As far as I’m aware, there is no Star Wars Top Gun au and that makes me very sad. Can we please stop for a moment and imagine Luke Skywalker as a trans queer navy pilot? Can we imagine the sexual tension he could have with the several naval pilots around him including, but not limited to, Biggs Darklighter, Han Solo, and Din Djarin? Can we imagine the sheer gayness of Luke surrounded by muscular men playing football on the beach? Can we imagine the drama that ensues when Luke discovers his father, the esteemed ex-naval officer who was presumed dead, is now a terrorist? Please, for my sake, someone write this fic.

i should sleep but i need to talk about the skywalker family and their chromosomes

it starts out a little silly but i promise i get deadass once i start talking about luke and how he was born.

now, it all starts with anakin.

anakin had no father, his mother birthed him like he was jesus (jesus intersex representation?? 😨 that’s another story) and she could only give him X chromosomes. that means either anakin didn’t have chromosomes, he had two X chromosomes, or he had just one X chromosome. considering his mother birthing him and his fatherlessness (loser), it’s most likely that he had a single X chromosome. therefore he was intersex.

now he probably still had cock and balls (derogatory), otherwise he couldn’t have had kids with padme. if the jedi order had a sex ed class (they probably did tbh), then anakin would probably know or realize that he only had one X chromosome, and therefore he realized he’s intersex.

as much as i love the idea of non-binary anakin- let’s be real guys. anakin would be those types of dudes who, when asked what their pronouns are, would answer with “nor/mal”. people would mention his beauty or his feminine demeanor and he’d be like “i’m not gay”. or something like that. i’m projecting my homophobic brother’s personality onto him. they’re very similar and i’m not particularly fond of either of them. at least, not anakin in the prequel movies.

anyway so onto luke.

it gets serious here.

since anakin only had one X chromosome, and padme had XX, then both of them contributed an X chromosome to their children. they literally couldn’t be able to make a biological male child. if they did end up having a male child, they would either have to be also intersex, or trans.

leia and luke were both born with XX chromosomes.

“but olly! in the movies, they said luke was a boy when he was born!” ah wonderful observation, my silly little padawan.

obviously star wars “humans” aren’t clearly “humans”, rather aliens as well. so likely their biology might differ from irl. but if we were to ignore that and consider all the possibilities, we could come up with a logical explanation.

obviously the technology in the star wars universe is very advanced, at least more advanced than the options we have available. i think the topic of gender and sexuality isn’t even a real thing in the universe. gender is a social construct, right? and clearly with the different aliens, races, and religions in the universe, the discussion of what “gender” is wouldn’t technically apply anywhere because gender isn’t real.

back to the technology part- i’d like to think the universe at that time would be able to find out a child’s “gender” or orientation by examining their brain when they are born. according to this study by Dr. Julie Bakker in how trans peoples brains correspond with the gender they identify as, regardless of how they were born, it can be understood that even from a young age, trans people think and process the same way cis people would within their respective identity/gender.

i think it would make the most sense that when luke and leia were born, they were given brain scans or something of the sort to determine what their gender/identity would be, regardless of how they were biologically born.

therefore we get luke’s “gender reveal” in the movies, even though he was likely born as a biological female.

basically trans luke is canon, y’all are just cowards.

so the whole skywalker family only have X chromosomes. until we get to ben solo. because of Han’s Y chromosome, ben would’ve been born as a cis male (derogatory).

that’s why he became evil. it’s bc his whole family is trans and he was kicked out for being cis.

Writing a fic where the main changes are that Obi-Wan and Cody and Luke all moved to Alderaan with Bail and Breha and Leia after the war, and Vader never destroyed Alderaan. So post-Empire, Alderaan opens the first temple the galaxy has had in over 25 years and five years later Luke and Leia are going over the semester’s teachers they have to put into rotation (with Cody and Ghost Ben living with them at the temple because Breha and Bail can’t stand the twins being alone (either sets of twins, they have two sets, one of which is Obi/Cody war babies who were born nearly a year before Luke and Leia, and they’re off with Uncle Rex and Auntie Soka to see the rest of aunties and uncles rn) when Luke suddenly starts getting sick. Like throwing up all the time sick.

Well, Leia and Ben take one look at him and go ‘oh he’s pregnant’ and so they make him take a pregnancy test and Luke is so sad about it that Leia giggles and takes one in commiseration too, only to come out of the bathroom with her own positive test and it’s. So. Funny.

Also like ten minutes later Din gets there to pick up Grogu for hometime (baby is coming with him to Nevarro for a month at least they deserve to still have their house maybe a couple months out of the year Grogu solidly lives there with Din and they visit the rest of the year because they can holocomm into classes okay Grogu deserves both a home and schooling lmao) when he asks why Luke looks like shit (Ben gave him Stewjoni pregnancy tea and it’s the first time he hasn’t been clutching his stomach praying to keep something down all day so that’s saying something) and Luke is all ‘I’m pregnant’ and Din’s FIRST fucking reaction is ‘it’s not mine’ shfkeiejordjdonr ‘okay???? I have a wife it’s hers’ ‘oh thank god’ ‘why did you feel the need to tell me it wasn’t yours????’ ‘I have had some weird interactions in the galaxy and it’s really weird cause I don’t have a sperm making part’ ‘…you’re trans??’ ‘Yes.’ ‘…so am I.’ ‘…huh. I sorta just assumed you were Stewjoni like that ghost that follows you around…’ ‘…my relation to him is through adoption.’ ‘Oh. Well. It’s not mine. Congratulations on the new tumor.’ ‘Thanks’

And through this interactions they are now the bestest BFFs ever.

I'm never going to shut up about how Anakin Skywalker is either trans or intersex.

Doesn't have a father so he can't have a y chromosome which means that either he is AFAB but but is a trans man

Or he is an AMAB with XX or just X chromosomes.

But he cannot be XY

He might look to anyone who sees his body to seem to be XY but genetically he'd be XX/X

All evidence suggests that he is probably able to produce viable sperm the weather that is through medical transitioning or the force giving him that ability is unclear.

Still he would be producing sperm that can only carry an X chromosome because he doesn't have a Y to give

Which means that because Luke is not created by the force magic he has to be a trans man because Anakin can't give him a Y to be a cis man
