Please remember:
Endogenic includes a whole bunch of shitty stuff that people don't identify as trauma for themselves. Stress, fakeclaiming, struggles with neurodiversity, anxiety, anything.
Endogenic doesn't mean not traumatised, just that a system didn't form from that.
Endogenic systems can have traumagenic members.
Traumagenic systems can have endogenic members.
Endogenic systems can be horribly depressed and traumagenic systems can be joyful and enjoy their systemhood.
No system owes you their trauma history.

Fictive heavy Plural culture is being so fucking pissed off that people for some reason assume you’re faking being a system if you Roleplay. Like- that’s literally our only way to express ourselves for who we are because we’re so isolated and don’t talk to anyone but our mother irl, who we’re scared to tell we’re not the host, so when we switch, no one will know and it’s so fucking lonely never being called your actual name or treated as who you are and Roleplay is our only escape from that.
Does this make sense? Probably not, I’m just annoyed.

Worst part about meeting new people, especially if they're the ones who came up to you, is telling stuff about yourself. "What's your name?" "What's your age?"
And then I'll have to figure out, which info do I give out. Do i make shit up??? Do I say stuff about myself?? OR DO I TELL STUFF ABOUT OUR HOST INSTEAD??? Dear god!

one of the most important things about dissociative identity disorder and generally being a system that i wish people would understand is that it truly isn’t as cut and dry as it may seem for member count.
you’ll see people who say they have “six alters” and then immediately assume it’s six fully fleshed out equal individuals with no confusion or fuzziness regarding identity. that’s simply not true in a majority of cases, as i have seen.
most systems still VERY much deal with confusion regarding potential splits, go through dissociative episodes where they’re unsure of who they are, sometimes feel no attachment towards any identities, feel like they might have split and then suddenly that person is gone, unsure if alters they haven’t heard from often have gone dormant, not sure how to react when alters do come out of dormancy, etc.
it’s not a fun feeling and it’s genuinely unfair in certain situations to force systems to list every single alter to you with full certainty, as if it will never change. because it will. for so many different reasons, systems will grow, they will shrink, they will fuse, they will develop. you can’t expect the person with the dissociative disorder and lack of core identity to be able to keep up a perfected list of forever, it’s simply impossible. you may have alters who stick with you, but that doesn’t mean changes won’t happen.
and systems who may be reading this — please don’t feel bad. you are not a hassle, you are not a headache, and you are not an inconvenience for simply coping with something like this. it’s out of your control and the only thing you can do is continue to cope to find ways to help yourself retrain from these reactions. please don’t allow yourself to be harmed by others who don’t understand what you are going through. there are people who will accept and love you for who you are, all of you.
past, present, and future.

You can love being a system,
You can hate being a system
You can both enjoy it and it also feel like hell,
No matter your feelings on being a system there valid, people act like its either hell or the best thing ever, it can be both, it doesn't have to be one or the other

i don't know if we will leave this up, because we aren't sure if it comes across how we would like. but the alter who wrote this, yellowfang, has wanted to create it for some time, so we opted to try.
we, once again, apologize for any art style inconsistencies. the comic artwork itself was worked on by several of us.

Plural fictive culture is "I want to be perceived as source but if source didn't exist and I'm just the guy" because you're paranoid as hell about people finding out who you are.

also i would like for people to stop making "alternate/multiple personalities" jokes, unless you have osddid youre just further spreading stigma and misinformation as that joke came from the outdated and misinformed terminology use of multiple personality disorder.
mpd is increadibly outdated and its coiner is ableist, this is a topic multiple people have gone over in the past so i wont say anything more.
the joke itself implies people who grew up with an non-fully developed sense of self are crazy because 'they have more than one personality' when people with osddid, the people the joke is ctually about, actually have a split sense of self, a dissociated identity, dissociation caused by traumatic and stressful events specifically during childhood development.
its not multiple personalities, while yes those with alters or parts who front andswitch out do often have seperate and differing personalities, theyre not simply just personalities.
the joke spreads stigma and isnt funny. its not a joke, stop using it.

please do not let online system spaces convince you that you need to label and have every single thing in your system figured out. that’s an extremely unrealistic goal and you’re not any sort of faker for not knowing every single thing.
just be.

different types of fronting (explained for singlets)
ref.: going from an alter to the other is called “switching”. if mark ¹ is fronting, and then, suddenly, jack ¹ is fronting, the brain switched.
• normal fronting. an alter is active, conscious, and controls the body.
• co fronting. two or more alters are active, conscious, and control the body.
• coconscious or co-con. one or multiple parts are conscious, but don't control the body. usually in combination with one or multiple parts fronting.
• being frontstuck. an alter being “stuck” in front for a long time. the time varies/depends on the system.
• rapid switching. as the name says, this is when fronts switch very rapidly.
