I am so proud of this build and im very excited to share it with you guys! It was very hard to capture all the detail and areas in so few pictures, but i did my best. Have fun adventuring this build in your games:)

Also never ever has a build taken me this long to do lol, it took two whole weeks of work but i had so much fun!

The zoo has a big entrance area with two info/ticket booths and a little office area, in the same building there is a two story gift shop! 

Next to it is a small keepers hut for food preparation and animal care! 

In total there are 4 big animal enclosures, 2 bird cages, an aquarium building and a pop up show and tell on bugs and frogs for kids! 

There is also a cafe with seating area, and two playground areas for children to play at!

The park also has two toilets, and overall has a lot of detail and decorations, and I really hope you guys like it:)

Some screenshots of my game’s functional zoo I’m trying to set up.

I believe I finally have it functioning like a community lot, thanks to the More Visitors lot trait by littlemssam. The build is not my own creation, nor are all these gorgeous animals that I downloaded from both @pugownedplaysthesims-blog and @kalino-thesims. I didn’t get a chance to catch a shot of the zebra habitat, but they look amazing thanks to Kalino’s pet cc! It took so long to figure out all the mods necessary to make this work, but currently on my zoo lot, which is a residential and run by two Zookeepers that I’ve actually grown quite fond of during testing, are three adult tigers, one male, two female, as well as two tiger cubs, Three adult wolves and three wolf cubs, two red pandas, three koalas, a mother bear and a baby bear and two adult zebras, each in their own little habitats. I also have the little aquarium exhibit with frogs and fish. A little bit ago I ended up downloaded some @bakiegaming animations and I’m seeing where I might be able to place them. 

I can’t even tell you guys how excited I am! It all looks so life-like with all the animals playing or snoozing or swimming in their areas together. I am so in love! So far, all of the animals have stayed locked in their pens, even while leaving. Hopefully that will continue to be the case. Lol. I wish there was a way to prevent npc sims from traveling off lot with the pets. That’s the only thing that worries me. 

There’s also a mod outside of the zoo by @kawaiistacie that actually creates a rabbit hole zoo with a sign, too, just in case I don’t feel like having my sims run through it all manually. Lol. 

I can’t wait to send Pandora over there!

I've had my new PC for two days now and haven't actually ... played anything ...

Mostly because I had some issues with the wifi antenna and games were downloading so slowly it was in literal kilobytes per second for most of the first day I was setting it up.

#now it's working better i want to get every major game installed before i distract myself by actually playing stuff #i'm most of the way there now #bg3 and gw2 are installed along with planet zoo and jurassic world evolution 2 #swtor is halfway done and after that it's just ts4 to go #on another note the tower has a tempered glass side panel and it's kind of weird to see the pc's guts just ... hanging out in there #i've only ever had opaque cases before so this is gonna take some getting used to #also need to fiddle with the settings on the rgb stuff that's in the case #i did specifically go for the non-rgb case and fans but there's glowy stuff in there anyway #and my desk is directly across the room from my bed so the light show gets beamed straight into my eyeballs while i'm trying to sleep lmao

as anyone who knows me will know, my house is a zoo i am a sucker for small rodents, especially guinea pigs and hamsters. last year for my 17th birthday i shared these deco guinea pigs, so this year today, for my 18th, have the natural progression of that post: a 4t2 conversion of @kaisosims' rodents pack! 20 new, modular, decorative fur-baby items & accessories for your sims to adore 🥰

everything that could have fitted slots has slots; the hamster shelf, notably, has a grand total of 15! all of the cages are stackable, i.e.: you can put the animals (which are purely deco) in them, then stack them on top of any other surface--the given ones, or a counter, study table, etc.! more info can be found under the cut 👇

this set was originally supposed to be my... wow... 1000 followers and 17th birthday gift. but back then my cc skills honestly kinda sucked and the slots + transparency drove me to insanity. over a year, 1500 more followers, and a mental crisis later, here we are, with the final product of over 30 hours of hard work! 👏 in any case, thank you all so much for 2500 followers!

THINGS TO NOTE

Pretty much everything that can have a slot, has a slot!

All cages can be placed on other surfaces, like tables, counters, etc.; if you want to place an animal inside of them, do that first, THEN place them on the surface.

Everything is decorative; nothing is functional… yet.

Art pieces are in the Paintings category, surfaces like the Cage Stand are in Surfaces -> Misc, and everything else is in General -> Pets.

You may note that some items have drastically different polycounts from the TS4 originals; this is because TS4 automates the appearance of backfaces, but TS2 doesn't recognise them, so I had to add my own.

During my little break I made my new profile header with TaE Family! 💗💗💗

I did more artworks during the break which I will show later, but this one I'm most proud of. 🥰 I even managed to rip the cheetah's model from Planet Zoo so Kamari finally looks like a proper cheetah (now he's a king cheetah)! 🐆

I will focus more on my Crossverse and those sillies (no promises but I will try my best) and develop them more later. :3

Don't you dare make me choose just one!! But I'm gonna say Vax from CR1, Caleb, Molly, and Beau (and Essek) from CR2, Kaz Brekker and Inej Ghafa from Six of Crows, Nikolai Lantsov from any of the Grishaverse books, Sherlock Holmes (basically any version, but the original ACD stories are my faves), Percy Jackson + Anabeth Chase.

Brookfield, Illinois to see the Brookfield Zoo. It was great, and I have some lovely pictures.
