There's no fucking way a 50minutes long video calling Samgladiator a king of role-play pop up in my recs. Just. No. Head in hand. don't even watch the guy. Further prove that YouTube recommendation is trash.

Argh, Tumblr.
Is anyone getting tonnes of bots of every day, and you’re having to block them? Ever since things went down on Twitter, bots with links to ‘OnlyFan’s’ and other types of websites are following my profile every day, it’s getting so irritating, and Tumblr of course, aren’t doing anything about it.

LOOKING UP (OLD) NOTES ON A TUMBLR POST
So I joined Tumblr a while back (that is to say, I'm not a Muskrat-era Twitter refugee). But not long ago enough to be really proficient – I'm still fumbling my way around things (yes I'm a Fumblr on Tumblr 😂).
Doesn't help that the good folks behind the site are constantly updating and improving things (which is a good thing, don't get me wrong) – it's a bit of a moving target sometimes, which means you do have to relearn what works and what doesn't when things change.
So a thing I learnt recently is that you can view a post in a couple of ways on Tumblr – on your feed (the Dashboard) and from your archive. And it's not quite the same beast in those two situations, in that the same post doesn't behave in quite the same way.
This relates specifically to looking up old notes on a post.
Say you have a post (or a reblog) that is (or becomes) popular, with many comments and reblogs (with tags). Some of the comments and tags may be informative, inspiring, or motivating – for whatever reason, rereading them can be useful and/or fulfilling.
But posts/reblogs in the archive only show notes up to a certain point, and older ones aren't visible (at least with my default settings).
I found out you CAN see them again – just open the post with Dashboard View settings.
There may be a better way to do this (let me know if there is) but here's how I do it:
When viewing a post from an archive (yours or someone else's), the URL in the address bar of your browser will look something like this: https://«blogname».tumblr.com/post/«string of characters»/«textname assigned to the post by Tumblr»
To open the post in Dashboard View, you need to change the text in the URL.
Delete "«blogname»" AND the period in front of "tumblr.com", and also replace the word "post" in the URL with the blogname, so that the URL becomes like this: https://tumblr.com/«blogname»/«string of characters»/«textname assigned to the post by Tumblr»
Do NOT change the string of characters or the textname assigned to the post by Tumblr. And be careful not to leave any stray periods or spaces in there.
This change recontextualizes the post in Dashboard View, and the full history of notes (or what looks like it) is now accessible.
I don't know if this shows you all the notes back to Day 1, but it looks like it does (for now, at least – things do change here from time to time!). So reading older notes on a post is actually possible.
Hope this info is useful to all newbies (and even not-quite-newbies like me) facing the same thing here on Tumblr! 😊

sliman mansour - also referred to as suleiman mansour - is a palestinian painter, sculptor and cartoonist. he was born one year before the nakba in 1947 in birzeit, which is north of ramallah. he now resides in jerusalem. mansour is one of the most famous palestinian artists of all time, and palestinian american artist samia halaby considers him to be part of the liberation art movement¹. his art focuses on the concept of samud², or "a firm rootedness in the land." he is a founder of the league of palestinian artists³.

on using only palestinian materials during the first intifada⁴:
That was the philosophy of the intifada. When you read their literature and leaflets, it's about boycotting Israeli goods and trying to rely on ourselves. Most people were trying to do that, by planting their land or starting a small farm to live from. As an artist I thought, why don't we do the same? Why don't we search for natural materials to do our work from?
The mud came from my childhood memories. As a child I used to work with my grandmother when she was building beehives and even ovens with mud. And I was always around her, trying to help. So when I thought about material that I could use, mud was the first thing that came to my mind. After a while, once I started making figures, I realized that the mud also reflects the human fate with the cracks, people waiting to disappear, fall down and go away.
go take a look at his art. reblog with your favorite pieces of his.
