Back from Hiatus

Trigger warning? I think? Brief mentions of medical stuff, nothing graphic. Oh, and death (but none occurred).

TLDR if you don't want to read seven paragraphs: Physical health bad, mental health bad, now hospitalised, fucked up when transferring my story files, hospital bad, home soon?, regardless you will be seeing me back in your feed probably more than you'd like

Rambling below cut

So, about a month ago I had to take a step back from Tumblr... and then an even bigger step back from Tumblr, because I had taken a step back from writing and I found that I just pressured myself too much to write and post when I did use the app. (I did my best to save your guys' stories in my drafts to read later but... I may have missed some and I definitely have some catching up to do.)

Why did I take a hiatus from writing? Well, that was due to my physical health declining in a real bad way. I won't get into it too much here, because I would end up telling a dramatic yet probably honestly boring story of the last four years of my life, but I'm willing to answer any questions if anyone's curious.

Anyway, that sent my head into a state of just utter... fear, I suppose. It's very difficult to care or focus on anything else when death is literally on your mind, and I was also in this weird state of limbo because I wasn't sure if I would be going to hospital or dying or what... so I didn't write, or really do anything except try to take care of myself the best I could. And I pretty much just isolated.

I've been in hospital a couple days now. The fear of death has lessened, and I think I'm gonna be okay, though I'm straight up not having a good time. I had this idea that what would get me through it was writing, so I sent myself all of my docs for my WIPs. Thing is, I keep shortcuts to them on my desktop, and apparently they don't save changes to the root file?? A lesson I learned after I showed up and found that massive chunks of my writing, notes, and storyboards were missing. Yeah, I fucked up.

But now there is talk of outpatient care as soon as this Friday which means I can maybe go home with my TPN (feeding through a vein tube which is the best way I can describe it since I am not a medical professional; it's basically a hardcore IV and I assure you it's badass and exactly like Cyberpunk 2077 -- that was sarcasm but seriously, props to anyone who lives with these because these are terrifying). If that's the case, I'll be able to carry on with White Ribbon and the fics I had started for Darjeeling and Budapest, and it will probably be a lot easier for me to write in general. I haven't tried writing yet, but hospital is a really uncomfortable environment for me (I mean, I'm sure it is for most people but I have a lovely lifetime dose of trauma on top of the usual) and I'm not managing as well as I thought I would so I have my doubts on how well I will be able to focus. (Don't worry about requests, guys... I haven't forgotten about any of them and I still fully intend to fulfill them, even if it means writing your smutty fantasies in hospital.)

If that's not the case, and I'm stuck here until surgery, well, I am willing it into the damn universe that I'm gonna write again regardless. So if you don't see me post something in the next week you have my blessing to send copious amounts of hate mail.

Oh thank god we're picking up right where season one left off with no recap in sight. Exactly what I wanna see!

Who the hell was quick enough to beat Kisaki up and save Takemichi when the lights went out huh?

This place at the side of the river where Takemichi is now.. I vaguely recognize it from some of the season’s previews.

BAJI???? I.. what? WHAT? Sir you died in this timeline didn’t you? They were just talking about you and how Kisaki apologized for it!

Wait, did they ever mention last episode that Baji was actually dead..? Okay yeah, looking back they did mention he died on Halloween. So.. I’m still confused on how he’s here now apparently? Unless that ain’t even him and I’m rambling for nothing. I dunno, I screamed and paused when this guy showed up.

Real talk though, I know how the series ends. There was a lot of chatter when the last couple chapters were being released, so naturally, I got curious and read the last three and yeah.. kinda disappointing how fucking quick everything was resolved and ended (I feel your pain, TPN did the same), but at least we’re all happy? I guess? Anyway I’ll shut up now. I know little to nothing of everything that happened in between last season and the very end.

Ohhh shit, it was Kazutora who saved him! I wished I would’ve recognized his voice more.. that would’ve helped. I love that he still has that little bell earring.

Okay well never the fuck mind then, now he’s beating up Takemichi.

Hold up, he wanted to save Chifuyu? Mmhhm okay, good. Good. I wish you did save my boy. I’m starting to warm up to you now.

Aww but he was there to pick Kazutora up when he was released from prison! Best boy!

Yeah Toman has really got batshit crazy. Y’all gotta fix that.

Ah cmon, Pah and Peh were murdered last night too? I’m trying to think who else at that table was part of the old Toman since they’re getting targeted apparently.. the dude that always smiles and the guy with the blue hair with the swirl I think (it’s been a long while, I’ll remember names eventually). And Hanma too, but he wasn’t originally Toman.

Oh, speak of the devil, there’s the blue haired guy. And these other two guys from Black Dragon I remember from last season and recognize from previews. Three of ‘em working close under Kisaki? Oh dear..

Good, so Naoto is alive, just who knows where.

Ah, there he is.. and he’s handcuffing Takemichi. Alrighty. So much for a touching reunion.

Oh even Kazutora was blindsided by this, oops.

Every time the episode fades to black I’m expecting to see the new OP and every time I get nothing! Ah! Stop teasing me.

Damn dude, Takemichi really changes when he moves between timelines huh? That video of him was totally unlike our crybaby.

Ah fuck, so he’s the one who gave Akkun the order to kill Hinata?

Okay so he didn’t know that it was her who was gonna be killed, the second video proved that, but still. How do ya go back in time to fix that when you’re sorta the problem? I mean, can’t we all just agree to kill Kisaki? Yeah? No? Okay.

“I can only go back to today 12 years ago! There’s no way I can save him [Baji]!” If I didn’t know how it all ended, I would’ve been far more upset with this.

“Tetta Kisaki clearly has some obsession with you and my sister.” I think I know the reason via my many random glances at the manga but not completely sure..? But if it’s for the reason I think, then he’s so dramatic.

Oooh back to the past and we’re on a bowling date with our lady. Not only that but he got three strikes? Nice going lad!

Oh my god, the way she tossed the ball was adorable.

Ah great, the blue haired guy got a strike in the lane right next to us. Hakkai is his name right? Pretty sure he’s already part of Toman at this point. I know I’ve seen him in previous fights.

And that was his sister off to the side too right? Only know that ‘cause I had tagged her in stuff already.

Aahh Chifuyu! So happy to see you even if only in the ending! (for now).

So many names I gotta go back and remember, oh boy.

There’s our tall guy Hanma! Ngl I’m kinda excited to see more of him? I dunno what changed in me since season one but yeah, went back and watched a few of his scenes again and I like him.

Those white jackets I thought were from Valhalla but these ones got “Tokyo Kai” on ‘em, so are we switching? Because honestly I loved that style of bomber jacket more than the black Toman ones. Not really sure though, since a bunch of other scenes have the originals.

Ending sequence and the song were nice though.

Well now, lot to take in from the first ep but so glad to see everyone again!

poor boy doesn’t even notice how fast you’re growing

norman of course knew you were gonna grow sooner or later, but he didn’t expect you to grow that soon.

he doesn’t say much about it, he just mentally notes how you’re probably gonna be acting differently now

if you’d ever feel uncomfy or out of place norman will be quick to praise you and just tell you affirmations on yourself (does that make sense-)

of course, he doesn’t know much about what you're going through but he quickly understands

norman would be flustered by how mature you're getting

the first time norman turned into (⑉´•˶˶̫˶ •`⑉), was when you were playing with the little kids tag

he was just watching you play and then he looked down- manz had to take a quick retake when he noticed you had something on your chest bouncing

at first, he thought it was just how your shirt was moving- but that quickly went out the drain when he saw it once more

flustered boy didn’t know how to comprehend what he just saw

it wasn’t anything bad obviously, but he just couldn’t realize how you were growing that quickly while your other siblings (the trio) looked like toddlers compared to you

ray being the intelligent young boy he is , he already expected this in a way

he knew there was gonna be a time when one of the girls grew quicker than others- but he didn’t expect you to be that girl

he didn’t care that much about you growing quickly though

it didn’t help in any way so he just ignored it

“oh!” you gasped in shock at the sudden question. “well” you paused, trying to find the right words, “everyone’s bodys different, it doesn’t matter if you have these or not. they don’t help you at all with anything, and to be quite frank- they only give you pain” you told the embarrassed girl.

“really?” emma inquired. “yeah! so be proud of the body you have emma!” you said before pulling the girl into an embrace. “thank you y/n”

Why So Serious? {Norman, Ray, and Emma}

A/N: back at it again with the gifs! they’re so cute, i love themmmm also thank you so so much for the request, I’m so excited to finally write a fic for tpn! I love Ray sm, he definitely deserves a lot of tickles! i feel like this one is a bit sloppy, i just got really excited writing for it nfdjd sorry about that. anyways, I hope you enjoy this one~!

Summary: Ray, Emma, and Norman have been plotting to escape the orphanage with the other children. But when Ray’s been acting too serious about it, Emma and Norman decide to teach him a lesson.

Word Count: 1.4k (under the cut)

“Ray, would you get your nose out of that book already?” Emma whined, laying on her tummy across from Ray, her head propped up on her elbows as she kicked her legs, bored.

“I need to see if there’s anything important in here to help us escape, Emma. This is a book from Minerva,” Ray said, flipping another page, completely ignoring Emma and Norman.

Emma pouted and looked over at Norman, who shrugged. She sighed, rolling onto her back as she looked up at the blue sky, clouds flying by overhead.

They had been planning their escape from the orphanage for a while now, but they were still trying to figure out what exactly the books left by William Minerva meant. They hadn’t made much progress in that regard, but they felt like they were at least getting a little bit closer.

Ray continued to scan the book, flipping the pages slowly and inspecting every inch of it that he could find. He sighed when he didn’t find anything interesting or that stood out on that page, and quickly turned to the next one, holding it close to his face in case he missed anything.

“You should put the book down, you’ve been reading for hours now,” Norman finally piped in, sitting next to Ray. He leaned over and looked at what Ray was reading, Ray finally looking up from the book to glance at Norman.

“Can I see it?” He asked, and Ray handed him the book, leaning back against the tree as he crossed his arms. Emma crawled over and peeked at the book as well, but quickly turned her attention back to Ray, pouting her lip out as she shoved his knee.

“You’re being too serious! It’s important that we escape, but we can’t let Mama find out. If you keep acting like you are she might figure out we’re up to something!”

“I’m acting like I normally do,” Ray said simply, glancing back at the book. He gestured for it and Norman handed it back after scanning the pages, Ray quickly going back to reading it.

Norman looked over at Emma who still looked pensive, and Norman sighed.

“Emma’s right, you’re acting way too serious,” Norman said, quietly sneaking up next to Ray, who was still leaning against the tree, completely absorbed in the book.

“What am I supposed to do, act like a total goofball like Emma?”

“Hey!”

Norman chuckled and Emma glared at him, Norman quickly halting his chuckles. They all sat in silence for a few moments, the only sound was the occasional turn of a page from the book. The other children from the orphanage ran around near them, laughing and having a fun time, completely unaware of the reality of their situation.

An idea creeped into Norman’s head after a while, and he grinned. He looked at Ray, who was nose-deep in the book and then looked at Emma, waving slightly to get her attention. Emma looked at Norman with curiosity as he gestured to Ray.

“Follow my lead,” He said, and Ray looked up from the book to glance over at Norman, who quickly pounced on the dark-haired boy, the book flying in the other direction.

“What - Hey, what are you doing!?”

They wrestled for a moment, Emma watching from the side, frantic and concerned at Norman’s sudden attack on Ray. She was surprised, however, when Ray’s laughter suddenly echoed around them.

She finally realized exactly what Norman was doing and her face lit up. Ray squirmed beneath Norman, who had his arms pinned to his chest as he scribbled his fingers up Ray’s sides, making him shriek with uncharacteristically loud laughter.

“N-Normahahahahahan! Stop it!” He wailed, squeaking when Emma ran over and latched her hands on his hips.

“Ehehehehehehemma!”

Ray covered his face in embarrassment, he would never get used to being tickled by his family. Norman snuck his hand under Ray’s arm, making him squeak.

“Stop covering your face!” Emma said, shoving one of her hands underneath Ray’s arm as well, her and Norman successfully making him bring his hands down as he tried to get their mischievous hands away from one of his worst spots.

They pulled away from Ray’s underarms, now going after new spots as Ray tried to keep both of them from tickling him, but to no avail.

“This is what happens when you’re too serious! Tickle tickle!” Emma teased, squeezing Ray’s hips as Norman danced his along Ray’s ribs. Ray clamped his arms down and tried to swat at Emma’s hands, but he could only do so much to protect himself against his ticklers.

Norman and Emma laughed along with Ray, it was always fun to see how sensitive he was to tickling. He was easily the most ticklish out of the three, and once they had discovered that, tickle attacks and tickle fights had become rather common between the trio. Ray was often the main victim of tickle attacks, much to his dismay.

Some of the other kids began to gather around at the sound of Ray’s almost yelling laughter as it echoed throughout the whole area.

“We’ll stop if you promise to get your nose out of that stupid book, right Emma?”

“Yup!”

“I-It’s not stuhuhuhuhuhupid! It’s importahahahahahant!” Ray wailed.

“Hey Ray, what happens when I tickle you… here?” Norman asked, fluttering his fingers against Ray’s neck, making him squeal and scrunch up his shoulders, Norman laughing along with Ray.

“Oh wow, you’re super ticklish here!” Norman teased, smiling widely as Ray shrieked, his face bright red from laughing and embarrassment.

Norman used his other hand to dig under Ray’s arm, making him clamp his arms down as Emma skittered her fingers all over his tummy. Ray arched his back as he cackled madly, squirming from side to side as he tried to fend off the horrible sensations.

“Geez, Ray seems more ticklish than last time,” Emma said, and Ray kicked his leg as she squeezed his knee.

“N-Nohohohot as much as y-you! Dihihihihihimwit!” Ray said, still cackling.

Emma gasped offendedly and Norman clicked his tongue, burying both hands under Ray’s arms again as Ray arched his back, squealing.

“Now now, Ray… You’re awfully cocky for someone who’s so ticklish. Especially considering what position you’re in right now~” Norman teased, wiggling his fingers around in an agonizingly ticklish way as Ray could do nothing but laugh, so hysterical at this point that he couldn’t even get a word out.

Emma pouted, still mad that Ray had called her a dimwit and she glanced towards his flailing legs. An idea popped into her head as she grinned, quickly running over to Ray’s legs.

“Dohohohohohon’t you dahahare! Emma!” Ray yelled, kicking his legs around and almost kicking Emma in the face. She dodged quickly and grabbed his ankles, sitting down on his shins.

“Hey Ray, I heard you liked eggs for breakfast!” She said, confusing both Ray and Norman.

“Whahahahahat the hehehehell do you m-mean?”

Emma balled up her fist and tapped his against Ray’s kneecap, then spread her fingers out slowly and ticklishly across. Ray tried to kick his legs around to avoid the tickles coming from Emma, but it was impossible with her sitting on his legs.

She squeezed the upper part of his knees now, and Ray just bucked as much as he could without hurting Emma. Norman continued to tickle Ray as well, skittering his fingers across his neck and then darting back under his arms, always keeping him guessing with a few occasional rib tickles or tummy pokes.

Ray’s face was bright red now, and tears were starting to prickle to corners of his eyes. His voice was almost hoarse from laughing, and some of the other orphanage kids were cheering around them as they watched Ray get tickled to pieces.

“Get him, Emma!” Don yelled as he walked by with Gilda, who looked over at the trio, obviously concerned. However, she continued on with Don, a few of the other children tagging along behind them as they went off to play a game.

Ray was embarrassed beyond belief. Here he was, getting the snot tickled out of him by his best friends in front of the other kids… He was never gonna live this one down.

Ray’s laughter eventually went silent and a tear was trickling down his cheek by the time Norman realized that they probably needed to stop.

“Emma, I think he’s had enough,” Norman said, quickly stopping his tickling. Ray continued to shake with laughter, as Emma kept scribbling under his knee.

“Emma,” Norman said, louder this time and Emma immediately halted, noticing the state Ray was in. She chuckled nervously as she got off his legs, crawling over next to Norman as they watched Ray panting.

“I-I hahahate you guys,” He said, some residual giggles still escaping his lips. Emma and Norman looked at each other and giggled.

“We love you too Ray.”

As a manga reader, can we like... stfu (tl:dr at the end)(ep 5 spoilers)

I mean, Norman was a fan favorite, I can get why they'd bring him back so early. Am I happy about it? Hell no, but I can kinda get it. Should we be recommending anime only watchers to read the manga? Sure, as long as we arent being aggressive with it or saying its the only way to enjoy the series. Are we allowed to talk shit on the anime and be upset? Fuck yea, we were very much cheated.

Should we be actively discouraging people from watching the anime simply cause we don't like the direction or feel its worse than the manga? No. Stfu. Let them enjoy their shit

Of course I'm upset but we have to remember that not everyone reads the manga. Not everyone feels the same. From the looks of it, anime watchers that aren't letting manga readers ruin their experience are extremely happy about this. Im not saying all anime watchers are happy. Many are confused (rightfully so, a lot of worldbuilding is missing), but some are happy about this. Let them enjoy this moment. Plus, reading ain't for everyone. Forcing people to only read the manga/shitting on those who don't is a very asshole move to do (and lowkey ableist but thats a whole different rant)

Manga readers for certain fandoms can be some elitist assholes and yall are very much borderlining on that label. Hell, yall dont realize how much shit you guys have spoiled or ruined for anime only watchers unintentionally. Certain jokes are funny and dont really spoil anything (vague joking about the ending being sad, making fun of the fish scene, etc)

(Manga spoiler) A big one I can think of is the yuugo reveal. Did we all just collectively forget that his name was only revealed like a few chapters after he died??? And just learning his name was a BIG thing too from what i remember!!! It wouldnt have had that impact on anime watchers. Why? Cause yall been shouting his name all over the general tag without spoiler warnings or anything. ()

At this point, im trying to be positive but I feel like theyre gonna black butler or tokyo ghoul this(both of which i havent read the manga :) ). Im just treating it as a spin off or completely different show with similar characters at this point. I dont think theyre gonna cut out everything completely (there's little hints of manga characters scattered a bit thoughtout the opening song) but we shouldn't expect the same character development at this point. Sad move yea but yk 🤷🏾‍♀️ youre allowed to not watch it, just dont be an asshole about it

Tbh, I feel like if we're gonna shit on the show, we might as well do it in a whole different tag now cause yall dont know how to act in the general tpn tag 🖕🏾 go get yourself together

Tl:dr - Despite the changes and disappointment manga readers are having, we shouldnt be actively discouraging people from watching it. Youre allowed to shit on it ir stop watching but yall are on thin ice because a lot of you have turned into some manga elitist assholes and youre not fun to interact with

❅A Love Letter I Have to My Lovely and Beloved Friends❅

(I just know that 30 july was a national friendship day and today is like 31 july already at where I am but,,, just pretend that this is also for National Friendship Day 🤡🔫)

As you all know, it's been confirmed that I'll be going on a hiatus two days from now that I really don't know how long it will go on. So, with that in mind, I wished to leave this message to all the wonderful friends I've made while I was active here on Tumblr during quarantine.

I've started this writing blog a few months ago, to be precise, on May where life in quarantine was starting to become a norm. In the few months until now, I did my best to start writing and drawing more using all the free times that I have.

I wouldn't have expected this blog to grow so much in such a short time. To me, it was really mind blowing, seeing that there's a lot of other great content creators here on Tumblr. Yet, the 300+ people who stumbled upon my blog still decided to follow me.

I was really happy to have made many contents that I'm actually proud of posting. And I still can't believe there are people out there who love them. Seeing every one of your comments and reblogs and likes really, really, squeezed my heart and I couldn't be more thankful for your support.

And during these fun times, I was able to make friends with many amazing, talented, fantastic and all the good words I could find in the dictionary people on here. You all are a real gift to me and I hold you guys close to my heart.

I still can't believe I was able to befriend you guys though, like, y'all are so amazing and I was just here like squeaking my name to you like a shy mice lmao. =///= Anyways, thank you for all the good and fun times. Thank you for being with me and helping me with lots of things. Just, thank you for everything. (I'm writing this at 1am like it's sad hours yall I'm crying :')))

If you are ever feeling down, do not ever forget that, even if it's only me, I'll support you to the end of the world because you're just so amazing and fantastic. I love you and never let any hate that's thrown at you let you down because they aren't worth your time.

The people I'll be mentioning below are my dear friends or just people that I have been interacting with during the times I was online, little or not, I still consider you guys to be my friends (very self-proclaimed here sorry)and I'm still honoured by that fact.

Hey guys

I just wanted to address this real fast for any of my followers who look through my TPN AUs at all—

I had an AU in which Emma herself was a cop, but in light of the recent events and my renewed hatred for the police, I went through and deleted every post under that AU that mentioned or depicted police. I want to stand by Black Lives Matter, and it grossed me out to think I had posts which in any way had positive depictions of police. Police are not our friends. They’re the enemy.

That’s all I’m gonna say on that for now, I’m not sure of myself on how well I can even articulate what I feel about this situation. For the most part I’m just going to be reblogging posts that explain the issues way better than I ever could.

As for the AU itself? Well it’s basically dead. There are still a few remaining posts that luckily steered clear from the subject of police, and they are now tagged under ‘#married au’ just in case anyone was still hoping to see them? I guess?

I’m going to be focusing on the Emma Ratri AU instead, because I do like it a lot. If anyone misses the other AU enough, then I guess I can give Emma a different profession and continue it as normal. But that’s uncertain right now. I hope you can understand.

Total rant that may trigger tpn fans, also spoilers

Oh god, the new chapter.

It does look action packed but I’m almost sure we are fooled again and everyone will be just fine. Emma being Emma and saying “Let’s go to Grace Field”, like, I know they eventually would but the same repetition over and over is getting too sour and making me bored. I bet everyone will be saved flawlessly and it’ll be all happy dovey. Also, Noremma scenes, b r o I just dooooooon’t like that ship, like, I’m not obligated to like that ship, I love Emma & Norman as characters but seriously, this is yet another lame thing, but like; since TPN getting very lame plot wise, I don’t think it’ll be a big surprise if they end up together, since that’s lame and predicted as well and hence quite suitable to the plots after goldy pond arc.

There ARE scenes I loved though, such as appearances of other characters like oliver, lambda gang, everyone in shelter, Don, Gilda etc.; a crowd kept chapter dynamic and drawings were good. Also the way they make the story flow in drawings & their plot line is good. It’s the plot itself that’s very disappointing, but Demizu did best she could to draw whaever she was supposed to; and she’s good, I don’t think Shirai is a bad writer either, I really don’t think, so maybe there are outside forces that makes the story have a stupid turn like it happened back in when Bleach was rushed to end (absurdly) by shonen jump? Maybe they are worried that now that they have a community it would not sell if they made big plot changes? I can understand, they make MONEY from tpn after all, they must have been seeing many more parameters; but like, why... I really, really don’t like the story and the chapters anymore, and it’s making me sad. I want to love them, I want to love TPN again, but all these gross Emma scenes that are based on zero logic pure author-favors-protagonist mood are just... killing my vibe so much... I can’t even take this show seriously anymore. How many times did the chapters end in a cliffhanger for nothing to happen later? Like, The Queen rised behind norman as a cliffhanger, then, it was Cislo who got his leg cut off, and then Queen died, so no danger. We panicked seeing everyone in shelter were lost but in the end they were brought to Grace Field, which means they all will probably be saved and we are just FAKED into an excitement again, no real issue going on. Even Norman’s breakdown was brushed away, like, not completely thankfully, but it... just... sorta... happened easily? Like how queen died by herself lol. Like, after building shit up for 150+ chapters maybe we expect some real thing to happen, lol. Or maybe that’s the message they are trying to give— “you dont need glorious shonen jump actions to do this,” etc, but idk.

Long story short TPN is disappointing again. I’m just sick of being annoyed as I read chapters where they leave a cliffhanger, solve the cliffhanger with NO PROBLEMS in next chapter, and leave another cliffhanger, and the cycle continues. Wasnt this supposed to be a psychological thriller or something lol. we are not kids, and clearly the audience isnt kids (wellll i wouldnt want children to watch tpn like wtf are they gonna do??? Fear their lives??? Tpn should be at least teen and up audiences, do u know how much trauma it could give to a kid if they learnted that technically, moms could sell them as food), but all the plot recently is like they’re directed to kids.

That’s why it’s best if I had no expectstions. I usually have no expectations on something unless I really love it. But ugh. Guess that’s what I get. I think I won’t read the next chapters until I prepare myself to accept disappointment.

And I hope, I H O P E, there comes a day where I reblog this post with good manga caps saying “GUYS I WAS WRONG, I WAS FOOLED, HAHAHA LOOK THEY DID THIS BRILLIANT PLOT TWIST AND WOW IM AMAZED”, but I really think that’s n out gonna happen. Either I’m being very fooled by Shirai or plot is super lame.

..You already know what I’m gonna ramble on about, right? What’s got us manga readers feeling a little bit like this? Yeah.. I have words.

Yes, I’ll be chatting about possible future spoilers, so scroll past now if you wish, but if you frequently check the usual tpn tags anywhere today (or over the next few days), I’m sure you’ve become quite familiar with this guy already, so.. here we go.

Let me start off by saying that I was beyond excited when we first found out we were getting a second season to this series. Having read the manga, I had high hopes that the anime would do so well, given the first couple arcs that follow the escape from Grace Field. From the very beginning, most of us figured it would touch upon the demon forest, the B06-32 shelter, Goldy Pond and quite possibly Cuvitidala. Of course, that was before we learned that this season had an episode count of 11 and would include some anime-only scenes, so we started to have some doubts. The new opening threw us through a loop as well, as a bunch of us speculated exactly how much this season was going to cover in terms of story and what chapter it would end off on. I was still a bit skeptical, but I put some belief in thinking we might be able to at least reach Goldy Pond. The more I thought about how many chapters this season could adapt, I remembered that Fire Force (another shonen series that has its fair share between action scenes alongside some calm, lighthearted ones) managed to fit 90 chapters into it’s first season, which was a total 24eps. I then thought it was possible for TPN’s second season to reach ch96, or maybe even ch101, since the total ep count for both s1&s2 would be 23. The upcoming arcs (GP especially) are undoubtedly more fast paced than the entire first season, which was very dialogue heavy, so naturally these action scenes would take up less time and require fewer episodes to show off. I won’t bash the second season for leaving certain scenes out and/or changing them (as the first season did this as well, albeit less noticeable), but the obvious ones come to mind. The full snakes of alvapinera scene? It was good to see the escapees overcome their first outside world obstacle on their own, sure, but overall it isn’t too important. Isabella’s scene at the gate with Grandma Sarah? Disappointing yes, but I figured they could always include that sometime later in a future episode.. at least, that’s what I’m hoping for. I can forgive the anime for those changes at the moment.. but after what episode 3 decided to pull? Oh no.. now they’ve done it!

I’m sorry.. but who exactly thought this change was a good idea? The anime-onlys must think we’re going crazy right now but c’mon, CLOVERWORKS! Are y’all for real right now?? Yeah they never even announced his voice actor beforehand like they did with Sonju & Mujika before their debut, but damn it! Also, don’t take my word for this, as I only just heard and not completely sure about the credibility, but apparently after ep4, the rest of the season will be like.. original? And I’m not sure how to feel about that if it’s true? I’ll take whatever content we get because yes, I love this series to pieces and want it to last as long as possible, but after waiting almost a full two years to see these wonderful kids animated again.. I just wanna continue on with the story we all know and love, darn it. I know Shirai is overlooking this season and giving his approval or whatever too, so that’s comforting at least.. but still, I just wish we knew this a little sooner, rather than have us find out this way by cutting out one of the most anticipated characters of this entire series! (for the time being anyways.)

Yeah we didn’t see him this episode, but he’s around.. somewhere. No one else is around to write on the walls like that, let alone get into the shelter without a pen. (i also noticed it doesn’t say “poachers” anywhere, so that’s a bit odd too..)

I just hope that whenever our man does show up, whether it be this season or not, that it follows the manga because his introduction is fantastic and his interactions with the kids are so amusing. Honestly, he’s too important to cut out entirely. The same goes for the Goldy Pond arc, which I saw some others worried about too. It’s at Goldy Pond (ch73) where Emma and another man, who we’re also anxious to meet, both find out about how to cross over to the human world via the four premium farms, the supporters, and project lambda7214.

I also saw some people concerned about Mujika’s goodbye to Emma this episode and how upon giving her the necklace, our demon friend didn’t hint at The Seven Walls at all, which is why Goldy Pond suddenly becomes that more important for us to see because it’s also there where the place is mentioned, not only by the many secret files from the pen’s cap, but from Minvera himself (ch72).

Come on now, Goldy Pond arc also does wonder for Emma’s character and appearance. It’s here where we see just how serious she is about changing the world and saving everyone she possibly can. Even if she has to fight crazy, killing poachers, she’ll do it. (also one of those poachers becomes very helpful much later in the story, so there, yet another reason we can’t skip this arc.) Though this all gets me wondering if GP will still get blown up on Jan 29th.. oh season two, you raise so many questions.

Now, could this season completely change some of those scenes even further? Of course, they’ve already done so with other bits of information. Ray figuring out the demon’s weakness in ch62 during the trip to Goldy Pond? Sonju already explained it.

The letter from Minvera that we learn about in ch56 which was originally hidden in one of the manuscripts from the shelter’s archive room? Conveniently pinned to the wall in plain sight!

I didn’t notice this when I first watched the episode but remembered just now while skimming through the manga yet again, but the episode didn’t have Gilda list off the coordinates to Goldy Pond that Minerva noted in his letter.

So how will the duo find their way there? Well, you already know.. and since GP is such an important arc, that’s another reason I believe our beloved man will show up.... eventually.

Going back to the changes now, but it’s Dominic who reveals the secret room behind the piano instead of our favorite father figure.

Although this room, which is supposed to be a full stocked armory, is completely bare..

Like.. hello? Where are all the weapons?? Are they gonna make these kids go out and raid a bunch of the other fake/dummy shelters for weapons or something? which.. actually sounds interesting and fun now that I think about it.

I also noticed that the conversation about the mass-production farms Sonju mentioned back in ch50 was also cut, but I can see the anime easily adapting it into a future episode somewhere, since said farms are mentioned again in ch56, courtesy of the shelter’s many books.

For now it just seems.. I don’t know, a bit easier? like I recently spoke about how Ray had to figure out how the pen worked in terms of coordinates and yet the anime just had the pen show a simple map, then Sonju flat out told them how to efficiently kill a demon, and the phone that allows them to contact the supporters? Oh, they found that instantly, whereas geezer had no idea such a room even existed in those 13 years he lived at the shelter..

Have I spoke too much by now? Probably. None of the changes bother me too much, aside from the geezer’s obvious absence, but I’m still looking forward to the rest of this season, as I’m sure it’ll give more spotlight to some of the other kids aside from Emma and Ray. Season one just did so well with sticking to the manga that I guess we all got caught way off guard, huh?

TPN 128 Reaction (and bit of analysis)

I have blocked 'TPN spoilers' tag since the leak is out, and I have been patient with my college to be over so I can watch and read the newest TPN with raw feeling. And booii it's worth it.

1. YESS, WE GOT TO SEE NORMAN'S POV. And he REALLY IS Normann, I'm so sorry for doubting you 😭😭😭 I'm so sorry for thinking of you as a villain, because I still can't erase my bias when in fact, you've been trying your hardest all this time, alone 😭😭😭

And I personally like his expression better than last chapter, because he really looks pained when he break it to Emma, when in last chapter, I feel like he looked disgusted by Emma's continuous naivety (Norman stan don't hate me, but I deserved to be hated, so hrodfbdk). Okay, correction. Norman last chapter is only tired of Emma's naivety.

2. THE COVER NOOO HE'S ALONE BEING WATCHED BY MANY ADULTS WHEN EMMA IS BEING SURROUNDED BY HER FAMILY'S LOVEE 😭😭😭

They both have gone through a hard life for the past almost two years, but their circumstances is completely different. Norman is alone, experimented by adults and demons, being treated like an object, completely ISOLATED. Emma is together with her family, and while her life is hard, she is surrounded by her sibling's love, and they're FREE. UgH

3. YESSS EMMA. TELL HIM! TELL HIM THAT GENOCIDE IS NOT A SOLUTION FOR ANY PROBLEM! Norman's expression is making me feel a little bad, but still GO EMMA!

4. While I support Emma's wish for not resorting into genocide plan a 100%, her thinking that they might get accepted into the human world is pretty... uh.. (Emma stan don't hate me) Maybe because I'm a pessimistic person overall. I'd like to believe in Emma's dream too. It's just that when you think realistically, when the cattle children suddenly pop up in human world, I think their appereance is gonna start a controversy. There's gonna be people who will be against them out of fear, there's gonna be people who will support them out of sympathy. Worst thing, they can start a war. Whether it's gonna be human vs demon all over again, or human vs human for cattle children's right, it's gonna be BIG.

But his reaction after hearing that isn't as bad as I expected. Like yes, he looked like he's seriously considering her words, but he didn't look so hurted either.

6. I am happy that Emma can offer another solution, but I can't help but laugh at the picture of her sharing Noble's blood with common demons.

Emma honey, I love you so much, but that's not how it gonna works. You're their everyday MEAL. They haven't see any alive humans before (except if there's common demon who was born before the promise), they'll only see you as stocks. And you can't just convince them directly to drink the blood.

Demons will be like, "The hell with this girl. There's a stock offering this weird blood thingy crap like some kind of of shady drug. There's no way this blood can stop us degenerating. Even if it's true, how can we satiate our hunger now if we can't eat human meat?" Norman is right on last chapter.

If you want to make them drink Musica's blood, you can't do that directly. It has to be done with another demon offering it, or trick them into drinking it (or maybe Emma needs to turn into some kind of goddes/hero to the demons so they can listen her willingly). And the process is gonna be long, we don't know how many demons out there. And you time is limited in TWO MONTHS, Emma.

And I haven't even talked about another flaws yet. Norman's right, it's a pipe dream (but with different reason, as stated above). FOR NOW. It's Emma afterall, maybe she can come up with something. And that's what I love about Emma, her positiveness is always radiating.

norman never really thought much about your hair

he just thought it made you unique

norman usually had to remind you to put your hair in a small bun like mama’s since it got everywhere

especially when you guys were playing tag-

norman has definitely wondered if you could put anything in your hair

obviously small things-

“y/n…can you- can you put things in your hair?”

“….”

if you could- expect to have some stuff in your hair

norman wants to ask if he could braid your hair or just brush it

but he’s too shy- so he would only do it if you asked him or if he finally had the courage to ask you

“hey- y/n, i was wondering if i could…. could i braid your hair?” norman shyly asked. “sure!” you said. norman’s face was flushed, he was very embarrassed about doing this. Norman wasn’t that embarrassed of braiding your hair- but of how close you two would be.

“do you know how to braid hair norman?” you asked the albino boy. “not really” norman stated. “oh well it’s easy, look this is how you do it” you said before getting closer to the boy. demonstrating how to do braids on the boy’s snow-white hair. “do you know how to do it now?” you asked norman. “y-yeah” norman stuttered out, pink covered his cheeks.

like norman, ray never thought much about your hair

to him it was just hair- nothing special

he would just use it to his advantage-

ray would pull strands of your hair and then just leave

he won’t even say hi or anything like that- just pull and leave

it’s even more easier since your hair’s so long- like he could pull anywhere

also when you wake up and your hair- this rude boy is always pointing out how it looks like a bird nest

of course, you know he’s joking- but sometimes it does get annoying and you just want to snitch on him to mama

“ray what are your thoughts on relationships?” you asked the raven. “huh- what do you mean?” ray asked. “like married stuff” you told the flustered boy. “i-i don’t know anything about that” ray huffed. “but don’t you read a lot of books-? don’t they have romance in there?” you pushed the boy to answer your question.

“no, shut up. i’m trying to read” ray scolded you. “no! i’m gonna be talking like this now!” you yelled at the boy. slowly getting up from the seat you were on and waddling your way near the boy. “so boring…aren’t you supposed to be smart” you whined, dramatically waving your hands in the air.

“shut up” ray pulled you by the hair. you fell on his lap, flustered by the position you were in. “go asleep idiot. you’re annoying” ray whisper yelled before going back to reading his book. “m’kay” you whispered. blush starting to spread around your cheeks. while a blush was barely evident on ray’s.

oh- emma loves your hair

she is constantly rambling about how pretty it is

emma has always had short hair so seeing you with very long hair makes her a little jealous

but she just adores your hair~

she constantly acts you if she could braid your hair

or just do random hairstyles on it

but it’s a little hard since your hair is quite- messy

emma tries to make you a little antenna so you could match- but it doesn’t work at all

emma is just in love with your hair and envy’s you for having such beautiful hair

“y/n~!” the orange haired girl ran into the room you were in. “yeah?” you called out for the girl. currently, you were helping mom bake some cookies. you had hoped for it to be easily made without interruptions. but that obviously wasn’t gonna happen in a household with 38- 39 people. most of them being messy toddlers.

“i was reading a book about your hair- and some hairstyles we could do!” emma rambled about what she had found with the help of jemima. you weren’t paying attention to her though- you heard some of the things she was saying, but you were more focused on the cookies in the oven. “can we try it?” emma asked.

“uh- sure” you said before getting pushed into a chair by emma. “wait- but the cookies” you whined, trying to get out of the chair. “don’t worry mom will do it” emma said. “she’s right y/n. i’ll do it, i don’t want to ruin the adorable moment you two are having either” mom sweetly said. “oh m’kay” you stuttered, a shade of red covering your cheeks.
