My favorite example of going into a movie blind is when I showed my future husband Touch of Evil in college. He was a big fan of House MD at the time, and when we met Detective Hank Quinlan, a grouchy, cane-using expert who didn't care about anyone's feelings but damn it he got results, he thought this was going to be a good guy.

It was very enlightening to watch him realize over the first act that he was not going to be a good guy.
