“For being pesky and demanding,” Fives is right; Tup’s learned to swallow the standard issued slob of nutrients, but he’ll admit that getting actual meals is a Force-blessed day for everyone in this mess. Several moans of complete and utter bliss bounce around them already.

“Whatever it is, I’d kiss him,” Tup grins at him. “We got rice, Fives.”

“Too kriffin’ right”, Fives mutters, already sliding onto the bench beside him to dig into his own tray.

It was one of those nights after battle. Rex couldn't find peace. He lost few brothers today again. He was surprised when he heard a knock on his doors. "Yes? Come in!" It was Fives. "Sorry if I woke you up, but Echo's got nightmares again and now he can't sleep." Oh, so poor Echo was in same state as he. He stood up and followed Fives.

Echo was laying on his bunk and staring upways. Rex shouted order for everyone to wake up. Then he ordered them to bring blankets. No one asked a question, nor said a word. It wasn't first time they did this. Echo was glad it was anonymous. It fistly happened when Dogma had nightmares so bad he screamed all nights and had panic attacks from them. Now was Dogma in medical, fastly asleep and well. Echo helped the others to settle one huge bed for the pile. Jesse cuddled on the side, Rex tuckled him under a blanket. Then Rex layed down. Hardcase used the situation to lie on him, Fives settled next to the Captain. Echo cuddled to his batch-mate. Rex was so glad for this. He wouldn't dare to do it becase of himself, but it helped a lot. Tup snuggled to Hardcase and their weight pinned Rex to the blankets. It was so nice to have them this close. Rex knew that Tup used to have a lot of nightmares too. He would stay awake long into night and then be tired all day. Seeing him asleep was comforting and it made Rex smile.

Last to lay down was Kix. Poor Kix who's horrific medbay scenes made him scream with horor. Kix, who was trembling so much after the battles for lives of their brothers. Yes, that Kix, who had to deal with the aftermath of every single one of the battles. Rex was simply glad they were together again. He fell asleep.

A/N: Baby Boy Tup gets a happily ever after because I say so. Nothing bad has ever happened to him. Ever. Tragically, Google doesn't like my bad joke and kept trying to fix it.

“You’re going to burn into a crisp, and then what will I do?” Tup asks, laughter in his voice as he drops on the towel next to you, dripping cool water from the lake onto your overheated skin.

“Find a new girlfriend?” You reply sleepily as you stretch out on the towel, and then turn your head to peer at the man sitting next to you, “Or, just put up with having a girlfried, instead.”

Tup chokes out a laugh, “You’ve been spending way too much time with Fives and Echo if you think that was funny.”

“Mm, you still laughed though.”

“Yeah, yeah.” He grabs a towel and tosses it over his head, to dry his dripping hair, “Are you sure you don’t want to go swimming with me? It’s fun~”

“Tup,” You say with a laugh, “Bikini’s are not made for swimming. They’re made for looking amazing in.”

He hums thoughtfully, and you can feel his heavy gaze dragging down your body, “Well, it’s working.”

“You’d say that if I was wearing a trash bag.”

“You’d make the trash bag look amazing,” He agrees with a grin.

“You’re ridiculous,” You say with an answering grin as you sit up. You reach out and tuck some of the wet hair sticking to his cheek behind his ear, “Are you having fun?”

He catches your hand and presses a feather light kiss to your knuckles, “Yeah. I am. Thank you for bringing me on your vacation.”

“Mm, thank Rex for allowing it.”

“Oh, I already have to bring him a souvenir.” Tup says dryly, “It’s payment for allowing me to come.”

“Oh? I can see you’re right on that.”

“I’ll bring him some sand. It’ll be fine.”

A giggle falls from your lips, “Tup,”

“Anyway! You need more sunblock or you’re going to burn and you won’t want me touching you.” Tup announces with a dramatic pout, “And, naturally, I need to put it on you.”

“Is that right?”

“To make sure you don’t miss any spots,” he adds seriously, though there’s a grin playing on his lips.

“Oh, naturally.” You reach into your bag and press a bottle of sunblock into his hands, “I’m sure you’ll be very thorough.”

“Uh-huh. So thorough.” He squirts some of the lotion into his hands, and then rubs his hands together, before he scoots closer to you and brings his hands to your face, “Eyes closed, cyare. As much as I love your pretty eyes, I would hate to get sunblock in them.”

Obediently you close your eyes and melt into his touch as he gently starts rubbing the lotion on your face, “You’re so much better at this then my mom.”

He laughs softly, “That right?”

“Mm. It always hurt when mom was rubbing the lotion in.”

His fingers glide over the shell of your ears, “Well, the last thing I want to do is hurt you while trying to protect you from the sun.” Tup pulls his hands away from your face, and you open your eyes to look at him. 

“You would never.” You murmur at him.

His hand comes back up to cup your cheek, “You’re so beautiful.”

“You’re one to talk.” You tease, and you’re rewarded with his cheeks darkening slightly, “But thank you. When I’m with you I feel beautiful.”

“Good.” He leans in and brushes his lips against yours, “I love you, so much.”

You sigh and kiss him properly, sliding into his arms, to better hold him, “I love you too.”

Clone Wars Hospital AU Headcanons

Forgive me my shameless indulgence, but years of working in a hospital has given me Thoughts™ so just for some stupid fun: Welcome to the GHR: the Grand Hospital of the Republic! Where the Jedi are doctors, the clones are nurses, and the padawans are interns

501st battalion: Paediatrics

212th battalion: Maternity

104th battalion: Gen-Med

327th battalion: Orthopedics

Corrie Guard: Emergency Department

Headcanons below:

Paediatrics: Ward 501, Paediatrician Dr Anakin Skywalker

The ward is split on loving or hating Anakin, there's no in between

He's great with the kids though, the patients love him

Rex is the unit manager who has more experience than Anakin despite Anakin “outranking” him

Has to gently steer Anakin back on track and wearily remind him not to make orders just to spite other doctors

Constant happy music playing in the ward, everyone has fun accessories and brightly coloured scrubs

Fives and Echo are the most senior nurses and also the worst influences

Together they can cannulate a kid without them even noticing but also they're the ones shit-talking the annoying/unhelpful parents in the nurses' station five minutes later

If the kids are extra good, Jesse lets them colour in his tattoo

Dogma and Tup are the new grads - Tup is great with the kids, gentle and always gets them smiling, Dogma makes them cry no matter how hard he tries

Kix is NICU-trained and somehow still remembers every single piece of anatomy and physiology from training. Unparallelled medication knowledge. He’s the one all the student nurses want to be paired with

Ahsoka is on her paediatric rotation under Anakin's instruction

She's the intern the nurses give their feedback and requests to when they don't want to talk to Anakin, because they know Anakin will listen to Ahsoka over them

Maternity: Ward 212, Obstetrician Dr Obi-Wan Kenobi

Obi-Wan works closely with Anakin, refers most of his clients there for their child’s care

Anakin did rotations with him in training, Obi-Wan sometimes forgets that he's now a fully registered doctor and will still try to instruct/encourage him

Obi-Wan has borrowed Ahsoka for days in clinic or in the birthing unit, during which time the nurses will spend their entire shift trying to convince her to come to their unit instead

Obi-Wan is beloved by the nurses because he actually asks them for their input, unlike SOME doctors who just give orders (Anakin)

Did you catch him talking to the unit manager after handover this morning?? Hardcore flirting at 7:05am?? Cody was definitely into it

Cody is one of the most involved unit managers - he’s on the floor with the other nurses most days, always staying overtime and pulling double shifts to help keep things running smoothly

Waxer and Boil are considered bad luck charms - whenever they’re rostered on the same shift, things will always go to shit

God forbid either of them mentions it being “nice” or “quiet” on any given day - that just guarantees that three minutes later they’ll have five labouring people come in actively pushing 

The two of them once delivered a baby in the parking lot outside because the mother didn’t make it in time - the parents still bring Numa in to visit sometimes

Their nurses have the best stories, sometimes even more gory than ED

General Medical: Ward 104, Physician Dr Plo Koon

Has Dr Plo been here forever?? Nobody at the hospital can remember a time he didn't work here

The best doctor, agreed by all nurses and patients

Keeps offering free check-ups to the nurses on the ward

Brings snacks for the nurses' station

Wolffe is the scariest unit manager there is - grads and students are terrified of him

The unit is the most efficient in the hospital because of it

God help the pathologist who loses a sample from them. He will not hesitate to riskman you

*Over the PA* “Visiting hours finish at 1900. It is now 1902. Get the fuck out.”

Emergency Department: Corrie Guard, lawless wasteland

Boost, Comet and Sinker knew him in training and are immune to his glare, they use this power to constantly fuck with him

Caffeinated to the point of medical concern

Lectures drunk uni students about the dangers of alcohol before finishing night shift at 0730 and going home to drink wine straight from the bottle

If Fox has to triage one more belligerent idiot demanding immediate attention for a stubbed toe he's going to come through the plastic window and throw hands

Take the turkey sandwich and shut the fuck up

Constant arguments with the ward over whether or not the patients are stable enough for ward transfer

Just take the fucking patient Wolffe, they've got enough to deal with down here, they're bed blocked and there's a line out the door

Orthopedics: Ward 327, Orthopedic surgeon Dr Aayla Secura

They all started in sports science

The most jacked nurses

Group gym sessions before or after shifts

I don't care if you're tired. You're getting out of that bed whether you want to or not. Use it or lose it. Mobilise, bitch.

They’re the ones who keep stealing the bladder scanner from gen med but won’t admit to it

If you witnessed the incident between Dr Secura and the unit manager Bly at the last Christmas party, no you didn't

Bonus:

The Bad Batch are agency nurses, they go where they're needed and everyone hates them because they make more on the hour for it

Weird mish-mash of different skills and background knowledge

Will go eat dinner in their car instead of in the break room with the other nurses

Tech will not stop correcting people on the wards he’s put on, he is not popular for this despite mostly being right

“You can’t nurse-initiate that drug.”

“That phone order is invalid. We need to call the doctor for another.”

“The patient’s blood pressure is 135/82. This is technically outside normal parameters.”

Crosshair openly shit talks the other nurses with his patients because he knows he won’t be there tomorrow to catch the fallout

Life Day: Clone Dance Hardcase is a Menace Edition

Knee deep in Fox's highly caffeinenated Black Spire Brews at the Pantoran Life Day Art Installation, Rex made the mistake of finally allowing Hardcase to lead the 501st's group dance.

Our boy declared himself to be 'the Captain now,' resulting in a salty Rex banning him for the rest of Life Day Eve and cutting him off from the bar.

Which had about as much affect on him as every imperious officer eyebrow leveled in his direction ever has.

This hasn't damaged Cody and Fox, not in the slightest.

A Night at 79s -

If your favorite clones were all at 79s, what would their drink order be? What's everyone up to (dancing? drinking? brooding?)? Who gets the most drinks bought for them?

Or, if you'd prefer, what would a night out with the Trooper (of your choice) be like?

Really glad that I saved this for today! Coming up with head canons always makes me feel better. So I answered both, because I needed to talk about my Beloved Hardcase.

I did a bunch of the guys. If anyone wants others let me know!

Headcanons below the cut because this got LONG.

501st Guys

Captain Rex- Jameson and Ginger Ale – One eye on his boys while he talks to the commanders. Is interrupted by interested parties frequently. He is awkward and Wolffe ends up distracting them for him.

Fives- Mojitos and Dancing and Flirting as a team with Echo

Echo-Classic Daquiri (not the tropical frozen variety)-Dancing and Flirting as a team with Fives

Jesse-Why do I feel that this guy drinks beer? Probably a half decent one. Not bothered enough to be picky about it. Flirting and very occasional dancing.

Kix-Gin and Tonic- Holds down the table unless someone pries him away from it

Hardcase-Cycles through sweet cocktails. Along the lines of Taquila Sunrise, Mai Tai... Dancing, general running around talking to EVERYONE.

Tup- much like Hardcase he likes the sweets. Cycles through a few, not totally on purpose but because he is the one getting the most drinks bought for him. Being flirted with constantly.

Dogma-Club Soda with lime. He's the “DD” nevermind that no one has to drive. Brooding and having some people tentatively flirt with him.

Our Commanders

Commander Wolffe- Mint Julep – Broods at the “Commanders table” Glares at anyone he thinks is out of line. Very courteous to women, to the point it borders on flirting.

Commander Cody -Old Fashioned – Spends most of his time talking to Rex.

Commander Fox- Cosmos and Exhaustion. Talks to Wolffe and the others, has a few people flirt with him. Turns down dancing because he feels awkward. Ends up staring off into the middle distance actually asleep with his eyes open at the club.

The Bad Batch

Hunter-Another beer drinker. He kind of screams micro brew to me. Sits at the bar and talks to the bartender (Pre-order 66) Broods (Post-order 66)

Wrecker-”Whatever's good!” Will happily take the special. Dances and talks to people. Flirts without knowing he's flirting.

Crosshair- Bourbon on the rocks. Flirting or conversation with someone. Like a quieter more focused Wrecker, more teasing with his flirting. Post order 66 brooding, talking to a brother (batcher or reg), or simply sitting watching everything happening. He likes to have someone to sit with, but not HAVE to talk.

Tech-Moscow Mule. None he is on his datapad.

Echo (BB Era)-Has adopted Rex's Jameson and Ginger Ale choice. Usually hanging out at the bar/table. Has a few people hesitantly approach him. Depending on his mood he might indulge in some light flirting.

Bonus : My Corrie OCs Even- Sidecar -Will be watching to see if Kaija shows up, but will happily talk to anyone. Light flirting is likely.

Sharp- Bloody Mary with plenty of spice - broods/babysits Thrill.

Thrill- Margarita (he has a thing for the color green)- Mostly dancing, finding people to dance with, more dancing.

A Night at 79's with My Beloved Hardcase.

-When he sits at the table with his brothers he has you sit on his lap. More to keep him grounded than anything. Keeps him from getting up and wandering off mid conversation, helps keep him focused. Will be talking to one of his brothers while you talk with another.

-Does want to dance with you. Does not care if you or he even can dance. You are moving on the dance floor. He whisper-yells jokes and compliments in your ear on the dance floor.

-Frequently grabs your hand to pull you with him to whatever he is off to next. Back to the table, over to some guys he met from a different part of the GAR, an interesting civilian he's met before, another drink from the bar, back to dancing.

-When the club shuts down you go with everyone to an all night diner for food. Talking, and being much too loud for that time of night your tables are a haze of happiness. Eventually you start to doze on Hardcase's shoulder and he takes you home, gets you comfy and snuggles you to sleep.
