Q: How does this [relationship] form with a guy who’s from here – a Scouser, who knows quite a few people here, he gets along with everyone, yet it seems that you get along with him even better than he does with Robertson. How did this happen?

in light of tedtrent becoming so real, im also jumping on the tedtrent epilogue 😊
there's just no way ted wouldn't keep in touch with the others (and have weekly zoom meetings just like in the christmas special) and I just love the thought of the whole team having reunions once in a while.
and going back to trent's arc in s3, the sunflowers conversation, "And your daughter?" "She's never been happier." I think it could go the same for ted.. we've never really properly saw how henry felt about his dad being in london, it's always other people that told ted his son misses him, who's to say henry would rather see his dad happy because that in turn would make him happy too? he was there to win the whole thing, right? I just know ted’s story isn’t done yet when he still hasn’t learned to let others take care of him in return and who else to pair him with than the man who blew up his career because a man was nice to him (and also because they were so. so cruel for the fakeout tedbecca scenes for that finale) 🥺
I'm no writer so just pretend these are snapshots of a slow burn fic where ted visits london for their team reunion and slowly realizes that trent has a crush on him and they kiss about it 💛

here I am like an insane person squinting at my laptop trying to read the barely-in-focus page of "the richmond way" by trent crimm that we get to see on screen and that makes ted laugh
this is what i've managed:
"In the winter of 2020, on a sunny and crisp morning I bumped into an old acquaintance of mine in the tree lined banks of the river Thames. Smiling at the world, he strolled comfortably with hands in pockets, the man seeming without a care or stress in the world.
On noticing me he exclaimed, and led his friend placing an arm over the man's shoulder over to me, already singing my praises and opening his greetings with a well meaning a personally insightful question.
The man, of course, was Ted Lasso. A Kansas born American football coach come UK coaching phenomenon.
Few of my interviewees would have such a reaction to seeing me outside of their working lives, knowing that I could ask questions that would make them uncomfortable or they wouldn't know how to answer. As well as knowing that what they chose [to] share with me was not in confidence but could be shared with all of those that read my articles. However for Ted this [??] never made an impact. For Ted, everyone that comes into his life is a potential friend, [no matter?] the circumstances of meeting. This attitude, it becomes clear, and I truly hope you will understand the power of its effect by the time you finish reading this book, contributed not only to Ted's personal life but to the sporting capabilities of the AFC Richmond team. When I first met ted the [??] was different. Humiliation would best describe Ted's first press conference. [...]"
the rest of it is so fucking blurry i cant read it for shit but hello? this is a love letter to ted

"Trent's dressed like a sunflower" this
"Trent's dressed like a sunflower" that
BY GOD! It's George Bailey's wife on the poster of "It's a Wondeful Life" with a steel chair!!!!!
LISTEN.
Trent's dressed like that in a scene that kicks off a sequence that shows Ted's found family live their lives without him. He's dressed like that when he picks up the manuscript and reads Ted's final note, the one through which he attempts to erase himself from the narrative!

Since we know that the Snoopy rainbow mug is indeed from James Lance's own personal collection, I'm gonna go ahead and assume that Lance just keeps dragging in his own clothing and jewelry for the costume designer to approve and she's like "yeah let's roll with it" every time.
