I want to give a reply to @thequeerspider about Rui and Emu and their storylines, but I think it'll be too long, so I decided to reply with one that I think might be short enough while I'm gathering my thought in this post... But then they continue the debate...? I haven't read all the reply (and frankly I'm reluctant to continue the debate) but I'll try to summarize my thoughts here and make this my last reply. Because I'm not the best in conveying my thoughts I probably don't make much sense but I hope this'll be the last... I may not answer them anymore because I don't want to clutter the comment section either so... Hope this'll be the last. Also, if you read this and you disagree, let's just agree that we most likely have a different view on how we see the stories might proceed and let this be the last debate.

So, whenever I analyze stuff esp. stories, characters, etc., I always think in parallels--both with only in-universe context and the other with real-life context such as the creators thoughts, opinions, and whatever irl stuff that may affect the stories etc.. The reason why I say it's possible for WxS to stay together and it's impossible for WxS to stay together is because both of them are true--it's impossible for them to always be together with only in-universe context, after all no one would know what would happen to them after they enter society only with in-universe context (i.e. probably when Tsukasa and Rui are 22-24 years old, whetever age they were if they graduated from uni). However, real life influences such as proseka popularity, the executives' decisions, and the fans' responses would influence how the writers write the stories.

And again, this is a gacha game. As long as it's still in service, there's no way for them to break up one of the most popular group. And besides, we're almost on proseka 2.5 anniv and all of them hasn't age one bit. With the closest possibility of separation/disbandment is when Rui and Tsukasa graduated from high school which is probably... Looking at garupa and ansuta, on proseka's 6 or 7 years of service? It's too long of a time to think about.

Besides, Garupa and Ainana already have their "disbandment arcs"--Garupa has multiple events with that theme--so that's why I'm not worried. Heck, Nanashisu is probably the one with the biggest crisis of disbandment and yet the main group preserves in the end.

And if people still think it's impossible, the writers can just make WxS so famous that they don't need to disband--they can just perform all around the world together. Or they can have individual jobs while performing as WxS once in a while, you know, like being in the same talent agency, or in the same theater troupe, etc.? Or have them go independent, it'll be more difficult sure, but it's not like they don't have any foundations either. Or even what if the Ootori Group branches into entertainment industry? We know Emu's grandpa is involved in entertainment world, ex. Movies, even overseas, so what if the Ootori group establish a talent agency and recruits all WxS together to be their front group? Just as there are many developments where WxS is separated from each other, there are also as many possibilities to think of how they can stay together from a writer's point of view, you know?

Iirc isn't there a scout interested in Leo/Need in their latest evebt? Leo/Need isn't even a year old either, and they don't even have any "talented person" like Rui and Emu, and yet they managed to catch a scout's interest? Also, if Roselia is able to have a nationwide tour when Yukina and the others haven't graduated yet then there's no way WxS couldn't be famous nationwide either. There are many many possibilities and many many ways the writers can think of to make WxS to stay together for as long as the game is still in service.

For this kind of stories, we need to suspend our disbelief. And see the stories with an optimistic view--usually that's how it goes for coming-of-age stories. If we're too fixated on 'reality' and the impossibility of hopes and dreams etc., it's basically ignoring Proseka main theme which is cherishing your important feelings. Sure it's painful, sure it's hard, but don't throw it away because surely everything will be fine. Idealistic, sure, but what's wrong with that in a game where explosions are common in school and you can have free therapy from a voicebank?

(Also, I like stories where no matter how much difficulties and impossible odds they face, everyone can smile together in the end, look at Ainana and Rezero)

Also, judging from Curtain Call and Amidst a Dream, I think I can say that Rui knows perfectly well that it's impossible for them to keep chasing their dreams together, so that's why he's thinking so hard for a way to make it possible, isn't it? Out of everyone else, I think he's the one who knows how difficult it might be, and yet he doesn't give up. I mean, Rui is their director, and his job is to realize everyone's ideas to make it possible... And Rui's determination in trying to keep WxS chase their individual dream together will not undermine Emu's storyline--because Rui, Emu, and WxS as a group have different storylines.

Rui's storyline has been about his trust with others--In Wonder Halloween, he learned to trust Tsukasa with his demands and in Revival My Dream, he learned to trust Emu and Nene to keep up as well. Even his mixed event, Kamitaka Sport Fes, is about how he learned to trust people other than WxS with his directing. So I think it's just a natural course of the story for his trust to WxS extend into something more--he realized he wants to stay together with WxS. In fact, it'll be unnatural if his next event is about how he needs to accept that they'll part ways. Rui's storyline is always about him reaching out to others and be accepted in return. So if his next event is about him being daring and reaching out a hand to keep them together, it's better if everyone reach out to take his hand.

Meanwhile, Emu's storyline is all about growing up and it's difficulties. Emu acts childish, sure, but it doesn't mean that she's blind to how difficult reality is. She understood why her father and brother decided to renew PWL in Smile of Dreamer, and she understood how difficult it is to make her ideas come true in Pop in My Heart. And she also understood how difficult it is to motivate others in her mixed event, Miyajou Sport Fes. But despite it all, she never stop trying to make her hopes come true--and the stories rewarded it by having others help her in realizing it. She was helped by Haruka and Saki in Miyajou Sport Fes, WxS helped her save her beloved PWL in Wonder Magical Showtime, and they even encouraged her to keep dreaming because they would help her realize her ideals as WxS. While there's always something hopeful about Emu's storyline, there's something that gradually builds up.

While Miyajou Sport Fes doesn't have that much impact, her two event stories before Amidst a Dream shows her gradually growing up. In Smile of Dreamer, Emu said that her reason for disliking sunset is because it meant that a fun day would end. However, in Wonder Magical Showtime, she learned not to fear sunset--or an end--because it means that another day would begin--and she can make it as fun as the day before. In Pop in My Heart, she learned that she needed to look at reality--but it's okay to dream because having her feet planted on the ground would help her reach her dreams. See, she keeps realizing that the world is not as sweet as she hopes it might be, but she learned that it can be as sweet as her dreams as long as she have others to support her. Amidst a Dream makes her realize that nothing will last forever--but we haven't seen her selflessness be rewarded yet like her two previous events.

And Rui's decision will not undermine her determination. Why? Because it's Rui's own decision, not Emu. Emu is already prepared for the inevitable separation (not while the game is still in service most likely), but letting go isn't in Rui's storyline yet--he's still learning how to create bonds with others after all. And his abandonment issue hasn't been an issue because no characters, even Rui, think of it as a problem so it'll stay in the background--just like Tsukasa's and Kanade's fundamental issues. It may or may not be discussed in the future, but like I said, we have plenty of time for that. Proseka isn't even 2.5 years old, we need to be patient.

However, WxS stories is about having the best of both worlds--many many of their songs are about having hopes and dreams and to keep reaching higher. So don't be pessimistic about the stories and just hope for the best.

Tenma (Kamishiro) Tsukasa as Yugi Tsukasa

The mysterious younger sibling to Hanako-Kun had said to have killed. Similar to his brother, Tsukasa does not have much known about himself, for his past is equally hidden from the people around him. Like how Hanako has Nene as his assistant, Tsukasa has his own, even if he isn’t a school mystery himself — rather, he makes himself known through the chaos he creates, cruel as it can sometimes be.

Tsukasa tends to act loud and immature at times, making his assistant seem like the one who makes all of the executive decisions. Despite not being a school mystery himself, he stands as his brother’s opposite, being the one who grants the wishes of the dead. While much is still unknown about Tsukasa, one thing is for sure — he excels in creating havoc.

if i made a list of my favorite mobage/gacha characters from the main series ive been interested in over the years would that say anything about me... (aka bndr prsk and briefly enstars...)

#the only major thing ive seen is that. a lot of the time people change their initial favorite group/unit #which has not happened to me im always like hey i like these guys when first getting into something and 2-5 years later its still true.#i like those guys #even if my specific fav changes theyre still in the same group #i think its gone. kaoru/hagumi --> misaki/kokoro for bandori #tsukasa --> kind of still him but generally just wxs as a whole now #tomoya --> tomoya i suppose. and also kanata i really really liked him back when i was more focused on marine bio #MAYBE IF ANYTHING my top 5 would be a bigger reference to see how my tastes have changed rather than my overall faves #i like it when units are sillyguys btw if you couldnt tell #wait actually. i was always more invested in enst theater club than ra*bits as a unit tbh.#i like it when units are Theater

Hi! I read the tbhk having a nightmare, and the dazai x reader who committed suicide, and the writing was so wonderful! I was wondering if you could write tbhk men with a reader who really liked physical touch. Like she would randomly grab their hand and rub patterns on it, or hold onto their arm when they walked. Just harmless little touches (not in the weird way lol)

He was so confused at first, watching you rub circles onto his palm.

But he sort of just let you roll with it and didn’t ask any questions. I don’t even think he would tease you for it.

In fact, he even started to like it. The way your warm skin feels against his, and the sweet smile that appeared on your face.

Hanako would occasionally put out his hand for you, so you could play around with it, a slight blush on his face.

”Here, you like playing with it, right?”

It really just made him feel happy when he saw the way your face lit up every time.

Tsukasa (badly written)

Just like literally any tbhk x reader headcannons, Tsukasa teases you a lot for (literally anything) your love of physical touch.

Ok, so you really enjoy patting his head and playing with his hair. And he moves around a lot, which really frustrates you.

I’m not saying he doesn’t like it, but he’s just really hard to control.

So you get Sakura to help pin him down while you mess with his hair.

You’ll be getting a lot of complaints from him, I’m sure.

He occasionally teases you for it, but not as often as you might expect.

And it’s probably because he just likes the feeling of it.

Kou Minamoto

Kou would get flustered when you suddenly cling onto his arm like that!

He won’t say anything about it but he’s feeling really embarrassed.

But that also sort of makes him feel important, like he’s protecting you from something by staying in that position.

Although you clutching onto his arm became a regular occurrence, he would still freeze up when you touched him.

I guess he’s just embarrassed :)

But he’ll still reach out for your hand either way.

Because to him, you’re the most precious person in the world.

And one day, he’ll make sure he’s strong enough to protect you for real.

Sousuke Mitsuba

Hugging him from behind!

He would jump high like a cat the first time you did it. He gets used to it, but he still jolts a little whenever you take him by surprise.

”A-are you being weird right now, y/n?!”

He says that jokingly (of course).

He would hesitantly return your hugs, his face red with embarrassment, and you would just stand there with Mitsuba’s arms around you for a few minutes, enjoying the warmth.

Mitsuba is also an enjoyer of physical touch!

I think he would constantly play with your body parts, with or without permission.

As long as you get to do it, he does too!

Your absolute best friend in the marine bio club, he loves researching about cute creatures and taking care of them too!! Souma isn’t really focused on romance, he’s really glad to have found friends like you and Adonis. But, why was he feeling some sort of way around you? Your smile was so soft, he felt his heart beat at the thought of it, and how warm your personality was with him. He was scared to even confess because you’ve been such a good friend to him that he really doesn’t want to ruin that friendship.

But its not like you have hinted anything towards him. It’s always been Adonis or Kanata, hell, even Kaoru, he wants you to look at him for once, just once and say you love him. Souma started to doubt whether or not to tell you, when suddenly as he opened his locker, saw an envelope with your name in it, addressed to him. He decided on going to the place you mentioned in your letter, seeing you there with a smile.

“Y/n…do you feel what I feel? I really enjoy your presence, but I can’t help but feel I want to be more than your friend, perhaps a partner? If you want to stay as friends then I understand-“

With that, you kissed him, he felt like his world was just surrounded by you and just you both. As you parted away, Souma blushed a bit, smiling brightly but slightly embarrassed as you spoke

Let’s face it, you’re friends with Yuta and best friends with Hinata. He hates feeling like a second option towards you when Hinata isn’t there. Of course, you share moments like any good friend would, talking and spending time together. But it was all about Hinata; Hinata this, Hinata that. Yuta started growing feelings of jealousy for a while, but he couldn’t just go to his brothers best friend and admit of their crush, opening his heart out there and waiting for it to be held or acepted, anything but crushed.

Yuta knew he had to act one day or another, it can’t stay like this when you’re just there, being so kind to him even if he felt like a filler for when Hinata wasn’t there. Until one day, his brother found out about his crush, and promised him that he wasn’t interested in you, after all, Hinata felt like you were the sister they never had. After that day, Yuta saw things clearly, not blinded by the silly jealousy towards his brother and now focusing on winning your heart. Eventually, he invited you out to hang out together, which could be considered a date but he liked saying they were only going out as friends. Right after ending the date, Yuta held your hands softly, sighing before speaking.

“So, I wanna thank you for accepting my invite um to go out..but I also want to say something important-“

You cut him off by kissing him, he stood still, a bit in shock while his heart felt like it was about to burst.

“I like you too Yuta..sorry if I made you feel in any way less than your brother, you’re very important to me, you both are”

Suou Tsukasa✰

Your friendship began with your father’s company partnering up with Tsukasa’s. You both instantly clicked having somewhat same interests, going to cafe’s around japan whenever your families traveled to other cities. Suou loves going to Yumenosaki Academy with you, it’s a routine going in and out and after school, taking you to the sweet fan club. It’s no surprise when the members of the club ask if you’re dating, to which Suou just blushes and denies it. Perhaps he was developing feelings for you?

No it couldn’t be, you were his best friend, and childhood one too. Kohaku had seen Suou doubtful at times and comforted him, encouraging his cousin to give it a try if he truly loved you. Even if things wouldn’t be the same after, Suou was really going to give this a try. The following days consisted of him acting more affectionate and close with you, gifting you small things like your favorite sweets even jewelry as well. To the point where you confronted him about all the sudden coddling.

“Okay Suou listen I appreciate the gifts and the kindness, but..is there a reason why you’re doing this? I mean- wait, you’re definitely hidding something right? Come on I know you and I’ve done so my entire life, it can’t be that bad-“

Suou leaned forward, kissing you softly as he had felt brave in that moment, soon pulling away muttering a small apology as he sighed

“I-I’m sorry, I really love your company and your sweet personality, you’ve showed me how to love and feel loved. I truly hope you feel the same as I do”

Himeru✰

After the incident regarding his brother, Kaname, Himeru learned everything about his brother. People didn’t find him strange, or acting weird when referring to himself in third person, after all Himeru knew how to blend in well with the crowd. Except for one person, you. Knowing Kaname well had it’s things, like predicting what things he wanted to do or talk about in the moment, even sharing class schedules with each other, so you knew he was not Kaname, but instead his brother who he had mentioned briefly before Himeru had come in as ‘him’. Still, Himeru had that side of him that made you look at him in another light.

Of course, he was portraying as his brother but, something about Himeru was just so different, he was more mature, rationalized everything and serious in a way that made you like him? He was kind and gentle with you, almost sickening, but in a good way. A year passed by and Himeru invited you to see his brother, how the incident had left him in a state of coma, tears were shed that day, and a lot. But you knew how much trust and care he had in you. So when he pulled you aside as you walked towards the place he’d ask you to meet him at, you weren’t surprised at what he said.

“Himeru hopes this is enough appropriate to aproach you this way. Himeru asked for you to meet him here, Himeru is thankful for that…would you be willing to give Himeru the opportunity to show you how much ‘I’ love you?”

You smiled, one he loved seeing so frequently. He placed his arms around you in a comforting way, kissing you softly while smiling

“Yes Himeru, I love you, not because you’re ‘impersonating’ your brother but, because i fell in love with the real you, the real Himeru thats under that façade”

Kohaku Oukawa✰

Being part of whatever Madara dragged him into, wasn’t easy, especially with making acquaintances rather than his unit mates and Madara himself, not to mention his cousin Suou who is somewhat friends with you. He can’t even recall the time you both met, perhaps his cousin introduced you or he had seen you around the Reimei dormitories. Even if Kohaku didn’t attend school, he looked forward in meeting you in the hallways of the dorms. His conversations being short and direct but well mannered, he seemed to have taken a liking to you.

Or more like a slight fling of trust towards you since you knew his cousin and friends well. It wasn’t like him when he offered you to join him and share some of his favorite sweets or chatting online when you didn’t have time to hang out, always ending up with photos of Kohaku and the thing he was so busy at. Sometimes it would be photos of him at the practice studio or helping Madara out with something, they were really cute, but he didn’t have to know that, right? Then he suggested you both went out, taking you to his favorite shops and cafe’s filled with pastries from around the world, sharing a bite of the (favorite pastry) you were eating as he spoke, now having the opportunity to do so since you were both in a much more secluded area.

“Hey so..would it be alright if I..confessed? Okay no I’m not gonna beat around the bush, I like you, a lot. I talked this with Madara and he said i should tell you since honesty is important and”

He stopped, looking at you briefly after you had kissed him momentarily on the lips, he stared for a bit before snapping back into reality, coughing a bit as he averted his eyes across the room, trying to hide the embarrassment he felt because you liked him back and kissed him, even though he wanted to do so first

“Perhaps a little birdy might’ve told me something like that before…however the answer is still the same, I like you too Kohaku, thank you for being honest, I really like that about you too”

“HE WHAT-“

Kanata Shinakai✰

You both met thanks to Madara and Ryuusetai. Since you worked with Madara on some missions, you actually knew Kanata when he was proclaimed to be a ‘god’. The shinkai cult was a very harsh one but, after Madara had saved Kanata, he was in your ‘debt’. But it never felt that way to either of you, Kanata is your best friend, one that always drags you towards any nearby water or anything you both enjoy. He really likes spending time with you and will not back off if you tell him he’s “too clingy”. People always say you were like platonic soulmates, but you’d always denied it with a small blush on your face.

However, feelings started to develop when he would always go towards you in need of help or advice, even saying good morning before anyone else, you were first and it made you feel something whenever he smiled at you or dragged you into the cold water of the fountain. Kaoru was the first to notice your feelings whenever you came by the marine bio club, cheeks a bit pink as Kanata hugged you. It was kinda obvious of how much you liked each other but were oblivious to it. Till one day, he invited you out to meet him in one of his favorite spots, laying out a blanket with some of your favorite snacks, looking at the ocean in front of you as he held your hand under the afternoon sun.

“I think I’m developing ‘feelings’ for you~ Y/n~, do you ‘like’ me too~?”

Smiling, he knew to take that as a sign to kiss you, his lips soft against yours as you parted away slowly, taking the time to admire his features and how the wind moved his hair slightly

“I love you Kanata, it feels like we’re destined to be with one another”

Arashi Narukami✰

The cool stylish best friend you were so proud to have. Arashi knew the best skin care products and even gave you tips from time to time. She was the best to go to if you had any problems about anything. You both met at one of her regular make up stores to go to in the daily, she just so happened to love your fit and exchanged numbers. Arashi invites you to a couple of her shootings sometimes, looking your way when she’s posing or winking and the staff is quite positive that you’re dating each other. To which Arashi has no objection to but you’re almost sure she’s teasing you.

Besides you both have been friends for a couple of years, it’s nothing serious…or so you thought. Arashi had arranged a dinner after her regular model shootings and invited you, alone. Which caused some doubts because she would normally invite the rest of the Knights with you to eat together, especially for dinner. Upon entering the restaurant, placing your orders and sitting down, Arashi took out what seemed to be a box, you almost thought she was asking you to marry her but as she opened it, there were two rings, almost equal, she smiled and seemed a bit bashful as she spoke.

“You know I’m not really used to any of this but, I like you Y/n, I saw these rings and thought why not use them as promise rings? I hope you like it~!”

You smiled and held her hand as she kissed your cheek softly, then moving to kiss your lips briefly. Arashi then placed the ring on your finger as you did to her’s too. Many people thought it was an engagement and congratulated you both, even if it wasn’t, you ended up getting free dessert and a wonderful time with her

“I like you too Arashi! What just happened feels like something out of a fairytale, it was so romantic, thank you for the wonderful time~!”

Hiyori Tomoe✰

Your 'archnemesis’ that turned into your best friend. Hiyori really didn’t get along well with you, especially when you hanged around with Jun most of the time, talking about similar interests as he watched you both from the sidelines while he waited for Jun to finish his conversation. It wasn’t fair whenever Jun opt to spend more time with you rather than him and his dog Bloody Mary. However one time, Jun went off with Makoto, leaving you alone with Hiyori and his dog, he then realized how kind you were with everything, especially Bloody Mary. After that day you both became the most inseparable of friends. Always giving you tips on your wardrobe and going out to get lunch or a cup of coffee to start the day. When he invited you to his concerts and events, you were always there, first row cheering him on as he looked at you from the stage. Something about seeing you so cheery in the crowd made his heart flutter, he felt so loved and cherished by his best friend.

Although he wouldn’t consider that anymore, it had developed into a crush throughout the weeks, leaning into your touch more as you both linked arms or his arm around your shoulder. He trusted you with some of his worries and inquires, always looking forward to your advice whenever he felt down or lost. He eventually ranted towards Nagisa and Bloody Mary, to which Nagisa pretty much replied with “be honest with them, you never know unless you say something”. Nagisa was right, he had to do whatever it took to say how he was feeling and Hiyori wasn’t backing down on this. It was when he had the idea to confess after one of his concerts with Eve, after briefly finishing and the majority of the people had left, he requested for your presence in his dressing room, escorted by one of the bodyguards Ibara had hired for the concert. Soon entering his dressing room and seeing flowers everywhere, even a small rose petal line leading directly towards Hiyori as he smiled and held a beautiful bouquet of your favorite flowers.

“Hiyori! Wow it’s so beautiful..but, why all this commotion? I mean I love it but-“

You felt his lips against yours briefly, a soft giggle leaving his lips as he leaned towards you once more, catching you by surprise again

“My dearest Y/n! I must admit you’ve caught my eye, and I have developed feelings for you, I hope you truly feel the same”

Ritsu Sakuma✰

Ritsu had admired you from afar for quite some time now, noticing how happy you were with his brother and unit, too busy to even notice his presence whenever he was sleeping nearby, but that all changed once his brother had invited you over to dinner at their home. That’s how the friendship became to grow, you both shared similar tastes, music and even things like sleeping. He was your best friend since then and has been for a couple of months. Unfortunately, since he still holds a grudge against his brother Rei, you were kinda forced to choose between them, although not necessarily since you’d seen Rei almost everyday and Ritsu too, separated from each other. He opened himself up to you, telling Y/n how he felt like his brother had abandoned him at one point and how he didn’t want to feel that ever again, to which you had promised to stay by his side no matter what.

Soon, friendly cuddles were a thing under his favorite spot at the garden before going to the tea club. It felt like a routine; waking up, going to school, spending time with Ritsu and so on. Whenever he saw you with his brother, he really wasn’t jealous, just annoyed and bothered at the sight of Rei touching your arm slightly, whenever that happened he always approached you and placed his arm linked with yours as he waited for you both to finish said conversation. Feelings started to grow when he saw you waking up from one of your usual naps together, the way you slowly opened your eyes and how the sun softly graced your face, you looked like a sleeping angel, quite literally. He took it upon himself to confess the very day you both graduated, the last time you would’ve seen each other if it weren’t for his plans. Ritsu had pulled you aside, taking you to your usual spot as you both smile, a bit tearful at the sight of not being able to come back and share moments with each other but that’s when Ritsu held your hand softly

“Y/n..I want to apologize for how late this confession came to be but..I love you, I don’t want to let go of you just yet, or ever..please stay with me”

Ritsu asked as you smiled, his hands now on your cheeks as you pulled him in for a kiss, it felt so right to share such intimate moment with your now lover as he pulled back, looking at you dumbfounded for a moment as you spoke

“I love you more Ritsu~ I can’t wait to find more spots under trees so we can spend all the time in the world cuddling together”

Ibara Saegusa✰

The protective best friend who doesn’t like anyone coming near you. He’s always been like that, since day one of your friendship. Ibara at first offered you to work with him since the job was open to be his assistant. Then it turned into late night talks and drinking some coffee in the morning before attending to important stuff that he realized he had actually found a friend for the first time in ever. Apart from Eden and Adam if that counts, he really felt at ease around you. His work became less heavy and less dull, thanks to the help of a kind friend like you and the company he had every day, he seemed to be in a better mood each week. In business meetings or Eden/Adam practices, he’s always keeping an eye on you, if anyone makes you uncomfortable or your well-being overall. Even attending his lectures, he felt happy seeing you taking notes and being so attentive when he told his speeches.

It’s so weird seeing that he prioritizes your friendship over his work a few times like taking you to lunch or spending time doing whatever you both want. It caused some curiosity between the members of Eden since Ibara would always be swarming in work and the progress of their units. They sincerely have to thank you for letting him see his soft spot, his sweet side to all that workaholic Ibara. It was quite refreshing to be honest, seeing him so at ease and the strees and burden from over the years were at much calm now beside you. It was love, he couldn’t imagine a life without you, Ibara imagined the day where he would wake up beside you, smiling softly as he kissed you so dearly in the morning. He thought that those “daydreams” of you both spending time together was normal, but he was just really catching feelings. After a long time of consideration, he decided to take you out to a very exclusive dinner, one which the entire restaurant was worth more than the entire ensemble square. He sat in front of you, letting you choose a variety of dishes before grabbing your hand and speaking

“I’ll keep this short and simple, I really love your company, and I can’t help but wish more of it, more of your touch..if you catch what I mean..please don’t keep me waiting, the thought of being rejected is harsh but I’d rather know that- mmmphf-!”

He felt himself turn red, cheeks flaired with a pink hue as he felt your lips against his, his face was priceless. Chapped but so soft against yours, he didn’t want to let go, even for a catch of air, however when you did, your hands linked as you smiled

“I love you as well Ibara, don’t stress over something that was already expected from the both of us~”

“Tsukasa, remember what I told you before?”

You ask in a monotone voice, looking up at your boyfriend who was hugging you from behind.

“I remember every word you say, love, but you have to specify for me to know which one you’re referring to.”

He holds you closer to him and you could feel his warmth seeping in through you. If this were you from 3000 years ago, you would’ve enjoyed his warmth and think of how lucky you were to have someone like him as your lover.

But now, it all just seems so…suffocating.

Ever since he’s been revived back by Senku and joining the Kingdom of Science, he has become more protective and possessive of you.

No, that’s not it.

He’s already shown that kind of behaviour long ago. Maybe you didn’t realize it 3000 years ago because you two just started going out but even before when Tsukasa still was in charge of his own empire, you could’ve at least noticed the red flags he was giving.

He constantly asked you to stay with him and won’t let go of you almost until the end of the day. Even when you were about to try to do something else, he would grab you and force you to sit on his laps.

His grip on you was gentle, but it was enough to make you stay and not move around too much.

You haven’t told this to anyone yet, not even Mirai, but you were actually…dreading the time when Senku will petrify him and revive him back.

All those times when Tsukasa was still in his cryogenic state, everyone kept encouraging you to stay strong and reassuring you that Senku will revive him back soon.

And you would always just reply to them with a wry smile and a “I’m fine,” so as to not worry them.

You originally had thought you were going to feel depressed about this whole ordeal too. But you never did.

In fact, you felt so…free. Almost as if a big burden had just been lifted from your shoulders. You were happy with that.

You actually even wished Senku never found the Petrification Weapon. You truly enjoyed the freedom that you felt. You wished it would stay.

But in the end, nothing ever stays.

Tsukasa was revived and you are back in his grip once again.

You hated every moment of it.

“About being too protective of me! I was just going to help Gen with some of his work. I know you’re protective of me because you’re worried, but can you please just let me do something to help others?”

You finally break free from his hug and turn to him. Your eyebrows are crossed, showing how displeased you are with the whole situation.

“But if I let go of you, you’ll definitely run away from me.”

Your eyes widened at what he said. You didn’t expect him to feel that way. All this time, you had thought that the reason Tsukasa was so overprotective of you might’ve been because he was worried…or maybe even because he wanted to have control of you.

You went quiet for a moment. In a sense, he’s not wrong. But to actually know he felt that way…it’s actually making you feel guilty.

“Tsukasa….I won’t run away from you, so don’t worry, alright?”

You wrap your arms around his large frame, successfully convincing him that you won’t do something like that. He returns the hug and pulls you closer.

“…Y/N, if you truly mean what you said, will you forgive me for what I’m about to do?”

You pull away and look up at him, confused.

“Sure?”

Not even a second after that, you felt your consciousness slowly slipping away from you. You could hear the loud throbbing from your neck after Tsukasa just striked it.

“W-wh…”

You mustered up what little strength you have left to let out a “What?” but even that has proven to be difficult. All you managed to hear was Tsukasa’s last words before you completely lost your consciousness.

“Do forgive me for doing this, love. You’re too pure to be tainted by this dirty world.”

You slowly open your eyes to see the darkness greeting you. You tried to get up but your whole body felt so weak and your limbs refused to work for you. You cursed under your breath and tried to adjust your eyes to the darkness. The place sure seemed familiar.

Then it hit you.

It’s the prison.

You tried to scream out loud but your voice only echoed throughout the prison without anyone responding. You could feel your heart beating rapidly like never before as soon as you heard a series of footsteps nearing you.

It’s not as if you recognized the footsteps or anything, but the way the pace is so calm and unrushed even after your scream of help convinced you that the owner of the footsteps knew you’re trapped in there. And they’re not willing to let you out anytime soon.

And who else would want to do such things other than your former beloved,

“Tsukasa…”

You hissed out his name while glaring at his broad figure towering over you over the cell wooden bars.

“I’m sorry you had to go in here, my love. Trust me, I don’t want you to be placed here either, but I have no choice.”

He tried to cup your cheeks in his hands but you quickly moved your face away from him.

“Tsukasa, whatever this madness is, STOP it. Do you think the others won’t know what you’re doing? Soon enough, you will—”

“They won’t. After all, you are considered dead in their hearts.”

He cut you off with those words and your eyes widened in horror at him. Your lips tremble and you try to hide your unease by glaring at him.

Before you could ask him what he meant, he spoke up as if he had just read your mind.

“I told them that you died. An animal attack, precisely. It’s completed with evidence and all. I did also get some helping hand from some people though. Couldn’t have done it without them.”

He stops for a moment to look at you who were frozen in your place and finally cups both your cheeks to bring it closer to him.

“This cell was built especially for you, back when I still ruled over my own empire. It’s located very deep into this cave, and no one would dare to come here.”

“You mean to say you’ve been planning to put me in confinement for a long time now?! What— I-”

Tsukasa looks at you, his eyes turning soft and he looks so melancholic. You almost snapped at him when you saw that expression. If anyone here is supposed to cry, it’s YOU, not him.

“I didn’t think it was necessary…until recently. When other people started looking at you as if you’re some kind of walking meat that they’re about to devour. It disgusts me so much, and I couldn’t handle it anymore…so I made the decision to keep you safe here….and wipe those people out.”

Your blood runs cold at that statement.

Wipe those people out?

He couldn’t have meant that literally….right?

“W-why–”

You didn’t even realize your tears were running down your cheeks until you felt Tsukasa gently wiped them away. He gives you his soft smile that you used to know so very well, yet it felt so foreign now.

“Because I love you, Y/N. I always have and will continue to forever be in love with you.”

Truth to be told I do not fully grasp why the Touhou wiki people are so hellbent on making sure Hisami's omake bio is translated "neutrally" when it comes to her feelings about Zanmu ("admiration" is now deemed too much, lol), it's not like people are assuming she's gay just because of that, her whole thing in the game is longing for the attention of another female character and to get rid of that you'd basically have to remove solid 3/4 of her lines including almost all of the route-exclusive ones. Pretty sure she has about as many lines about Zanmu as Tsukasa has about being treacherous. As I said before, when I first saw the claims online I assumed they are exaggerating the typical level of innate subtext in Touhou , but after reading the script it is pretty hard for me to deny the level of attachment on Hisami's end is pretty unique even by Touhou henchman character standards.

can you talk more about the tenma's relationship with eachother in the au? sorry emu is my favorite character and emu tenma sounds so cute. i'd also like to know more about what's going on with the shinonomes

Of course!!

So, because we know very little about the Tenma parents, in my eyes they're: low key neglectful at worst, high key absent parents at best. A lot of responsibility falls onto Tsukasa as the oldest, especially now that he's a teenager and able to live on his own, even if not legally.

He takes his role as an older brother and caretaker seriously, and he's widely know by his neighbors for being this very polite, kind, gentleman. So they will offer him assistant if they see he needs it (such as when the elderly woman threatened Toya's dad and told Tsukasa to go back home to take care of his friend).

When Emu joined the family, it was meant as a temporary thing, she had other friends she could stay with, Kohane for example, but Tsukasa, Saki, and Toya all made her feel welcomed and loved, so she just, extended her stay until she she's either: ready to go home or wants to go live somewhere else.

Because they're all about the same age, Saki asks Emu when her birthday is. She knows Toya has been the Tenma baby so far. She wanted to see if that changed or not.

Well, Emu's birthday is in September, making her the new Tenma baby.

The Tenma siblings, specifically Tsukasa and Saki, are very close and consider their friends to be family. It's not rare to see one or both of them be worried about one of their friends, that's mainly what ended up getting Toya a permanent room in the Tenma household.

Emu, due to believing she wasn't going to stay permanently, believed she would just sleep on the couch. But she stays in Saki's room.

The Tenmas are a lot different from her family. The house is often filled with noise (she can hear Saki playing her keyboard, moreso since she went to that event with Ichika, she can hear Toya talking to someone, Akito perhaps? And she can hear Tsukasa's sewing machine as he works on costumes and customizing his own clothes). There's always at least one person who will greet her in the morning, at least one person who will listen to her ideas and help her try and work it out, even if it fails. There's this sense of trust between the siblings and Emu, that before long, she feels like she really is a part of the family.

So you can imagine how it felt for her when her bio siblings showed up, finally ready to listen, and at the end of it all, she can't forgive them. She can't go back with them. They don't ask her to, but the dynamic between the Otoris and the Tenmas is so different, and to Emu, the Tenmas are the better option. She felt safe, loved, like her feelings and desires and "childish dreams" mattered with the Tenmas. With her own family? Not so much.

Emu, Toya, Tsukasa, and Saki are essentially this big found family.

As for the Shinonomes, I think by now it's pretty well known that Shinei Shinonome isn't the best dad. He does things he believes are for the best for his kids, such as outright telling Ena that since she had no talent, she would never make it as an artist.

While they aren't as close as the Tenmas, Ena and Akito are still close and can rely on each other if the need comes to it.

It happened more as kids, but they would sneak into each others room when they needed the comfort.

Their dad just, almost always finds something wrong with what they like or what they want to do, and he'll often just tell them over and over why they should just give up just to follow it up with "but it's your decision" or "it's up to you." He's trying to make it seem like he's giving them the option, but his own "opinion" (if you can even call it that) is laid on so thick and heavy, it feels like he's just waiting for either Ena or Akito to finally admit he's right.

So, Ena decided one day, enough was enough, and that one day, as soon as she was able to legally, she would move out. She'd find a good paying job, open commissions, she'd do something to help pay rent.

And while she didn't have to, it didn't feel right to just abandon Akito with a man who didn't care about what he wanted in life. Ena could see how much music meant to her little brother. She could almost always make out the smile on his face whenever he was on his phone with his partner, Toya Aoyagi (who their dad seemed to dislike for some reason, Ena is fully convinced her dad is low key homophobic). She knew their dad was just as against Akito pursuing music as he was against her pursuing art.

Their dad would never stop saying things to "protect" them. If it was meant to "protect" them, why was it hurting them? Why was it invalidating what they wanted? Because they had no "natural talent?" Bullshit. BULL. SHIT.

Ena is preparing for the future. She's getting ready to run. To find real support. To find people who can help her improve and become a better artist than her dad. And she's taking her brother with her. They would cut contact with their dad and his "protection." She'd let Akito chase music and be with Toya if that's what makes him happy. She'd follow her own dream, find artists who can give her genuine critics and tips on how to improve rather than artists who tell her to give up because she has no talent. She was going to work hard to prove to Shinei that she doesn't need him. She doesn't need him to protect her or Akito. They would be fine on their own.
