To me, being trans is one of the most incredible blessings a human can receive from HaShem. From the moment we take our first breath, we are given the wondrous opportunity to mould ourselves b'tzelem Elohim–in the image of G-d. Every day we get to decide what b'tzelem Elohim means for us; we get to lovingly form ourselves like clay, every iteration a reflection of the Divine all on its own, into the image… the person that HaShem always knew we could become.

there's always a lot of talk about how being gay or trans is a "sin." and a lot of people have reclaimed this, have joked about their "sin," have held it up yourself so it can't be held against you.
but to all of the religious queers, the ones trying to find or create a home in themselves where their identity and their religion don't contradict... i see you. i've been you, i am you, i love you.
your orientation is not a sin.
your gender is not a sin.
you are not sinful or wrong or bad just for being who you are.
your identity does not contradict your religion.
you are beautifully and wonderfully made, just as you are.
you are loved by your creator, just as you are.
nobody can take any of that away from you.
[ please do not tag or censor my use of the word queer. do not derail this post by talking about how much religion sucks. ]

like the reason jkr denied book burnings of trans medical books isn't even antisemitism, it's because she refuses to acknowledge trans people existed in the past.
is it holocaust denial? yes, that's a documented event that happened as part of the holocaust, and she's denying it. but why do you care? because it's about you, it's about her engaging in holocaust denial to deny trans identities, not about her actually denying a part of the holocaust.
some of you don't even care the reasons those books were burned is because they were written by a Jewish doctor and Nazis saw gender affirming care as a Jewish conspiracy to weaken the population, you're only mad we lost years of trans research, and that a terf is denying that.
you don't care about the holocaust, you don't care about holocaust denial, you don't care about Nazi book burnings, you care Nazis burned these specific books that relate to your identity and that one popular terf is trying to say that never happened.

Went out to goth club last night. Got to use a lipstick that I don't get to wear often which is this beautiful deep metallic brown/green called Metallurgy from Portland Black Lipstick Company. Dress from Nerdy Keppie, @vaspider on tumblr.
Edit: forgot to mention my earrings are from the Women Helping Women Beadwork instagram page. They sell beadwork made by incarcerated indiginous women in Canada and 100% of the profit goes directly back to the incarcerated individuals. Highly recommend checking them out.
Had a great time dancing with my mom, and ended the night by throwing a cup of water in my asshole dad's face. Definitely a good night.

Trans Jewish culture is being pissed at people on social media acting like Judaism is more progressive and trendy tiktok version of christianity instead of its own religion with its own ideology and a fundamentally different world view that is practiced differently than Christianity and has its own systematical issues including transphobia
Kinda feels like an erasure of the struggle a lot of trans Jewish people go through
It is quite frustrating that Judaism often exists in the minds of gentiles as Christianity lite. There are many complex experiences to being Jewish, and navigating prejudice is definitely one of them.

I’m yet to meet a convert to judaism who’s not transgender. There’s something so trans in the conversion soup. Does judaism not allow cis converts? Did I not know that?

not enjoying the antisemitism of some trans people in regards to transphobic legalisation i understand it is scary but saying "this is a trans genocide but they cant kill all trans people like they tried to kill all jews bcs there will always be more of us" is an. interesting (very bad) take.
