why must everything that the text clearly states atp be misconstrued like i really dont get it he has plenty of flaws in that relationship but we, and cersei, know that he was ready to kill robert for just the disrespect of the cheating if cersei said the word. he doesnt concern himself with the personal consequences, he is reckless, detached from a lot of things, and can close his eyes at the future if he doesn’t want to acknowledge it. also the concern over the “shame” and ned type judgement feels so overestimated to me atp. he never regrets aerys, he is mad at how he is perceived (but again, notably doesnt try to rectify it by telling the truth for a lot of complex reasons), but he would never take it back. if he believes its the right thing to do, and is not overdosing on copium trying to juggle vows he cares about, he will do it, reputation be damned. though he has selfish concerns regarding being viewed as good, the internal matters so much more than the external: see weirwood dream: who actually shows up? what makes the fire go out? “it was not him. it was never him”, see the trebuchet fiasco, see the choice in adwd. why shouldnt we take cersei at face value when she implies that if jaime knew about the physical abuse he would have killed him? he loves and cares about cersei to an insane degree, even if he can be selfish toxic and unhealthy too. i really find it very very difficult to imagine that he wouldnt have killed him based on almost every single part of his characterization.

Hey y'all,
We recently found a rabid skunk on the farm today (10/17) and I need to do rabies boosters on everyone. It's caught me off guard, especially in the middle of the month when my SSDI check is pretty much gone, and I just don't have the money to cover this when it's so sudden and pressing to get done ASAP.
No one has to donate, I will definitely try to figure it out, but I was told by friends to ask anyway, so:
COVERED
I will be scheduling the farm vet to come out to do it as that is easiest for me instead of carting 2-3 dogs 40 mins away and taking all day to get everyone done, but it does incur a travel fee.
edit: thanks all! got it covered, will be calling the farm vet first thing tomorrow to get him to come out and booster everyone. this has been a NIGHTMARE.

We gotta start somewhere! For those that haven’t yet, go read everything you can from the official WGA site for the strike. Maybe we can put our heads together and come up with something that could actually have at least some impact. It’s not like we’ve got much else to do anyways…

what really haunts me about trend of replacing actual human-made art with AI art is that 2 years ago, just prior to all of these AI generation apps, i took a cognitive science class which had a whole unit on Artificial Intelligence and Machine Learning and we had an in-class debate on whether AI art was art or not. and i know for a fact that many students made art and had aspirations to work in creative fields (me included) and when we were discussing where AI art would go in the future not a single person out of the 30 people there suggested there would be mass attempts for industries to mechanize art or replace human artists. because to a group of people who a) knows how artificial "intelligence" actually works and b) generally knows how art is made (whether it's writing or painting or acting or singing or whatever) it's just INSANE that there could be any attempt to conflate the two.
and maybe it's telling of our naivety that none of us (professional researchers included) considered that so many people don't really know how AI works or how art is made or that the majority of corporations just sincerely don't care about human-made art and only care about money. but it's also telling how quickly we went from funny chatbots and indecipherable abstract shapes a computer put together to full on professional projects using generated images based off of stolen work rather than paying an artist.

Maybe I am just a Taurus but having a moral backbone is literally so easy!
People who use their trauma or marginalized identities to justify the harm they cause make me so mad like I have crazy CPTSD and I can barely leave my house some days. And yeah all of us mess up and harm people sometimes but not being a shitty person is literally so easy!
