Honestly, I’m glad I’m only a casual fan/watcher of Helluva Boss because goddamn is that fandom toxic as hell.
I go into the trending tag to see art and funny shit and instead I’m hit in the face with some of the most ridiculous things I’ve ever read.

I had to leave a Facebook book-club group discussing Emma, because when I pointed out that Emma defends Jane Fairfax's beauty, the response was that it was actually evil. No, I just didn't understand. Emma liked that Frank was insulting Jane.
Huh? This is the quote (and yes I read around it too for any hint of sarcasm or meanness):
“Ill, very ill—that is, if a young lady can ever be allowed to look ill. But the expression is hardly admissible, Mrs. Weston, is it? Ladies can never look ill. And, seriously, Miss Fairfax is naturally so pale, as almost always to give the appearance of ill health.—A most deplorable want of complexion.” Emma would not agree to this, and began a warm defence of Miss Fairfax’s complexion. “It was certainly never brilliant, but she would not allow it to have a sickly hue in general; and there was a softness and delicacy in her skin which gave peculiar elegance to the character of her face.”
Where is her being mean? Frank said Jane looked sickly and Emma could not abide it, she defends Jane and even uses a big compliment (for her) "elegant". Emma very much admires elegance and it is a word she uses constantly with Jane. Emma sincerely admires Jane's looks and her elegance.
Which really makes this a "I hate Emma so everything she does must be evil" thing. And I can't take it anymore! She has good traits, otherwise she wouldn't be redeemable! Why must people make her good parts bad? While Emma does complain about Jane's reserve, she does not insult her to anyone. She even tells Harriet Jane is a better pianoforte player:
“Oh! if I could but play as well as you and Miss Fairfax!” [H] “Don’t class us together, Harriet. My playing is no more like her’s, than a lamp is like sunshine.” [Emma] “Oh! dear—I think you play the best of the two. I think you play quite as well as she does. I am sure I had much rather hear you. Every body last night said how well you played.” “Those who knew any thing about it, must have felt the difference. The truth is, Harriet, that my playing is just good enough to be praised, but Jane Fairfax’s is much beyond it.”
Emma may like being told she's superior, but she does not tear other's down to feel better.
And then her charity, a lot of people take this part as sarcsm:
That is NOT this:
They were now approaching the cottage, and all idle topics were superseded. Emma was very compassionate; and the distresses of the poor were as sure of relief from her personal attention and kindness, her counsel and her patience, as from her purse. She understood their ways, could allow for their ignorance and their temptations, had no romantic expectations of extraordinary virtue from those for whom education had done so little; entered into their troubles with ready sympathy, and always gave her assistance with as much intelligence as good-will.
Elizabeth soon perceived, that though this great lady was not in the commission of the peace for the county, she was a most active magistrate in her own parish, the minutest concerns of which were carried to her by Mr. Collins; and whenever any of the cottagers were disposed to be quarrelsome, discontented, or too poor, she sallied forth into the village to settle their differences, silence their complaints, and scold them into harmony and plenty. (Pride & Prejudice, Ch 30)
With Lady Catherine, there is no mention of compassion, money, kindness, or sympathy. NONE. Lady Catherine is coming to tell people they spend too much money on avocado toast. Emma is giving them money, kindness, and soup. These are not the same! Emma's charity is actually a good thing, it is part of why she is the heroine. Look at her treatment of Miss Taylor! Do you think Lady Catherine treats Mrs. Jenkinson as a friend? WE KNOW SHE DOESN'T!
Yes, Emma is snobby in her charity, but she's also filthy rich and living in a classist system. It was also her actual job. I doubt anyone in that house felt that she was condescending (in the modern use of that word). She was doing her duty and doing it well.
It just feels so unfair. Emma cannot have a single good feature, for some reason literally EVERYTHING she does MUST be evil/tainted/self-centered. Give me a break.
(I also left once because people would not stop calling Mary Crawford a succubus/siren/seductress.)

Honestly, the Viv and Lackadaisy drama is a great reminder that the indie animation scene isn't so different from Hollywood.
Drama like this is one of the main reasons why I could never get into any indie animated shows, as there would always be some dumb behind the scenes nonsense that would ruin any enjoyment I got out of these shows.
It also doesn't help that a lot of these indie animation studios are run like high school cliques rather than professional studios.
Seriously, I dunno how anyone can deal with Viv's bullshit on a regular basis, nor do I understand why that Lackadisy crew member decided to make a big fuss over Viv not providing a donation link to the campaign on Twitter.
This is the type of behavior I expect from teenagers, not adults in their 20's and 30's.
And before anyone accuses me of siding with Viv, I think she handled the situation poorly by posting (and then deleting) that pity tweet instead of just talking things out with the Lackadaisy team in private.
I usually hate it when people try to "Both sides" everything, but this is one of those rare cases where both sides were in the wrong.
Not like it matters now, as the HH/HB fans and Lackadaisy fans are currently at each others' throats, arguing over which fandom is shittier.
Just a complete and utter mess.

I keep seeing tiktoks about the jjk fandom becoming as bad as the mha fandom.
To be clear I have no idea what happened that is making people say this, I've watched some mha, only seen some of jjk, I'm not going to be talking about either fandom or the issues therein in particular.
This (and other fandoms, which I've seen being referenced in these videos) is not a case of a fandom becoming "as bad" as another fandom that is a "bad fandom". This is what happens when toxic fandom behavior is allowed to fester. Sometimes it's because a fandom gets too large to be reasonably regulated, which I've seen people say is the reason the mha fandom is said to be bad. Sometimes it's because the source material is toxic and was always going to generate a toxic fandom. And sometimes it's because the toxicity is ignored by the rest of the fandom.
Something that has always rubbed me the wrong way about people calling mha "the most toxic fandom", and similar things, is the ability it gives to every other fandom to go "well at least it's not mha" and the general attitude of only thinking of mha and other notoriously "bad" fandoms can be toxic. It puts fandoms in the mindset that they don't have to work on their own environment.
I saw one TikTok say "me watching other fandoms slowly turn more like the mha fandom". This isn't some terminal disease, some anomaly, or strange phenomena, this is the reality of communities that don't hold themselves in check.
If this continues as a trend where something bad happens in a fandom and the whole pot is considered rotten, pointed at, shamed, then other fandoms can't use it to learn from that mistake. That fandom is othered and people in it turn away as if they had never touched it. So then it's forgotten, thrown away and considered untouchable and cringe and nothing changes but the weather. Nothing is learned. Other fandoms are just given one more group to look at and laugh and gossip about while their own community is neglected.
anyway Ive never done a rant post like this before so it's more of a dump, I just keep seeing these tiktoks and it's annoying me.

Star Trek: Picard- Nostalgia is the only thing that matters. Specifically, cis-het white middle class middle age nostalgia.
Star Trek: Prodigy- Nostalgia degrades over time, and is almost always inaccurate. Nostalgia can literally poison a fandom.

time for y'all to snap back to reality for a second.
i really wish i didn't have to write this...
but
the heartstopper fandom is becoming toxic.
this was just supposed to be a wholesome book/show but people are really starting to ruin it.
people shouldn't be making fun of Joe for his looks. what are you, 7 years old? people shouldn't be hating on him in general. he literally deleted his Twitter you disgusting shits.
people forcing Kit to come out was just disgusting. the whole message of the book/show was that you shouldn't have to come out before you are ready. HE'S 18. People should've just left him tf alone.
Kit has also stated he is uncomfortable with people calling him "hot" or "fine", so y'all should STOP making edits of him shirtless. respect people's goddammed boundaries.
i didn't even know this existed until earlier today, and that people actually ship them unironically but harryxben?! NO. JUST NO.
people who ship Joe and Bash, DONT. As far as we know, they are just good friends. and if they are dating, SO WHAT? THEY ARE REAL PEOPLE. ACTUAL PEOPLE WITH ACTUAL LIVES AND ACTUAL FEELINGS. I KNOW, CRAZY RIGHT? y'all really need to give "I was Born For This" a read because one of the central issues is the consequences of shipping real live people. ITS JUST WRONG, WHY IS THAT SO HARD TO SEE?
apparently, people STALKED Joe's family. WHAT THE ACTUAL FUCK. THATS ILLEGAL.
people always associate Joe with Kit and act as if he cant live without him, he is his own person. he isn't just an extension of someone else.
people should really stop making insensitive jokes about Charlie's eating disorder. I admit the "you ate (unlike charlie)" was a little funny in the beginning but it gets old really fast and is just icky.
everyone saying that heartstopper is "cringe". THATS THE WHOLE FUCKING POINT!!! newsflash THEY ARE TEENAGERS. TEENAGERS ARE AWKWARD. TEENAGERS ARE CRINGE. TEENAGE ROMANCES ARE CRINGE. THAT IS JUST A FACT OF LIFE. cringe culture is so toxic, people just need to stop.
sharing photos of Yasmin pre-transition feels wrong. just wrong.
the whole "Kit is queerbating" drama was horrid, and I am honestly scared of what might happen to Rhea, seeing as it has been heavily implied Imogen will have a bi/pan storyline in S3
anyways thats my rant for the day 🙃

The fan fiction and The Toxic writers groups
Obviously that is how it works.
It’s not about how good you are.
It’s about who your ”friends” are, and if you are you willing to sell your soul TO gain toxic “popularity”.
it’s about if are you willing to give up your style, and what you want to write about, in order to gain people, who are only loyal until a writer produces what they crave, and until their next dose.
Mention: A style does NOT mean a mistakes ridden piece of work, that  lacks general quality.
AUTHORS SHOULDN'T BE FORCED TO DO THIS HOWEVER.
Also, the fiction needs diversity and types, as any other type of writing.
Which at the current time is NOT present.
More than 90 % includes x some type of “reader”, and when it contains smut it’s mostly all the time a bdsm lifestyle. Especially when it comes to characters that the fandom labeled as such no matter how they were presented. That’s NOT a diversity.
AUTHORS SHOULDN'T BE FORCED TO DO THIS also.
It’s does not matter how good you write, it only matters how good you market your writing, and if you are a people person and whether you do or do not know the ...”right“ people....
And if you were at the right place, at the right time.
And if you wonder what the problem is - the problem is that fan fiction writing is about having FUN, not about business, or marketing, or establishing FAKE CONNECTIONS in order to be seen.
Because if it becomes that, there will be competition, and your “rivals” will try to move you “out of the way”, and it’s not FUN at all.
There is enough readers for everyone and every type of fiction.
If only the mass reader would stop to behave as they do now - Gathering around what’s “cool” and popular, and around certain people, and leaving all  the other authors unseen and feeling horrible.
Those authors give their time to write fiction for free, and for everyone to enjoy, at which they only expect some attention and feedback in return and from who is interested.
THEY DO NOT DESERVE to be overlooked and not seen because the general reader couldn't care less.
And they may be great authors, but if they don’t have exposure how good you are does not matter at all.
All you need is popular blogs and people which gained some “status”in the fandom not to reblog and interact with you and your fic, and you will not be seen.
THAT’S SHIT BEHAVIOR.
And it’s one, that the fandoms as a whole not only tolerate but enable.
Because why would someone who has fans, attention on their own fics, and followers who care, would care at all to change a system that works this good for them?
Why would they care if someone else struggle?
That’s right. They had no reason to.
Except if they care for the others as human beings.
Which apparently and based on the demonstrated behaviour they do not.

I was listening to a video about bad fandoms and how they ruin media etc etc...
And every time I hear about someone's experience being ruined by a bad fandom I think about one specific thing. How newer and younger generations grew up with the Internet and with social media - and as a result, for them, a social interaction will be first and foremost about the Internet. As such, when they want to enjoy or appreciate a media, they go to the Internet, and seek discussion and aporoval there.
But... As someone who grew up before the Internet was a thing everybody had. As someone who grew up in a household where the Internet was only my mother's work-tool, and definitively not for children, and barely used - as someone whose first connections to the Internet were done in cyber-cafes and by libraries' computers only when I was a teenager...
I remember and lived through a time where all the Internet fandoms DID NOT EXIST. And then, you could enjoy fully a media without worrying about the "fans". Heck, I lived in a time where people sometimes never met other fans of a given piece of media until several decades after discovering it! The invasion of the Internet and the wild colonization of social media in our society tend to make younger generations forget that medias will exist outside of a fando, and can survive a fandom. That the fandom is a byproduct of a media's existence, and is NOT NEEDED to consume, appreciate or dislike a piece of media.
I mean... I can give you dozens of shows I watched as a kid and a pre-teen that I was madly in love with, that I bought merch for, that I did fan-art of. And all that without ever encountering any other fan or hearing anybody else's opinion about the show. I just watched it, enjoyed it, and went on with my life. One CAN enjoy a media ALL ON THEIR OWN and all alone. It was how people did it for CENTURIES before you.
You clearly see how new generations' minds are shaped by the "Share this video" logic and by the "Comment section" structure. They are so used to see everybody sharing their opinion, they are so used to only read or see the most popular opinions, they are so used to see a media being SURROUNDED by fan reactions, that they end up believing in some warped way that they NEED to be part of a fandom, or that a media is equal and interwoven with its fandom. When the truth is that it is not.
There are tons of excellent pieces of media whose fandom died a long time ago, and yet the media is still there ; and same thing with hatedoms. On the other side, there are lots of pieces of media that never even got a fandom to begin with.
The whole "Fandom is everything" logic (that many people live by unconsciously) is only a fragment of a wider "community" phenomenon on the Internet, where everything must be a "community" and there is no individuality anymore. But here is the lesson and the moral to take out of things: If a piece of media is good, you can enjoy it, even if the fanbase or fandom is "bad". When you like a piece of media, you are NOT forced to interact with other fans or to care what the fandom as a whole thinks. You can be a fan, and not feel forced or obliged to be part of any "dom". And if someone "ruins" an experience of a media for you, always try to remember what YOU like about the media, and your singular enjoyment of it, and your own personal relationship with it.
I speak of experience here because when I first started sharing things about Sandman on Tumblr, I got into a bad situation with a crazy, bullying, obsessive fan of Sandman. It was all a pretty pathetic situation on all parts - because I was a young teen who wrote too hastily some posts without thinking about how my words could sound, and the other was a much older person who was hyper-focused on being the ultimate authority on Sandman (this person still tries to be the supreme ruler of the Sandman fandom by controlling Discors servers and making their blog the number one source of information about Sandman). This misunderstanding turned petty feud left me with a nasty and bitter taste that prevented me from sharing anything Sandman related - and did kill a bit of my Sandman joy... But I didn't left that ruin me. I wasn't going to leave one bad, rotten piece of mind make me unlove something I adored before. Because this is a person that exists OUTSIDE of Sandman, outside of the comic, outside of the media, and that I could have never even met if things had taken a different path.
I was bummed out that I couldn't share anything Sandman related anymore, because this person was stalking every Sandman post on this website, but I had to set my mind right because for YEARS and YEARS I did not share anything Sandman related, and it never bummed me out before. I collected Sandman volumes each year, for special occasions and given sasons - I have a whole personal history and experiences with this comic, tied to specific holidays like Christmas or gifts given by people that aren't here anymore. I was certainly NOT going to deny or renounce to a whole part of my life and to a personal relationship I had with a story, just because of some anger-prone person that clearly had a sorry life if they had nothing better to do than jump on the back of any foolish kid that miswrote something and yell at them like some self-righteous so-called teacher. A person I didn't even know, who didn't even knew the real me, and that I would never meet, and that I could easily block since their only presence was virtual.
[I also got a bit better upon seeing that I wasn't the only "victim" that had to suffer this person's slightly unhinged and very obsessive behavior, and that other reasonable person also got attacked - and I admit I laughed my ass off when I saw that this same person got a nickname around that they disliked but that actually described them so well from an outsider's point of view, it put into words everything I had felt and perceived from my few interactions. I won't say it here because I know it apparently hurts this person, and there's no need to answer misery with misery, but that was just something part of the whole crazy story]
Anyway after this very long digression - this is my personal story. For years and years I enjoyed Sandman as a comic, made it a yearly ritual, had personal experiences with it, all of that without meeting anyone else who knew or enjoyed Sandman (most people either being disinterested or laughing it off). And yet, because of this warped Internet logic that screws people minds, because one very present fan very present online was a bad person and attacked me on ground of me being some sort of "fake fan"... I should just threw these years to the bin? Certainly not! I love Sandman and it shaped some special events of my life, and that's something no one else will live, no one else will know, and that no one can "ruin" for me.
So no, I do not understand when people say that a piece of media couldn't be liked because of its fandom. A media exists outside of its fandom, before a fandom is born, and will probably survive said fandom. What truly happens to these people - which is something they do not actually understand, and that they need to realize, the same way I realized it - is that bad fans will ruin one's PERCEPTION of a show, will give a person bad memories of a comic, will ruin things around a movie or even cause trauma related to a cartoon. But when you consider things more carefully you will realize that a bad fandom in itself - that your personal bad experience with a fandom - won't change what the show or cartoon or comic or movie or anime truly is. Think about how you perceived the media before knowing about its fandom or before your bad interactions - and hold on to that, because this is YOURS and YOURS only. Try to imagine how you would have answered to a piece of media if you had no knowledge of its fans. Try to see and perceive a media while omitting all things that do not come from the media itself.
Ultimately, it is a question of not letting others enter in your head. What you do by letting bad fandoms "ruin" your perception of a media, is that you let others infect your life and warp up your mind and smear something you had, with their toxic, venomous, stupid, hateful behavior. It is a form of mind-invasion, similar to things like brainwashing peer pressure, and I think it is something people do not talk enough about.
Be strong. Do not let them win. Try to find back what is YOUR opinion and your feelings, truly your own. Or stand by your position and do not let people's bad behavior cut off yourself from the media. It is not because someone acted badly in a theater play's audience or an opera-house that the play or opera shown in it was bad. I think this is the most impactful metaphor I can come up with. If someone starts insulting everyone within a theater play's audience, will you blame the actors or the playwright for it? Will it forbid you from reading the play's script or from seeing another performance? Will you say to people "No, do not go watch this play, the audience is really bad"?
I hope this post can help

It's worth of remembering that a lot of the hate that Steven Universe got was in part a result of how toxic the fandom used to be back when the series was still airing.
Does anyone remember SU crewniverse staff getting harassed and having to leave their social media because of that? Yeah, things like that didn't give a good image to the series even if the fans were the reason all these problems were happening, not the show itself.
For the record, this phenomenon happens with other popular shows. The thing with the Steven Universe fandom is that it happened to be one of the most toxic animation fandoms back in their years.

Since I think it's gonna be topical so let's just say this
Friendly reminder that what the FANDOM thinks and what YOU think are 2 completely different things, reviews can suck your dick.
I've struggled with this in the past and today is the day I decided fuck it since for some reason everything I like is stuff that the fandom hates (few examples: SOME parts of black adam, I enjoyed a lot of phase 4 and 5 of the MCU, they arent perfect but I still am able to enjoy them, I acknowledge their flaws.I enjoy a lot of helluva boss and viziepop stuff in general, and a lot of the internet thinks I should be burned at the stake for it) I guess I'm a hypocrite bc I shit on @standard-human all the time for liking Gotham but I have realized my mistake and am gonna do better, also gonna say this
Fuck it I'm gatekeeping gatekeepers, if you shit on other people for enjoying something in a fandom that you don't, you're not a fan, Jesus fucking christ, marvel especially. It's so god damn childish at times
Anyway later today I'm watching the marvels and just wanted to put this out here for anyone who is like me and has their opinions changed based off of the opinions of others, it's ok to like what you like, people shouldn't be as toxic as they are

Now can people stop saying the same annoying thing every damn episode???
I'm very sorry that your fav wasn't in every single scene 4/5 episodes in a row. (mine only spoke in one episode while my other favourite had only one scene and no lines, just sayin)
Personally, I've loved these episodes and I think people had very high expectations for how this season was supposed to go. Which, fair enough, YJ is that good; but the amount of shit that fans have given this team, who cares deeply for their fanbase, for not meeting their extraordinarily high expectations is quite disappointing.

re: toxic fanbases. I'm not good at telling what fanbases are toxic. I'm both a doormat ("that rando who started yelling at me all of a sudden probably has a good reason and I'm dumb for not seeing it 👍") and a weirdo who tends to stay within very small circles. With Danganronpa, I feel like there's *something* that makes it a little jarring compared to other communities, although it's by far not the worst community I've personally interacted with.
Its popularity definitely plays a massive role; it's actually impressive to see how active Danganronpa circles remain after all this time, but the downside is that there's a lot of brainrot, distant memories, and most importantly people who've been involved with it for WAY too long. I myself have definitely grown horribly bored of having the same tired debates be brought up time and time again - I can imagine people with a different personality from mine getting very upset over that.
Though I don't feel a connection to that aspect at this time, the prevalent young fanbase also comes with its qualities and flaws.
I could go on, because this community is so large and so old that it's genuinely, like I already mentioned, jarring at times. I'll turn my back from being told DRAE is irredeemable media because it uses dark humour to see someone draw a Komaru with giant tits requesting coitus. There are times when interacting with Danganronpa fans has made me wish I'd just never known about Danganronpa at all, so all things considered, even if I can't put words on it, there's a strong negative aspect to it.
At the same time, I don't know how it being Danganronpa specifically relates to some negative experiences I had - was some of the abuse I endured as a Wiki admin related to the way the DR fandom is? Or did it have to do with Wikis more than it did with DR, with French users more than it did DR? Maybe the problem is that this series has given so many of us such intense brainrot and we can't stop getting involved with it.
Sorry if this long ask is annoying in any way - I figured you might be interested in exploring the conversation around how the DR fandom might come across as toxic, objectively or subjectively OTL
One thing I remember for sure is that when I posted Akudama Drive LGBTQ headcanons, I felt perfectly fine and happy about it - but when I decided to post my Danganronpa headcanons too, I had a strong feeling that I was taking a risk, however small. That's not a very nice feeling to get as an adult who's just trying to be a little happy and silly with PNGs.
Oh, I don't mind a long ask at all! I'm grateful for the detailed thought you put into this, honestly. :) I'm a pretty wordy person myself — you may have noticed.
I think a lot of what you're describing as negatives within the DR community are unfortunate constants with fandoms of ANY popular media these days. Not ALL of it, but....
Every piece of media is gonna be declared irredeemable/offensive/problematic by some parties now if it delves into any kind of darkness or deals with any kind of major crimes, it seems like I've seen more than one person online state — with a straight face, mind you — stuff like "Danganronpa is toxic AF, many of those characters are LITERALLY murderers" and I'm just over here thinking are you fucking serious? I don't remember seeing people say stuff like this in my fandom circles before 2019 or so, but I see it everywhere now. It seems to have grown more prevalent since the 2020s hit? There are people who just can't stand to deal with any moral grayness, any dark theming, etc — and they don't think anyone else should allowed to enjoy that stuff either. (Now I'm wondering whether there are people similarly dismissing Akudama Drive. Much smaller fandom, so maybe you don't see that. But I can imagine someone grumbling "These characters are LITERALLY criminals, wtf." LOL)
We all know Internet Rule 34, but I feel like there are certain built-in multipliers to it that increase how widespread it is. Animated media? That's a multiplier that will cause even MORE porn to exist. Japanese media? That's another multiplier. Which means there's tons of porn of DR characters — even for the teen characters that're underage in most countries like Komaru. At least I've never stumbled across porn of the small children like the Warriors of Hope, THANK FUCKING GOD. I sadly don't doubt that it exists, but I hope to god it remains in a dark corner, out of my goddamn sight.
And I definitely feel much, MUCH more afraid to say anything about LGBTQ headcanons for popular media than I do for relatively small fandoms. Maybe that's partly symptomatic of being American in an era where tolerance and acceptance of LGBTQ people is sliding horiffically backwards? At least I think I'm safter to share such things on Tumblr than I would be on Reddit. I'd be afraid to talk about my personal DR LGBTQ headcanons, too. I've even drafted a post about that once and then been like "You know what? No. I'm not opening myself up to abuse for this," leading me to delete it. I've done similarly for the Madoka Magica fandom as well... too active, too big = too likely to result in blowback. I believe Akudama Drive is a pretty small fandom, though, so it makes sense to me why that'd feel like a more comfortable place to talk LGBTQ concepts.
But with all of that said, I can't claim that the infighting over interpretations of characters and events that I see on the DR Wiki is something that every fandom deals with. Maybe some of them do; honestly, Fandom Wikis weren't really so huge a thing before I got deep into DR in the back half of the 2010s, and I haven't really gotten involved with any of the Fandom Wikis I've come across afterwards either. So I don't know for sure! But it seems like that could be uniquely unpleasant about the DR fandom — the way people define "canon" as a matter of personal interpretation.
Since I'm stuck on the English side of the DR Wiki, I'm not certain whether you deal with the same stuff in the French incarnation. Characters like Komaeda and Ouma are especially difficult to police — they have so many fans who think they are pure of heart, and so many fans who find them loathesomely manipulate, and you can't necessarily be certain what about them is true or false. Put all that together, and it's hard to keep things to "Just The Facts" when people fundamentally disagree on what the facts ARE, which can lead to a lot of infighting among the people editing the thing! God... even deciphering the truth about what's going on in V3 and determining how we should or shouldn't explain that haziness is an awfully sticky wicket all by itself.
