Fascism is inherently unsustainable

because every fascist rise to power comes from a promise to solve a problem (real or imagined)

But this creates a paradox...

because the biggest threat to fascism comes if they actually SOLVE the problem, in doing so they negate the need for fascism

So if you are looking around at the world today and wondering why we have crises everywhere and no one in power seems to have any urgency to fix anything

Its because capitalism and fascism are feeding each other

Capitalism ravages the planet for profits and creates instability through exploitation and environmental damage

This creates a crisis

Fascism then comes in and blames the issue on a scapegoat, usually immigrants, but any politically powerless group will do (trans people are another popular target)

People get angry and distracted by the fascist rhetoric, and that gives the capitalists cover to go and exploit more resources and labor

And on it goes, crisis and profit, until society collapses

For someone who loves flowers I don’t like them indoors. They’re annoying, they die right away and they take up too much space. I hate flowers in a vase on the kitchen table, I really do. Indoor plants. Nope. No thank you. But then I’m someone that brings in 100 pine cones or a pile of autumn leaves sometimes and that’s not better in any way but I’ve somehow convinced myself that it’s better. I’m going to to stick with cactuses. They’re the best indoor nature thing. Everything else messes up your house. Lol.

So apparently, my dad just invented a new Tumblr word. We were talking about Transformers, specifically Ironfist, one of my favorites. He’s a precious, awkward, chonky, brilliant, autistic lil marshmallow. My dad described him as a “Smoofy”, meaning “A chonky marshmallow.” Can we add this to our Tumblr vocab, along with skrunkly, blorbo, and Glupp Shitto?
