Long Live the “Unforseeable Factor”

Hey, @taylorswift 👋🏻. Can we talk for a second!? I just wanted to tell you how INCREDIBLY excited I am for the dawn of a new era!!! I’ve been saving $$ for the impending TS7 tour since the day after I attended my last Reputation show...for a big reason. Yes I’d like to attend multiple shows but this time I also want to BRING MY KIDS!

Which brings me to my point. I want to introduce you to a subset of your “unforseeable factor”. You’ve already met some of us, but there are many more of us out here dying to hug you...with our kids! Yup, we’re Swiftie parents. Diehard Swifties who not only support you and cheer you on but also share our love for your music with our children. We are the fruition of “Long Live”. We show them your pictures, your music videos, your tour videos, freak out over your Instagram posts together, count down together, have dance parties, plan tour outfits, attend concerts, scream your lyrics at the top of our lungs in the car together, search for Elle together....the list goes on and on. We call ourselves the Swiftie Parent Squad, or more recently the “PTO - the Parent Taylor Organization”. Most of us hang out on twitter but some of us like to come over here from time to time too!

Many of us have been fans since day one, most of our adult life. We didn’t grow up with your music but we started relationships with it, got married with it, had our children with it playing in the delivery room, celebrated our kids’ graduations with it, you get the drift. You’ve been with us through some of the MOST IMPORTANT milestones in our lives. This has brought us so close to your music. We respect your parents so much and understand the gravity of every decision they’ve made not only to allow you to pursue your dream, but to support you and be by your side through it. We all dream of meeting not only you, but your mom (and we pray for healing for her every day). We want to thank your parents for the way they’ve raised you and for being there for you through so many difficult times. WE GET IT.

Most of all we are SO EXCITED to see you spread your wings in this new Era! New music means SO MANY new opportunities to bond with our “mini Swifties” and each other, and new opportunities to meet each other and form new lasting friendships through you! Thank you for bringing us together! You have an army of Swifties from multiple generations in us, and we all wish you the best as this new Era begins. 💗🦋

The album literally picked me up from the darkest places I’ve been, and I remember being in awe, how beautifully the album resembled my life at that particular time.
