TS2 Lot - McDonald's (Smaller Lot) By 2fingerswhiskey

This is a "small" version of the original McDonald's Lot by 2fingerswhiskey That has less CC and is rotated forward. (That's why is called 0.2)

You can make it Fully funcional! A sim can go there and eat McDonald's Burgers.

I have Included The custom McDonald's foods Made By Sims99Fanatic , So you can purchase the lot as business lot by a sim and (optionally) choose from the menu, (Host Podium) to only serve McDonald's burgers.

The Cash Registers and the host podiums are invisible but there are there (On the front counters).

Also the Chef's stove is invisible But it is there.

There is also a (visible) Close/Open Sign at the "Staffroom" At the wall Next to the computer.

Meshes of the Lot are also included so you don't have to search for them.

While the simplicity of the sim skeletons is a blessing when manually editing mesh bone assignments (like replacing the dreaded shorts bones that distort legs in existing meshes ugh), that’s definitely one place the game shows its age in. Smoother animations would be nice rather than just trying to find compromises and close-enoughs, so I guess that’s a hate. I haven’t got too deep into object meshing yet, but in that same skeleton vein, a while back I wanted to make a chess board that could be placed on tables and the game just wouldn’t co-operate at all with the concept. Arbitrary object locations on y-axis make sense in a way I guess, but the idea was so nice it was a shame to put aside. I suppose another way to approach it would be to add a pile of books or something under the board to fill the forced gap between table surface and the board? So yeah, I’ve got a bone to pick with the bones.

What I love about the game is a lot of things, but broadly? For whatever reason the certain visual blockiness appeals to me still. A game doesn’t need to be heavy, playdough smooth or to have fancy graphics to look and feel good. I love sticking to the old general Maxis range of polycounts in clothes, and trying to work with that through texturing to update it a little to better fit 2019. I know pretty well how TS2 functions, what it’s eaten, what it likes and what it doesn’t. It’s that dear old shit box car that you have to be familiar with to drive successfully to the nearest McDonalds, essentially!
