In The Haze 🌪️
A classic Bellamy Blake x Kane!reader acid fog story….with a head cannon included as a twist ✨
TW- cannon divergence, mentions of assault/manipulation, gore?
——-
The silence of the hunting group made the trees seem louder, each gust of wind causing heads to whip around. Your feet no longer crunched on the forest floor like they had when you first arrived to the ground mere weeks ago. You looked to your ‘leader’, seriously doubting his decision to leave the safety of camp with all the current looming threats from the grounders. When you saw his determined expression, you couldn’t help but roll your eyes. He was the only one of the group who didn’t look afraid, and that made him a fool.
“Over there!” Sterling whisper-shouted, pointing to a deer in the distance. Bellamy nodded and as usual, took the lead and aimed his knife. You decided to take in the scenery instead of watching another of his power plays. That was when you saw it. A murder of at least one hundred crows, frantically fleeing across the sky. You didn’t want to know what they were so afraid of. Unfortunately, on the ground it’s not possible to close your eyes to the dangers.
“ACID FOGGG!!!” Munroe yelled. Your eyes widened as you watched the group run off in different directions. You didn’t know which way the nearest shelter was and found yourself spinning in circles. The fog moved closer, faster than you could think. Until a hand grabbed yours.
“Come on!” Bellamy’s gruff voice ushered you away from green cloud. The two of you ran, hand in hand, faster than you ever had before. The forest became a muddy green blur around you.
“There’s a cave by those rocks up there.” He called over his shoulder. You focused your eyes on the shining wet rocks, trying not to think of the encroaching fog. You felt a tug on your neck as you brushed past a tree, on instinct you looked back.
When you saw what had happened, you dropped your hand from Bellamy’s and started to run back. You would rather die in the fog than lose this necklace.
You ignored Bellamy’s calls and moved faster towards the fog, heart almost stopping when you saw it about to make contact your most precious possession. You desperately lunged your hand forward, praying that you’d reach it before the fog did. You could almost feel the chain when you were harshly pulled away. Your hope shattered as you watched the fog engulf your necklace. You still fought Bellamy’s grip for a moment, unable to accept it. You fought until the burning agony of reality seared itself into the arm still stretched out in lost hope.
Finally, you gave in and allowed Bellamy to drag you out of the fog that had begun to swallow you whole.
“What the hell was that?!” He spat as he pushed you into the cave. “You nearly got us both killed over a necklace!” He rubbed his temped as he spoke. “It’s metal! The fog isn’t gunna damage it.” He began to lecture.
“It’s not just a necklace!” You growled, jaw clenching in the pain of your burnt arm. “There was a lock of my mothers hair in there. The fog just turned the last piece of her to dust.” Your voice cracked. For the first time, you noticed Bellamy Blake looking at you as something other than one of the privileged. Running a hand through his curled hair, he sighed.
“I have water in my bag. Let me help you.” Gesturing to your now weeping arm.
Sweat rolled down your back as he peeled off the remnants of your sleeve. You watched his brows furrow in concern at every shudder and wince.
“Why are you helping me?” You asked weakly. “I thought you’d say I deserve this, since my dad floated your mom and all.” You stared at the dripping cave roof.
“I think I’m learning to accept that you can’t judge someone by the sins of their father.” He spoke sadly. You flicked your gaze back to him, watching him curiously. He took a deep breath before meeting your eyes.
“I found out something recently.” His breath hitched and his hands faltered as they worked on your arm. “Commander Shumway is my father.” He released a breath, one that felt as though it was the first since he found out. “She met him just after he became a cadet. He caught her stealing medicine for her father. Told her he would let her off, if she did him a ‘favour’. Nine months later, there I was. But he didn’t care. Instead he held everything against her and once Octavia was born…well he had the ultimate leverage then didn’t he? Then all these years later he tells me the truth, but for his own ends!” You barely felt him tip the water on your arm, as you were listening intently to his tale. “He tells me that he got Octavia into the dropship. He told me if I killed the chancellor, he could use the chaos to get me on the ship with her. I fell for it like a fool.” He wrapped your arm in some torn cloth as he continued. “As soon as I was on the ship, he ratted me out.” Bitterness etched upon his face. “So yeah, I can understand not wanting to make the same mistakes as your shitty father.” His mask returned in an instant with his signature smirk, as he dropped your now cleaned and wrapped arm.
“Thanks.” You gestured to your arm. “For the record, you might be an egotistical dick sometimes, but you’re good. You aren’t like him.” You sent Bellamy a small smile, which he returned while bringing his eyes to meet yours once more.
“You too Kane.” He spoke softly before leaning back against the cave wall and closing his eyes.
“We should rest until the fog clears. We still have to hunt.” His voice had retreated to its usual tone. As you leaned your head against the rocky cave wall you realised that somewhere in the haze, you and Bellamy Blake had seen each other for the first time. Even if just for a second.

Sky of stars
Pairing: Lexa/reader
Warnings: Sexual themes and slight mentions of past homophobia, and blood
Chapter: 0.05
Soft moans left your lips as Lexa left a trail of kisses from your stomach back up to your neck.
You let out a giggle as her full lips pressed against your own while your fingers tangled in her brown hair.
All the moments leading up to this moment seemed to pass in a blur. You and Lexa were training in the early morning hours before the sun had even risen, and now you were laying in her bed, blissfully unaware of the world outside.
Lexa eventually lays her head on your shoulder. You could hear the movements of others nearby. The sudden realisation that if you could hear them, they would have heard any noise you made caused you to blush.
“What’s wrong?”
“There is nothing wrong... I just hope we weren't too loud.”
Her green eyes practically glowed with amusement as a grin spread across her face. She brushed strands of hair out of your face and gave you a soft smile. “What was your village like?”
“We mainly survived on fish we caught in a river that ran through our village. It was different though, we had different laws.”
“Different how?”
“I wouldn’t be allowed to be here with you.”
Lexa opened her mouth to say something, but was cut off by the sounds of footsteps. You pulled the blanket closer to your chest as Anya barged into the room. Her eyes moved between the two of you before she shook her head.
“Do what you want in your own time, but right now you should both be training our people how to fight against the mountain men.”
The rest of your day went relatively normally. You trained younger members of the clan and did your best to avoid Anya.
If Lexa was embarrassed about being caught this morning naked by her leader, she never let on, unlike you. Your cheeks will be flushed red for the remainder of the day.
You were startled when Ophelia appeared in front of you with a stern look on her face.
“Sit down before someone notices you,” Ophelia hissed.
Confused, you quickly crouched down. Ophelia had asked you and a few others from your original clan to meet at midnight. You agreed to go out of curiosity more than anything else.
You didn’t understand what was so urgent. “What’s going on? Why are we out here?”
The older woman made sure everyone was paying attention before talking. “I know some of you are wondering what our next move should be, but rest assured, we have some things set in motion.”
You stared at the older woman, still not understanding what she was talking about.
"We are going to take over the Trikru clan."
“That’s a suicide mission!”
You received glares for being so loud, so you repeated yourself in a whisper. “That’s a suicide mission. You'll never be able to ambush them.”
“Oh Y/N, we don’t need to ambush them.”
“Then what? I don’t see any other way. Trikru are extremely loyal to their leader.”
You thought of Catia and how most of your clan would have died trying to save her.
“That’s why we are being more tactical about this. The Trikru clan follows a strict routine, including that of their leader. On certain days, Anya leaves camp with a couple of her riders. Dela and Ona will follow them and kill them when the moment is right.”
“What about everyone else?”
“I will kill Lexa myself. And once she’s dead, they won’t have a leader to follow anymore. So-”
“So you're going to nominate yourself to lead them?”
She ignored your question and continued on explaining her plan. “We will make it look like the reapers killed Anya and her riders.”
“No,” you stood up. “I’m not going along with this.”
Ophelia quickly pressed her knife to your throat. “Catia should never have made you her second, as you are nothing but a disgrace to her memory.”
You stepped forward so that the knife nicked your neck. “I would have died for my commander. Catia would not have killed others without a reason. She wasn’t a savage, unlike you.” You stepped back and felt trickles of blood running down your neck. This was a battle for dominance. “We aren’t killing anyone from Tikru,” you say, loud enough for everyone to hear. “And the next time you raise a weapon to me, you better be prepared to use it.”
You turned and marched away, looking for Lexa. You needed to warn her. You’d betray your own people a thousand times over before letting any harm come to her.

Headcanon // lexa’s tattoo
Tumblr media Tumblr media Tumblr media
while i’m sure this was just the show and it’s ever changing tattoos i like to think she had one piece added to her arm for each war she won. she didn’t have one done for her conclave as she had her back tattoo done after her conclave. the first piece was done after of course the first war she won as commander, it was a short lived war against ouskejon after they tried to take land from neighbouring clans for their farms. she had the second piece added after the long war against azgeda ended with them being brought into the coalition. she added another after the war at mount weather.

Character Intro #4
Name: Harleen Crawford
Title: Former Leader of Trikru
A no-nonsense woman who values her time, Harleen is rarely seen doing anything that isn't for solely her own benefit or the benefit of her tribe. Harleen rarely makes promises she can't keep, and often prides herself in how reliable she is. If someone asks something of her - within reason - Harleen will do her best to complete the task. She uses her brain more than her heart, as when she's used her heart before, she's only gotten hurt.
At 18, Harleen was thrust into the position as the leader, or Kruheda, of Trikru. It was a new, very unsettling position, but Harleen tried her very best. She was always good with diplomacy, and she could handle herself quite well. After all, with training lessons and extensive efforts, Harleen had managed to become one of Trikru's warriors.
The Trikru, also known as the Woods Clan, People of the Woods, Trigedakru, and Tree People, are a Grounder Clan that inhabited the expanse of woodlands around the area in which the Sky People landed. The Trikru are known as the more tame of warriors compared to the Azgeda who are renouned for being bloodthirsty and gruesome but that only speaks on their stoicism and honor.
The flame decides who is worthy of our clan, do you think you have what it takes to be Trikru?
Come and join our journey and join Trikru ♥

If I had a nickle for every time Alycia Debnam-Carey came back to save the finale of a terrible apocalyptic show... I'd have two nickles.
Which isn't a lot, but it's weird that it's happened twice

Clan Building // funerals
Tumblr media
death in trigeda is almost viewed as a good thing, especially for those who died at war. a warriors death is a rewarding fate that most people hope for. trigeda people respect their dead, even those who were executed will be granted a respectful funeral despite what they may have done.
Tumblr media
a trigeda death ritual includes covering the bodies in cloth before preparing them for the flame. fire is trigeda’s preferred method of body disposal as they believe that “from the earth, we will grow. from the ashes, we will rise.”
Tumblr media
often times someone will give a speech of sorts before setting fire to the bodies. sometimes when a trigeda commander is currently holding the flame they will travel back to their territory to lead these funerals. they’ll say a few words and be on their way back to polis.
Tumblr media
with the death on any clans commander comes a funeral customary to their clan. when a trigeda commander dies they will be wrapped in cloth with a red powder spread over them courtesy of their nightbloods. after the nightbloods finish praying the commander will be burned on the roof of the tower while a red smoke sends a signal indicating the commanders passing.

Character Intro #3
Name: Leanna Crenshaw
Title: Leader of Sankru
Growing up, at best, you have at least one parent raising a child. For Leanna Crenshaw, things went very differently than they should have. On a cold January day, the brunette was born on Arcadia. In the clan where her mother came from. And her father? A man from Trikru, who apparently never really wanted to settle down. A man Leanna had never met, who may have died in the meantime. Or maybe he was lost after all, and would turn up one day? No one knew. Her mother left her in the care of Kelly, her father's half-sister, or whoever wanted to be formal, the leader of Sankru. When Aunt Kelly took over Leanna's upbringing, she showed her everything she needed to know to survive and secretly prepared the brunette to be her successor.
At some point now, Leanna had to attend the academy to at least have a scholastic education. There, the free bird felt like she was locked in a cage. She never got along with rules, because she was used to doing what she wanted to do in Sankru. During this little trip, she learned that Cecelia Lawrence was her half-sister on her father's side. For the brunette, this addition to her family was the most wonderful thing she had ever experienced. But she lost that stability when she learned of the assassination attempt on her aunt. Although the culprit was overpowered by her sister and her mentor, but did that make her feel better? No, she couldn‘t get over the loss of her aunt.
After her aunt's death, she became the next leader of Sankru. The tasks she suddenly had to do overwhelmed her, but by now she was coping just fine. Wherever she could help, she did - without resistance. Her position as leader helped her develop her character. One might also think that she was the nicest, but unfortunately also the most naive leader of the four existing clans.
Come and join our journey and join Sankru. ♥
