10 years later - basegame savefile

hello everyone,

today i am sharing something a bit different than usual.

my first savefile using only basegame & no cc.

i have been building on this savefile for over 2 years now. sometimes more, sometimes less frequently. so it's kind of a work in progress still because i don't believe i will ever be 100% happy with it. but i decided to share it with you anyways because there is already a lot to discover and play with in here. many families have backstories and relationships to get you started with some interesting gameplay.

as the title predicts, the stories in this savefile are my imagination of what happens in the lifes of our known townies (and a few new ones) after 10 years. i just realized i could have said 8 years because of how old the sims 4 is by now, but i don't want to go back and change that now.

to make this savefile more fun i decided that everyone can renovate or expand this to their liking and upload their own version as well so we can all get most out of this. if you decide to share your version please use the hashtag #10yearslatersave or tag me so i can check it out.

you can also upload the builds to the gallery if you renovated them. actually do whatever you like with it i just hope you like it and have fun 😊

if you find typos, builds that are not working, relationship settings that i missed or anything like that, please let me know so i can update the savefile in the future. i also want to update the savefile with more worlds from other packs and maybe take some better preview screenshots for this post some day!

anyways, i am happy that i can finally share this with you and really hope you enjoy playing with it, renovate the builds or whatever you like to do!

to install the savefile you only need to unzip the download file and put the .save file in to your saves folder. if you use windows you can probably find that folder here: \Documents\Electronic Arts\The Sims 4\saves make sure that no other file in your 'saves' folder has the same name so you don't overwrite any of you existing ones.

Johnny Zest (né Landgraab)

Age 26 years old

He is a Stand Up Comedian, but mostly does the open mic night circuit. Works odd jobs to make ends meet. He always believes his next gig will make him hit big time. Dreams of opening a show for Baako Jang.

Loves living the simple life. His trailer is enough for him. He's barely there anyway, preferring to be outdoors or out meeting new people.

It doesn't bother him that Nancy 'disowned' him. He likes to think he 'disowned' her and her capitalist ways. He still has a decent relationship with his father, they speak on the phone sometimes. But he is worried about his brother Malcolm following in Nancy's footsteps. Johnny wishes he would think for himself a little more.

Friendly to everyone. See's the best in people. Just a genuinely good guy. But he will stick around for dinner if you invite him in and maybe crash on your couch. He gets lonely.

Architect’s Abode (BG)

This basegame build's home to an architect who loves geometric shapes, concrete, plants, the colour blue and more concrete. On the threshold between contemporary elegance and futuristic fever dream, this design experiment combines comfort, luxury and practicality in a fresh and exciting way. Or maybe it's just a weird and ugly blot in the landscape. There's no arguing about taste, I guess.

An eccentric home for a single sim or a couple, equipped with some special features such as a very platform-y garden, a roof terrace, an outdoor dining area, a pool and a fire pit (just click on the sized down fireplace in the pot to make your sim light a pretty little fire).

As I imagined this to be an architect’s home, the study on the upper floor is accessible only from the stairway on the outside because in case they want to have professional meetings there, clients won’t have to walk through the living space to get to the office. This is the only reason I built it like this. Absolutely not because I temporarily forgot about the existence of the upper floor and had already decided on a layout for the groundfloor when I remembered it...

I originally started building this years ago at about 4am in the morning, which was also when I came up with the roof shape and garden design. Probably explains a lot...

For some minor changes (mainly for resizing some rugs and the wooden frame under the roofing of the outdoor dining space) the T.O.O.L. mod was used, but you don’t need the mod in your game for this to show up the way I built it.

sims 4 crystal legacy challenge

hello! here is a legacy challenge i created while playing the Garden Legacy challenge. i didn’t want to finish on my tenth gen and decided to create my own challenge, based on crystals. this challenge can be continued from a previous save or started in a new one! i also tried to implement base game options for those who don’t own all the packs! some gens do need packs but if you don’t have them, they may be skipped.

general rules ❥ you do not have to live on the same lot for all 10 generations if you wish. ❥ mods and cc are allowed! ❥ no money cheats ! ❥ i’ve assigned a colour to each gen so you may play with berry sims if you wish! ❥ i’ve decided that in each generation you may roll for offspring (rolling a dice or using a random number generator to decide how many children) unless stated otherwise in the rules.

a stone of unconditional love.

growing up, all you ever wanted was a family. leaving home young to start your life, you work on your career while trying to find the one, dedicated to cultivating the perfect life. you work hard to support your family and love your children so much, opening your heart and home to those in need of families as well. you cherish your partner and frequently find yourself going on date nights.

7 Sins Legacy - generation 4 (pride)

Supriya's wedding dress arrived in time for the wedding and it was better than she could have ever imagined. The wedding took place in Myshuno Meadows central park that had been completely transformed to accommodate one of the biggest weddings in this legacy so far. They had invited over 30 guests (which is quite a lot in sims terms, because imagine trying to get all these guests to behave when you just want your sims to get married), and by the time everyone had arrived and was sort of seated, the sun was already setting.
