who's your mommy?
This was written by a minor, if you don’t like that that’s okay you don’t need to read.
when Natasha comes over for a week to stay with you and your mom, she learns that you may have had sex with your now ex girlfriend but your hers? Can’t you see that
warning: smut, mommy kink, innocence kink, double sided dildo, legal age gap, pet names(detka means baby in Russian)
this is shit, I apologise for the terrible writing
Tumblr media Tumblr media
its summer break from collage and you where back in your home town for a bit staying in your child hood home.
You had grown up with only your mom and big brother, your dad had left when you where 6 for another woman and it broke your mothers beautiful heart, Natasha had come to stay for a year and a half after the day he left to help as your mom had a depressive episode.
eventually you guys became like a little family, you, your mom, your 11 year old big brother and Natasha. you still remember it, you still remember the day she surprised you by taking you out of school for the day and took you to the zoo and you accidently called her mommy.
after a year and a half Natasha had to leave and go back to New York, you never stopped missing her even to this day at 20 you never stopped, of course you still saw her but only every so often, every few years and every time she saw you it always made her proud for the good smart girl you turned out to be.
but lately she had seen you a bit differently, in a more inappropriate way.
today Natasha was coming to visit you and your mom. There was never really anyway to describe how seeing Natasha again made you feel; nervous or excited or maybe scared which was absolutely stupid cause you loved her and she loved you like a daughter, or so you thought and awhile ago she thought the same thing.
''helloo'' the door opens and you hear Natasha shout, you jump up from your seat running to the front door and jumping into her arms ''NATTY!!!'' you shout in her ear with excitement ''detka'' she replys with the same excitement as she holds you as close as possible, smelling your coconut scented hair.
''Natasha'' your moms voice sounds through the front hall of your suburban house. Natasha reluctantly puts you back on the ground and walks over to your mom giving her a big hug and you can see the giant happy smile on your moms face, happy to see her best friend and that some how made your smile grow impossibly bigger knowing how Natasha had always been there for the woman you gave you life no matter what.
you walk up to them pulling Natasha out of your moms arms ''Natty i want your attention, i've not seen you in foreverrrrr!!!'' you whine
''And here i was going to say how grown up you are but it seems like your just the same little girl who called me mommy'' she smirked making you blush and duck your head.
you offered to take Natasha's suit case up stairs to her room that was left from when she lived there, you had never let her move any of her stuff out, always going into her room when you missed her. but Natasha refused and said she'd take it up because she needed a shower any way.
when she was in the shower you started on dinner knowing Natasha cant cook and wanting your mom to relax but secretly wanting to show Natasha to see your cooking skills. you decided to make her favourite, well what was her favourite last time she tried to make you dinner, which was when you where 6 you had never seen her cook since then.
you got the chicken wings out of the fridge and the sauce you made earlier, you dipped the chicken in eggs then bread crumbs and fried them, next putting the crispy chicken and spicy sauce in a tray to put in the oven.
''mhm baby that smells delicious'' Natasha spoke giving you a fright
''oh natty you scared me'' you breathe, hand on your chest
''sorry little one'' she kisses the top of your forehead, she had always done that but this time it was different, it made you feel different, a way you had only felt once with your ex girlfriend Agatha.
''Natty, you need to leave, its a surprise'' you say seriously
''oh yes, how dare i interrupt the chef'' she says with faux seriousness walking out of the kitchen to sit with your mother at the dinning room table.
you continue to cook put the chicken in the oven and setting a timer. You walk into the dinning room to see your mom and Natasha sitting across from one another drinking red wine, you sit in the chair next to Natasha as you wanted needed to be close to her.
you rest your head on her shoulder, looking up at her ''hi'' you whisper
''hi love'' Natasha whispers back making you smile
''i need to go get the dinner'' you say still look up at her beautiful face
''go get it then honey'' she continues to whisper
''okayyyy natty'' you get up wishing you where still close to her, you hadn't actually seen her in 4 years, of course you had called and text but it wasnt the same and you never wanted her to leave again.
you walk in to the kitchen getting the food out of the oven and put it on plates.
you go back to the dinning room giving Natasha her dinner first, then your mom and finally yourself.
''so how's collage been sweetheart?'' Natasha asks
''gooood'' you hum biting into your food
''she has a girlfriend too'' you mom says unknowing how Natasha would react to that ''mh y/n honey this is delicious'' Natasha blocks out what your mother is saying turning to look at you with a look in your eyes you've never seen before, almost like jealousy but that made no sense why would she be jealous?
''we broke up actually'' you say with a saddened voice
''oh baby im so sorry'' Natasha faked sadness for you, she wasn't sorry, she wanted you, she was going to be your mommy again. ''but i hope there wasn't any touching'' she turns to give you condescending look, you cant reply knowing that there was, but only once.
she picked up on this giving you what you thought was a disappointed look.
for the rest of dinner Natasha practically ignored you and it broke your heart thinking she was disappointed in you.
--------------------------------------
it was now 10pm, you, your mom and Natasha had all watched your favourite movie. You had cuddled into Natasha the whole time but she hadn't said a word to you, she hadn't even looked at you.
''imma go to bed now'' you say getting up from your spot on the sofa.
''goodnight honey, i love you'' your mom said
''goodnight mom i love you too........goodnight Natty.... i've missed you and i love you'' and for the since dinner Natasha looked at you, her eyes soft ''i love you too little one''
----------------------------
you are lying in bed in your favourite pjs that Natasha had got you for your birthday a few years ago unable to sleep knowing Nat was upset with you, you couldn't sleep like this. you get up from your bed and tip toe down the hall till your reach Natasha's bed room door, debating where to knock or just to walk in, you decide on just walking in in case she is sleeping.
when you walk in you are surrounded by the sound of panting, you frow your brows ''Natty are you okay?''
''fuck'' you here her mumble and see her head pop out of under the covers, you start to laugh and Natasha's face changed from a worried one to a confused one ''what, what's funny?''
''Natty! your hairs so messy! what the hell where you doing?'' you giggle, Natasha smiles seeing that your still her innocent little girl.
''i was just thinking about you baby girl'' that was true she was thinking about you she may just have been........ touching herself at the same time
''thinking about me makes your hair crazy?'' you continue to giggle
''it makes lots of things crazy detka''
''can i come into your bed natty?'' this was her shot, in all honesty she came this week of course because she had missed you but really because she needed to touch you, to have you, it wasn't a want anymore.
''of course you can sweetheart you don't even need to ask'' with that you get in to her bed, cuddling your head into her chest. ''how did you and your girlfriend touch honey?'' she speaks after a minutes silence and you blush yet again '' was it like this?'' Natasha cups your pussy with her already wet hand that was covered in her juices.
she watches as your face scrunches up ''Natty....what- what are you-'' Natasha cuts you off ''teaching you who you belong to princess and calling me mommy'' she says pulling your pj bottoms down as you whine.
''no panties?''
'' Aggie said it was bad to wear panties''
'' well she was right baby but you still wore your pj bottoms, you should do that because if mommy thinks you need her it'll be really hard for mommy to help you'' she rasps
'' 'm sorry mommy'' you squeaked as she started to rub her fingers against your clit
'' its okay, Aggie was mean and didn't tell you that but mommy did because im nice and i want to be able to help my baby'' Natasha speeds her fingers up making you moan as she lies between your legs teasing you. ''mommy is going to show you soooo much love tonight, you have no idea how long mommys waited to have you here'' Natasha then takes her fingers of your clit to see how you'd react, she wasn't going to let this be over fast, she had waiting to long for it to end in 2 minutes.
''mommy wh- why did you stop?'' you voice shakes needing to feel her against you again.
''awww do you need mommy to make you feel better, to fix the feeling in your tummy?'' she teases as she gets up walking over to her dresser and stripping
''yes mommy please, please please fix it, it hurts. i need you mommy'' you beg relentlessly just like she imaged you would.
she was turned away from you so you couldn't see what she was doing, she open one of her drawers pulling something out and after a few seconds turning back around.
''mommy whats that?'' you ask in fear as you stare down at the two sided dildo, the smaller side already inside of her.
''its whats gonna make you fell better dove'' Natasha climbed atop the bed pulling you down by your open legs ''this is gonna hurt a little sweetheart but i promise that in a few minutes you'll feel amazing, okay?'' she was worried for you but far more excited to ruin you and make you all hers, her little baby.
she starts to slowly push the head of the strap inside of you, making you let out a scream ''honey you need to be quite for mommy'' she whispered hoping that put it in your head to be quite.
once half of the strap is inside of you Natasha starts to take it out only to then thrust the entire length into you
she watched in pride as you bite your lip to stop your scream and tears streamed out of your eyes ''such a good girl for mommy, i promise it gets better'' Natasha's voice is surprisingly soft. she starts to very slowly thrust into you, loving all the noises of your cute little whines.
''mommy can i have more please?'' you moan into her ear, how could she say no to that. Natasha starts to thrust recklessly into you “mo-mommy mhm I-“ you moan
“Gonna cum all over mommy’s cock huh?” She rasp as she feels the coil in her stomach and brings her hand down to play with your clit
“mommy it to mu-much” you whine “feel like imma explode mommy”
“it’s okay baby explode for mommy” she thrust, look down to see you squirt all over her dick “such a good little girl” Natasha hums
“mommy- to much now” you cry after your orgasm is over as Natasha continues to thrust in to you at an outrageous speed.
“mommy need to cum to honey so be a good girl and lie still and let mommy use you as her fuck toy” you whine but do as told wanting to do what Natasha asks of you
“who’s your mommy?” Her voice is lustful as she gets herself off using your body
“you” the whispers falls out of your mouth
“who own you baby? Aggie?” She growls at her own mention of the woman
“no you own me mommy”
“fuck” Natasha groans as she finally cums riding out her high and pulling out of you, then taking the other end out of herself. Natasha climbs into the bed pulling you into her arms
“you mine now baby girl and no else is going anywhere near you”

For the Avians you’ve already posted, what are their favorite foods?
AHHH! I'm sorry my friend! I swear I saw this ask the day you sent it I've just been slacking because I started a new file for BOTW. 😅 Anyways! All their favorite foods are all the recipes you can make in BOTW because Wild is the one that mainly makes their food and also because it's easier that way.
Time - Warm Milk Meaty Rice Balls. "The sweet and spicy meat stuffed into these rice balls will keep you full for some time." Time to me just seems like the kind of guy that enjoys food that he can eat with one hand. That on top of the practical element that this food keeps you full for some time just seems like something he would enjoy and prefer to eat while on the road.
Twilight - Pumpkin Stew. "Simply simmer a fortified pumpkin to make this dish. A favorite in Kakariko Village." This man canonically made pumpkin stew in his adventure so this is his favorite food mainly because it reminds him of home and also because it's one of the only foods he is actually able to cook.
Sky - Salmon Risotto. "Restores your health and temporarily increases your maximum hearts. The rice used in this rich risotto permeates the light flavor of the salmon." I don't even have a solid explanation or reason for this one I just feel it in my soul that Sky loves seafood. Turns out there's not a lot of fish when you live in the sky.
Warriors - Carrot Cake. "Even those who don't like carrots tend to enjoy the mild sweetness of this cake." Ironically, I don't think this is Warriors' favorite food because of taste, but more because of the memories he associates it with. I'm a huge supporter of the "Warriors is a Momma's boy" agenda and I headcanon that his mom made carrot cake for his birthday every year when he was young and that's why he still loves it to this day.
Legend - Apple Pie. "The crispy, flaky pie crust and sweet apples are a match made in heaven." Listen, I know the Zelda manga aren't technically canon but neither is this Winged AU so I can believe what I want in my heart. Anyways, in the A Link to the Past manga his whole goal is for his apple orchard to succeed so I'm a firm believer that Legend LOVES anything with apples, but apple pie holds a secret special place in his heart.
Hyrule - Monster Cake Creamy Heart Soup. "Enjoying this sweet soup with another person will bring you both closer together." Hyrule is such a sweetheart with so much love to give you cannot convince me that his favorite food wouldn't be the creamy heart soup. Also the fact that hearty radishes are one of the best ingredients to replenish hearts fits with his whole fairy/healing agenda.
Wild - Wildberry Crepe. "Sweet, tart wildberries are folded into thin, springy dough to make this dessert." Aside from literal rocks, I just feel like this would be his favorite "treat yourself" comfort food. Other than that, I don't really have solid reasoning for this choice other than the fact that I think he deserves to have nice things and also because this is my favorite thing to make in BOTW.
Four - Curry Rice. "A favorite all over Hyrule, this simple dish has a flavor you just won't get tired of." I headcanon that Four is a pretty easy guy to please when it comes to food. He's basically four racoons in a trench coat so it's pretty easy to guarantee that SOME PART of him will like whatever he is eating, though he does tend to favor slightly spicier foods.
Wind - Seafood Meuniere. "Rich butter flanks fresh seafood. The secret ingredient is lots and lots of love." Now go ahead and try to tell me that that description is not something his Grandma would say. Try it I dare you lol. Anyways that phrase combined with the fact that it is a seafood dish just SCREAMS Wind to me.
Anyways, these are all just my personal headcanons! Let me know if you all had any other ideas or headcanons in mind! 😊

He's still there. You try to ignore him as you stand in the same clothes you arrived in, a plastic bag for your few belongings. Your phone, mitts, and hat.
The nurse has you sign off for your discharge and it's done. You're free. You don't feel it.
"I'll drive you back to campus," he offers as he holds the door.
You say nothing as you go into the hall. Your coat smells of river water, stale and dirty. He walks beside you, patiently.
You want him to go away. He won't. He hasn't since the day before. He carries the flowers you forgot.
"I don't want those," you say as you walk down the slight incline towards the emergency room exit.
"You should put them in your place, they'll brighten it up," he suggests.
"Why?"
"What?"
"Why are you still here? Why are you bothering me?"
"Not every day I drag a girl out of the river half-dead."
"So it's for you?" you stop before the automatic doors, "keep your flowers and your pity."
He arches a brow, irritated, but suppresses it.
"I drive a red Focus," he says as he waves you out the doors, "heated seats, the whole shebang."
"I'll take the bus."
"Oh yeah? You got a pass?"
You stop short at the curb before the unloading area. You sigh. "Not on me."
"So?"
"So." You counter dully.
You let him guide you across the ambulance dock and down to the lot. You follow him between tightly parked vehicles and he stops in front of a crimson Ford. He nods at the door. You get in, impatient to be back at your dorm.
He places the flowers in your lap before snapping the door shut. He grunts as he lowers himself into the driver's seat. He turns the engine and pulls out wordlessly.
"You hungry?" He asks as he heads towards downtown, "I know this burger joint--"
"No," you interject.
"Come on, I know hospital food is no good."
"Not hungry," you insist as you watch the streets through your window, the scent of pollen tickling your nose.
"Well, I am," he says as he turns off, "I could use a double cheeseburger with wings. Oh the cheese they use, melts just perfect. Rings crispy but not too greasy--"
Your stomach growls loudly. You huff and keep your eyes averted. You know he's looking at you in the mirror. Taunting you. Like everyone does.
You don't answer him as he steers past a sign and joins the line for the drive-thru. You lean against the door and hug the vase, petals brushing against your neck. Carnations, you think.
He pulls into a spot as the smell of the food further knots your gut. He crinkles the bag and hums as he bites into a ring. He takes another and holds it up under your nose, like bait. You swat him away.
"Stop. Why are you doing this?"
"Because, you need to eat," he says, "and I know you want to. Hmm, saliva's all on your tongue and your feel like you're being squeezed from the inside--"
"You're mean," you snatch the ring and shove it in your mouth with a grumble.
"Some tough love," he says victoriously, "go on, tell me it's not the best damn onion ring you ever had."
You swallow and shake your head, "it's... fine."
"You seem like a Fanta girl, I got you orange," he lifts a paper cup from the tray, "huh?"
You frown at the cup and take it from him. You are thirsty and the smell of the food has you ravenous. You take a long draw off the straw and you put it in the cup holder before slipping the flowers carefully down between your feet.
He hands you a burger wrapped in a silver wrapper then takes out his own. You say nothing as you peel back the paper. You pause and glance at him.
"Stop," you demand.
"Stop what?" he asks, a dimple in his cheek.
"Watching me," you sniff and look back at the burger. You wet your tongue as you inhale the savoury smell, "thank you."
"No problem," he answers before biting into his own, the noise of chewing quickly filling the car.
💙
Your phone is broken from the plunge into the river. Oh well. Doesn't matter. You leave it beside the flowers with your keys.
It feels weird to be alone. Before, you were used to it, now it feels scary.
The feeling didn't keep you from telling him to go. From snarling that he should just leave, even after all he's done. But he listened. Professor Barnes heard you and dropped you off outside your dorm and drove away.
You open your laptop. At first, you don't know why. To have something to do. You finish the orange pop as you click around aimlessly, opening and closing windows. You smell like onion and ketchup. You should bathe.
Outlook pops up and a dozen notifications stand in bold along the left panel. Reminders for missed assignments, automatic, nothing personal. One week and you're already behind.
It's all his fault. No, your own. You let him do this. You made the decision to jump into the river. You were stupid enough not to look around before you did.
You close out of your email. You can catch up or you won't. Doesn't matter.
You hit the first bookmark. Usually you just play games, never really reading about the few passing acquaintances on your timeline. You hate seeing the fun they're having, that you're not. College students without a care.
What's wrong you? Why can't you be like them?
You have a notification. You've been tagged. You open the post by your mother numbly.
'Send wishes. Today I received the call that my daughter is in hospital in serious condition. This mama needs a miracle <3'. Below the caption is a picture of her, preened and primped as usual. She doesn't have a single one of you to attach, as always it's about her.
You exit out and snap shut the lid. You sit in the grim unlit space of your dorm in the grey cast of the winter afternoon. You put your head in your hands and exhale.
What do you do now?

similarly to how lizzie is Definitely A Human and the sheriff is Not A Toy, oli is Totally Not A Ghost- but the thing is, it's unclear if he himself actually knows that or not. fwip brings up how pale he is and he huffs and goes off about how "i don't tan, dude, i just burn! i get all crispy! nobody likes a crispy oli, least of all me! and it's not like i'm getting much sun anyway when i'm in the bloody CAGE!". gem says that his voice sounded "all distant and echoey, like you were far away..." and he just pulls out a mic (which he didn't have and wasn't using before?) and goes "huh. did i turn on some sorta effect without noticing? let's see- ECHO! ... nope? no echo? alright then. y'know i bet it's just feeling spicy today. god knows i am. it's a spicy mic kinda night, y'know what i mean? yeeeaaah you know what i mean.". sausage says he looked almost transparent for a moment, and he just laughs and says "that long in the cage and you end up a very pasty boy. i'm like danny phantom if danny phantom was way hotter and also got stuck in a cage!" and sausage is almost distracted enough trying to figure out who danny phantom is to think too hard about the apparition he saw at the campfire and it's striking resemblance to oli.
oli walks into chromia one day, and scott glances at him and suddenly he's looking through galaxies and universes and timelines all connected by little threads made of ones and zeroes, and he sees dragons and sheep and songs and homes and circles and birds and water and people, and he sees a million instances in one person who's existence is statistically impossible and if he looks closer, too close, he sees himself and he sees lights and flowers and antlers and wings and stars and crowns and he is overwhelmed with the sudden knowledge that he is dead, that he is dying and being reborn constantly in a million simultaneous universes, that every cell in his body will be replaced and he will be completely new one day, and the knowledge is terrifying and freeing and unavoidable, and he sees a form kept together by sheer determination and stubbornness and he wonders if the difference between a ghost and a person is that a ghost has reclaimed every single cell that was once in their body, and he knows, beyond anything else, that he is looking at a ghost. and then he blinks and the millions of years that he was looking at are only a moment long, and he's left staring at a man who flickers through colors of magic and past lives like flipping through a book. "woah scott, cool place you've got!" the man remarks, "not as cool as the olipoligo, but y'know, that's kind of a given." and scott has so, so many questions- what are you what did i just see what are you doing here what ARE you what do you want with me- but all he can stutter out is "how do you know my name?"
oli laughs and tells him not to worry about it, and scott wonders when he learned that the man's name was oli.
[...ignore the fact that c!sausage feasibly could and probably does know who danny phantom is since he, in character, is naming axolotls after spider mans. i uh. i forgot about that]
WAIT THIS IS SO COOL???? AND TOTALLY POSSIBLE

Do lamia bitties like/love foods such as hot dogs, burgers, fries, onion rings, pastas, noodles, fried dumplings, and won tons?
Tumblr media
*As far as fast food and street foods go, the lamias all have very different ideas about what qualifies as “good.”
Papython (UT!Papyrus): likes fresh ingredients, get him an orange julius or shake shack item to sip
Corny (UT!Sans): he’ll eat trashy fast food... literally, he will eat it right out of the trash if you let him, he is a glutton for thing that are fried or salty
Krait (Gaster): will eat fast food but prefers street vendor items, let him have a churro!
FireRing (Grillby): fast food burger = no, restaurant burger = yes
Honey Bo (US!Papyrus): saucy pastas or noddle dishes, he loves the softness of noodles and the flavor of sauces
Pygmy (US!Sans): any food you give him turns into fast food... so something he can carry like food on a stick is his fast food fave
King (UF!Papyrus): is a bit too health conscious for most fast foods, he would prefer home cooked or hunting
Coral (UF!Sans): he craves the cronch, he prefers a fried crispy outside with a softer inside so yes to things like onion rings and mozzarella sticks especially if he can dip them in some mustard
Chain (SF!Papyrus): loves sweet or savory wontons or dumpling-style foods, the variety appeals to him (Chains also tend to develop unique tastes depending on their travels!)
Mamba (SF!Sans): would generally prefer to hunt his food or eat something hand-made by his adopter, but he will never turn down a challenge food, so try to stay away from spicy wing places!
*Quick note here that a Corals absolute favorite thing to do is to dip potato chips (or crisps depending on your region) in mustard and eating them while they still have the crunch. His favorite flavor is salt and vinegar. It’s a taste he can feel and he loves it!)

Lubrano’s Pizzeria & Restaurant - Easton Ave in Somerset, NJ
Tumblr media
So it is completely by chance that I decided to check out Lubrano’s. I was on my way to Wings Over Rutgers and needed to stop at my bank, which just so happened to be next to Lubrano’s. I decided I had to come back the next day to check it out, and boy am I glad I did.
Tumblr media
Upon walking in I have to admit that I was a little disappointed by the options. None of the specialties really jumped out at me so I decided to stick with a plain. This turned out to be a great choice, because the plain was DOPE. First off, it had so much cheese. It was like a thick, dense slab on top of this thin, crispy crust and I loved every second of it. It’s like the amount of cheese you’d expect on a white slice, but on a plain. This may be a dealbreaker for some, but for me it was possibly my favorite part of my slice. The sauce was also good, as it wasn’t overpowering and had the slightest hint of a spicy kick to it. Real nice touch. I loved my slice and definitely want to go back for another. And considering how filling it was for a plain slice, the $2.67 price tag is definitely reasonable. Highly recommended!!

The Best Thing I Ate Last Month May Edition.
When I started kicking around the idea of writing about the best things I eat each month, I was trying to figure out if I should limit it to restaurant food or everything I eat. I ultimately decided it should include everything I eat because, more times than not, some of the best foods I eat are homemade. Unfortunately, I didn’t have the foresight to take more pictures of some of the great things we had or take any notes with the thought of writing about them, so I’m mainly going from memory for this month.
We started off the month pretty strong with some grilled ribeye steaks, grilled asparagus, and sautéed mushrooms. Grilling asparagus is my favorite way to make it. It’s done simply by tossing it with olive oil and kosher salt and quickly hitting it on a hot grill. It doesn’t take more than two or three minutes, and it’s very flavorful. I know a lot of people cook their mushrooms on the grill, too, but I think it robs them of most of their flavor, so I always opt for sautéing them in a pan with butter and a sprinkle of olive oil.
On Mother’s Day, we went to a cookout at my daughter's house, and our son-in-law Trey grilled some fabulous cheeseburgers that I will be the first to admit I overindulged in. But the star of that show was Christine’s desserts. She made a fantastic peanut butter pie, and I could have eaten the whole thing. But her toasted coconut cheesecake was on a whole different level. It may have been the best cheesecake I’ve ever had. She is becoming a very good savory cook in her own right, but she has a real talent for pastry which I hope she tries to develop.
Fricker’s is our go-to spot most weeks for many reasons. In my humble opinion, they have really good food at very reasonable prices, and most of their staff are fantastic. I had their original bone-in wings with their Bourbon Molasses sauce that I’ve fallen in love with. I love the crispy breading on their wings, even though David Chang says breaded wings are entirely un-American. Go to hell, David Chang. I love them. For a side, I had the brew city fries. I don’t know what that seasoning is they put on them, but damn, it’s good.
I smoked some baby back ribs that turned out fantastic. Whenever I make ribs, they will always make their way high up on the list of best things I ate. Which causes this weird dynamic in which because they are good every time, they don’t stand out in my mind like they used to. I love and crave them, but after I eat them, they just don’t stand out to me as if I had something good for the first time. Even if I don’t enjoy that dish as much, it still tends to stand out more because it’s something new. So I wonder if even though I think my ribs are great, they will ever stand out enough to me for me to say they were the best thing I ate last month.
I had the steak fajitas from Dos Lunas Mexican Bar and Grill in Tipp City. They were delicious but perhaps not the most stand-out fajitas I’ve ever had. If there’s a bad fajitas spot, though, I haven’t found it yet. Can someone please explain to me why I only get three tortillas, though? I always run out and just finish with a fork. Come on now, just give us more tortillas!
I came across a recipe for Korean beef rice bowls that I wanted to try. I try to stick to a recipe the way it is written the first time I make it, then tweak it more to my personal tastes. That will be the case with this recipe. It was good, but I feel like it could be better with some work.
I think the stand out for breakfast this month was my egg, ham, and provolone cheese breakfast sandwiches, which are, by far, Cathy’s favorite breakfast. I also made some fried eggs served over spicy hash browns with sriracha mayonnaise that would have been outstanding had I not had an amateur moment and broken two of the three eggs on the flip.
Hands down, the best thing I ate last month was Christine Applegate’s Toasted Coconut Cheesecake. I’m not a huge cheesecake fan, so for me to be blown away by it says a lot about how good it really was. The toasted coconut cut the richness of the cheesecake perfectly. It truly was an amazing dessert.
I would love for you to drop me a line and tell me what was the favorite thing you ate last month. And again, as someone I greatly admire once said, “Cook Free, Or Die”

🍔VADA PAAV RECIPE🍔
Tumblr media
I am glad that I could manage to bring this recipe to you guys!
Many of you must be aware of “vada pav” and many must have heard about it for the first time.
Ok! So let me introduce it to you guys.
Here comes my all-time favourite vada pav, which is a spicy, tangy, and breathtaking dish. It comes from the suburbs of Mumbai streets, aka
“BATATA WADA PAO”, which is a VEGAN fast food dish native to the state of Maharashtra, India.
It’s basically buns stuffed with deep-fried potato dumplings, salted and slitted green chillies🌶 and served with several dips like spicy garlic dip, coriander dip, or tamarind dip. In some parts, they serve it with a coconut dip.
I personally have different combinations.
And that’s what I am here with.
It perfectly turned out as an evening snack for me. And that’s the one evening my taste buds were triggered and, on top of that, my idea got wings due to rain!!!
Oooh!!!! What a perfect scenario for my dish to justify my mood at its best!
For this, you do need to have extra in your kitchen. You all must have seen lots of videos of it on youtube and must have tried it, and I won’t deny that for many, it must have turned out to be a better version than the original.
But my version was a bit typical and turned out to be finger-licking.
So let’s take a look at the basic things we need to keep ready:
🌟 POTATO DUMPLINGS
➡ 3–4 medium-sized boiled potatoes
➡ 3 cups of chickpea floor
➡ 1 tbsp red chilli powder
➡ ½ tbsp salt
➡ 1 teaspoon baking soda
Here, instead of making a spicy garlic dip, I preferred making dry garlic powder.
🌟 Garlic powder
🔥 4–5 cloves of garlic
🔥 crispy chickpea boondi
🔥 powder of chilli peppers
🔥 salt as per taste
And I made two dips, which can be taken up as per preferences.
🌟 Tamarind dip
½ cup seedless tamarind — tightly packed (imli)
75 cups of water or add as required.
12 teaspoon cumin seeds
½ teaspoon ground ginger powder (saunth powder)
1pinch asafoetida (hing)
14 teaspoon red chilli powder or cayenne pepper
½ cup chopped jaggery or as required — adjust as per your taste
1teaspoon oil — any neutral tasting oil
rock salt (edible and food grade) (sendha namak) or black salt or regular salt as required.
🌿 Coriander dip
🕃 A handful of coriander leaves
🕃 4–5 green chillies
🕃 4–5 garlic cloves
🕃 salt as per taste
Though it doesn’t come in the category of a very healthy diet as it contains deep-fried potato dumplings.
BUT BUT BUTTTTTTTTTTTT!!!!!!!!!!!
Wait, why make your heart short?
Who said we cannot have vada pav while counting our calories.???????
If it cannot be a part of your healthy diet food family, then can’t it be part of your CHEAT MEALS🍴 ???? 😉 😝
So here is the chart displaying and breaking down the calories you will gain from one serving of vada pav.
I personally believe, and I am sure you guys will not deny it, that keeping yourself healthy and fit is a must, as the body is a temple which needs to be worshiped, as it is said in India. But where is it written that killing your taste buds can lead you to admire other foods?
See, we get one life, and in that, we dream of achieving many things, but what’s the fun of achieving that when you don’t celebrate it.
Enjoy every meal, but yes, you should know how to balance food with health and lifestyle.

You’ll find step-by-step photos and the full recipe below, but here’s why this recipe works so well:
Chickpea flour batter
Whisk the batter by adding its ingredients properly by whisker and beat the batter until it turns out to be extremely fluffy and creamy. When you see the batter changed its colour and has risen a bit to extremely fluffy and creamy, then keep it aside for at least 30min(must!!).
2) Getting ready potato dumplings shaped oval or circle
Aim for two to three medium size boiled potatoes, mashed with the masher properly. When these are prepared before hand , then the ingredients inside starts releasing its aroma inside making it taste every bit of spice added in it and delicious 😋
3) Ready your spicy garlic powder
Preheat the oil properly. When these are prepared before hand , then the ingredients inside starts releasing its aroma inside making it taste every bit of spice added in it and delicious 😋
4) Getting ready green garlic dip with lots of chillies
Aim for giving authentic typical old time tastes , I used a mortar-pestle. Though it’s an era of using gadgets and modern electrical appliances but THIS???? This turned out to be beyond my imagination. (Although using this took out lots of sweat . 😰 , but worth it 😍)😋
5) Sweet pepper fritters
Yes!!!! You read right! This was the twist which I brought to my recipe and trust me guys it turned my dish to another level. You will find people using green sweet peppers in almost the same way but I gave it the new form and it was beyond the level I expected.
Please let me know how your vada paav turns out in the comments. I love hearing from you.
INSTRUCTIONS
Take chickpea flour in a large bowl and add few carom seeds just for taste , add salt as per taste and baking powder to it. Gradually add the water to the mixture and give a firm whisk is the start and beat the batter until soft, creamy and foamy. Make sure the consistency of batter is neither too thick nor too liquid. Once done keep it on rest for minimum 30min.
In a pan add cooking oil, bring it to heat and add mustard seeds , cumin seeds, chopped garlic, grated ginger, chopped green chillies , add curry leaves 🍃 and sauté in oil for one or two minutes, then add turmeric powder and sauté that too, and add your mashed potatoes to it and give a good mix. Mix them well so that all the ingredients mix evenly and add salt as per taste and half lemon juice to it and keep it aside to cool it down
Take the sweet green chillies and slit them partially from the center and apply salt and mango powder inside properly. And dip in the chickpea batter we prepared and deep fry it.
In the same oil, take small green chillies 🌶 and slit them too and fry them for 1 min in oil and keep it on tissue paper to soak extra oil. Then later toss it into some salt
Dip your fingers into chickpea batter and drop the drops of batter in oil making it form small boondies of batter and fry till it turns crispy. At last, fry one full bowl and let it cool down. Meanwhile, take some garlic cloves and pierce it with a toothpick so that it doesn’t pop out from oil while frying and keep that aside too. Then take some boondies we prepared leaving some behind in the mixer and add fried garlic cloves, salt and red chilli powder to it and do the coarse grinding(This prepares my GARLIC POWDER DIP).
Finally, make small patties in the shape of my potato mixture we made and dip it in chickpea batter and fry them until brown or changes colour.
IT’S TIME TO SERVE!!!!!
Take the paav and slit it from between and apply green dip on one side and garlic powder on the other side of paav and on the same side put potato dumpling and salted green chillies.
Serve it with sweet chilli fritters along with green chilli dip and tamarind dip.

Pini Amir, a Yemenite Jew from Beit Yitzhak in Israel, bakes some of the best flatbread I’ve ever tried: fluffy, thick Yemenite saluf dotted with nigella seeds. When fresh out of his backyard taboon (clay oven), charred here and there for extra flavor, the saluf is dipped in freshly whipped tahini sauce or the lemony juices of a chopped Israeli salad. And it’s simply sublime.
But for Pini, the best part of making his own saluf comes the next day, when the bread starts getting stale. That’s when he puts a large pot of chicken wings, marrow bones and root vegetables on the burner, covers it all with water and cooks a rich chicken soup. Once it’s ready, Pini takes just the broth and mixes in hilbeh (a Yemenite fenugreek condiment, recipe below) and spicy zhug, and crumbles in a large pile of dried saluf to soak it all up. This dish is called ftout, or fatout, and it’s been Pini’s favorite dish since childhood.
“In a way, ftout is really a verb, not a dish,” David Moshe told me from his home in Israel. Moshe is an Israeli with Yemenite roots, an eighth-generation jeweler and a cookbook author who specializes in Yemenite food.
Fatta (فتّ) in Arabic means “to crumble,” and in this context it means to crumble or break flatbread into small segments and soak in liquid. (The Hebrew word “ptit” means a crumb or morsel and comes from the same root. Ptitim, which is plural for ptit, is the Israeli name for Israeli couscous.)
The Yemenite Jewish ftout is really a part of a bigger family of dishes from the Arab world called fatteh or fatta. They all contain crumbled crispy, sometimes toasted, day-old flatbread that soaks up some of the liquid in a dish. The most popular is fattet hummus from the Levant, a dish of broken toasted pita that’s topped with freshly cooked chickpeas and yogurt and is served for breakfast. Other examples include fatta with eggplant or chickpeas and yogurt on top; with beef, lamb or chicken stews; and even with rice. The famous and delicious fattoush salad comes from the same family. Tharid is another type of fattah dish, popular in the Gulf. In this version, the bread plays a larger role and is topped with a rich vegetable and meat stew. According to the cookbook “Feat – Food of the Islamic World” by Anissa Helou, tharid was Prophet Muhammad’s favorite dish.
Fatteh are usually very homey and messy dishes, and are served within the family, not for guests. Using leftover stale bread instead of tossing it away makes these dishes, which are served all over the Middle East, from Saudi Arabia to Yemen, Egypt, Lebanon and Syria, smart both economically and environmentally.
In the Yemenite Jewish community, the beloved fatout/ftout has several variations. One popular version is made with samneh (fenugreek-spiced clarified butter), eggs and honey. The saluf is broken into pieces and fried in samneh, then mixed with eggs, and sometimes milk, and cooked. It is served with honey and a sprinkle of nigella seeds. Some people serve the dish for lunch before the pre-Yom Kippur meal (Seuda Mafseket). It is sometimes prepared with other Yemenite flatbreads like malawach or lachuh. During Passover, the dish is prepared with broken matzah instead, similar to the Ashkenazi matzah brei.
Fatta samneh, as the dish is called in Arabic, is still made in Yemen, with variations including chopped dates or bananas, making it a porridge-like breakfast. And since dishes morph and develop with time and change of location, you can find Israeli versions that omit the honey altogether, and mix in Edam-style grated cheese, or sprinkle with za’atar, turning it into a delicious savory omlet.
Another dairy version of ftout is a warm yogurt soup called zom: Yogurt is cooked with a little garlic and samneh, stale saluf is broken inside, and it is served with zhug and lemon. This dish is sometimes eaten after Yom Kippur for break the fast.
But the most famous version, and Pini’s favorite, is the one made with chicken or meat broth. The Yemenite cuisine is known for its soups and it’s only fitting that the Yemenite fatteh would be made with it as well. Just like the famous Yemenite bone marrow soup, available at Yemenite eateries throughout Israel, the soup for the ftout needs to be fatty and rich. That’s why Pini makes his soup with chicken wings, rich with fat from the skin, to which he adds marrow bones or  beef chuck for extra flavor and fat.
Hilbeh, a popular condiment that is served with every Yemenite meal, is an important component in the ftout. To make it, ground fenugreek seeds are soaked in water overnight, when they become jello-like as they expand. The seeds are then whipped with spices, salt and lemon juice or vinegar. More elaborate versions include chili peppers or zhug, fresh cilantro and even tomato. It is addictive in its own right.
Pini mixes the rich clear broth with a lot of hilbeh, some grated tomatoes and cilantro. He adds a lot of zhug, because as a proud Yemenite he believes that spicy food is always better, and breaks all the stale saluf he has from the day before into the mixture. A few minutes of cooking together is all it takes, and the results, while some may say are not the best-looking, are so delicious, especially with a little lemon on top. For most of us, it’s a flavor combination we’re not familiar with, and I cannot recommend this enough.
Notes:
Fenugreek seeds, preferably ground (not the dry leaves!) are available at most Middle Eastern supermarkets and online.
A real shortcut would be to use a store-bought chicken broth. Just make sure to mix in some oil (olive oil is fine) or add some bone broth into the chicken broth so it is rich and fatty, as needed.
Another major shortcut is to use store-bought flatbread instead of making your own saluf. Just be sure to use a thick flatbread, not the skinny pita bread available at most American supermarkets; look for Israeli-style pita bread (available at many Kosher supermarkets and some Whole Foods branches) or get Persian flatbreads from a Persian supermarket. (If you’re in Israel, any pita bread is fine.)
You can use the hilbeh as a dip with pita bread. It keeps in the fridge in a sealed container for two days.
Ftout keeps in the fridge for up to four days. Reheat in the microwave.

[Poor Chronicles Pt. 21]
*STARBUCKS EDITION (the return)*
McDonald’s Wi-Fi glitches after you sign in once. I forgot how to troubleshoot it.
The cooking…this shit is hard. I was hoping I wouldn’t need a recipe or wouldn’t have to find a new cooking method…I may.
I made about 3-5 wings, only using olive oil. The first two, crispy, juicy, spicy, but not very flavorful. The seasoning did not do a great job. I was prepared, I sprinkled some parsley flakes and drizzled this “Buffalo” BBQ sauce that I grabbed last second.
The second two were crispy, nearly burnt, spicy and crunchy. Drowned out the over crisp with sauce. The olive oil was nearly completely black and had almost dried out. I was smoking up the house, but didn’t care. One of my housemate’s granddaughters was coughing from all the spice and smoke, so was she. I decided to open the back door.
One of the neighbors’ cat came to the door and was literally meowing and climbing to the screen trying to get in for about 5 to 10 mins, clawing at the door. I made a 5th wing. I took it out before it began to burn, the cat was clawing harder, I knew it had to be undercooked, but it looked brown. After the first bite, I knew it was undercooked. I spit that shit out immediately and threw it away. I seasoned about 3 and let it marinate overnight, no spice.
I decided olive oil would not be the best decision for today because the house still smelled like chicken and it could potentially fill with smoke again. I was skeptical because of the seasoning, but I decided to boil it anyway. It boiled in all the seasoning, but nearly all of it had mixed in the water. I didn’t like the smell, so I added a few spices. As all the water began to evaporate, I added the sauce for extra flavor. It cooked well to the point that the meat was falling off the bone. It was horrible, too much seasoning, very salty and oniony. I added more sauce, it drowned the tastes, but not enough. This method works, but last batch (4 wings) will determine if I’ll try traditional wings again and if I’ll every try not frying again. Will season when they thaw.
I’ve been thinking about this girl who I swore I’d never talk to again. Not anything to do with her, personal reasons, but I’m interested in this one thing (her pussy). We went to college together and she’s the only girl who I know actually lives in town. She messaged me after this party one time, but I was asleep. I was pissed when I realized who it was, the next morning. We’ve been on opposite schedules ever since. I’ve been thinking about giving her a nickname (SEXI). She’s been pissing me off. Last time we talked she said she was thinking about going to school again. The fuck kind of shit is that? Fucking nerd! Still skeptical on asking her to come here because she’s white and I’d have to be known as the one guy on this side of town who fucks white bitches. Enough on that.
Other than that, excited about getting phone service soon. I don’t know how I will go about my “social life”. Tempted to just do things by myself for fun. In need of stimulation. I went on tik tok for about 5 minutes earlier, this girl had the tiniest fucking waist. She didn’t turn around in the first 10 seconds like I expected, but she looked like she had the FATTEST ass in the back. Moderately stimulating. I need art though, like a museum or maybe a movie will do. I don’t know.
I don’t care if these are long. Tumblr does not have a character limit (or one that I can see myself exceeding if it does). I may not expand my following here, if someone finds it, that’s fine, I don’t wish to keep it private, but it should remain an app for those who cherish and enjoy it.
The Eagles and the 49ers took their first losses this season.
Chiefs, Bills, Dolphins, Ravens, Browns
Eagles, 49ers, Lions, Buccaneers. Only teams I see in the Super Bowl. Everybody else sucks.
In short, cooking is no easy task. Cats…apparently like raw chicken. You can tell yourself you don’t want many girls…but if you tell yourself you don’t want some pussy, you’re gay! I don’t care what part of the world you live in, it is not okay to fuck white bitches. No one cares if you have “hip dips” as long as you have a REALLY fat ass in the back. I may not even leave the crib, I might just fuck these bitches at home. I just don’t know if I want my housemate to hear this or know I fuck bitches. I do want to see some art or something interesting though.

I was contemplating waiting on posting this, but I thought, “Why not?”. I have Part 22 already, but that’s for another day (I also have 12%). I can’t spend my time creating an entirely new post. “Why isn’t this the ‘Mind’ series?”, I have delayed the series to start again at a later convenience, not anytime soon though, I don’t think. I also think this falls under the Poor Chronicles category more.

🌟Student discount alert! (10%)
📷 photos turned out kinda blurry here, I didn't even realize until I got home.
🍗 My roommate and I went out to eat Korean style fried chicken at 📍Bonchon on 23rd street! I ordered the lunch set of 6 wings (half soy garlic glazed, half spicy glazed) with a side of french fries ($9.95).
🍟Everything was so much crispier than I had expected- I had anticipated the chicken skin coming out soggy because of the glaze, but it in fact remained crispy throughout the meal! It was also surprisingly filling, I ended up taking my fries home. 🇰🇷I'm not entirely sure how authentic this place is, but the food is amazing and I recommend going, especially during their set lunch period!

5 Spicy Food Recipes That Brings The Heat: Benefits Of Eating Spicy Foods
If you are an adventurous eater who loves spices, I am sure your opinion has struck multiple conversations with other non-spice eaters. You might also have heard several people stating statement after statement how spicy food is bad for you and your health.
So, if you are one of those spicy eaters, what preference do you prefer? The mild salsa, the medium, or the three-alarm hot version? And if you are tired of listening to how ineffective those spices are for your health, how about the turns of the tables? What if I say about their health benefits?
Unlike other people’s statements, spices hold health benefits in more than one form, and you are backed up by science. Here, the herbs are not only chili but also others, such as cinnamon, turmeric, garlic, ginger, and cumin.
Five Spicy Food Recipes To Try
Before we move on to the health benefits of spicy food, below are some recipes to try.
Buffalo Chicken Wings
Ingredients Needed: chicken wings, vegetable oil, garlic powder, salt, ground black pepper, hot sauce, honey, and butter.
Marinate and season the chicken wings with oil, garlic powder, salt, and pepper. Preheat oven to 400° and toss the marinated chicken wings in it.
Bake until chicken is golden and skin is crispy as you flip them halfway through.
In a small saucepan, whisk together hot sauce and honey. Cook them for about two minutes until the butter is melted and slightly reduced.
Add the chicken wings to the bowl with buffalo sauce until completely coated.
Gorkhali Lamb Curry
Ingredients Needed: lamb chops, red peppers, bay leaves, minced garlic, chopped onions, tomatoes, black pepper, cumin, turmeric powder, mustard oil, lemon juice, soy sauce, and salt to taste.
Takes roasted chopped tomatoes, red bell pepper, cumin seeds, lemon juice, mustard oil, and soy sauce into a blender and makes a smooth paste.
Now, take the lamb chops and pour the paste all over them. Mix it well, then cover it and leave it for at least six hours.
Then, grill the marinated lamb chops on a charcoal grill and cook it well on every side. Chop them into small cubes.
After that, heat two tablespoons of mustard oil in a saucepan. Fry fenugreek and bay leaves, and dry whole red peppers till they turn dark. Then add sauteed onions and turmeric powder.
Then add garlic, ginger, red chilies, cumin, coriander, black pepper, and salt.
Again, add tomato-onion mixture and simmer for 10 minutes until it turns thick. Now, add the lamb chops and garnish them.
Choila
Ingredients Needed: boneless and skinless chicken thighs, soybean oil, chopped garlic, salt to taste, black pepper, cumin, diced leeks, ginger, paprika, turmeric, fenugreek seeds, chili powder, and mustard oil.
Mix the chicken, soybean oil, garlic, cumin, salt to taste, and pepper in a bowl. Cover and refrigerate for at least 2 hours or overnight.
Grill the meat on both sides until cooked through. Then, cut it into one-inch cubes.
Mix the chicken, leeks, ginger, paprika, chili powder, and garlic in a bowl.
Heat a saucepan with soybean oil, and then add fenugreek seeds.
Add turmeric as soon as the fenugreek seeds turn dark, and immediately pour the hot oil over the bowl of chicken. Hence, your chhoila is ready.

What is rotisserie chicken?
Rotisserie chicken is a popular, ready-to-eat meal option that’s sold in grocery stores. These seasoned, whole chickens are inexpensive and quick to prepare. They’re also very versatile, and can be used in a variety of dishes.
Many people enjoy rotisserie chicken because it’s a tasty, easy and healthy choice that’s low in saturated fat and calories. Plus, it’s high in protein, which is essential for building and maintaining muscle.
The downside to rotisserie chicken is that some store-bought varieties are loaded with salt and additives, which can negatively impact your health. Fortunately, you can find healthier rotisserie chickens in many supermarkets and club stores.
CR’s nutrition experts analyzed 16 rotisserie chickens from seven major supermarkets (Kroger, Safeway, Stop & Shop, Walmart, Wegmans, and Whole Foods), three club stores (BJ’s Wholesale Club, Costco, and Sam’s Club) and one fast-casual chain restaurant.
For each rotisserie chicken, CR’s nutrition experts evaluated the nutrition facts label and ingredients list to see what was in each product. They then compared those ingredients with a database of 1,500 products that have similar ingredient profiles.
Some of the chickens had more sodium than others, and the higher-salt ones were often higher in calories. Luckily, you can easily control your calorie and sodium intake by choosing light or dark meat, choosing skinless or with the skin, and choosing a chicken that has less than 500 mg of sodium.
How to make rotisserie chicken?
Rotisserie chicken is a great way to get a quick and delicious meal on the table. This dish can be made in a number of different ways, and it can be used in many different recipes, so it's a fantastic option for dinner on busy nights.
You can make rotisserie chicken using an oven or a gas grill. However, if you want to make it on a grill, it is important to truss the chicken before placing it on the rotisserie rod to avoid flopping wings and wobbly legs that can easily pull the chicken off of the rotisserie.
The first step is to season the chicken with a dry rub that includes salt, pepper, onion powder, garlic powder, paprika, dried thyme leaves, and a bit of cayenne. This will help to mimic the flavor of a store-bought rotisserie chicken.
Once you've seasoned the chicken, place it on the grill and cook until it is golden brown and cooked through. This will take about 30 minutes to an hour.
Another great way to enjoy rotisserie chicken is to use it in casseroles or soups. These dishes are easy to make and are sure to satisfy any appetite.
You can also reheat leftover rotisserie chicken in the microwave or oven. This will help to keep the meat warm and will ensure that it is safe to eat. This method is also a great way to ensure that you get the most out of your leftovers.
Ways to use leftover rotisserie chicken?
If you have leftover rotisserie chicken, there are plenty of ways to turn it into a delicious meal. You can use it to make casseroles, soup recipes, fresh salads and more.
For example, you can make a delicious chicken pot pie that everyone in the family will love. All you need to do is assemble some of your favorite ingredients and bake it in the oven.
Another popular recipe using rotisserie chicken is lasagna. Just layer the chicken with no-boil lasagna noodles, marinara sauce, ricotta cheese and mozzarella cheese. Then you can finish the dish with shredded cheese and bake it in the oven.
You can also make fried rice with your leftover rotisserie chicken. This is a classic recipe that you can make at home and save a lot of money.
This is one of the most healthy chicken salads around and it only takes a few minutes to prepare. You can mix in a few bell peppers and some other veggies to make it even healthier.
Soup is always a go-to when you are sick or under the weather and this particular chicken noodle soup recipe is especially good for those who are suffering from colds and flu. The soup contains high levels of collagen, amino acids and electrolytes that can help reduce the symptoms of a stuffy nose and improve your immune system.
A spin on a gourmet pizza restaurant recipe, this Spicy Peanut Chicken Flatbread is a simple and convenient way to use your leftover rotisserie chicken. The flatbread is topped with a light and slightly spicy peanut sauce and the flavors are sure to please!
How long to make rotisserie chicken?
Rotisserie chicken is an incredibly versatile ingredient that’s perfect for meal prep. You can use it to make sandwiches, salads, casseroles, and more! However, you must follow proper storage and consumption guidelines to ensure that your rotisserie chicken stays safe and tasty throughout the week.
To prepare your rotisserie chicken, you will need to remove any skin, truss the legs with twine, and season it with a simple spice rub. You may choose to brine your rotisserie chicken before cooking it to increase tenderness and moisture.
Next, you will need to assemble your rotisserie grill and set up the rotisserie rod. You will need to make sure that the rod is high enough to let the chicken rotate completely.
Once you have a rotisserie ready to go, insert a meat thermometer into the thickest part of your chicken’s breast or thigh. Then, take the temperature every few minutes as it cooks to ensure that your chicken is fully cooked.
The chicken should reach 165F/74C in the thickest part of the breast, which is considered “cooked.” If you want your meat to be more crispy, you will need to cook it for a little longer (see notes).
Once you’ve finished cooking your rotisserie chicken, you can serve it warm or cold. If you choose to reheat it, it should be eaten within two days of reheating or stored in the refrigerator for up to four days before consumption.
Conclusion
Whether you're a rotisserie chicken fanatic or just looking to add more meat to your diet, there are many ways you can use this hunk of protein to your advantage. For starters, you can make soups, casseroles, and pasta dishes that taste like they've been cooking all day without the complication of boiling, sauteing, or grilling your own bird.
In addition, a rotisserie aficionado can keep his or her hands clean by avoiding the usual kitchen cleanup, saving money on fresh groceries, and reducing waste and landfills along the way. The most obvious benefit of all is the ability to enjoy a wide range of nutrient-rich foods without breaking the bank, especially during those times when you're on a budget.
What's more, you can easily convert the rotisserie aficionado's leftovers into tasty meals that the whole family will love. With the right amount of forethought, you'll never have to go without a homecooked meal again! So get out your cookbooks and let's start spicing things up around the dinner table. Good luck! Hopefully you'll see your rotisserie aficionado smile as he or she enjoys the results of your labors of love.
