Hey there, Dolls and my army of 17-24 year old he/theys who follow me on here, I’m sorta thinking about doing another single while I finish up the album. What kinda music are we in the mood for?
Also I numbered the songs about the super hero because one of my other singles, “To Fall From Great Heights”, was the 3rd (III) chronologically in that story.

Egg as he is introduced in worm
Tumblr media
if he represses ///// after she comes out
Tumblr media Tumblr media
Egg is one of the more powerful case 53s, and eventually if he got on a team he’d probably get a tinker maintained super suit because he basically has no defenses of his own
my idea is that when egg comes out, she realizes she can inhabit the feminine body which she can conjure, that it’s in fact her real body, she’s a changer first with a master power piloting the body “egg”.
I think second triggers for case 53s are rare (? Idk) but I think it’d make sense in this case
she becomes a tinker and can collapse her (gigantic, 10 foot tall) angelic form into a tiny little robot body… cool for stealth, but once she’s in the ‘bot it breaks down pretty quick, can’t contain her amazingness. She can build bigger bots, but she’s less expert at it. She mostly make cool cute toys, treats it like painting a little gundam or warhammer, and she’s a little sad when she has to break them for a mission, so she mostly does the badass battling up front. Maybe the bots can have real lasers too
*truly drew this bc eggvangelion popped into my head

The fun part about writing trans superheroes is that, technically, you don't have to give them deadnames.

Hi!
This is the official introduction post for my superhero series, Galleon! This’ll be a list of the main characters and their basic roles, as well as pronouns and important places.
This takes place in St. Louis, Missouri, because despite being the city with the single largest crime rate in the USA, there aren’t any superhero stories set there?
Cadence Stover, she/her. Superhero.
VJ, they/them. Secondary superhero.
Galleon, pronouns change. Supervillain.
Aug, he/she. Antihero.
Soren, he/they. “Henchman.”
Salem, she/her. “Henchman.”

I love the concept of Gwen being trans because it implies the following conversation
Gwen: I’m a girl
Her dad: of course, I love and accept you, what do I need to do to help you with this
Gwen: I’m also spider woman
Her dad: absolutely NOT

Everyone knows that superpowers come about through three distinct methods. One can be born to their abilities, see them emerge in a moment of great strife, or acquire them through extensive cybernetic augmentation. Everyone is wrong. You’d know. If only that knowledge—and your snazzy slash horrible powers—didn’t come with a host of strings attached. Too bad that was an offer you couldn’t refuse. Did I mention one of the strings was supervillainy? Thrown headlong into a life of crime, balance conflicted loyalties, personal scars, and navigating a web of secrecy and deception, all while maintaining your cover. Above all, remember to drink your Juice. Your life depends on it.

Talking about my new album, "Ganymede Gives Up The Ghost", part 2!
Today we're talking about a song you've heard: my most recent single, "Charm Quark."
It's a song about becoming who you're meant to be, and how that comes with a lot of excitement and optimism, but also a lot of fighting, sleepless nights, and struggle. It's the first chronological installment of a
3-part story about Our Hero (aka Nuestra), a 19 year old trans girl who becomes a superhero to protect her home of Ybor, Florida.
Why's it called "Charm Quark"? Well, I was watching a @scishow episode when I wrote it, and I loved the imagery of a single brick that's heavier than the whole house. That's what it feels like to be trans, especially when you're still in the closet. To just contain so much more than feels possible.
If you've been paying attention, you know the lyrics by now, but here's some of my favorite lines from it:
"Big dreams, sweet revenge on the flowers blooming in between my friends
Big dreams, tall tales that I tell myself when my ambition fails.
Have you heard this one yet? Have any questions about it? Lemme hear it!

Book Review: Dreadnought by April Daniels ✨🏙️⚡️
Tumblr media
rating: 🌕🌕🌕🌕🌕
(5/5)
After Dreadnought, the world’s greatest superhero, is killed in combat, closeted trans girl Danny Tozer inherits his powers and is transformed to have the body she’s always wanted to have. Now she has to deal with having superpowers and being an out trans woman, all the while hunting down the supervillain who murdered her predecessor.
This book was phenomenal, and I’m kind of at a loss for words to describe how much I liked it.
To start, I love the world of this book. This is such a classic superhero story. Daniels uses the conventions of the genre without making things feel like a parody and subverts tropes just enough to make the story distinct.
I also really love Dreadnought as a trans narrative. This book doesn’t shy away from transphobia. Between Danny’s parents, kids at her school, and other heroes she meets, we get a pretty broad and realistic representation of the types of abuse a young trans woman might face. There’s also so much trans joy in this book. It was really nice to see Danny come into herself, and it was cathartic to watch her realize that no one could take her transition away from her. This is the type of story that will give trans kids hope for the future.
I would recommend this book to literally everyone. In fact, I plan on recommending this book to literally everyone. But because that’s not helpful, I’ll be more specific and say I highly recommend this book to fans of Andrew Joseph White. Obviously, it’s very different from his work, genre-wise, but I think the themes are really similar. If you like Hell Followed with Us and The Spirit Bares It’s Teeth, I can definitely see you liking Dreadnought.
