The lackluster romance and overemphasised 'love triangle' in The Hunger Games movies makes more sense when you frame it as Peeta's hijacked memories after the war.

Katniss being super cold towards him? The terrible cave scene? The emotionless 'I need you' on the beach? The general lack of chemistry between them? All the Gale angst?? Peeta's entire character being reduced to a damsel in distress and very much feeling like a spare part??? The totally weird and unsatisfying epilogue where the distance between them in the field is emphasised and something about the lighting and framing makes it feel like a Bad Ending????

Now, Everyone can agree that the Fullmetal Alchemist Manga is a banger (I assume both animes are too, but I haven't watched 'em so no comment).

What a bunch of people don't know is that the artist/writer Hiromu Arakawa has written 2 other original works (one is complete the other is ongoing.

Silver Spoon: About a kid from Tokyo who, to get away from the demands of his parents/the stress of academia, attends a Farming School in the middle of nowhere where he is p.much the only one without a farming background. Hilarity, character development, etc. ensues.

Daemons of the Shadow Realm: A dude is raised in a mountain village, farming, hunting. etc. Until one day a fucking helicopter comes out of nowhere, his village is 50% slaughtered, turns out that the village existed for the sole purpose of breeding him and his sister, and it is not the 1400s anymore. Oh and Demons are a thing. Violence, humour, character development, etc. ensue. (This one is ongoing)

Now they are both 10/10, and I highly reccomend reading them both But that is not the point of this post.

She has drawn hundreds, if not thousands of faces at this point, so it is no surprise that you will see some repeats between the mangas.

BUT DO YOU KNOW HOW JARRING IT IS TO SEE EITHER INCARNATION OF GREED, HIS CREW, OR ROY FUCKING MUSTANG HANGING OUT IN A SCHOOL TALKING ABOUT COW BREEDS?

REALLY FUCKING JARRING! (somewhat less jarring to see them in tactical gear murdering people, or speaking with demons, cause that feels slightly in character)

Anyway, that aside, if you liked her worldbuilding, realism, in depth characters, approach to romance, etc. I do really reccomend them both.

(She also did another one entitled 'The Heroic Legend of Arslan' but as I haven't read it yet and it is a collaboration, I didn't mention it above)

Me and some friends are making a silly AU! @ckret2, @arroartz, @bexatthedesk, @quartz-the-moth-cat, @bexatthedesk, @arroartz, and some others, are working on it with me! It's called the Triangle Adoption AU, which is essentially where Bill Cipher interacts with the Pines Twins prior to Tourist Trapped, mainly to make Ford mad when he finds out. And then over the summer gradually gets attached to them. And I'm sure you can see where this goes in dynamic, especially with the AU name!

He looked at “everyone’s born as clean as a whistle” and “I’ve got three and twenty” as proof it was about him, instead of what it CLEARLY WAS, which was an affirmation of Lucy Gray’s positive perception of humanity in spite of everything she has suffered. But sure. It’s SO romantic that he liked “his” song.

thank you! and actually, the love triangle can go multiple ways. i'm not sure if it'll depend on your choices from beforehand and let it lead up to it, or if i should let players explicity choose so they won't be disappointed if they dont get the outcome they wanted. here's how the love triangle can go:

1. MC and Shade want Embry

2. MC and Embry want Shade

3. Embry and Shade want MC

4. Shade wants MC, MC wants Embry

5. Embry wants MC, MC wants Shade

6. Shade wants Embry, MC wants Shade

7. Embry wants Shade, MC wants Embry

so there's seven variables on how the love triangle can change. of course, it'll be jealousy-filled if MC and Shade are going against each other, but for Embry, she's confident — and most of all, she's smug. it's very hard to make her jealous.

Oh yeah, I forgot to talk bout my Self-insert for Gravity Falls

This is Celeste, and they are a flatlander. Though they look like the 2D form to everyone in flatland (including Bill, but that's cause flames are more 3D thus not understood). They were still a flame back then, just not visibly.

Uhh, they are actually a circle (a "disformed" one), their parent was also disformed, but noone cared, since it wasn't as noticable (they had two eyes, and eyes are a desirable feature i.e. the bigger the eye the better). Also their parent was essentially the yin-yang.

So Bill and Celeste met at the edge of Flatland (or between cities (haven't decided)) where it was quite litterally nothing (society wise) there would be some plants and critters around (all of which are just lines), but no one came to this region except for Bill abd Celeste.

Celeste went there to get away from the disappointment, and disapproval of their parent and the other circles. Also cause they could do what they want out there, since they are a hidden secret (since a deformed circle is like the worst thing to ever happen in this society).

And Bill went here to have a breather, since ya'know flat minds. Also to think.

Now at first there is contention between the two, but they fall into this weird friendship. Mostly cause Celeste is a little chaos goblin!!!

I would go into more depth here.. but I would kinda like to make a fic on this...
