okay but the bracelet touch scene in 3x04 like- i will never not be in awe of it. its so so well acted, kiara's expression when he walks away instead of kissing her. JJ's split second slip of the mask after kiara yells, 'i do care.' (yk the one). the fact that JJ is so insistent on saying that it wont work, the fact that his whole monologue could just as easily be him convincing himself that it'll never work. convincing himself that he could never be a part of kiara's future. and kiara saying 'that's not my fault,' after JJ mentions her parents. like in a way its both their parents that are holding them back. and lastly kiara's little 'I'll help,' is about when i left the world of the living. the way her voice breaks just - there's so much emotion.

If you haven’t read WizardoftheRainbow’s weblena fic, What You'll Find In The Night, please do. This wonderful story resonated with my soul on many very personal levels, not the least of which was the astronomical aspect of it, which spurred me on to draw this post-fic picture as a tribute, which turned out to be one of my most favorite things I’ve ever drawn. Really wanted to capture the splendor and happiness of the night sky, as the stellar jewel box the fic mentions, and of the love between these two love birds.

Anyway, the fic is fantastic, it’s cozy, it’s perfect. 💜✨

P.S. If you want to also listen to a perfect weblena (and also dellumbra) song, I recommend “Satellite” by Lena (yes, that’s really the artist’s name!). I listened to it soooo many times while drawing this!

What is it about two barely acquainted opposing characters interacting together in an intimate space whilst airing their grievances that creates such perfect ambience for shipping. Namor and Shuri just sitting in that cave talking about personal matters and Rey and Kylo from TLJ talking about their loneliness around the fire are literally cut from the same cloth. Both created such strong fandoms. You know what, I think every movie/show that has a pairing should just follow this template.
