"Hey girl ill just feed you and ill be going" you say to the kitten. She looks at you with a tilted head at the mention of food. After feeding smokey you put you're shoes back on and locked your apartment, walking to the elevator and pressed the button to the basement.

Once you had reached larry's apartment you opened the door to see Lisa sat on the couch. "Hello dear larry is in his room" Lisa turns and smiles at you. "Thanks Lisa!" You say running into larry's room.

"Larry!" You yell giggling as you jump on top of him. "Ow! Shit that hurt" he laughs pulling you close and cuddling you. "I'm sorry hehe" you say kissing his cheek. You both layed and talked about anything you both could think of. New films coming out, school, future date and plans to hang out with the rest of the gang. As the two of you talked it soon started to turn night and you slowly closed you're eyes and you heard larry whisper "goodnight I love you" and you finally let sleep take over

You and Travis have lived in the same city since you were born and went to the same school together. He always looked at you from the outside. Sometimes it seemed to him that you were similar. You, like him, have always been alone. You were a quiet, silent loner with whom no one talked. Sometimes it even seemed to him that your classmates didn't notice you. However, when you got older, Travis realized that you were causing him feelings that he shouldn't have experienced. Feelings that would have enraged his father

You rarely talked to him until Travis started sitting with you in the dining room. You didn't mind, even though some of your classmates didn't like him. At first you were just having lunch at the same table, and then he started trying to talk to you. You weren't shy about communicating, but you preferred to talk less. You spoke softly and a little, but Travis was fine with that. After a few weeks of such communication, you began to communicate outside of school. He was glad that he had the opportunity to go somewhere other than home, and the fact that you were with him pleased him even more

You walked around the city together. The streets were usually sparsely populated, so you walked quietly. One day during one of your walks you found a large dead tree. It stood in a park, away from the places where people usually walked. Travis thought that you would go further, but you stopped, thoughtfully looking at the tree, then took out an old polaroid from your backpack and took a photo. Travis was afraid that his father would find out that you were dating, but he liked what he felt around you. You could sit together away from people, just hold hands and chat. You even took a few photos of him against the background of nature and hung them on a cork board in your room, which Travis found out about when he came to visit you

Travis didn't tell you what his father was hiding. He didn't tell you about the secrets that were hidden in the city, hoping that when his father's plan came to life, you wouldn't get hurt. You were dear to him and the last thing he wanted to lose was you. Sometimes Travis dreamed that you would leave the city somewhere far away, where you could live together, enjoying a calm and quiet life, but he understood that these were just dreams. Travis doesn’t have the best life at home. Having to deal with a very religious father that neglects him most of the time. It’s hard, it’s not easy. He’s not able to have a “Home Sweet Home”. With this negligence from his father means not paying Travis any close attention at all and this follows up with him not feeding him at all. Travis cannot just go to the kitchen and make himself something due to his father and it’s terrible. Weekends can be the hardest considering that he isn’t in school where he can eat.

So, when he met little, old you, also a person who loves to cook and expresses your love by cooking, is where the curtains opened for Travis. You would cook for him before going to school the next day to privately give it to him. And this isn’t like a full course meal it’s more like snack in a way where he could just hide it in his backpack and eat it in his private time!

Your cooking is amazing to him even if he doesn’t tell you a thing. He is grateful for you for being a very sweet boyfriend/friend but he can’t help but feel like he’s in a homeless shelter. And you just tell him that some people in homeless shelters don’t get fed at all. Travis stay doing way too much but you love him for that so you let it slide.

Not only your straight up cooking is immaculate but your BAKING? He gets first dibs on trying your baking I don’t make the rules. He hardly gets to eat any candy at home, even the hard candies at the church he doesn’t get. When he comes in contact with something so sweet like candy or a dessert he takes it. He’s never got to feel that sweet, savory taste of cherry candy, grape, chocolate, or anything like that so it’s pretty new to our boy…luckily he has his boyfriend/friend to cater to his needs. You are more than happy to bake some desserts for Travis because you know that’s what makes him happy. You’re always striving to make Travis happy because you don’t really see that much of him. So you just decided that if nobody’s going to make him happy, why not you take the wheel?

Travis didn’t actually tell you ANYTHING about his home life but you knew. You knew that he was struggling deep down. When you first noticed these signs he immediately stepped up. You also noticed how he sits by himself at lunch and figured that would be the perfect opportunity to try to become friends with him. That’s what you did, you decided to “woo” him over by making a dessert and bringing it with you to the following school day. when it was lunchtime you took a deep breath and released it before walking over to Travis. You asked politely if you could sit with him (Which he told you no a few damn times…) and Travis just gave up but gave you a strict ass warning to not bother him at all. He doesn’t understand, why couldn’t he just scare you off like he does everyone else? Maybe it was the fact that he did needed a friend..? Travis’s thoughts were all cut off when he sudden heard you offer a dessert to him from your lunch. It’s crazy how you offering your treat to him can bring you guys this close together!

Lastly, Travis is very thankful for you. His gratitude goes all out to you. You went out of your own way to make sure that he was okay in the littlest but most effective at possible. This also helped him loosen up a bit more and become a better person than what he was before you came along. He doesn’t know how to repay you for this but you told him that he doesn’t need to do anything. However, you did say that he could repay you by being your friend. And did he do so? Yes. But he also become more than friends with you when he got out of his father’s abusive shadow? Yes, yes he did.

Hello lovely people. I'm just jumping on to make a quick P.S.A about my writing and the inclusion of Travis Phelps in my work as I've received a few 'hateful' messages regarding this decision. I'm unsure of how exactly to word this, and I'm sure by speaking up about this matter I'll receive more hateful messages, but please bear with me while I take the time to write this. My autistic arse will just say how it is:

Yes, I am aware that our beloved Travis Phelps is canonically gay but I will always write him as bisexual. Why? Because I'm a bisexual female writer who cannot, for the life of her, write for a male!reader. By making this decision, I don't mean to, nor is the intention there, to 'erase' his homosexuality. To call me a 'fucking freak' for this decision is uncalled for.

I've had one anonymous message claiming that by including him in my work, I'm being 'homophobic' when, in reality, my writing isn't that deep. I'm simply a woman who loves Travis and would like to write for him and include him in my works. I'm sorry if this upsets you, or angers you, but I will continue to include him in my works and will continue to write him with female!readers in mind.

With all this being said, I do try to make my writing as gender neutral as possible unless it's smut related, to include everyone. For example, in my latest 'Arranged Marriage' post I tried not to include pronouns for potential male readers to be able to enjoy this piece of fiction.
