you should wait a little, and see how the kitten develops. As she grows, the colored points will darken and spread, and you'll be able to see her true colors better. (Literally - red usually comes in later in pointed cats, so if she's a tortie, chances that you'll see some red on her as she matures.)
(This cat is a tortie with white (look at her white paws), that's why it has distinct patches of color and not brindling.)
From what you wrote, both white spotting and tortie is possible (even if the mother doesn't have any white it could come from the father; and tortie mother can have tortie daughter in any pairing). Both of these phenotypes are very variable, and unusual, unique variations aren't rare among them.
Wait and see.
