Stella Oakes in a ball gown by Lanvin-Castillo.
On yards and yards of gathered white tulle, silver bugle beads embroidered like rain showers.
Above, a wonderful floating confusion of red tulle scarf, hanging from the shoulders and wrists. To complete it all, a sweet aura of Lanvin's "Prétexte" perfume.

Wedding gown styles vary widely, catering to different preferences, body types, and cultural influences.
Here are some popular wedding gown dress styles:
Ball Gown: This classic style features a fitted bodice and a full skirt that begins at the natural waist, creating a glamorous and princess-like silhouette.
A-line: Similar to the ball gown but with a more subtle flare, the A-line dress is fitted at the bodice and gradually widens towards the hem, resembling the shape of an uppercase "A."
Mermaid/Fishtail: This style is fitted through the bodice, hips, and thighs, then flares out dramatically at or below the knee, creating a mermaid tail-like effect.
Sheath/Column: This style has a narrow, straight silhouette that flows straight down from the neckline to the hem. It is simple, elegant, and often suitable for beach or destination weddings.
Empire Waist: The waistline is raised above the natural waist to just below the bust, and the rest of the dress flows down in a loose, flowing manner. This style is flattering for various body types.
Tea-Length: This dress has a hem that falls between the ankle and the knee, creating a vintage and playful look. It's a popular choice for less formal weddings or those with a retro theme.
High-Low: Featuring a hemline that is shorter in the front and longer in the back, high-low dresses are a modern and trendy option for brides who want a mix of traditional and contemporary elements.
Trumpet: This style fits closely to the body until mid-thigh and then flares out into a trumpet shape. It is a compromise between the mermaid and A-line styles, offering a balance of fitted and flared elements.
Bohemian/Boho: Often characterized by flowing fabrics, lace, and relaxed silhouettes, boho wedding dresses are perfect for brides seeking a laid-back and free-spirited look.
Vintage/Retro: These dresses are inspired by fashion from different eras, such as the 1920s flapper style, 1950s tea-length dresses, or 1970s bohemian chic.
Two-piece: A modern and trendy option, two-piece wedding dresses feature a separate top and skirt or pants.
