WEEK 5 (Part 1) and PRINTING AT HOME WITHOUT A PRESS!
Experimenting with different papers to see which works best for home relief printing.
1. Chinese Rice Paper, lightweight and easy to print although don’t like heavy embossing of paper give uneven ink covering. Probably not enough ink on plate.
2. 45grm Layout Paper
Light smooth paper works well, easy to print and takes ink well. Although no idea if it’s acid free!
3. 80grm Standard photocopy paper
Takes ink well but too white smooth and yup looks cheap, again no idea if it’s acid free.
4. 120 from Tracing Paper
Worked surprisingly well, takes ink evenly although paper does cockle a bit too much. Interesting to use as overlays, also need to see how it takes colour.
It’s winter so…here are some more bare branches for you:)

It’s the depths of winter, it would be rude to not have a couple of bare branches shots:)

I have a few videos of the trees bending in the wind of a snowstorm that happened a few days ago, and I thought I’d share them.
Nature is a powerful force. ^u^
