That’s right, fans, thanks to the courtesy of @mp-knight and my ongoing determination to make S3 known to the world, T27th is now under new management! In the months to come, I’ll be coming up with brand new topics. Since Craig McCracken’s B-day is coming up, the topic for this month is this:

If you had a chance to talk to Craig McCracken, what would you say to him that not only complements him on the work he’s done in the past 30+ years, but also reassures him that there’s still interest in the plans he made for S3?

Keep in mind that Disney owns the rights to Wander Over Yonder, which is why Craig can’t bring it back himself. He has the knowledge, but he has his reasons for not spilling the beans. To give you folks the update, he’s been busy working on other projects (PPG revival, preschool Foster’s, and most recently, an animated adaptation of The Circus Ship). Words of encouragement are allowed, but he must know that we’re not giving up until we know more about S3. He’s been raising a family, so calling him out for being silent for the past eight years would be ill-advised. Simply put, we have to boost his determination and jump-start his confidence.

First, I'd congratulate his birthday since it's coming up and tell him how impactful his work has been over the years and I would also wish him luck on the five projects he's currently working on since that seems like it'd be a lotta work. As for reassuring, I would bring up last year to show Wander Over Yonder hasn't been completely forgotten by the company I am still not naming, so there's still a chance for the show to finally end how he wanted it to. I'd encourage him to not give up as we aren't just yet and that no matter how long it takes, Wander Over Yonder will get a third season or whichever way it needs to end. The darkest of nights do call for the sunniest of smiles, after all...

"Global Digital Innovation." It was 7th edition of IMC, a three day program scheduled for 27th, 28th and 29th October 2023, at Pragati Maidan.

Students of Dronacharya College of Engineering, Gurugram visited IMC 2023, Asia's most extensive telecommunications, media, and technology forum on 27th October, 2023.

The theme of event was "Global Digital Innovation." It was 7th edition of IMC, a three day program scheduled for 27th, 28th and 29th October 2023, at Pragati Maidan, New Delhi, India.

For those who are new followers over the past year, and as a reminder for everyone, I schedule some special posts over the holidays! The schedule will look like this:

the stupidest result of the current climate around game development is that the endless sequels can’t even do anything cool and different because it’ll get reactions from fans getting mad because they’re changing too much or taking away from the original spirit of whatever game series it is — and the stupid part is! they’re right some times! sometimes it is just major overkill to add a hundred new mechanics to the 27th game in a franchise and sometimes it literally is taking away from the soul of the original. and it’s stupid because the blatant, obvious solution to this is to just make NEW games. These developers at these big companies have the chops to make interesting shit, they just need to be taken out of the creative prison that is existing IPs and be allowed to make things without the prerequisite of name recognition. So much effort is squandered trying to wring out every last drop of profit from a name until everyone hates it when it could be applied to just making stuff that’s new and has all the room in the world for new ideas.

You know how like the entire industry stagnates for a couple years at a time until a indie game gets popular and successful and every AAA company rushes to make something to capitalize on the trend. imagine if the full force of the industry was in motion constantly innovating within that cycle, also making smaller titles that get released regularly because it’s not requiring 60 hour weeks from a team of 500 people for half a decade to get made. and because of that output, developers get to throw stuff at the wall and see what sticks and don’t hinge the continued survival of their company on the financial success of the one thing they’ve worked on for the last two presidential terms. it’s almost like this would be a net win for everyone involved except shareholders who only want big number to be bigger. There’s something that needs to be cut out of this equation and it’s not the fucking artists

Okay, so last month’s comeback wasn’t as big as I thought it would be. Regardless, Wander Over Yonder still has a dedicated fandom - we just have to try harder to prove it.

Now, this month marks the 8th anniversary of The Waste of Time, in which we got a first glimpse of that orbble-powered vessel, the Star Nomad. All we know about it so far is that it started out as a regular ship full of hooded refugees in The Secret Planet, and at the start of S3, it would get an “Electric Mayhem” style makeover so that it could float and move with orbble juice. Wander and Sylvia would then use it to carry any refugees remaining on the formerly secret planet back to their home planets throughout the season. Assuming the Skullship would be out of fuel, as I indicated in my Eye on the Galaxy idea, Hater, Peepers, and the Watchdogs would have to tag along. Hater would even have to be roommates with Wander.

Since we know there’d be one room shared by two soon-to-be-friends-by-the-end-of-the-season-of-their-lives, I thought of a question for WOY fans to answer:

What do you think the inside of the Star Nomad would look like, and what kind of rooms would there be?

Since the Star Nomad would hold practically a galaxy’s load of residents, it could be as spacious on the inside as the Skullship (which came with a torture room, a food court, a training facility, etc.). So go nuts, let your imagination run wild, and think up all the possibilities!

Leona Fact Sheet

(Voted 3rd-most-popular-character on the jpn server in a combination of seven different character-ranking surveys held throughout 2021)

Contrary to appearances, Leona is one of the top-performing students at NRC, but he has become extremely sarcastic after years of being constantly compared to his older brother, the crown prince of Sunset Savannah.

Leona grew up in a culture where women are highly respected and we learn in-game that he is unable to refuse requests made of him by his brother’s wife. Through Ruggie, we learn that over half of the royal guard employed at the palace—where Leona was born and raised—are female.

The people of Sunset Savannah are fearful of droughts, making their second prince’s unique magic, “King’s Roar” particularly horrifying. Leona is capable of drying up both places and people and turning them to sand, without even needing to touch them (ref: Halloween Event). Unique magics are often learned by magic-users after years of study, but we learn in Book 2 that Leona was born with his ability.

Leona is an accomplished chess-player, having enjoyed the game since he was a small child when he would regularly beat even adult opponents.

His older brother’s son Cheka has only appeared once in-game (thus far), but seems very attached to his uncle, abandoning his attendants to hunt down Leona on his own in Book 2, climb bodily onto his stomach and talk about letters that have been sent but unanswered and when he might, too, be allowed to start learning how to play Spelldrive. In the Halloween event, Cheka spends the entirety of Halloween-day constantly calling Leona on his phone.

Though struggling with how Cheka’s existence ruins his chance of fulfilling his one and only dream, Leona seems fond of his nephew in his own way. Cheka’s name for Leona—Oji-tan—has been adopted by twst fans and became a trending topic on Twitter on Leona’s birthday in 2021. ("Leona-san" is trending at #13 nationwide as of 7:57am on July 27th 2022)

Leona's demeanor is usually calm, and he treats those around him equally, without picking favorites. He is described as a “genius commander” with strong leadership abilities and prefers brains over brawn, to the point of using tactics that may be seen as underhanded or crafty.

When asked how he came by the scar on his left eye, Leona answers, “I forgot”.

Despite his decadent upbringing, Leona has no interest in wealth or material goods. On his birthday he dismisses the messages and piles of presents that have arrived from his family, even offering to give them to the player character. The only present he opens is that from Cheka, who calls him to ask how he liked it. Leona ignores him and is reprimanded by his sister-in-law.

While we know that Leona’s father is ill, we have not been given much information about his mother.

His brother Farena is older by a decade, and Leona is often criticizing him for his baseless optimism and not being politically involved enough in the running of their country. When Farena gifts him an extravagant rug to use in his dorm room, Leona responds, “Why are you giving this to me when you should be giving it to the ruler of a neighboring country as a symbol of your friendship?”

While he does his best to hide away from others he is very clearly both respected and adored within the school, often called to mediate arguments and for special training for the members of the spell drive club.

Leona became the Savanaclaw housewarden in his second year due to a variety of factors, including his displeasure in acting as a subordinate to someone he did not respect, how unpleasant he found it to share a room with his fellow dormmates (who were both younger and frightened of him) and because of how those around him cried for him to take up the role. He challenged the former housewarden to a duel and won.

In a vignette we learn that he has been held back only one year at NRC, but he is two years older than his fellow third-year students because he enrolled a year late. While he received an invitation to NRC at the appropriate age he ignored it due to the low-level curriculum offered at the college, opting to remain at home and focus on working towards his singular goal of becoming king.

Despite his tireless efforts this ambition died with the birth of his nephew, which lead directly to Leona's belated enrollment in the school to get away. His constant skipping of classes that fail to challenge him intellectually led to his being held back a year.

Shunned for his frightening unique magic, compared unfavorably to his brother due to Farena’s cheerful personality and constantly criticized from the time he was a child, Leona’s track record of never being recognized or valued despite his hard work and accomplishments has likely also contributed to his attitude towards his classes.

Savanaclaw does not have a vice-housewarden. We learn in his Dorm Uniform home screen dialogue that “A few guys took up the job but they all challenged me, lost, and quit”.

Leona is one of very few characters capable of speaking to Malleus as an equal, and even arguing with him. Floyd refers to him as “Todo-senpai” (sea-lion), while Rook calls him “Roi des Lions” for “King of Lions”. He is regularly praised for his physical appearance by Vil, albeit always accompanied by an insult about some other aspect of his character.

Hospitals owned by private equity firms riskier for patients, study says

"(CNN) - Health care is more hazardous for patients at hospitals purchased by private equity firms, financing models designed to make money for investors.

That conclusion comes from a new study published Tuesday in the journal Jama.

The study looked at the rates of 10 serious adverse events associated with medical care at 51 hospitals, before and after they were purchased by private equity firms.

Researchers then compared those results with the rates of the same complications at more than 250 hospitals that were not owned by those entities.

The study revealed that, in those private equity firm-purchased hospitals, there was a 25% increase in patient complications.

The rates of patient falls inside the facility, central line infections and surgical site infections all increased.

The study author said treating fewer patients eligible for both Medicare and Medicaid benefits is one trend the research found.

Previous research has shown cuts to staffing and replacing more highly paid workers with those paid less Is often tied to private equity firm acquisitions.

Those firms have been acquiring large chunks of the U.S. health care delivery system in recent years, including hospitals, nursing homes, behavioral health systems and private physician practices.

Earlier this month, the Senate Budget Committee announced its bipartisan investigation of the impact of private equity purchases on health care facilities.

It's March 27th, 1987. And it's been one year. One year since Steve carried Eddie out of the Upside Down. Steddie | T | light angst + tooth-rotting fluff My two cents into the whole Death Day trend because… nope. Canon? I don't know her.

Eddie finds Steve in the kitchen that morning, staring at the calendar on the wall. He seems lost in thought, doesn't hear Eddie come in, even jumps a little when Eddie approaches and wraps his arms around his waist, but immediately relaxes the next moment, melting back against his chest.

"Morning, sweetheart," Eddie murmurs in his boyfriend's ear, presses a soft kiss to the side of his neck, the spot he knows is just sensitive enough for Steve to let out a quiet chuckle, but not so much as to squirm away. "Penny for your thoughts?" He asks, leaning over Steve's shoulder so he can meet his eyes when Steve turns his head towards him. There's something unreadable in his gaze, a heaviness Eddie hasn't seen in a while.

"You know what today is?" Steve asks, and Eddie follows his gaze when he looks back at the calendar.

"Oh." Of course, he recognizes the date. How could he not. "Shit."

"Yeah." Steve rests his own arms over Eddie's around his waist, squeezes gently with his fingers, rubs a thumb against his skin. He's quiet for a long moment, before adding, his voice strained, "You almost died. A year ago today."

"Hey. Hey, no no no, fuck that, Stevie." Eddie tugs on Steve's elbow to turn him around in his arms, presses into him so close there's not a hair of space between them. Drops his head to Steve's shoulder and just breathes for a moment, breathes in the scent that's become comfort and love and home to him. Tries to compose himself, because one of them has to, because there's no way they are both breaking down over this and end up crying together on the kitchen floor.

Been there, done that. Not today.

So when he lifts his head again to look at Steve, it's with the biggest grin he could muster, and maybe Steve can tell he's faking it, but that's not the point.

"Fuck that ”, he repeats, more forcefully. “You know what today really is? Practically, my second birthday. I got a second chance at life." He captures Steve's lips in a soft, brief kiss, and maybe his grin isn't so fake anymore when he pulls back to add, "A better one, too."

"Better? You can't be serious." Steve frowns, eyes darting downwards. Eddie feels his fingers running along his side. Tracing the exact shape of that biggest, angriest scar through the T-shirt. He knows its shape by heart, Eddie realizes. Fuck, he loves this man.

"Oh, absolutely." He tilts his head back so he can see Steve's face properly without going cross-eyed. "If that means I got the love of my life for all my troubles? I wouldn't have done anything different, if given the chance."

Steve glances away, biting his lip, cheeks tinted pink, and Eddie absolutely revels in it, amazed at how he can keep telling Steve he loves him every damn day, and still sometimes get the same reaction out of it as the first time he confessed.

"You know you didn't actually have to get nearly eaten by demobats to get a chance with me, right?" Steve lifts a hand to push a strand of hair back behind Eddie's ear, cups his jaw gently. Right over another scar, usually covered by his hair. "I was half gone on you anyway, you damn flirt."

"You don't know that." Eddie shakes his head, more serious now, because he needs Steve to understand. "What if the bats got Dustin instead? Can you seriously tell me you, not the you right now, but the you from a year ago, wouldn't have resented me for not protecting him back then?"

Steve falls silent for a long moment, then sighs. "You're right. I don't know," he admits.

Eddie nods. "Exactly." He's glad that Steve doesn't try to lie about this. With all the jokes about them co-parenting the kid, Eddie knows how even actual, lifelong marriages fall apart after the death of a child. The bitter truth is, if something happened to Dustin that night, any chance at what him and Steve didn't themselves even know was blooming between them back then would have been gone in an instant. A fact Eddie needed Steve to acknowledge; but he doesn't want to dwell on this any longer.

"Actually." He smiles, lifting Steve's chin with his fingers to meet his eyes again. "Considering today is when we first kissed, maybe we should make it our unofficial anniversary."

Steve rolls his eyes. "I didn't kiss you, I gave you CPR, dumbass."

Eddie gasps dramatically. "How is that less romantic? You literally breathed life back into me, baby."

"You're an idiot," Steve shakes his head, but he's finally smiling, full and bright, eyes shining, and that eggs Eddie on.

"You could almost say... I took your breath away?"

“Oh my god,” Steve drops his head briefly, and Eddie can see his shoulders shake with silent laughter. “Stop.” He halfheartedly pokes Eddie in the ribs.

“And you made my heart beat faster.”

“Like, from actually zero to barely normal?!” Steve squawks, poking him harder, repeatedly, forcing Eddie to finally wriggle away, giggling.

But he lingers close, and the next moment Steve is in his space again, big, warm hands bracketing his head, pulling him in and kissing him, hard, pushing forward so intently Eddie has to back up against the kitchen counter. Eddie just lets him take, and bite, and suck on his lips until the sudden desperation slowly eases into his usual gentleness, one hand sliding down to rest at Eddie’s hip, thumb slipping under his shirt to rub tiny circles into his skin.

Steve can laugh at him all he wants; in the end, every kiss of his is a little bit like CPR, because Eddie never feels more alive than when Steve’s lips are on his. He wonders if there’ll ever be a time when Steve’s mouth won’t make his knees wobble within mere minutes, his skin tingle and his brain turn into mush. Forget stomach butterflies; his whole body is a swarm of buzzing bees.

They finally part to breathe, but Steve doesn’t pull away immediately; he never does, and it’s almost Eddie’s favorite part every single time, the way Steve seems to struggle with ending the kiss, instead placing soft pecks onto Eddie’s lips between shared breaths, rubbing their noses together with a lazy, sated grin, eventually resting their foreheads together for a few moments.

“What was that for?” Eddie asks, when the power to speak, and think somewhat coherently, finally returns to him.

Steve smiles at him. “I love you.” Another soft kiss against his chin. “I’m glad you’re alive.” Another, to the scar on his jaw. Then, the smile widens as he meets Eddie’s eyes. “Happy second birthday? Sorry I didn’t get you a cake.”

Eddie laughs, happiness bubbling inside him with every word.

“That’s cool. I didn’t get you anything for our unofficial anniversary, either.” He tilts his head, thinking. “But I do want that cake now, actually. Grocery run?”

Steve chuckles and shrugs. “Yeah, why the hell not. Should I radio Dustin?”

"Duh," Eddie snorts. "If the brat finds out we had cake without him? We might have survived demobats, but that will be the end of us both."

"Agreed," Steve says. "Let me just finish my coffee and we’ll go."

Eddie whoops with joy, smacks a loud, wet kiss on Steve's cheek that he knows Steve's not gonna wipe away, and skips towards the stairs to get changed. It can't be denied that this day, a year ago, was probably the worst day of his life. But he’s alive. All his friends are alive. He has an actual boyfriend who loves him, what the fuck. And there’s no guarantee tonight one of them won’t wake up in cold sweat from another nightmare, but for now? Today is going to be awesome.

Klance post canon, but the internet is obsessed over Keith. Since the internet is the internet, they end up graphically talking about how much they want to smooch Keith and do some Stuff with him, and Lance is not very happy about this.

Some random event comes up, and overnight Lance is instantly trending on social media!! He now has a bunch of people drooling over him too!!

The paladins do go attend galas and interviews and all that schmooze because they are celebrities (they literally saved the world??). People eat the content that is posted up, and that’s when the first few klance shippers rise. Most people are like “??? Where did you get that from” but the klancers are confident in their ship.

Keith and Lance are put into their old “rival” dynamic—instead of combat-related issues, it’s now about who is hotter. People argue about this A LOT and honestly KL probably talks about their rivalry in at least one of the interviews,which makes the fans EVEN CRAZIER!!

AND THEN LANCE GETS CASTED TO STAR IN A TV SERIES??? Everyone is pumped especially because he’s one of the main characters and he’s being paired with this one pretty girl (IT COULD BE ANY POPULAR WOMAN IDK) that he’s met up with a couple of times.

Flash forward to the series debut (and maybe even the second season) and people ARE GOING FERAL! Not only because Lance and the girl in the show are depicted as a really cute couple and have a really good development of their relationship throughout the first like 2 seasons before they get together (WHAT KLANCE COULD’VE BEEN, DREAMWORKS.), but mainly because there’s a NEW leaked bts where Lance is spinning the girl around in the rain and doing romantic stuff idk and people are posting about how they want to go jump in a highway

But then someone posts a video of lance spending time with keith IN THIS LITTLE LAKE WITH A WATERFALL!!1!1!!1 AND HE’S TWIRLING KEITH AROUND JUST LIKE HE DID WITH THE GIRL??1?1!!1?

The internet explodes again.

things to note:

Keith is giggling in the video. Don’t ask why, I’m just correct.

The romance between Lance and The Girl in the series WILL BE 200% non-toxic. This is so I can make a plethora of people scream and cry over it in the fic, just like how they did with klance in 2017 (Except for the fact that. Y’know… they didn’t end up together 💀💀).

Jealousy will be a huge element in the story. Whether it’s Lance/The Girl or Keith/I don’t fucking know, there is going to be lots of yearning.

Uhhhhh I’m terrible at making stories and consistently updating so I can’t promise you a completed fic!!

If I do end up committing to The Bit and completing the story, I would aim for it to be around at least 50k(?), with like 20 chapters at most.

I am NOT finished with VLD (currently on 4x6), so as I run through the seasons there is probably going to be more and more references to the show as I update!
