Campbell: Funnily enough, I first started posting songs on Tumblr. It was my first outlet. So it's kind of weird to being here all these years later because it felt like my own little world and I was like, "I'm pouring my heart out, but only two or three of my friends are going to see it." It felt safe because I didn't want to just go straight to YouTube. I wasn't ready for that. 

Nate: He wasn’t ready for the fame.

Jake: There’s a safe anonymity to Tumblr. 

Campbell: That's kind of how I met Jake because I'd post my songs and he would slide into my DMs, my inbox.

Jake: you slid into my DMs, Campbell.

Joseph: I just immediately think of Looking for Alibrandi or The Breakfast Club.

Nate: Heathers. Maybe Mad Max Fury Road?

☎️📞📱Do y'all know about hit 0 (zero) to skip the phone trees when you call your bank or something? Like when your problem doesn't fit into one of the categories they offer you?

Had to call my bank today to sort out a deposit that didn't happen as planned, and the phone tree didn't mention dialing Zero as a choice at all,

So by reflex I hit zero (or O for Operator) because this is the Old Magic. 😂

Bank did put me on hold for like 8-10 minutes but that's not bad for Friday afternoon, and then I spoke to a nice fella called Brandon who walked me through lodging a report. 💰 He credited me for the deposit and they're going to research the issue.

Tegan: It was like 8th grade, no offense to the guy but it was outside of a Dairy Queen and very gross and unmemorable. First kiss with a girl: life changing.

Yearbook quotes (Tegan): We didn't have yearbook quotes at our high school, it wasn’t a thing. We had dog tags made because it was the 90's and we were very influenced by Dazed and Confused. My dog tag said “mean people suck” and on the other side it said “different is good.” Sara's was probably like “I’m busy reading.”

When you think of a typical American high school experience:

Sara: Football is the main takeaway. In Canada we have football but it doesn’t have the same stature. It’s sort of like, you can play football or you can play hockey. But whenever I think about high school movies and television from America it’s always football and cheerleaders.
