can we talk about how demoralizing it is as a non transitioning trans person to have to come out over an over and over.

it’s so disheartening to know myself as I am, and have the actualization of that be entirely at the whim of people who never do it organically. I hate people being incredulous about my gender. I hate it being so hypothetical when to me it’s so natural and apparent.

I am a man, I’m a man and I look nothing like a cis man. I have tits and long hair and I like earrings. and that has never been a contradiction. my long hair is because my brother has long hair, and my chest is soft, and I love shiny things. I’m just me.

I hate having to make excuses for the parts of myself. to divide myself from myself feels like a betrayal. my long hair, my singing voice, my wide hips are all part of my manhood, are all part of me. they don’t make me less of a man, they don’t subtract from each other. they’re additive, all working in harmony to make the person I am.

it’s humiliating and tiring, to have to tell people every time.
