Hi, hi~! It’s been a while since I’ve posted anything here, huh...! Life has been giving me a bit of a runaround, and I’ve been distracted by EnStars and Blue Lock lately, but I’m happy to be posting stuff again~! I want to start this blog up again with Tsukiuta’s “Taikyoku Denki” drama CD! Thank you again to @melynir​ for requesting~ ^^

The stage is one of my absolute favorites, and I’m so happy to see what they added/incorporated into the drama CD! Hearing the dialogues spoken by the voice actors added a whole new charm to the script~ Also, you can never really go wrong when you’ve got Suwabe Junichi voicing Doutaku--!  o(≧▽≦)o (I know he’s a bad guy, but when bad guys have hot voices, you can’t help but make questionable choices!)

Listening to lipxlip honestly makes me really happy

I don’t think people realize that I literally started to actually learn Japanese and write so much more than I had before because of them 😭

Before I got into lipxlip, back in early 2020 (as I got into them around late April of 2020) I was trying to find something that brought me a lot of joy. I fandom-hopped a lot, and even when I stayed in a fandom for a long time (like dgr or utapri), it still didn’t bring me all that much serotonin. Sure, I was hyperfixated, but I didn’t really spend money on merch or anything.

Not to mention, my music tastes kept changing, so finding songs to vibe to was always tricky. 

I was actually losing interest in everything because of a really bad depressive episode.

And then my (ex) friend got me into lipxlip (though at the time I had told her to get into Tsukiuta in exchange but she never did lol). I liked them. I was decently content.

But I honestly thought that I would never be able to get into the fandom because there was so much about Honeyworks that I didn’t understand.

But I kept learning more, and I saw some popular blogs on here and I was just !!! wow. 

And eventually, the Romeo novel was released, and I really wanted to learn more, so I ended up starting to self-teach Japanese. Hence the eventual translation of the novel. It helped me grasp some concepts better, but I was still pretty shaky. I’m not gonna lie, my tls are pretty shaky still. But they are better than before. I understand more than before.

And while you don’t have to know a lot about your interest to have fun with it, I’ve had a lot of fun learning more and being able to provide not just my own creative content, but being able to provide canon content for the people who are interested.

I still have really bad depressive episodes, but I now have something to fall back on. Something that makes me really smile and enjoy.

And not to mention how relatable the characters of lipxlip and even mona are. It’s honestly really helped me.

That’s why I continue to translate even when it gets stressful, because the end result feels well worth it.

(Also Julietta still makes me stupidly happy)

Where I buy my products from

I thought I would let everyone know about a shopping mistake that happened to me recently. I was relying on a message to purchase Trey from Twisted Wonderland, but we got lost in translation so now I got Jade in his lab uniform. To be fair I was telling my mom over the phone and didn’t double check if it was the correct one. I won’t return Jade though; it is an early Christmas gift from her. Anyway, I just thought I would let people know where I buy my plushies from.

Twisted Wonderland Plushies

I bought all of them off of Etsy and I’ve never had any problems. There’s this one seller I really liked to get them from, but they stopped recently. Most of them price starting from $15 or $25 dollars. When you buy them, I suggest you compare the plushies to the ones on the official site to make sure they’re the real deal. All of the ones I have bought are in fact the real ones and I’m very happy with all of my purchases. Just be careful to see if your favorite character is sold out! 

Shipping will depend on where you live, but for me it takes at least a week and a half. When cleaning, please make sure to hang dry them.

Ikemen Series

I typically purchase them from Animate International. I’ve never experienced anything bad. Everything is priced at an okay price for me. Shipping typically ranges, but I’ve never had anything delayed or late. The best thing about buying from Animate International is that I will always know it’s the official item.

However! The items aren’t the new ones that are being advertised. So, they won’t be the newest edition. For those, I typically have to search the internet for the best seller.

Just some tips: 

Make sure to check if the merch is the official one by comparing photos to the official one on the site. 

Stay away from anything that charges way off the typical price. Ex. if a plushie cost $50 for one

This is just a personal one for me, but I never buy anything from Hot Topic unless I really enjoy the product. This is because you can find it for a better price somewhere else! 

If you buy from Alibaba or anything in relation to them, please be careful. Most of the time these sellers will scam you and steal information. Also, Alibaba is facing business problems so be careful. 

Always find out where you are buying your item from! I’ve learned that if a seller doesn’t say where it’s from then they’re not as trustworthy. It’s also great to know so that you know how long it’ll take to get your product!

hello! sorry to ask you about something that you probably haven't thought about in years (like, 2017 lmao) but i was going through the tsukiuta yumemigusa tag and saw you mention that you had been working on english subtitles for tsukista yumemigusa sakura no sho? did you ever finish them and if so do you plan on releasing them? i have the stageplay itself, i just don't have the english subs :(

Hello there! Sorry for the late reply!!

At the time, that was one of the first subtitling projects I worked on so it took my group a long time and we never got around finishing it. But @kanasmusings is in the process of revising their subs for Yumemigusa which they will reupload eventually. Give them a follow since they also create amazing translations and subtitles for other media too!

Today’s the release of Tsukista’s Act 10 “Taikyoku Denki” in Japan! 

As promised, here’s the kanji/romaji/english translated lyrics for 「太極伝奇～約束～」/「Taikyoku Denki ~Yakusoku~」/ 「Legend of Taiji ~Promise~」!

My Japanese is very average, so there will be mistakes, and it’s my first time translating a song T^T)/  I may re-translate the lyrics after I watch Act 10 www | I’ll explain my translation thoughts under the cut as well ^^ (There are footnotes on the PDF but it’s been shortened so it wouldn’t be too long!)

Some parts of the translations are based from what I know happens in Act 10 so I took a lot of liberty and translated in that sense. The song itself projects a strong sense of longing, promises, and feelings found between partners/bonded pairs. This is reflected in Tsukista Act 10′s theme with partners.

I mention a bit with Chinese terms and topics since this stage is based on the concept of jiangshi plus yin and yang which originates from China ^^ | Even the designs are heavily based on Chinese outfits of a dynasty.

A little more on Qixi Festival (China) and Tanabata Festival (Japan). The general story goes as two people where they represent the stars Vega (female) and Altair (male). They both fell in love but the heavens wouldn’t allow it so they were separated by the Milky Way. They are allowed to meet once a year on a certain date. 

I can’t believe I started this at the end of April and I put it off until now because I’ve been stressed out over the phrasing for some lines but I promised to drop it on this day so here we go ~

[Masterpost] TsukiPro “Taikyoku Denki” Pamphlet Translations

Hello, hello~! Here are the translations for the “Taikyoku Denki” pamphlet that TsukiPro released a few months back~! They added new profiles, and updated the lore that they initially released for Tsukiuta~! It’s a really interesting world, and the lore is equally rich and beautifully established! They planned on using Taikyoku Denki for another ProSta before it got postponed/cancelled, and I hope that they’ll pick it back up again soon!

What we know from TsukiSta 10th is definitely expanded on and updated within this pamphlet, and it was so interesting to see how they connected all of that to already established information~! It’s so great seeing SQ, ALIVE, VAZZROCK, and infinit0 joining in on this world, too~! They definitely add some spice and a whole lotta wholesomeness and chaos into this world.

I hope that you get to enjoy them as much as I did, too~! It’s a really rich world that opens up the imagination, for sure! ( ´ ▽ ` ).｡ｏ♡

A few notes:

Some of SQ and ALIVE don’t have pictures (for now) because their official Twitter didn’t seem to post everyone’s profiles, and we didn’t want to scan the pamphlet for fear of ruining the binding >< I will update them when I get a clearer picture set!

The SQ Twitter posted about answering questions/messages regarding the pamphlet, but they haven’t posted anything about it since they’ve been consecutively busy with AGF, SQS8, and then their “Ano Koro” CD updates. I will update this post when they release their Q & A as well!
