A few notes about episode 2.03 of The Legend of Vox Machina :
Glad they kept the flirting going between Kash and Keyleth. Wonder if there will be a kiss ?
the flashbacks on the twins aaaaaaaaaah. That's another thing I appreciated immensely in season 1 : both for Percy and Sylas & Delilah. Flashbacks can be overused, yes, but they're common for a reason in traditionnal media, where you can play with time (vs an actual play where everything is in the present) and quickly establishing a character, a motivation, a backstory !
Kash's "Earth Wind and Fire over here" : I laughed at the cut to Keyleth being entirely too cute when she doesn't understand he's talking about her.
and then Keyleth is Moses. YOU GO KIKI
I don't know why (maybe it was the exhaustion), but the joke with push/pull door got me crying with laughter. Doors ! the true ennemy.
Love that they did the separation from the Trials of the Take ! (minus Orion Acaba, Felicia Day and Wil Wheaton of course)
We got a certified Ashley Johnson's "BIG BOIIIIII"
Sam's delivery of "Oh ! Yeah, he fell off." made me laugh so much. The deadpan is strong in this one.
And then the end. Liam's sobs... the music...

Season 5 - My Wishes
Tumblr media
I wish to see June and Nick be able to spend some days together. Maybe in the woods, in a cabin, in no man's land ... but in a safe place. Even if, these days could look like: - plan meetings with Mayday, - meet people they trust who can help (or people who need to be help), - help harder the Resistance, - prepare plans for destroy Gilead, - organize more escapes ...
I think it will be a perfect honeymoon for these two. Even if, we all would love to see them on a beach at Hawaï. But if I talk about honeymoon it's because a lot of fans think when June comes to the bridge, in S4E03, it looks like she walks down the aisle to Nick. And at Gilead, we know a traditionnal honeymoon doesn't exist.
For me, the music Meeting on a Bridge (26:31 - 28:13) by the amazing composer Adam Taylor sounds like a beautiful wedding march for June and Nick.
I wish to see them will make up lost time since that closed door in S3E03.

Rainbow High series 4 predictions
Mila: moody, a bit bossy. Maybe an art direction focus. It would have been super interesting to make her the daughter of Ramona Barnes.
Meena: cheerful, popular. My guess is that she is a performing arts focus or an accessory design focus. I was convinced that she would be one of Karma's older sisters.
Delilah: shy and sweet, a real cinnamon roll. Maybe a bit nerdy. My theory is that she is either a journalism focus or a visual arts focus. She is friends with Georgia. I love her cottagecore fashion. I'm glad we got her instead of the pink boy.
Jewel: kind of a diva, loves drama, ambitious and cunning. She is an accessory design focus. Her best friend is the neon orange girl. I want her to be Daphne's friend, since Daphne loves gemstones. I'm pretty sure that people are going to ship Daphne with Jewel. She is from a wealthy family.
Coco: has a chill personnality but might seem intimidating at first. She is a mixed media focus. Coco is from a large city. Her and Ruby become close friends.
Lila: quirky and excentric. She will be a music focus inspired by kpop or a fashion focus who loves blending traditionnal clothing with modern accessories. Lila is from Tokyo. Sunny and her will become close friends.

ASTRO CONFESSIONS in my life rn
Hi!
As a scorpio mars and gemini venus but mostly a taurus sun, I must say that I LOVE flirting with my 3 crushes of the moment, and collecting hook ups or just dates.
So there’s Y, N, and sometimes H( boys that I accidentaly or not flirt with at first and now there’s kind of a sexual or romantic tension between them and me)
The most exciting or dangerous or idk part is that they know each others as team mates but, didn’t talk about me I think.
---> Y: cap cun, libra moon,scorpio venus,virgo mars:
This one is the ultimate aesthetic goal of my life, very money oriented, driven by his passion put in his work, strict dad energy, dom as fuck, and thanks to his taurus rising, a haaandsome man. I must say that he loves listenning to himself talk sometimes (a gym bro you know) but very smart. What I love about him is his kindness hiden by his tough side, his eyes( he has a look that just makes me want to be his little sub sometimes), his traditionnal yet logical and respectful way to see gender roles (even if we can call it a close minded point of view) but I get that, and he just sees in me a young and naive girl that he can take care of. He is calling my “my young and pretty’”. Yes. It just made my day.
---> N: scorpio sun, sagi moon, scorpio venus, aquarius mars:
Ooh girl. I wasn’t ready for this one. So shy at first, and very reserved. He is really caring when we see each other, the stare of the scorpio venus is not a legend. Really really quiet from time to time and just looks at me in my daily tasks like he is looking for something to happen I don,t know. Strong arms, loves travelling, horny, really into music and cooking, younger than me (20 y.o) and I just see a boy trying to be “the” man sometimes, and it’s cute: a good dom to become, but yet a child, strong, powerful and intense energy, just looking deep into my eyes makes him horny and looses his shit. He doesn’t know how to act so just doesn’t sometimes. I have a hard time reading him I must say. I have the feeling that this one is one of a kind, a creative, art appreciative, risk taking, and active boy. For me he’s like a diamond no one sees, and maybe he must control and acts more in the relationship we have, so I can take this one more seriously. Yes, he is my fave one.
---> H: cancer sun, aquarius moon,leo venus,leo mars
OKAY. SO. Cancer placements are not my favourites I must say (except cancer moon) and that is kind of weird as a taurus sun idk. Weedy surfer traveller cliché boy. Long hair, amazing voice, “you can tell me ANYTHING” “I’m here for you whenever you want to talk” but leaves you on read at the first text send, it’s insane. complains a lot, 2 faces bitch but yet adorable one( I hate this feeling when I hate and love something at the same time).  Throws his anger in private with raging eyes and will take 0 responsability for his action. Is dating a mom of 2, 10 years older than him. Thinks he is not made to be in a relationship anyway. A living paradox of wanting freedom and being co dependant in relationship. Rejects you before you can say anything. Sees right in your energy and how they can take what they want from you and leaves you just right after in forgetting your whole existence, it’s frustrating. Best sex ever. OUr night destroys me as much as it gave me life.
context: I’m a taurus sun, virgo moon, aquarius rising, gemini venus, scorpio mars, and aries mercury

Hey!! Jsyk, Heartworn Highways is a film that was filmed in the 70s and released in the early e80s iirc. It's a documentary (kinda) about the outlaw country movement from the 70s and it follows a bunch of country singers and musicians. It doesn't follow a traditionnal documentary format, it's very lyrical and kind of home-movie-y at times. It makes me cry everytime !!!!! What's blindspotting about?
I skimmed Heartworn Highways's wikipedia! I love that its main criticism was something like its supposed lack of form or focus, like I think half of the meaningful innovations in art get called formless in their time.
Blindspotting follows a Black man finishing his probation and his volatile white friend as their city is getting gentrified, told in very heightened language; it's essentially a musical but with spoken word and hip-hop and bay area slang instead of music.

Raking the GPF programs - junior pairs SP edition
6 - Sophia Baram/Daniel Tioumentsev - Bla bla bla cha cha cha, choreo by Cindy Stuart
Cute but I despise the song. Solid technically but imho not my thing.
5 - Chloe Panetta/Kieran Thrasher - If I Ain’t Got You, choreo by Julie Marcotte
The technical elements are a struggle which is a shame because in that field, Chloe and Kieran are definitely the most classy, for lack of a better word.
There’s a maturity to their skating, and certain abandon when they’re not struggling with the jumps, and throws, and the twist... Pretty much everything. Chloe was injured at the beginning of the season. And they’ve been skating what ? two seasons together, but ngl I’m not optimistic about their prospects.
4 - Haruna Murakami/Sumitada Moriguchi - Le Corsaire, choreo by Cathy Reed
Classical but nice. The jump requirement for the SP doesn’t allow them to showcase their ace which are stunninng SBS jumps, and puts their other pairs elements in the spotlight. It’s still a work-in-progress but they’re a very new pair.
Also best SBS spins of the field. So fast it’s a wonder.
3 -  Cayla Smith/Andy Deng - Summer of 42, choreo by Alena Lunin
Cayla and Andy have split just after the JGPF as Andy wanted to go to university.
While the tech content of that pair wasn’t the highest, they had some really nice skating skills and a decent musicality. Summer of 42 is starting to get overplayed imho, but it suited them well.
2 - Anastasia Golubeva/Hector Giotopoulos-Moore - Architects of the Mind, choreo by Galina Pachin and Jonathan Guerreiro
Music is whatever but I like the choreo, it’s all about coiling and snapping, enfurling like a snake, or like an accordeon. And kudos to them because the music is extremely fast paced and they are able to maintain that drive throughout the program. A really solid team and I cannot wait to see them next years among seniors.
1 - Violetta Sierova/Ivan Khobta - Vesna, choreo by Pylyp Zalevskyi
Hands down the best choreo for a short program of the season among the pairs, juniors AND seniors.
There’s just so much to love there, starting with the costumes, with Ivan in traditional Ukrainian vyshyvanka, and while the embroidered flowers on Violetta’s dress are in the colour of the national flag.
The music choice also is outstanding. We need more ethno rock/folk, and less Western pop music in figure skating. And that song genuinely slaps. Please if you can have a look at the lyrics, they are beautiful, and in the context of the war, became even more haunting.
And finally the choreo is chock full of little details, lovely transitions, all taken from traditionnal dances, the hops, and turns and the moves.
Violetta and Ivan do need more speed, attack and projection to make that short really sing, so I hope they’re going to keep it for the next season and refine it.

Haingosoa, Edouard Joubeaud, 2020
Tumblr media
