oh are you a trans exclusionary? :( hence all the HP content?
As my pinned post says:
"I believe in no figure enough to tell someone what they can or cannot do with their meat suit." And i will add or their lives.
This includes pretty much anything. Marriage, body autonomy, trans rights, abortion, politics, sexuality, racism.
I hate that no one can enjoy a book series that shaped them without a disclaimer saying "I do not agree with JKR nor support any of her ideological views. Nor am I a terf trying to disguise as a ally in order to lead you into a false sense of security for a Gotcha! Moment."
Like that is a lot of energy and frankly this depressed person does not have the time for it.
Literally my depression and anxiety ass and life in general is too fucking short and fucked up enough to worry about what people on the internet think of me.
Like I have never supported her ideology, I have never approved of her views against the people she excludes or is trying to make life harder for.
"But you post HP content?"
I posted things made by fans. Meta about interesting characters, lovely fanart/writing/ideas that people took time and effort to do and they're amazing.
I also adore Alan Rickman to the end of this earth and will always view him as Snape. I will always see the passion and care and love he put into his art.
I love Maggie Smith and the other people that brought me joy and still does.
Do I know i can never truly separate the artist from the work? Yes and it makes me sad that those in the HP Fandom have to live with this target, under this microscope, even if they themselves are trans, or NB or queer or cis. Or however they identify themselves.
I personally do not care what is between your legs or what you call yourself, because for only 12 weeks a year I care that I have a uterus. Otherwise Idgaf.
You can call me anything you want, really nonny, and it will be fine.
Also not that it really matters because I don't know who you are. But one of my good friends from high school is trans. And I think about her regularly because she was amazing and I loved her because at that point in my life I wanted to die and she was one of the few people that made me go another day.
Trans men are men and trans women are women and nonbinary people are valued by this blog.
If you think I support JKR because I post about fake people doing fake things in fake scenarios then...🤷‍♀️.
After the hell year that was 2020, HP was about the only thing i could return to and not feel the weight of grief suffocating me.
So yeah its problematic and I'm sorry you feel as if I agree with her because I really don't.
But as always the block button and unfollow are free.

Here's my small contribution to @snapeloveposts trans Snape week, day 2: Shopping.
I can't draw so this low-quality board (I'm sorry!) will have to do. Transfemme Snape trying on new clothes and jewelry, with myself (well, mostly my hands) as Snape.

Day 1: Reflection
On reflection, Severus’s name was kind of prophetic. She was a severe woman, and always had been, even growing up. Her father had always strictly enforced toxic masculinity, making her keep her hair chopped off, masculine clothes, and beatings if she even put a toe out of line.
She had always hated him. Even more, she hated the person he’d forced her to be.
Childhood was miserable. Hogwarts was miserable. Lily, his first friend, had been the only bearable thing about it. It wasn’t exactly the golden years.
When she returned to Hogwarts, it was like breathing for the first time. Becoming a teacher was the best decision she’d ever made. It was the first time she’d been allowed to be herself. She’d been in the dark for so long, she hadn’t imagined life ever being suffocating, let alone that anyone could give a shit about her survival.
Yet somehow, here she was. She grew her hair out, wore makeup, and started wearing robes that alleviated her dysphoria.
But when she looked in the mirror, she still saw a haunted past. She wondered what redemption could even mean. Yet as the years rolled by, and she started to see the lines on her face, she realised she was growing old gracefully.
Gracefully. The one thing she had never been.
"Severus."
Minerva McGonagall, rival Head of House that she was, was also the closest thing to a friend she had now. Severus stayed away from friendship, but McGonagall was a rare exception. They were both severe, but carried a duty of care.
"Minerva."
“A word?”
She followed McGonagall to her office. Once inside, McGonagall charmed the door closed.
“What is this I hear about you not teaching Potter Occlumency anymore?"
As Severus spoke, McGonagall walked around behind her desk and sat down.
“I have nothing more to teach the boy."
“What fool thing did he see?”
McGonagall knew not all of her secrets, but enough. She knew that Severus was a woman, and was one of the few people she could be herself around.
But she did not need to know this.
“I removed all memories that I wished to keep from prying eyes. Yet Potter, arrogant fool that he was, went prying anyway. I cannot teach a boy who invades my privacy like that. I simply won’t do it."
“I understand,” said McGonagall. “But these are orders from Dumbledore−"
“There are some things even Dumbledore isn’t entitled to. This is one of them. Besides, he was once willing to risk my safety and wellbeing to keep Lupin and his egoist friends at Hogwarts. Contrary to popular belief, I don’t owe Dumbledore anything. I help him for my own reasons."
McGonagall knew better than to argue. “Then I’d keep a close watch on the boy from now on, Severus.”
“I always do.”

Trans Snape Week, Day 3: Hair
for trans snape week, run by @snapeloveposts Day 3, Hair: Lily fusses over Sev’s hair. Sev brushes them off. Read on AO3 here. CW: dysphoria, shitty friends, coping with dysphoria via apathy
Lily fusses with her hair incessantly. It bothers Sev, though they do not quite understand why. It is not just the soursick smell of hair spray. Nor is it how the texture changes, and her hair gets stiff and shiny, or alternately dull. It bothers Sev that Lily cares so much, and Sev can’t be arsed. They’ve let their hair grow long, and have center-parted it and let it fall in curtains. It is not a style statement, they just do not care. They know it would look fine if they washed it, but they just cannot care. It grows long, it grows scraggly, and it grows shiny in an unpleasant way, and Sev cannot be arsed.
Lily is irritated by it, and so is Tobias, and so is Eileen. Eileen brews haircare potions rather discreetly in Spinner’s End and sends them. Sev ignores the packages. Tobias just sneers. That in particular barely registers. Sev has been ignoring him for years. Lily, though, is nasty, in a way that makes her utterly Petunia’s sister. “You look like a bum,” Lily says. “You look queer. No one can tell if you’re a boy or a girl. You look weird.” Sev glowers at her from behind their curtains of long, greasy, black hair. “That’s the point,” they say. “I don’t care.” Lily scoffs. “You should care. Maybe you wouldn’t get so much shit if you just put in a modicum of effort. Made yourself look presentable.” “Look?” Sev is amused. “Well, you’ll never actually be presentable, Sev. I’m being realistic. Look at the sight of you! Hair that dark shouldn’t have a green sheen.” Sev raises an eyebrow. Lily is a bitch, but Sev is an asshole, and they can brush this off. She’s not as bad as Petunia, and she’s no worse than Narcissa or Mulciber. “It’s fine how it is,”they say. It is fine as it is because changing it would demarcate a position, and Sev is determined to stick in the craw and make themselves unpalatable. They want to see everyone blink and stare again when they realize that they are not, they are neither, the hair is a trick to draw them in and make them think. Who has time to fuss over hair anyway? The less time Sev spends on their appearance, the less time they are angry about it. The hair is a statement. They will not be fixed. There is nothing to fix. Their hair is just growing, and though Lily won’t shut up about it, they’re as pleased as they can be.

Day 2: Shopping
Severus had spent her life wearing too-big hand-me-downs and tattered boys’ clothes and wizards robes. She had been living poor, and then living the life of a Death Eater.
Now, she had begun to earn an honest living, and she could afford something more.
With each cheque that came in, she spent buying robes. A frock coat here, a dress there. With each year that passed, she started to feel more like herself.
For the first few years of her new career, she taught students who already knew who she was. They found every excuse to badmouth her, but none more hurtful than her gender presentation. Being herself was hard enough; being an open trans woman made it even harder.
They saw the pain in her eyes when they did it, and that only made it worse. Soon, it became a focused attack. There was only one defence: to become so cruel that they wouldn’t dare continue with their attack. She had to shift their focus onto something personal to them.
That was the day she started bullying children. She would find insecurities, beloved pets, weaknesses, and exploit them. She would find something else for them to hate her for. Anything but that.
She was used to being hated. Even comfortable. It was what she knew, what felt natural. Being loved isn’t something she was destined for. All she needed was to protect herself.
So she began dressing more conservatively. She kept the frock coats, and all the flowy things that gave her euphoria. But she made herself less of a target, and more of an impressive figure.
This was who she was. Dark, brooding, dramatic, and gothic. She was all these things, and still a woman. She would not apologise. But for her reputation, she had to compromise.
Still, it was the closest to happy she had ever gotten. It was also the closest she was ever likely to get.

Trans Snape Week Day 5: Name
for @snapeloveposts‘s Trans Snape Week Day 5, Name: With Lily dead, there’s no one alive to call them Sev. Read on AO3 here.
There is no one still alive who calls them Sev. The students call them Professor. The other teachers call them Snape. It is as if they’ve buried that name with Lily’s body, under that insipid statue, under the endless winter snow and sleet, and Snape says good riddance. Gone with her is the past, and the story of an old name. There are places to go and people to meet. Sluggy encourages them to go out, and to explore both sides of their life. What goes unsaid is that Sluggy made a mistake with Riddle and told him to stick to the Wizarding World. For Snape, though, Sluggy says, “You’ve got your on the threshold, Professor Snape, and you’re still young. While Lucius Malfoy brought you up in the world, you should keep yourself grounded. Go out for the weekend. Meet people you don’t know. I don’t want to see you in the lab. You’re young, and you have a life to live.” Unlike Lily, or Barty, or Bella, or even Sirius Black, Snape has been given a clean slate. So they go out. They go to a show, some shitty punk band that cannot afford to smash their guitars. They find some anonymous faces with whom to dance. The night blurs, bass burning into their bones. That is all they can feel, really--the scream and the screech and the laughter. Heated and head whirling, they head outside for a smoke. The night has an edge of snow to it. They inhale deeply, coughing slightly on the car exhaust. Some bloke comes up and offers to light their cigarette, and they, amused, let them. They scan him for revealing details. Is he a chaser? What does he think they are? But the guy’s just chatting, a friend of the band, he likes their jacket. “What’s your name?” he asks. Snape exhales that acrid smoke and resists the urge to show off. They let the smoke dissipate. “Snape,” they say. “Just Snape.” “Snake?” the guy asks. “Cool shit.” Snape cracks a laugh: close enough. “The band’s shit,” they say instead of correcting him. “The next one’s good,” he says. “Called The Cure. Goth-rock. You into Siouxsie and the Banshees? They’re going on tour with them.” Snape lets him take them back inside, and there’s the next act, barely their age, if at that, and they feel a hint of rage that their lives are so much more fun. Then the band starts, something that reminds them of surf-rock almost. “I tried to laugh about it, hiding the tears in my eyes,” they sing, “because boys don’t cry.” The guy is really into it, bouncing his head along and singing the lyrics under his breath. Snape shifts with the music, enjoying the scene. They’re a lot more polished than the group before, and they like it. The music creeps into their ears and burns into their brain, twinging their bones. It’s good to be with people their own age, who don’t give a damn, who just like the music. There’s no war on the dancefloor, and certainly none of their students or their parents in the muggle world. Here, they’re just Snape, and they can begin writing the story of a new name.
