#transitioning

If you are transitioning (medically or socially) be patient with yourself! It will take time to look/be the way you imagine yourself. 💫

💫Remember that you will find it harder to see how far you’ve come, and that it isn’t a race! No matter where you are along your transition you are valid and still worthy of respect. ✨

So i’m a trans bloke who has been on this hell site for 5 years now, and I’ve noticed that a few people who are following me are trans guys in their late teens/early twenties.

I just want any of my younger followers to know that if they have any questions about going on HRT, I’m always here to chat. Or if you want to vent/need any advice about transitioning, I’m here to help and offer any words of wisdom.

It’s really hard going through it alone, so I just want you to know that you aren’t alone, and good times are coming, I promise <3

Looking for a best friend…

who is trans… and my shoe size and can tolorate the sun and cooks cause I don’t like to but I could keep you company while cooking. And who I can write stories about and even if we were broke besties we would have fun anyways. Cause we would be broke but have just enough. But like we would have this one spot we’re we could always drive too chat without anyone else to hear. Even if there were people around it still would stop us from being us. Dressing up as whatever we want like Sif from Thor and like who would even approach us dressed as a warrior goddess? No one. People would look but only because they have nothing to look at in their lives. And like above all else we could just talk without feeling like we are burdening someone. But like on a side note I want my hair braided too.

Getting a prescription for M2F hormone replacement therapy can be very time consuming and expensive.  Be prepared to jump through hoops.

Did you know that HRT medications come in so many forms?  I’m no kind of expert, but they don’t show the injectable kind either.  The kind that works on genetic women for menopause and other conditions also works on transgender women that are transitioning.

Are you seriously considering Male to Female hormone replacement therapy?  Be safe and do your research, the “side effects” you want may come with some potentially dangerous ones too.  Things to consider are your age and current health conditions and other medications you are taking.

Hormones therapy is no joke!  Do your research.  If you can find a trans-friendly doctor you are very fortunate and even more fortunate if your insurance company will cover it.

Self-medicating is NOT safe.  But sometimes the dysphoria demands you try it anyhow because many doctors will not prescribe them for you and insurance companies will not approve paying for them.

When you are transgender and have figured out how to get your hormones online these may become familiar to you.  They come in pills and aerosol and gels, it is not one size fits all.  What works for me may not work for you.

you know, the worst physical pain I’ve ever felt in my life was recovering from top surgery (I kept throwing up the pain meds for the first 2 days, fun times), but I never regret it a single bit. I’m so fucking happy with my body now, and just so much more connected to it.

I’m not saying everyone who’s trans should get or want surgery or hormones, they’re just as trans without it, but for all those transphobes who claim it’s mutilating our bodies and we’ll regret it later: fuck off, you’re wrong. That was one of the best decisions I’ve ever made.
