If Mido didn't become a hero; SlimeVillain wouldnt have stopped for him/could have killed someone. Kiri would have never been inspired by Mido saving Baku. Tsuyy&Mineta would have died during the usj. Todoroki would have never started to use his fire. Iida would have been killed by Stain. Kota would have been killed by Muscular. Without his plan Baku might have not been rescued/killed. Eri would still be in the hands of her abuser/more people then just Nighteye would have been killed (Mirio).

if izuku had never become a hero and gotten into ua, the school itself probably would’ve closed down either before or after the summer camp. so many characters wouldn’t be where they are now in their development, or they would be dead. people who say mirio should be the mc are tripping

Manga idea: Spirit Battles

A world where some are haunted by spirits that they must combat on a daily basis. These spirits find them because of their family heritage or because of energy they put out because of childhood trauma. Only those haunted by the spirits can see them and to some the spirits are a mystery or even an excuse.

Our main character is named Himari and their spirit is one of darkness. Its appearance is that of a tall figure with a black cloak and purple eyes.

Chapter 1

Each day Himari awakens to the spirit staring at them from the corner. They feel the weight of the spirits chains on their body. They want so badly to get up and do things they enjoy but the spirits chains are tough to break. If they can break the chains the energy they have to use is sapped from them and doing anything after that is very difficult. The spirit is relentless and uses its chains on their couch, their work chair, and everywhere it can. It also uses its ability to cause Himari to mentally project to dream worlds while awake. While working, driving, anywhere it can. It steals time from their day.

Himari first encountered this spirit as a teenager. They had difficulty making friends which isolated Himari and causing them to put off energy the spirit was drawn to. As Himari became increasingly isolated the spirit grew stronger. It began to use its powers to project mental images and thoughts that Himari hadn’t realized weren’t their own. The spirit was cunning in that way and Himari hadn’t learned some of the techniques to break the spirits grasp just yet.

This continued until one day Himari noticed the figure in the early morning sun. They saw the spirit and saw the chains over their body trapping them against the bed. Himari screamed for their mother, Yui, but the she saw nothing and shook it off as nonsense. Inside Yui was worried that the same spirit that haunted her brother, Himaris uncle, had found its way to her child. Instead of confronting this idea she chose to ignore it and tell Himari to push through it and get outside, pick up new hobbies, and exercise more.

Yui was a harsh mother in that sense. She wasn’t allowed to experience her emotions as a child or teen so she was teaching her child to be the same tough, stoic person she turned out to be. Himari loved their mother but had a hard time in making real connections with her. They wanted to show off their emotional side and be vulnerable but Yui had no experience in that and shut it down mostly. She cared for her child and showed it through small acts of love but was not there for Himari in the emotional sense. This made the spirit able to get a stronger grasp on Himari as they felt isolated even in the place they should feel safest and strongest.

Over the years Himari learned tricks to breaking through the sprits chains and overcoming the mental prisons the spirit put them in. They couldn’t use these with 100% success but could at least overcome a majority of the time. Because of this their mother and everyone around her just thought she was kinda weird but fine.

On a fateful day in high school, a girl noticed the pattern of Himaris behavior. Her name was Tsuyi and she had her own spirit to battle. It made her hyper aware of her surroundings at all times. Tsuyis spirit was panic. It appeared as a yellow figure with rough edges, blue eyes, and was shorter in stature. This spirit whispered in Tsuyis ears things that might happen and told her to be prepared in any terrible outcome it could imagine. Because of this Tsuyi had to constantly pay attention to her environment and lacked focus on other things like school. While their spirits used their own powers in different ways they had many of the same effects on their victims.

Tsuyi and Himari were in the same class because neither was a star student but rather average. Not for lack of intelligence but because of the toll their spirits took on them. Himari lacked the energy to do homework or study and buried themself in things to distract from the darkness spirit. Though at times this is what the darkness spirit wanted. Tsuyi was too distracted to study or focus on homework many times and so both fell behind where they could have been and their families let them know. While Himari had their mother to get onto them about school, Tsuyi was constantly reminded by her aunt that these are the same kinds of behaviors that led to her mother turning out the family embarrassment, including getting pregnant with Tsuyi at a young age.

Both Himari and Tsuyi found comfort in one another because they knew the other had to struggle with their family, school, life, and most annoyingly their spirit. They found strength and support in each other that they had never found before. This angered their spirits and caused them to lash out to try to push them away from each other. However Himari and Tsuyi had figured out the tricks and learned that communication was key to overcoming these issues. This helped to maintain their friendship over many years.

The classroom was buzzing with small talk. Mina sitting on Hagakure's desk, Kaminari and Kirishima making jokes, Bakugo and Deku arguing over All Might trivia. The only person missing from the class was Ochako. Tsuyu started to ask Iida if he'd seen her when Aizawa entered the room.

"Settle down," he groaned, rubbing his forehead.

The class all fell into their seats, facing forward.

"I have some uncomfortable news to share with you."

Tsuyu looked around for her girlfriend, but she still hadn't arrived. Tsuyu raised her hand slowly to ask Aizawa if we should wait.

"Please hold all questions till the end."

Aiziwa hadn't even looked at Tsuyu. She put down her hand.

"I'm sure all of you have heard rumors about there being a traitor here at UA."

The class nodded and shared mixed looks. Tsuyu looked at Iida and he shared her look of concern.

"After much deliberation amongst the teachers," Aizawa stopped to rub his head. "We've decided the best course of action is to tell you the truth. The traitor is Uraraka Ochako."

Tsuyu's heart sank into her stomach. She felt like she was going to throw up. 'How could she do this?' Tsuyu thought.

"She came to us last night and confessed. To say we were surprised would be an understatement."

Tsuyu's hands started shaking. 'Is she okay? What are they gonna do with her?' She rubbed her hand on her leg before raising it once again. She didn't wait for Aizawa to call on her.

"What are you going to do with her?" Tsuyu interrupted. All of her classmates eyes were on her; it made her skin crawl.

"I was getting to that," Aizawa scolded. "She is somewhere on campus, away from everyone else, waiting for judgment. We need to discuss her fate with the Hero Commission."

'I need to see her. I need to talk to her.'

Tsuyu started to speak again but Aizawa beat her to it.

"No one, is allowed to see her."

'Damn it. I can't let it be. I need to be with her.'

"If anyone is caught trying to see her, they will be prosecuted along side her. She came to us on her own free will. Don't make it worse for her."

Tsuyu's blood went cold. 'Will I ever see her again? Will I get to say goodbye?'

"Due to these extenuating circumstances, all classes have been canceled for the day. You are to return to the dorms and stay there."

Aizawa left without another word. The class immediately began to buzz with chatter.

"How could Uraraka do this?" Deku asked as he devolved into a rambling mess.

"I knew it!" Aoyama boasted.

More and more students chimed in, all talking about traitor Ochako. That word stuck in Tsuyu's mind until it was the only thing she could hear. She flashed back to their first date: getting boba under the cherry blossoms. To winter kisses and hot chocolate. To warm hugs and sleepy movie nights. Over each image flashed the word "traitor", everytime stabbing her heart with a knife. Tears filled her eyes; she needed to leave. Iida tried to talk to her, but she shrugged him off.

Tsuyu was halfway down the hall when she ran into Bakugo.

"Where are you going frog face?" He asked, arms crossed in front of him.

"Ah," Tsuyu stammered as she stumbled backwards. "I'm going to see Ochako, kero." There was no point lying to him. He would find out eventually.

"Tch. Didn't you hear what Aizawa-sensei said? If you go, it might very well make it worse. For both of you."

Tsuyu stared at Bakugo, examining his face. His words were harsh, but his face looked almost caring.

"I have to see her."

Tsuyy tried to push past him, but he grabbed her wrist.

"Let go of me Bakagou!" She shouted, not caring about any onlookers.

"No! I won't let you ruin this for you and round cheeks."

Tsuyu yanked her wrist out of his grasp, but stayed with him.

"If it was Deku what would you do?" Tsuyu asked. "If you thought you'd never get to see him again, would you not risk everything to say goodbye!" Tsuyu cried, tears streaming down her face.

"I don't know."

Bakugo placed his hands on her shoulders, doing his best to comfort her.

"But right now, you seeing her will only make things worse. She went to the teachers willingly. Don't make it worse for her, or you."

Tsuyu stared up at Bakugo. She wiped the tears from her eyes, unable to form words.

"I know you love her," Bakugo whispered, squeezing her shoulder. "Trust that she'll be okay. Trust her."

Tsuyu's tears came back ten-fold as she cried into Bakugo's chest.

"How- can I trust her? When- she didn't- trust, me?"

Bakugo stroked her hair, trying to calm her down.

"It's okay. Let it out."

The two stayed in the hallway as Tsuyu grieved. The rest of the class was long gone by the time she finished.

"Better?" Bakugo asked, pulling out a tissue and handing it to Tsuyu.

"Kero."

"Good. Now let's get back to the dorms so I can wash the snot out before it stains."

Tsuyu punched his arm and he punched her back. The two walked down the hallway, laughing about some inside joke. The word 'traitor' still echoing in the back of Tsuyu's mind.

There’s a small box left on Tsuyi’s desk without any sign of who its sender was, a little note only saying it’s for her on top; inside are vials of various types of dust with a little typed out note inside: “Dust is always a safe bet. I know you’ll make good use of it.”

Hm?

Gasping at the sight of dust inside the case, Tsuyi’s eyes practically lit up as she quickly moved inside--the bottles were so unique, and the presentation was...well, it was great!
