The evergreen shrub Ulex europaeus (gorse) is a native plant in the U.K. and can be seen in all kinds of habitats, from heaths and coastal grasslands to towns and gardens. It can normally be found in flower to some extent throughout the year. The yellow pea-like flowers have a distinctive coconut scent.

Passed a heron within two feet of my bike and we were both so surprised we both nearly fell over. Successful wildlife interaction y/y?
Feat. rattling down the towpath on my £20 possibly-actually-East-German klapprad and realising what I'm singing is "we gon' rock it till the wheels fall off". Which is TEMPTING FATE and BAD.

Ocean towpath to reopen in time for the Queen’s Platinum Jubilee celebrations
People will be able to walk along the canal towpath and under the newly-constructed Ocean Jubilee Bridge in time for the Queen’s Platinum Jubilee weekend.
