TSME WEEK 2024 Day 2 prompt: "Dragon" (Dragon Type!)

This is very much a "what if" scenario, but i often think it'd be fun for Iris to finally go against a Charizard that is a Dragon Type. I also feel that Alan can learn things from Iris, in the specific way she communicates with her mons. She doesn't use Mega Evolution but isn't her understanding of Dragon Types another kind of strong bond?

Day 3 - Alternate Outfits (and also days 1 & 2 - pokemon and family/friends)

I missed the first two days, but I wanted to participate today at least! Emmet slaying in a fun mesh top I found online, and hanging out with Ingo and Iris! I see Iris as technically the twins' cousin with Drayden adopting her and being the twins' biological uncle. But he also adopted the twins, so the three of them all just sorta consider each other siblings too.

Anyway, I had fun coming up with outfits for each of them, and I love the idea of these three getting together to hang out, do each other's nails, and have snacks. I just think it's sweet! 🤍💜🖤

Because Pokemas gives people CHOMPERS and more often than not it's Dragon Trainers (Raihan, Zinnia, Iris...) then my shiny new hc that possessed my thoughts is that All Dragon Type Specialists have Fangs and Claws and as such it's incredibly easy to spot when someone has a Dragon BF/GF/SO due to sheer sustained damage from closer encounters :3c

Can I project for a second?

What if the reason that Iris acts rude at first is because she just thinks that's how social interactions are supposed to go?

Because that's how I was as a (autistic) kid - my classmates picked on me and were popular and well-liked, so at some point I figured that if I started picking on my classmates, then people would laugh along and begin to like me.

Safe to say, that did not happen and I learned better, lol.

But think about how Iris only had one friend from her hometown growing up, and how she struggled to fit in with her classmates because she was seen as a "troublemaker."

To be fair, the flashbacks only show other students politely refusing to play with her. But if I fill in the blanks with students whispering, snickering and making jabs at her when she "acted out" in class, then her early-series behavior - like calling Ash a little kid an excessive amount - starts to make more sense to me.

And although Ash bickers with her at times, his and Cilan's kindness proves to Iris that no, social interaction doesn't have to go like that, that it's okay for her to let her walls come down and be vulnerable!!

This is just a loose idea I have, so no worries if you don't agree! I just love how complex Iris's character is and I relate to a bunch of it. Whatever you think, there's way more depth to it all than her just being mean for the sake of it, and I wish more people appreciated that!

I finally got the drawing for day 2 done. My hand hurts but I'm gonna go play some Cafe remix anyway.

I kinda messed up Dawn's hair because I couldn't find the right pencil. So it is post-hisui.

So Drayden being the twins uncle, with Iris being their younger cousin (in the games iris is adopted by Drayden, ive only watched the anime havent played bw or bw2). Now this is my headcanon, Eri is the sister of the twins (idk I just get that kind of vibe). Of course we can't be without Elesa and Skyla too. And how can we not forget Sneasler and Dawn. I like to think that Sneasler left one of her kits in the care of who was taking the role of warden, and Dawn wanting to stay in touch with her friend outside of sinnoh.

Sorry for the rambles I tend to get to invested in explaining things.

Anyway, I'm gonna go play Café Remix even though it is currently 10pm for me.
