There's a really minor comment Mark makes in one of the final chapters of TQFTL about how starved Mewtwo² looks, but it's been living rent-free in my head for years. Does he ever get a chance to eat a real, full meal after all the spoilery stuff is done and over with?

He will feast on only the richest of delicacies from now on and make flower crowns in between stretching out in sunbeams like the big kitty he is.

Happy birthday to Dragonfree! This is actually much closer to on-time than I am most years. This year I was thinking about the "watercolor illustration" of the color dragons mentioned in the book Mark reads about the Ouen legendaries in Chapter 2 of The Quest for the Legends and decided, sure, I can give that a shot. I wanted to try an interpretation that was more or less in line with the picture as it's described in the story but was still a little different from the canon version.

I thought it might be fun to do some progress shots of this one, so here the painting is at various stages...

I have been rereading The Quest for the Legends and having a lot of Feelings about it again, and I couldn’t get the image out of my head of Jolteon and Letaligon looking like the tiny rabbit who was obsessed with a girl rabbit four times his size. I feel like I owe it to this fic to draw more fanart of it given how long I’ve loved it. Letaligon belongs to @antialiasis !  (They are probably still way out of proportion...)

Nineteen years ago, @antialiasis and I both sat down to write our first Pokemon fanfics on the exact same day.  We also proceeded to write the same fic.

Anyway, both fics feature a kid in way over their head who started their journey late because they failed a class, are both pretty good at Pokespeech, and both tried to catch a legendary and were chosen as a result, after getting put through excruciating pain first. At least Jade’s able to say that she hasn’t died yet. :P

I was going through my closet recently and wanted to share some fanart I found! I drew it when I was 13-14 years old for an art class.

It's a scene from Mark and May's battle in the League! I even tried to draw the Life orb her Flygon had around their neck. It made me smile remembering it, so I hope it makes you smile, too

What country is the Ouen region based on.

It's not based on any country. At the time, when I started the fic in 2002, I hadn't even heard about the canon regions having a correspondence with real-world locations, so finding some existing place to base it on wasn't something that ever crossed my mind. I just made something up.
