Phantom HC ⚡
(tw: mention and description of tics and related injuries)
Phantom has a tic disorder. It's quite unnoticeable to everyone else but he definitely notices when he's ticcing. He has a lot of minor face tics so if people do see him tic, they mistake it for him pulling weird faces/being extremely expressive. The only people who know about his disorder are Copia and Aether. Aether sensed it and also checked him up when he first noticed, and Copia knows because it had to be written in Phantom's file. Occasionally, Phantom has vocal tics that are louder/more obvious than throat clearing and clicking but the pack seems to think his generic ghoul noises are a bit more different than everyone else's. His tics get significantly worse when he's stressed, tired, or excited. If he feels bigger tics or a tic attack coming on, he retreats to his room and calls for Aether to sit with him and tend to any injuries he receives if he's been punching. He usually takes a day off after a tic attack but people know Phantom likes a good long nap now and again so don't think much of it. Phantom doesn't want to tell anyone else in case they become concerned about him which would probably make his tics worse. He's also terrified of judgement even though he knows there wouldn't be any.

I hate not being able to do things that are 'so easy' for others. I'm tired of having to spend so much energy to compensate. I worry that my disabilities will prevent me from ever making it in life

One of these days I'm gonna have an echolalia/tic sobad that someone is gonna call me "an asshole" and I will whole heartedly, yet nonchalantly reply with, "you are what you eat, sonic", as if it's the most normal response to that insult.

Whenever i become mildly lost in thought in real life my tourettes do this new thing where i start making the minecraft damage sound, which i guess is better than barking or calling ppl babygirl or hitting myself or twitching or saying slurs or making a jerk off motion or-
*thinks a little too hard* -> "tk- tk- tk- tk-"

Don't you dare think I don't see you, staring, laughing. I know I look odd, sitting on the floor, twitching and screeching. It hurts, you know? Holding in the tics, the tears of embarrassment. It hurts. But you don't know, do you? I will always just be a joke to you

the existence of “cringe culture” is harmful to neurodivergent people who are just trying to be themselves but then get harassed by being called cringe and are forced to hide who they truly are
if u call people “cringe” for liking things that are considered cringe or for making mary sues or for getting really excited over stuff get off my blog
[Image description: a picture of Scourge warrior cats on a black background surrounded by rainbow sparkles. Bright blue text says “Cringe culture”, bright green text says “is”, and bright pink text says “ableist”. End ID]

Here’s some positivity for systems with Tourette’s!
Living with any sort of disability as a system can make life challenging and complicated. However, that doesn’t mean we aren’t capable of living full, happy lives, despite our struggles! Here’s to all the systems out there with Tourette Syndrome!
🌈 Shoutout to systems with loud or disruptive vocal tics!
☁️ Shoutout to systems who have been made fun of or faced harassment because of their Tourette’s!
☀️ Shoutout to systems with tics that may be harmful to themselves or others!
🌈 Shoutout to systems with both autism and Tourette’s who struggle to determine whether a motion or sound they make is a tic or a stim!
☁️ Shoutout to headmates who are symptom holders or hold particular tics!
☀️ Shoutout to systems who like and are excited by developing a new tic!
🌈 Shoutout to systems whose Tourette’s makes it difficult for them to work, attend school, or complete responsibilities!
☁️ Shoutout to systems who have had to learn to suppress or mask their tics for their own safety!
☀️ Shoutout to systems who are bothered or distressed by their tics!
🌈 Shoutout to systems who are disability advocates or are vocal about what their life is like as a system with Tourette’s!
Having a disorder like Tourette Syndrome does not make you any less valued and cherished as a system or as a member of the plural community! Whether your Tourette’s is inherently connected to your plurality or not, whether you resent your disorder or embrace it, please know that there will always be a place for you here. You are important, beautiful, and loved just the way you are!!
We want you to know that we are rooting for you in all that you do and wish you the very best. Please continue to take care of yourself and your system to the best of your ability! Thank you so much for reading, and have a wonderful day!

(Image ID:) A pale orange userbox with a cluster of multicolored flowers for the userbox image. The border and text are both dark orange, and the text reads “all plurals can interact with this post!” (End ID.)

I have no idea what people will think about this, but I really like the idea.
Fiddleford McGucket having tics.
I obviously came up with this because of his whole ham-boning thing. As someone with tics, I have hit myself more times than I can count. I feel like it's one of those things that you do voluntarily until your tics pick up on it. And even after that, you probably still do it on purpose, but you don't like when you do it on accident.
I also like this idea when it comes to how Ford and Fiddleford came together. Tics in modern day are criticised, so at the time that they were in college, it could've led them to both be outcasts in that way.
