Evenings on our block were always my favorite part of the day. Once mama would finish making supper, she'd always head out front to talk with the others on our block. I think that's why mama was so liked, she'd always lend a listening ear, but was never quick to put her two cents in since it was mostly gossip they'd discuss. This was a nightly event while we waited on daddy to get home from work to eat. All while us kids hung out together.

Jack Brown and I had been best friends for as long as I could remember. He and Danny were nothing alike, other than them being twins, they might as well had not been related at all.

Jack laughing: I'm so gonna beat you... AGAIN!

I held my breath in hopes he'd fall or miss a box as he jumped through them easily: I swear you cheat.

Jack let out a sarcastic "ha": There ain't no way possible to cheat on this game, sore loser.

Jack made his way to the last box: Victory is mine!

I rolled my eyes as Jack made his way back over to me, handing me the rock so I could take my turn. I jumped on his back: Are you sure you don't have a decoy rock you use when it's your turn?

He let out a small chuckle and he spun around in circles with me on his back: I can't believe we gotta go back to school tomorrow, summer goes too fast.

June sighed: I'm happy to go back, summers are so boring with you here.

Jack set me down: Yeah, well spendin' all summer in the suburbs with grandma makes it go even quicker knowin' I'm comin' back to antsville.

Danny walked down from their front steps and playfully started shoving Jack: What's up squares?

Jack pushed his hand away: You always kill a good time.

Danny smirked: Ain't that a bite. [he looked at me and smiled quickly].

Jack: Where are you goin'?

Danny: End of summer bash. What's it to ya?

Jack rolled his eyes: It's a school night. Ma's letting you go?

Danny's expression fell annoyed: Ma doesn't know, she thinks I'm goin' to mow lawns and earn some cash for some new sneakers.

Jack: Nifty.

Danny nodded his head at us as he started making his way down the block: Catch ya later nerds.

The alarm goes off at 5am. Time to wake up, throw on some jogging attire and head out into the early morning Newcrest. After a hard morning's exercise, Nancy heads to meet the girls at their favourite local cafe. It has a wide range of delicious vegetarian foods. Her favourite? The Buddha Bowl with honey and tahini dressing.

Generation 1 - Part 1

Bei Eija hat sich im laufe der Zeit heraus gestellt, das sie es liebt getragen zu werden.

Eija ist ein vorsichtiger Säugling. Das bedeute, das sie es liebt in einer gewohnten Umgebung und mit Sims zusammen zu sein, die sie bereits kennt.

Daemon hat in der Zwischenzeit gelernt, wie man anderen zu winken kann. Das ist wirklich sehr süß. Es ist so eine aufregende Zeit, wenn die Kinder nach und nach alles entdecken.

Eija ist eine Frühaufsteherin, sie ist immer deutlich früher wach als ihre Brüder. Sie hat das erste Mal ein Schaumbad bekommen und liebte die Zeit, in der sie in der Badewanne rum planschen konnte.

Als Eija einige Zeit unter ihrem Spielbogen verbracht hatte, hat sie die Fähigkeiten des Gurrens, des Lachens und die Hand nach etwas auszustrecken entwickelt.

Eines Nachts trieb sich eine komische Gestalt vor dem Haus herum. Es stellte sich schnell heraus, das es sich um einen Einbrecher handelte, der versucht hat in ihr Haus einzubrechen. Mareike rief sofort bei der Polizei an, die auch umgehend vorbei kam.

Eija lernte das Greifen nach den verschiedensten Sachen und fing auch langsam an zu brabbeln.

Als Rahul wieder einmal Zeit mit Calisto verbrachte um ihn zu fördern, lernte er, wie er sich von selbst auf den Rücken rollen konnte.

Eija hatte es geschafft, das erste Mal die ganze Nacht durchzuschlafen.

Calisto hatte sich selbstständig beigebracht sich auf den Bauch zu rollen. Die Kinder machen alle einen sehr guten Fortschritt in ihren Fähigkeiten. Mareike und Rahul sind sehr stolz auf die drei kleinen.

Leider vermissten sie Adriana sehr, die zur Zeit auf ein Internat gehen musst, das sie in der Schule nicht sehr gut zurecht kam und dort sehr schlechte Noten bekam. Sie hoffen das es bald bergauf gehen würde und Adriana schnell wieder zu ihnen nach Hause kommen konnte.

When she found out that her father left his ranch to her daughter, she thought of the idea to have Sadie use her "lawyer skills" to transfer ownership to herself. That way she could sell Cloud Hill and use the money to open her own bar.

Sadie was not surprised that her mother felt little to no sadness about Grandpa Stu dying but, she could not believe her mother wanted to sell the ranch. Sadie is not going to let that happen.

Traditions are normally passed down through a line of generations. Refreshed and renewed through each year they pass along the lines. One thing that's sure of traditions is they're often full of love, laughter and the making of memories. Every year Delilah and Owen hosted a holiday party from the time Lawless was young.

Delilah: I think that's everything.. Jack, how's the ham looking?

Jack: .....

Delilah raised an eyebrow and turned around, Jack was looking distressed.

Jack: How do I check?

Delilah rolled her eyes and laughed: Ya open the oven door and look at it.. Oh just move, I'll do it.

She rushed over and shooed him away sliding on her oven mitts.

The kids (and Owen) were too occupied talking about school and whatever it is teens talk about to realize the chaos of magic happening over in the kitchen.

Alix and Houstin made their way into the front door, they hung their coats and made their way in.

Alix: Have no fear! Help is here!

She rushed over to the kitchen to help Delilah finish setting up.

And just like every other year they had a wonderful time celebrating together. Lawless always helped with the clean up after everyone was gone.

The Vamp and The Spellcaster

Caleb Vatore wasn’t always the family man he is today. He was once an ambitious, fast-living vampire that trained his vampiric spells to be the best that he could be. 

He would go out to bars, converse with the social elite, and sleep with powerful spellcasters on the daily.

One of those spellcasters was Morgyn Ember, a powerful pyromancer that had worked themselves up to be a sage for the school of magic. Morgyn was smitten with Caleb from the moment they met him. Caleb was charming to everyone in Glimmerbrook, as he used his magic to show off and get the other spellcasters to admire him, but Morgyn had a natural attraction to this dashing young vampire. 

Caleb and Morgyn eventually became lovers, even though Caleb was still a bit hesitant to commit fully. They still became a power couple that almost everyone from Forgotten Hollow to Glimmberbrook looked up to.

One night, they went out for some drinks with their friends, Tomax and Grace.

“The world is our oyster, Caleb.” Morgyn said smiling at Caleb. “Cheers to the future of magic users everywhere!”

Suddenly, a beautiful elven spellcaster walked in, she was wearing all white and had a lighting tattoo on her back. She looked confident and ready to mingle. Tomax looked over and blushed.

“She’s…. she’s beautiful.” He said, looking over at her. “I’m gonna go talk to her.” Grace rolled her eyes.

“That pretty little thing and you? Oh Tomax, you know you don’t have a chance!” Tomax looked hurt.

“You’re always so mean to me.”

“You know I’m messing with you. Go for it!” Grace patted him on the back. Tomax spent the evening trying to woo the beautiful elven storm mage. 

“Maybe I could use my powers, give him a little boost?” Caleb said to Morgyn. “I can make her flirty in an instant.” Morgyn gave Caleb a look.

“That’s cheating. Let him do it naturally. It’s more fun that way.”

“True. It didn’t take you anything for you to like me.” Caleb smiled over at Morgyn and gave them a kiss. Morgyn blushed and kissed him back.

“It’s stronger when it’s a real attraction, anyways.” Morgyn said. “You never had to use your powers on me.”

They spent the night drinking and carousing, and Tomax eventually was able to get the elven beauty to spend time with him. This would eventually lead to their relationship, and Cyrus Stormsong would be born from it. 

 It was almost midnight when another person entered the bar. This time, it was a human woman. A gothic beauty with pink eyes. Caleb’s eyes widened.

“Who..is that?” He asked Morgyn. He couldn't take his eyes off of her.

“Her mother was a witch that passed away recently. She lives on the outskirts of town; we don’t see her much. I wonder what made her come to the bar tonight.”

The young woman came over to Morgyn and Caleb immediately.

“Excuse me, sorry to bother you, my name is Helena.” She said in a melodic voice. “I was wondering if you know anyone that can escort me to Forgotten Hollow? I have business there.”

Caleb suddenly stood up. 

“Hello, my name is Caleb. I’m a vampire. Why do you need to go to Forgotten Hollow? That’s my hometown.” Morgyn was glaring at the both of them now.

“I…well, it’s a long story. I know it sounds kind of odd, but I want to learn about the vampire lifestyle. It might be something that interests me.”

Caleb looked at her curiously.

“Well, Forgotten Hollow will surely teach you everything you need to know. But you need to be careful, there are dangerous vampires there.”

“Oh, I know. I’m prepared to deal with it. Maybe there’s some vampires that are willing to help me though? I’m sure you’re not all bad.”

Caleb smiled at her. “No, we’re not. I have been trying to bridge the gap between humans and vampires since I turned. If you want, I can escort you myself. We can leave tonight or in the morning, I can go out during the sun. It’s up to you.”

Helena smiled back at him now. She was swooning at the sight of a handsome vampire. Caleb is intrigued too. There's something about this woman that makes him feel like leaving everything behind, and running away with her.

”Oh, that would be wonderful! We’ll go in the morning; I’m feeling like having a drink…have one with me?”

“Of course.” Caleb winked at her. Morgyn was fuming now. They knew Caleb was a flirt, but it still hurt to see Caleb so entranced with this woman.

“Caleb, are you really leaving?” Morgyn grabbed Caleb and pulled him aside. “We have business to attend to…people to see, spells to learn!”

Caleb took Morgyn’s hand. 

“I’ll be back, I promise. This woman needs some help, and we promised we’d use our powers to help people, right? Just wait for me, ok?”

Caleb would never come back to Glimmerbrook. In fact, he went on to marry this woman and have a family with her, changing his life forever.

Morgyn is not happy. It's time to blare "You Oughta know" by Alanis Morrisette for the next 25 years.

Although this left Morgyn heartbroken and bitter, they never went after Caleb. They instead continued to train and become a very powerful pyromancer. 

Eventually, Morgyn would eventually make the decision to confront the man that broke their heart.
